rospierce slay the princess au/route!!!!!! because GOD i love slay the princess

(slay the princess spoilers under the cut! i won't be talking about the overarching story (but there is a brief reference to the characters involved in it at the end), but i will be referencing and taking inspiration from certain routes in StP, including ones from the Pristine Cut DLC!)

You're on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path is a castle, and in the basement of that castle is an Architect. You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.

yep! as it is the easiest option, i am calling this au "Slay the Architect". i only have one route really... planned in my mind, but i think a lot of different angles could be done with this, just like the original game!

currently, the route i have is The Architect -> The Castle Keep -> The Heart of the Kingdom

Chapter 1: The Architect

the start of the "game", its pretty much like the start of slay the princess, except clownpierce is here. clown finds himself on a path in the woods. he's told by a voice in his head (that definitely isnt badboyhalo. guys do you ever think about evil circus (thats their duo name right?? pretty sure it is)) that he needs to slay the architect that lives in the castle.

i dont think clown would really buy into the whole "she'll end the world" thing, but he is an experienced assassin. he's not gonna question a client as long as he gets paid. bad promises that he'll get his reward after he slays the Architect, and he's satisfied after some negotiating on payment.

from there, it's pretty straightforward to how you would get The Spectre route in StP. clown rocks up to the castle, finds the basement, finds the Architect chained up. ros tries to threaten him to back off, and he doesnt even bother with a response as he just efficiently stabs her. clean, precise, no-nonsense. that's how he operates his business endeavors. he's a little thrown off by her not even struggling before dying, but he's seen every reaction to being murdered you could possibly imagine. false confidence isnt that weird, honestly.

and then, of course, he goes upstairs and tries to exit the castle, only to find the world is gone. he immediately starts threatening bad for betraying him, and is furious when bad says he never lied to clown; this is the "reward" he was promised, after all!

eventually, the voice of the hero speaks up, and tells clown he can get him out of this, as long as he just trusts him. clown agrees because what else is there to do, and hero takes over his body to stab himself, and moves on to the next chapter

(BY THE WAY. i have this entire thing in my head about the different trsmp members being the different voices? and im pretty dead-set on sneeg being the voice of the hero stand-in because YEAHHHH 3/3 LOSA!!!!!!!! also. i dont think he'd be called "the voice of the hero", since fairytale heroism is... not clown's default state of reasoning. genuinely sneeg would be most alike to the voice of the skeptic, as both sneeg and clown are very questioning people when Something Is Afoot. i dont know what sneeg's title would be? i'm considering "Voice of the Alchemist", as a reference to the twohickey and alchemy being a field of study both sneeg and clown share. also clown's "default voice" in such a confusing situation being a scientist who wants to cut through all the bullshit and find what's really going on is very in line for him.)

Chapter 2: The Castle Keep

so. according to google. the keep of the castle is defined as "the strongest and most fortified part of a medieval castle, serving as the last refuge in case of a siege or attack, and often housing the lord's residence"

EHEHEHEHEHEHEH

so, The Castle Keep is based off The Spectre and The Wild. after being killed in her own castle, the Architect's spirit has merged with the very walls she built. and she is threatened. this stranger, this archmage, had walked into her home and slayed her without remorse, or even a word towards her, and she will enact bloody retribution to defend the castle; to defend herself. this is an attack upon her walls, and she will see to it that the threat is eliminated.

clown and the voice of the alchemist are joined by The Voice of the Scapegoat (its pili 1!!! his whole thing is that killing the Architect was a necessary evil, and who cares that she's pissed about it. if she didnt die, then the entire world would. anyone wouldve done it, clown was just the unlucky sucker who had to. very much reflective of how pili 1 was the one who stepped up to kill for red, and was hated for it despite it being necessary so him and all his teammates wouldnt lose a life.)

the Castle Keep tries to kill clown as soon as he enters the castle again. immediately tries to drop a rock on him, or something, because the castle is her body and she can control it at will. he navigates the castle, dodging the very building he's in attempts to try to kill him. voice of the scapegoat is telling him to find the Architect immediately so he can kill her again, while voice of the alchemist tells him to actually talk to her this time and figure out what's going on.

