I like that Rapunzel and Hook hand have a good relationship, she evens kisses him on the cheek to show she is happy is supports his brother, does this mean Rapunzel viewed hook hand as a closer friend than others?

The others from the Snuggly Duckling? He's certainly the one she bonded with first in the movie.

Rapunzel: Find your humanity! Haven't any of you ever had a dream? Hook Hand: *storms up to her* ... I had a dream, once. *begins singing about having a dream, thus showing Rapunzel that not even the genuinely big and scary people in the world are necessarily out to get her.*

And while all of them helped them escape, Hook Hand is the one who showed them the way out. She also kissed him on the cheek when they parted ways in the Snuggly Duckling, which is frankly why I think she kisses his cheek in the series; it's a callback to the movie.

P.S. Ever noticed that his series design is based on his Tangled Ever After design, rather than his movie design?

Also, ever notice that he got the solid gold hook he claimed he was going to buy with the reward money for turning in Flynn Rider?

Anyway, to answer your question directly, she doesn't necessarily consider him a closer friend than the rest of the Pub Thugs - after all, she's spent the least amount of time around him - but there is a special bond there.

Briney Bubblebeard the Master of Sea Lore

Since I did a Pyritized fossil, I also wanted to do something with Opalized Fossils. Kingler is not a Fossil Pokemon though so I just gave him a magic Opal Claw instead. Personally Opals are one of my favorite gemstones, they get their rainbowy color because there are particles of Water trapped within the crystal structure.

Briney Bubblebeard is as old and salty as salty ole' Sailors come, He knows every nautical tall tail and has lived many of them too. He has stories as deep and dark as the ocean's depths, and as stormy as the harshest of tempests that can chill the toughest of warriors down to their bones and raise ghosts of old sailors from their watery graves, that's why he's been called The Master of Sea Lore! He goes around from port to port traveling with various crews at a time sharing his tales which have sometimes saves sailors lives.

Arlo Shelly the Gunner

I have drawn a lot of Pirate captains, but captains need a crew. I don't know who's crew he is on specifically but every pirate is welcome to be part of the Empress's Crew...Even if he may not be able to shoot straight. I imagine with Arlo it's like that scene from Spaceballs where the guy with crossed eyes is a gunner, the admiral his who's his cousin is also cross eyed, and every man in the room are also related to them... "I knew it, I'm surrounded by assholes! Keep Firing Assholes!"

"they're actually my twin cousins from London" Mirage explained to Hook Hand about her family relationship with them "Razzle Dazzle?" Cassandra and the Lilies also spoke in unison about Hook Foot's nickname Hook Hand gave him back then before the group came at the pub "holy crumpets" Louisiana whispered, Mirage seems to notice Hook Foot's disdained reaction by his big brother, but stays around with Rapunzel while everyone else goes inside the carriage "yeah, so maybe you two can.. catch up?" she asked him

"why? so I can listen to the jerk that crushed my dreams, brag about how he's living his?" Hook Foot suddenly snapped at Mirage and the princess before he walk away "sorry, you two. it's just, when I was a kid, dancing was my everything" he went on the lamppost, then got off "it was my dream, but not everyone was happy to let me have that dream" he explained about how his dancing made Hook Hand laugh, but not in a good way

"you kiddin'? dancin's for losers" Hook Hand's voice boomed in Hook Foot's flashback "he... said that?" Mirage felt surprised "yeah, but that's not all" Hook Foot nodded "then I find out he had a fancy dream of his own, and when I asked him if I could join him, he just laughed in my face" he continued the other part of his flashback when Hook Foot showed him the poster he made, then Hook Hand laughed again to mock him "ha-ha! only losers dance, Razzle Dazzle" then ripped up the poster he worked so hard to make

"that's when I gave it all up" Hook Foot ended the part when Hook Hand left his little brother along at the Snuggly Duckling pub to follow his pianist dream "that's so not like him, we had no idea" Mirage frowned that it's not how Hook Hand behaved when she and the Lilies had met him and his pub friends, before meeting Hook Foot
