I was feeling brave, so here we are!
I do want to be clear on one thing though: I am not here to bash any books or any readers. I think everyone should read what they want, love what they love, and not be made to feel bad about that. Reading is subjective – and there are absolutely books out there for everyone.✌️

The Fiction Between Us
By Julie Olivia
Finished: 7.16.2023
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I blew through this book like a woman possessed.
Once again, Julie Olivia gives us a lovely romance set in the charming Honeywood Fun Park. I’m a sucker for fake dating, so I knew I was going to love this one.
Landon, the embodiment of a golden retriever, and Quinn, an actual black cat, creates such a nice dynamic. This one is a SLOW burn fr. I think I read it so fast because I couldn’t wait to see how they get together.
Once again, I’m pumped to read the next book!

Round 5 - Spring 2 (Years 15 to 18) - The Martinez Family
Okay, back to my BACC and over to the Martinezes!
ROS says the family should go for a picnic in the park this round. As there's already a grill there, I don't think they'll pack their own food to take but they'll definitely have a fun day out!
The first thing Victoria did as Spring broke was pick up the phone and call her bestie Catherine.
"Hi Cath! How are you all? Good! Listen, I heard about the Jacobses being burgled during the Winter and I think you know what that means - we're no longer safe here in Honeywood. I've always wanted to become a Police Officer and I'm hoping you'll let me do that here. You will? Excellent; thank you!"
Job sorted, she rushed into the bedroom to get ready for her first day.
Her carpool arrived at the same time as the kids' school bus and she excitedly ran out in her new uniform to greet it.
"Bye Domingo! Have a good day!" she called to her husband, and climbed inside.

Wanted Plots based on the Honeywood Fun Park Series by Julie Olivia
Muse A loves their job at a theme park but is hurt on employee day when the ride derails and the CEO/COO (Muse B) comes around to check out the ride, find out what happened, and make a plan to resolve the issue. Muse A comes back to work, despite suing the company for the injury, and meets Muse B not knowing who they are. They hit it off but things get complicated when they realize who they are. | I want to write Muse A for this plot. Most of my younger girls are open to this plot.
Muse A kept diary and wrote 'Mrs. Muse B' (best friend's sibling) in it only to get bumped into while walking the halls. Friends of Muse B picked it up, saw, and bullied Muse A for it throughout high school. Muse B didn't know how bad the bullying was, but Muse A thought Muse B was in on it. Years later, Muse B is back in town and Muse A confronts them about it. | I'm willing to write either sides of this plot.
Muse A's friend group has been going to the same bar for years for trivia night. Muse B is the owner and they seem more stressed than normal as the bar is going through renovations. Muse A and Muse be have a ONS gone wrong where Muse B ends up in the hospital. Turns out they don't have insurance. A marriage of convenience ensues. Let the friends to lovers or unrequited love plot begin. | I'm willing to write either side of this plot.
Muse A and Muse B are childhood best friends and they both have issues with relationships/commitment because of daddy issues. Timing is never right and Muse B ends up confessing feelings after they [finally] sleep together only for Muse A to ask for time to think about it. Muse B meets Muse C and things get complicated because Muse C is great, similar to Muse A in many ways... until they give Muse B an ultimatum. | I'm open to writing any of the sides of this plot and can do 2 of the sides too.

I've got your July FREEBIE here!
The moment we meet, it’s all downhill.
My job is providing happiness and smiles at Honeywood Fun Park, and Emory Dawson is the frown our park didn’t ask for.
When our star roller coaster malfunctions with me on board, the manufacturer’s heir and lead engineer, Emory, vows to renovate the attraction. So instead of having a fun summer season as Marketing Manager for Honeywood, I’m now saddled with playing host.
Wonderful.
Emory is the opposite of a good time. He’s the grump that won’t stop grumping, and our arguments escalate quicker than my heart rate after a roller coaster’s fall.
He knows I can see right through his broody gaze and big ideas. Repairing the coaster? More like overhauling his own company’s reputation, regardless of whether it helps our local theme park.
But when our firm handshakes start lingering too long, or when his muscled thighs rest against mine under the table, I’m thrown for a loop.
Most roller coasters are fun, but I’d like to get off this emotional one, please.
All Downhill With You is a stand-alone romantic comedy. This book is an enemies-to-lovers, grumpy/sunshine romance with laugh-out-loud theme park moments, a cozy small town, and sizzling spice!

Our Ride to Forever
By Julie Olivia
Finished: 7.19.2023
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Julie Olivia you’re insane
Going into this book, I’m going to be honest, Theo and Orson were the couple that interested me the least. By the end? I think they’re close to being my favorite ( I’m so sorry Lorelei and Emory). The chemistry that Julie was able to give them is crazy. I don’t think I’ve read a book where the main couple meshes so we’ll together. You can tell they both care so deeply for one another even if they don’t want to admit it to themselves.
I see a lot of myself in Theo and her experience with living up to the high expectations that she puts on herself due to her family. Also I heavily relate to Orson’s tendency to give too much of himself away. Julie Olivia is so great at making characters that feel real. I think that’s what is so charming about this series.
PHEWWW the spice in this one is immaculate. Definitely the book with the most in this series so far.
I’m also learning through this series is that I’m a big fat sucker for the “he falls first trope”, so thanks for that lol.
God I don’t want this series to be over :(( I’ve only got the last one to go. But oh my god Ruby and Bennett’s story is about to go crazy I think. So still excited even if I’m sad about the end.