clown talks to the Castle Keep while she's trying to kill him, and she finally starts relenting enough to entertain conversation. because she's hurt. she was killed for so suddenly and for seemingly no reason, and now her murderer has returned and is effectively running around inside her body. she doesnt know him. she doesnt know if he's going to hurt the castle like he hurt her. she wanted him gone before he could hurt anything else. and she wants to know why he would do such a thing for her. he tells her about the whole "ending the world" thing, which she tells him that she has no idea if she can or not. he tells her about the whole "well he paid me and im an assassin so of course i did my job" thing and weirdly enough, she laughs. she thinks its really funny in a morbid kinda way. so they bond about that.

the thing is though.... the Castle Keep was effectively tearing herself apart to kill clown. pillars falling to crush him, chunks of the wall falling out to also crush him, the floor cracking open to try and drop him into the abyss. with how much she's torn herself apart, she can't control herself from crumbling the rest of the way. right as theyre finally seeing eye to eye, rubble falls and crushes clown under it. the Castle Keep wails, screaming that she didn't mean to do that, that she's sorry, that she's trying so hard to move the foundation that once was hers, was her, but cannot anymore. clown slowly bleeds to death, but before he dies, he tells her that he is sorry, and it's only fair for her to kill him after he killed her.

Chapter 3: The Heart of the Kingdom

so welcome to chapter 3, the Heart of the Kingdom! this chapter is based off of The Wounded Wild, Happily Ever After, and the Thorn

the gang is joined by the Voice of the Penitent (aimsey, who expresses guilt over having hurt the Architect so callously without even considering how she felt about it, or considering that she was her own person and not just a hit to take out. aimseys role is reflective of how pre-death aimsey was very dismissive of ros' feelings and agency in the pursuit of doing what they believed to be the right thing to do for her)

clown approaches the castle again, and finds it a wreck. the damage the Castle Keep did to herself seems to have carried over, but there seems to be even more damage. banners ripped and torn down, deep gouges in the floors and walls like axe strikes, chunks mined out of the stairs.

clown eventually finds the Heart of the Kingdom not in the basement, but in the throne room. she's once more a human woman, not a spirit who lives in and lives as the very walls around them. she's sitting on the throne, but her demeanor is entirely unlike a queen. her face is puffy and red from crying, streaks of mascara running down her cheeks. she's hunched over, hugging herself, staring blankly at the floor with dead eyes. she's wearing a crown, a fancy dress, fit for a queen, but it seems so ill-fitting on her, like someone had dressed up a doll.

the Heart looks up at him, and doesn't say anything except for scooting over a little. clown sits down next to her, the throne big enough to fit them both. another thing that made her seem so small.

they sit in silence for a while, and then the Heart begins to speak.

she tells him that she built herself out of the violence he inflicted on her. he attacked her, and so she sought to attack in turn. he had come into her home, the very castle she built, and hurt its architect. but she doesnt want to seek revenge anymore. the damage she inflicted on her castle, herself, in pursuit of retribution was a million times worse than what he had done to her. her very self was as shattered as the building around them.

an eye for an eye, she says, echoing his final words. he killed her, so she killed him, even if accidentally. they could be even, she says, but wouldn't he have a reason to pay that back? couldnt he kill her again for killing him when they had finally gotten along? she would probably be angry enough to, if she wasnt so tired and hurt.

clown says he could, but he stands by what he said. they're even. to kill her now would to just spiral further into an endless loop of violence. it's unnecessary. he knows how to pick his battles. taking on a fight that brings you nothing, means nothing, is just a stupid way to potentially get yourself killed.

they lapse into silence. and then the Heart finally asks him who he is. he's still a stranger to her, despite all of what they've been through together. so they talk. he tells her about his studies as an archmage, a few fun facts about himself, but not much with depth. he's still a very private person, and she's right- they're strangers. strangers with a tumultuous short history, but strangers nonetheless. he'll make the steps to get to know her now, but he won't reveal everything right off the bat. he never would've.

the Heart can't tell him much about herself. she simply doesnt know who she is. she was an Architect, wasn't she? she built this castle. but she's the only person she's ever seen in it. while he was gone, in the moments before he returned to the castle, she had explored it. there are furnished rooms, personalized with color, but she doesn't know who she built them for. the castle is desolate. things that should be familiar to her aren't. it should be full of life, but theres no lights on. it's just her. and the castle is as empty as her memory. maybe it really is her.

eventually, clown asks her what she wants, and despite everything, she says she wants to go outside. the castle hurts, and maybe it would finally stop hurting if she left- even for just a little while. she's never seen the grounds, even though she's sure that she built that too. how strange that is.

