Self-aware Honkai Star rail characters opinion on you being a streamer.
Characters: Acheron, Jingliu, Aventurine, Dr. Ratio
————
Acheron
“How… irritating” she said her annoyance overtaking her entire mood and body language. Being forced to be on stage for people SHE didn’t nor about NOR care about.
Why must you make her suffer like this? She loves you, with all her being. But why are you airing her out to the world.. those ‘viewers’ of yours.
And that’s another thing. How do they get to watch you? You shouldn’t make yourself a fool for such unworthy humans. Have they even offered you a thing?
“Ayyy~ thanks for the bits and 20”
….you’d allow them your gaze for a mere 20 credits? (Money) either your benevolence shines brighter, or it’s blinding you.
“Chat what do we think of Acheron? I fuckin’ love this woman, she’s SOOO fuckin’ helpful for grinding and destroying the enemies… white bar health… yeah cause that’s what it’s called…please don’t clip that…”
Acheron could feel herself blushing, so she quickly performs her idle animation, leaning against her sword trying to hide the blush and smile slowly forming on her face.
Chatter—“She’s good, but she keeps taking your attention from us :,(”
Instantly her giddiness is sucked away and locked in a coffin as utter annoyance and disdain grips her with an iron fist “Storm's on the horizon, heading towards you”
“That was perfectly fucking timed… did that sound different to anyone else?” Despite acherons slip up, that hatefulness holds her tighter, refusing to let go.
In short, She loves you-she’s OBSESSED with you. But she WILL kill these ‘viewers’ if they stary your attention away from her one more time.
Jingliu
“What makes THEM so deserving of your gaze?”
Jingliu is similar to Acheron, but tripled. Unlike Acheron, she doesn’t bother to hide her hatred for those viewers.
Chat: Yo (Streamer Name) you should-
Jingliu: Your Ready for death.
She says it like a statement and not a question. She hates these creatures who take your gaze off of her, she hates how a measly 5 credits is enough to get your attention.
Your benevolence is your best quality, but also the one that’s easily manipulated, which simply makes her despise the fact that you’re TOO kind.
Jingliu hates the fact that your a streamer more then her not being able to ‘cut the stars’ with her sword. Why must you test her loyalty like this?
Is this even a test or a punishment for her crimes? Either way, this is too cruel. Being forced in the sidelines for a bunch of people who don’t offer you anything of value.
Is her crit damage/rate not good enough for you? Are her stellar jades not of the highest quality? Perhaps her blade needs more… BLOODSHED.
Unlike Acheron, jingliu would VERY MUCH commit crimes to gain your attention. Like breaking the fourth wall, taking an enemies or allies turn to attack, KILLING her allies so that your attention would be on her completely.
In short, she’s a much more blunt and unrestrained Acheron.
Aventurine
“Such Troublesome detractors…”
Out of everyone in the game, he’s definitely the most laid back about your occupation. Mostly due to his luck.
Course he’s annoyed that some no-named randoms are taking the attention from his god off of him for seconds, but it’s really nothing.
It’s extremely lucky that the characters haven’t killed him out of jealousy (see what I did there?) This fuckin’ Avgin gets the most attention thanks to his kit and luck.
Y/n: Thanks for the Dono-
Aventurine: Eyes on me~
Y/n: Ooo~ yes sir~
Aventurine has a UNIVERSAL shit-eating grin while others are glaring death incarcerated soul-sucking daggers into him.
Aventurine would probably join in on the thanks if a viewer sends you money/bits/cheers n’ shit.
Not much to really say here, he’s just laid back to the whole thing.
Dr. Veritas Ratio
“Stop this nonsense. Immediately”
Dr. Raito fuckin growls anytime everytime you boot up the game, cause he knows 99.9% of the time your going to be joined by those brainless viewers.
He’s completely baffled as to why a being such as yourself would degraded yourself to such… idiocy.
There’s only two possible reasons as to why you’d commit such acts. 1. Your benevolence blinds your logical reasoning, 2. You… enjoy it.
Dr. Ratio’s opinion on the viewers is that their brainless insects, he doesn’t even care enough to be annoyed by them, they’re just THAT low level of importance to him.