Their Freefall At Last
By Julie Olivia
Finished: 7.23.2023
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Honeywood Fun Park will always be our home.”
Oh my god :,)
This series has me in shambles. The snippets of Ruby and Bennett throughout the rest of the series really made excited for this one, and it did not disappoint. Their story is beautifully crafted starting from the very beginning of their friendship when they were seven. We watch these two go through all of the ups and downs of growing up, and they face everything together. It’s probably the most endearing and sweet coming of age stories that I have ever read. They always had each other as their anchors. UGH they’re so perfect. I have no words to describe how beautifully put their story is. Please just go read it and this whole series for yourself.
It was also a nice treat to see all of the stories we heard bits and pieces about in the other books. We get to read about Bennett streaking across the football field, Lorelei’s accident, and the pirate festival. That’s not even scratching the surface of little treats that are in this book if you read the others. I know the series can technically be a standalone, but your definitely get the best experience if you read them in publication order.
THE EPILOGUE!!! I cried like a baby through the entire thing. Seeing all the couples living their lives with their kids. It was such a heartwarming way to end the series.
Julie Olivia I cannot thank you enough for giving us this wonderful world of Honeywood. I’ve just been getting back into reading, and I couldn’t have asked for a better series to really kick start my love of reading again. This series is going to be one that I come back anytime I need a warm hug. I’d be lying if I said I won’t miss the Honeywood crew, but I’m super pumped for the next series you put out.

All Downhill With You
By Julie Olivia
Finished: 7.15.2023
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Whoever’s video I saw recommending this series, I wanna give them a big fat kiss on the mouth.
I went to Dollywood all the time as a kid, and this book brings back all the pure fun and magic of theme parks.
The characters are all lovable and interesting. (Which is great bc the rest of the series revolves around them.) This is a super strong start in this series. At first I thought I wouldn’t like the two switching POVs, but Julie Olivia made it work nicely. It was nice getting the perspectives of both the love interests. Emory’s chapters either made me swoon or giggle, and Lorelei is a lovely MC that you fall in love with right away.
Slight spoilers I guess?
One point in the book, Lorelei is grumbling about how much an ass Emory is, and then it immediately to Emory’s pov thinking about how beautiful her smile is. I was kicking my feet twirling my hair.
Oh and the spicy scenes???? Julie you had my blushing like a Victorian school girl. That’s all I’ll say because PHEW.
Anyways, if you want a nice romantic enemies to lovers story set in a super charming theme park, then boy is this the book for you.
Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!

• Review: Our Ride to Forever •
Since discovering and *adoring* the Honeywood Fun Park books last year, I’ve been looking so very forward to more additions to this series of interconnected stand-alones.
And y’all – “Our Ride to Forever” is the *perfect* addition.
Following Theo, the ride supervisor at the local amusement park and a part-time yoga instructor, and Theo, the owner of the local bar, we get a fun, flirty, scorchingly hot story with so much heart.
There’s a complicated one-night stand to standing hook-up to (secret!) marriage of convenience to barely friends pipeline, nuanced family and friend situations, self-worth work, anxiety rep, and a roommates of convenice set-up that brings so much crackling tension that you can basically feel it rippling off the page.
And the spice?? Julia said this is the spiciest book she’s written and she was nooooot lying. Both Theo and Orson (*especially Orson*) are confident people with A+ communication skills – in the bedroom, with a wall between them, and anywhere else they find themselves.😏😏
Sweet, swoony, and so spicy, “Our Ride to Forever” will have you smiling from beginning to end.
4.5🌟

🎢A gigantic thank you to Julie Olivia for the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy of ORTF!💕

• ARC Review: Their Freefall At Last •
Since falling absolutely head over heels for Julia Olivia’s Honeywood Fun Park series, I (and I think a lot of people) have finished every book thinking, “What the hell is happening with Ruby and Bennett????”
And with Their Freefall At Last, we find out.
And y’all: it is SO GOOD. And *so* worth the wait.
With TFAL, Julie serves up a truly excellent childhood friends-to-lovers story, giving us Ruby and Bennett’s entire 23-year history (which SURPRISED THE HELL OUT OF ME in several places). It’s sweet and tender, hilarious and relatable, dramatic and emotional. So yes, it’s *everything*.
As the last book in this series that has brought me so much joy, starting TFAL felt very bittersweet, because I knew by the end, I’d have all the answers, and my the series would over. I told myself I’d savor it, that I didn’t have to binge it – but I honestly couldn’t put it down. And I really, truly loved every single page.
It really is the perfect ending to this wonderful series. And even though I now Know Everything, and have all the answers, I can’t wait to return to Honeywood in the near future.

🍓A truly ginormous thank you to Julie Olivia for the opportunity to read an advance copy of TFAL (and TFBU and ORTF, omg🥹)and be part of the blog tour! The Honeywood books are on KU, and TFAL is out June 22nd!

• Review: Fake Santa Apology Tour •
One of my favorite bookish discoveries this year is Julie Olivia’s Honeywood Fun Park books, so I was *incredibly* excited to dive into her holiday novella, “The Fake Santa Apology Tour.”
The setup is the best kind of zany holiday fun: Birdie Mae, a writer and illustrator of sexy Santa books who exclusively dates men who play fake Santas heads off on her annual writing retreat in a snowy small town and meets Nic (Nic! Of course!) a scorching hot, prematurely grey bartender who, well, looks like a young Kris Kringle.
And it turns out they met each other on a Christmas Eve years ago, that was pivotal for both of them. Oh and also, there’s a massive snowstorm that strands Birdie Mae in town for much longer than expected.
There’s undeniable charm, there’s lively banter, there’s crackling tension, there’s emotional healing, there’s Christmas décor-tinged spice (😏) – it’s honestly everything you want in a holiday romance read. I absolutely adored it and am already looking forward to revisiting it next year.🎅❤️