they walk outside, and stare up at the sky in the garden. the Heart hopes this can be a fresh start for them. she says she finally feels at peace, but didn't expect it to feel so cold.

and thats when she gets taken by a bunch of hands

(idk who the shifting mound would be in this au. foolish, probably? i know bad is the narrator, but im imagining a kinda-sorta different scenario from StP where bad is the narrator and the long quiet because some fuckshit is happening with the overarching plot of Slay the Architect)

BUT YEAH. god its really fun to write rospierce with the perspective that they're complete strangers at the start of each route. they basically speedrun getting to know each other every time. usually with murder involved. also can i mention that it feels so weird to write clown inflicting violence upon ros. it feels so incorrect. but he DOESNT KNOW HER so why would he feel remorse about that. i imagine that with each route played, he starts developing this subconscious feeling that gets stronger and stronger that he Should Not Hurt Her. and mans definitely freaks out about why the hell does he feel this instinctual protectiveness and care for this woman he has never seen before in his life.

i also feel like its very interesting to explore the themes of the cycle of violence with them. tr!ros already has those themes, but its odd to see it depicted between rospierce. clown usually has absolutely no guilt for hurting people, so it's a curveball for him to actually feel sorry for hurting the Architect. and for the Architect, hurting and violence was all she knew when he killed her (basically speedran tr!ros' violent tendencies), so she doesnt know how to stop unless she's too hurt to keep going on. and then they get to talk about it together!!! yay!!!!!

(also... since the Heart of the Kingdom is based off the thorn... and im a filthy rospierce shipper... lowkey kinda want them to kiss. i dont think it would make narrative sense for who they are and what they just went through. but maybe the Heart gives clown a little kiss on his mask. for me.)

Basically like:

in the end part where tord goes "my hat! :3" he said "classic stupid tom"after,

and as soon as tord presses the red button to shoot himself into the robot, tom goes

"classic. stupid. COMMIE!!" as he jumps onto tord, lashing out at his eyes, but instead of tord getting sucked into his robot, it's tom

He goes on a rampage, with the robot, like tord did, but it was honestly just button mashing lmao

Edd comes home like in the end, but to find tom going on a rampage, and tord stumbling out of the house, almost tripping over all the rubble

"I thought we were.. I thought we were friends!"

"friends?... FRIENDS??!, DO FRIENDS PUT EACH OTHER IN LIFE THREATENING SITUATIONS, HUH EDD?!, or should I call you Edward now?, Edd is a buddy name. You aren't a buddy to me."

He blasts off with the robot, as tord did

"SO LONG, EX FRIENDS!, DESTROYING THE WORLD ISNT GONNA TAKE LONG, SO I WOULD RECOMMEND FINDING SHELTER OR SOMETHING, BUT WHAT DO I CARE, RIGHT?"

Tord points Edd and Matt to the pad with the buttons on it and they start clicking random buttons, until

*EXPLOSION*

The robot explodes, and tom falls onto the grass

Paul and Pat rush to the robot, hoping to find their friend, tord. But instead find tom, take him into the car to get him medical help, as they question him as to why he was in the robot, and where tord was

Edd drops to his knees, regretful of what he did

Matt was doubtful of tord, as he thought of the room earlier with the buttons in it, and how tord was so quick to tell them to go to the button pad to destroy the robot

Tord passed out from blood loss

Edd rushed to tord's side, picking him up, he ripped off some cloth from his hoodie to tie up tord's scars.

Matt picked up a card on the floor, it was addressed to an apartment!, he gave it to edd

Edd looked at the card and it's adress

"Hey!, I know where this is, maybe tom had this apartment set up when he stormed out.."

wait. Was he thinking of moving out because of how we acted...? Edd thought

"Edd..? Are you ok there?"

"... Yeah, I'm fine ^_^, we should make our way over there so we could set tord down on the couch or something and look up how to help him, he's not looking too good right now."