Y/n: Hey “Streamer Name” who’s your favorite character?
Dr. Ratio: Do you have answers?
Y/n: I- that was perfectly timed.. DO infact have answers. It’s (anyone that isn’t him)
Dr. Ratio: Fail… Get Out!
(If it is him)
Dr. Ratio: Perfect… Twenty Points.

I received feedback that my previous list of similarities and differences between Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail neglected to address details with a sufficient degree of relevance and had an improper bias. Hence, I've assembled a new list of the only aspects that matter, and adjusted the bias for each point accordingly. Please enjoy my list! I hope it gives you a good idea of the general feeling of each game. ;)
Genshin has a Water type, while Star Rail does not. Major missed opportunity here.
In Genshin Impact, if the same NPC is involved in current scenes in multiple ongoing quests, all but one of these quests will "lock" and the relevant scene in the remaining quest must be completed before the other quests can be progressed. This makes perfect sense when you consider in-universe continuity, but it still gets kind of annoying. No such mechanism exists in Star Rail, so some characters can quite literally be in two places at the same time, with results of varying degrees of absurdity.
Both games feature paired Chinese guardian lions statues in which both hold an orb (as opposed to a cub), indicating, by traditional guardian lion conventions, that they are both male. Gay rights!
Star Rail has moving streetcars. For anxiety reasons I have neglected to test whether they possess any degree of interactability, such as stopping if your player character walks in front of them, or, alternatively, colliding with your player character. You can also find automobile-like vehicles with three wheels that are, unfortunately, not interactable.
Puzzles in Star Rail actually make sense. The mine cart one is objectively the best.
You can't sit in chairs in Star Rail. :(
Fittingly for a game that takes place in space, Star Rail has a semblance of abnormal gravity, evident in the fact that the player character cannot jump. This means you don't take fall damage, but you also can't perform plunging attacks.
Genshin has big boys, itty bitty boys, Mississippi boys, inner city boys, pretty boys with the bow tie, and basically any other kind of boy you could want. Star Rail has sexy man, sexy man, sexy man, teenager (?), sexy man who wants to kill you, condescending sexy man, child (?), and more sexy men. Neither of these is a complaint. If there has ever been a time when I thought I was straight, that time is definitely not now.

A short and dirty review of Wuthering Waves after playing a couple of days (yes, I am a Genshin player but I will keep the comparisons to a minimum, it’s obvious they are very similar, it doesn’t need repeating 50 times, I will add a little section at the end comparing them based on my own enjoyment, but I want to judge this game on its own merit above all)
The game did start off on a bad note for me since there was no way to change the text language until after the first whole cutscene was done
I had changed the launcher to English before starting the game, and the voice over was thankfully in English but it definitely annoyed me not to have an option on the start up screen for things like that, I assume it based it off of my pc’s language but I could have that set to German for a variety of reasons least of all because I have a German keyboard and the layouts are different
(Also the German translation definitely didn’t seem like it was written by a native? There were just a few things slightly off on the grammar that threw me off just in that first conversation, nothing big but I wanted to mention it)
I googled even if I missed a setting somewhere since that is what I usually assume, but it seems like I wasn’t blind and that option is just not available until you actually gain control of your character and can open the menu
But after that point it was a quick and immediate change thankfully and yeah, the English VA’s are a bit weak in places, but I wouldn’t call that a big deal, it’s a Chinese game and probably focused on the Chinese market overall with everywhere else as a nice bonus (I actually learned a lot about this due to Genshin when CC drama arose there and Mihoyo only ever really started acting when Chinese CC’s were affected)
But ohhhh, combat is where this game really shines, it is so much fun
The intro and outro attacks, the echos, the dodges and parries
Just a very solid system that is a lot of fun for a Souls Veteran like me heavily relying on player response time
Also music as a big theme for combat? Really intriguing
And I do love the tutorials you can play for every character in your roster; yes it has the trial thing to test them directly, but once you get a character having that detailed tutorial in how you can play them is really great
I am also really loving the aesthetic of this game? It has that FF15 theme of marrying fantasy and modern technology which I really love (and not just because Yhan looks like grown up Noctis)
I have heavy critiques of a lot of the character designs, and also praises in other places, but that is honestly just par for the course with these games (neither Genshin, Honkai or FF for that matter are spared of that, I can get very harsh on the designs)
But I do enjoy the characters otherwise, and Rover's story is intriguing (I played up to Huanglong I - Act V Rewinding Raindrops) and I do want to learn more
What else would be interesting to mention?
