Having been homeschooled, this is her first year at Ever After High. Her full name is Honeycrisp White. (2) Diamond and Ruby Charming, the adopted son and daughter of Apple White and Darling Charming. Their destinies are undetermined, either a damsel- in-distress or a stereotypical prince, this doesn't stop them from annoying the crowns off of each other. They're biologically related.

(3) Apple White, having fulfilled her destiny, she lives comfortably as the Queen of Ever After with her wife and three kids.

(4) Darling Charming, having fulfilled her destiny, she serves as the White Knight in Wonderland with her wife and three kids.

SO YOU WANT TO MOD DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS

I’ve seen several posts requesting general information & starter mods for DA:O, so I figured I’d make a post! Everything listed here is a standalone mod – meaning that all you have to do is drag and drop. No scripts, no console, no extra programs. I’ll get to those & some directions in part two.

How do I install mods? For people who are 100% new to this: you have to play on PC. It’s not possible to mod console versions of the game right now. Sorry!

To install these mods, put them in your override folder. By default, your override folder is located here:

My Documents > BioWare > Dragon Age > packages > core > override

Your Dragon Age folder should be created as soon as you install the game. Feel free to let me know if you can't find it and I'll do my best.

Now, on to the mods!

Replacements

Alternative Default Eye Texture by honeywhite Soft Makeup by yixura Subtler Default Skin Replacers by hoarous ( & the optional expression overlay) Softer Hair & Beard by kani-hime  True Colours REDUX by Dalishious Natural Lighting for the Character Creator by hoarous Theta HD by Rennn

Since these mods affect every single character in the game, I think they make a fairly significant difference!  Theta HD will replace some of the worst textures in the game without overloading on your PC.  If you can run DAO, you can run Theta HD because it only matches the bad textures to the regular ones.

The only thing I want to note is that if you install the optional eye tint file from Alternative Default Eye Texture, these eye tints will conflict with the eye tints from True Colours.  Default replacements are like Highlander, there can only be one. Fortunately, this is an easy conflict to fix:

if you install the optional file, delete the Eyes folder from True Colours. 

or don’t install the optional tint file from Alternative Default Eye Texture

Companions

I’m only going to put a couple of mods here because morphs are often personal preference.  

Unique Face Textures for Companions (DAO & DAA) by ellise Crow Assassin's Armor for Zevran by themiscyra Practical Morrigan Robe by magpiedragon The Zevran & Morrigan outfits are two of my favorites in the game, and they’re both simple since they replace the default gear. Ellise’s texture mods are always outstanding, and this one is no different -- I can’t recommend it more if you’re looking for a HD update to your companions that stays true to lore. For Shale, I recommend one of these -- only install one, but the choice comes down to personal preference and computer specs. Are you running a burnt out potato? Use the lightweight version. Shale Retextured HD by jolly2807  HighRez Shale Retexture (Lightweight) by Dalishious I use a different morph for Sten, but that one comes with a required mod. Next time!