Ringo runs out to edd from behind the house, covered in dust

"RINGO!" Edd yelled, as a tear went down his cheek. he passed tord over to matt, and opened his arms for Ringo to jump into

He welcomed her into a warm embrace, of which, he didn't want to let go of her ever again,

When he finally let go of her, she jumped into the pocket of his hoodie and fell sound asleep

Matt gave tord back over to edd, he did not want to carry someone all the way to the apartment

They slowly make their way to the apartment complex, as Edd carries tord there, Ringo in edds pocket, napping, and Matt following closely behind

Kachina- -Design: 4/5 -Personality: 5/5 -Impact: 5/5 Kachina is probably the ONLY Natlan character I feel any strong positive emotion for. I love her. I think her story was really good. Shes super cute. I wish she wasnt blonde with blue eyes and had basically the same color palette as Yaoyao... but W/E. Shes adorable. Love her.

Mualani- -Design: 1/5 -Personality: 3/5 -Impact: 4/5 Mualani is fine. I mostly like her because her interactions with Kachina which are SUPER cute. I think her design sucks... I do like her slight muffin top?

Kinich- -Design: 4/5 -Personality: 2/5 -Impact: 0/5 I think Kinichs design is fine but what a nothing character... I literally dont remember anything he does. Its like if you mashed Kazuha and Xiao together then stripped them of anything that made Kazuha and Xiao interesting... I also hate his weird video game moves. It feels super out of place.

Also Ajaw is probably the worst thing to ever happen to a character in ANY video game. He has the personality of a young teenage boy playing an FPS this close to saying the N word at any given time. Id kill everyone in Natlan just to rid myself of his character specifically.

Xilonen- -Design: 5/5(0/5*) -Personality: 3/5 -Impact: 3/5 I really like Xilonen in some ways... but also I dont? Her design is SUPER hot.. I just wish it wasnt in GENSHIN of all things. Also when I saw her idle animation I IMMEDIATELY recognized Oumi Jantas rollerblading dance and was kind of annoyed knowing she probably didnt/wouldnt get any credit (she didnt) also they turned her into a white lady which is a CHOICE. Her personality is fine. This is one of my favorite characters in Natlan and this is how I talk about her LOL

Chasca- -Design: -5/5 -Personality: ?/5 -Impact: 0/5 Ugly ass design, Cant remember shit about her, her NPC sister who died had more impact on me and also looked better than she did. RIP Chuychu.

Mauvika- -Design: 3/5 -Personality: 3/5 -Impact: 3/5 MEH across the board... I guess I kinda like her on the same level as I like Ei... but Ei is more interesting and looks cooler. I also fuckin hate the motorcycle.

Citlali- -Design: 4/5 -Personality: -5/5 -Impact: -5/5 My LEAST favorite character in Genshin. Shes worse than Ajaw because HYV insists on shoving her down our throats every 5 fuckin seconds. I hate that we spent as much time with her as we did and then when she got released she had this weird pillow/plushie uwu shit attack design that came out of literally nowhere. I hate that we cant rebuff her when she shows interest in Aether. I hate her voice. Cant stand this bitch. Her design is fine tho.

Iansan- -Design: 4/5 -Personality: 4/5 -Impact: 3/5 I do like her. HYV shoving her toward the end of the story despite her being the literal poster child for Natlan in the Genshin trailer is so shitty. I also hate that shes NOT a child... shes just a small woman. I wanted to see her do the helicopter run. Dori has the same body type but isnt a child too! She gets to do the airplane run!!! (I know its because Dori is more childish but STILL.) I like her chubby cheeks too.

Ifa- -Design: 3/5 -Personality: 4/5 -Impact: 3/5 Hes fine. I really liked his story in this latest event. I wish he didnt speak the way he did... its VERY cringe BUT.... hes a good guy. Im not a fan of cowboy aesthetics so I dont appreciate his design more... but I do recognize that he looks more put together and reasonable for the cultural aesthetics of the region than a lot of the characters. I also thought his bird was gonna be annoying like Ajaw but NOPE. Like Cacucu too.

Most characters in Natlan kinda feels GIMMICKY and TRYHARD... I think thats their problem. I honestly like more NPCs (saurians included) in Natlan than I liked any of the playable cast. All of my negatively toward this nation is compounded by the fact I was looking forward to this place THE MOST out of all the nations. I really like Aztec/Mayan/Mexican aesthetics and I thought that was gonna be the main focus of the region... then a BTS was shown and we saw a South America book and so I thought itd be more that.... and that was cool too...