Exploration is really, really fun, the puzzles are straight forward, not too challenging, not too easy and the sprint not consuming stamina out of combat is so nice
I'd absolutely recommend giving this game a shot, it has a lot of really enjoyable parts that can capture people for a long, long time
I will probably drop in and out of playing it after this initial start, since the story doesn't capture me the same way Genshin did, but that is honestly just a personal preference I also drop in and out of Honkai Star Rail since that story doesn't intrigue me as much as Genshin's does either
-
Now my direct comparison between Genshin and WuWa:
Genshin is build around the elemental reactions boosting damage output and WuWa lacks that, but I will admit I do enjoy WuWa's more player driven combat more (AND I ADORE THAT WUWA DOES NOT HAVE THE PHYSICAL DAMAGE WHY DOES IT EXIST I DO NOT UNDERSTAND)
I made a post about this just when I started Genshin how I missed a Dodge or Parry and WuWa gives that
But WuWa's teams are also limited to 3 characters instead of 4 which sometimes makes it feel slower? I don't know if that word fits, but that is my impression (obvi that might just be the characters I have chosen and how much more switching in Genshin is used for the reactions)
I like Genshin's Exploration more, but I do admit to liking WuWa's puzzles more
But when it comes down to it, Genshin's story, characters and lore compel me the most
It's also why HSR can only hold my attention in short bursts, because while intrigued, I am not compelled to follow through on it
#shut up ip#wuthering waves#wuwa#i won't tag genshin but it does get mentioned#tldr wuwa is a shit ton of fun

Good morning and happy beginning of summer everyone! We have made it through one full month of our expansion, and have welcomed so many new faces to our group. Thank you all for your patience in bearing with us through this transition.
This month is a busy one, welcome to the start of our Summer Solstice event! Details can be found in our event start post, including what to expect and how to participate. The event includes a groupwide theme as well as a minigame and a lore portion, meant to appeal to every level of commitment. If you have any questions please let us know!
In addition to this: some of you may remember the combat system testing we ran in February. As we continue to prepare it for future use, we are beginning to integrate it into our current talent system.
Starting this month, the Masterlist will require you to submit a claim via ask when your talents reach levels 5 and 10.
Once these claims have been processed, you will not be able to rearrange talent point allocation.
At Normal Attack level 5 and 10: you must include with your claim a choice of weapon from our weapons list. At level 10, you may claim your character's signature weapon and it will be added to the list. If you do not know your character's signature or they do not have one, you may choose any 5* weapon from their game. This can be a lightcone in the case of HSR muses.
If your muse is from Honkai: Star Rail or Honkai Impact 3rd, please reference this list to determine what weapon type they should claim. Please note that the weapons are for determining rolls and damage, and can be narratively flavored as whatever their canon-typical weapon in threads.
This information has all been added to our Rules and Guidelines in the talent point section.
As another reminder: please reference the talent points section in our rules to determine how many points it takes to level your talents. We have added a "total" column to the graph for better assistance in visualizing how many points are required per level.
Please remember to delete your thread title posts. This makes moderation's life much easier when conducting activity.
And lastly we would like to remind everyone here that this group is single-verse and intended to be consistent. AU threads are allowed, but they should be treated and acknowledged as such.
Don't forget about our month's feedback form! We cannot stress enough that if you do not submit feedback, we will not hear it. Even if you believe plenty of others to be saying the same thing, say it yourself. Our feedback form has consistently experienced minimal traffic, so please be sure to utilize it and let us know how you are feeling.
(For the month of June we request you save event feedback for July's form, as it will have event-specific questions. Thank you!)
-Mod Alina