But what we got was a total mishmash of various indigenous groups around the world... and a mostly light skin cast where the 2 darker skinned characters were 4 stars at the end of the story so we didnt even get to spend quite as much time with them. And also a weirdly modern and comicbooky aesthetic which doesnt highlight the cool cultural aesthetic of said regions that much... (Compare to ESPECIALLY the Liyue and Inazuma cast (as kinda boring and same-y as the Inazuma cast can look))

And not a SINGLE black character... despite most(if not all) of the singing in Natlan is done Swahili (and OOH ITS FUCKIN GORGEOUS THE MUSIC OF NATLAN IS FUCKIN GOOD). Shout out to that main guy and his gorgeous vocals specifically. Please at least listen to this live performance. Its worth it. Its so gorgeous (actually all the music in Genshin is at least GOOD and its mostly phenomenal)-

so sevil part 2 event!!!!! hoo boy this one was actually really surprising (in a good way). like honestly

so im just kinda gonna list things

-the new friend (galanthalus i think?) gosh he gave me the biggest turnaround. like his story started out with ??? narrator who is uneasily calm in a heckscape with gratuitous ultraviolence and 99.9 percent of the time in this game that means that ??? is going to be the stereotypical "ow the edge unhinged uncaring murderous nonhuman something from another world" (ie the imposter girl from the ninetales events, morgan, etc. you know the cringe gratuitous violence scenerey chewing and not in a good way villans that this game keeps having to try and stop ppl from liking them more than the protagonists but it never works). but then the turnaround reveal that it was just a kid who was trapped in the sword for being not human and had been tortured and overlooked by everyone for centuries just bc he suited their needs? the biggest turnaround. and that the ??? who was talking to him/answering his questions wasnt a condescending big bad but keral who stayed to keep him company out of kindness????? and that both her and krel kinda let him be their child they never had and want to let him go back and live in the world?????? bro......

anyways tldr galan was a very pleasant surprise writing wise and i support him. also he lowkey reminds me of idunn and i dig that so much

-the arc of the main trio! ofc it was very depressing but im glad they didnt go for an ending where "everyone survives everything is fine uwu!" bc i feel like that sort of thing, tho it could happen bc of how op the main cast is, it would make all their suffering and pain feel trivialized and thrown out, and itd make me hate the main cast more (they already made themselves dislikable enough imo, with them guilting sevil to stay towards the middle just bc they didnt want him to leave, with no thoughts abt how hed feel. and that being said i love that the reason he stayed was to help galan, not bc he was guilt tripped into it). like it is really sad what happened, esp to krel at the very end, but it did feel conclusive which was nice (please no sequel. this was a good ending. we dont need a sequel to ruin it, i am looking directly at the knights and perfetto events. and maybe a sideye at the robomi ones for the unnecessary prophecy stuff)

-the side character development! like despite the angst, it all felt very organic (with sevil's story already having that old timey gin tama-ey feel it all seemed to make sense in the setting and not come across as cringe or insensitive angst). esp bc we didnt know a lot abt the characters in the first event, as they werent playable and didnt appear that much (they didnt even get journal entries either smh). so hearing more abt their backstories made them feel a lot more fleshed out. it was sweet seeing them stay to help w galan also, i do wish they were playable tho but it does make sense theyd be npcs

-have not seen gacha sevils story but im hoping its good! itd easily put him with caro and main gacha sturm of characters id really want (not to mention limited studra too ofc)

-and ofc. from kisumiverse side, i feel like kisumi is trying to resist the urge to punch danchou and co. in the face the whole time, while trying to be supportive of sev. who, to be utterly fair, is so wrapped up in his problems he doesnt necessarily notice kisu until towards the end. kisu doesnt want him to apologise as she sees that it isnt his fault, just asks him to take care of himself, and he realizes that he has a genuine alive friend in kisumi. its just a fun "friends dealing with grief and loss and the cycle of grief together" story.

-and then theres also the ending trope which is actually like tooth rottingly cute. "my sister and brother in law died and left behind a child that i am raising alongside my best friend" for some like slice-of-life hallmark movie angst-with-a-happy-ending. like literally. i feel like the sevil + galan + kisumi (w the father daughter too bc theyre cool) could be the casts in some heartwarming family movie or something

anyways this event, easy 9/10. maybe even 10/10. like i dont think g f could have a better event. zodicas was eh (playable ragazzo was easily the best part), knights was really meh, dont talk to me abt the perfetto one, i honestly dont mind no robomi bc the last one had elements i dont care for, everything else was just really bad except the really middle of the road collab and the slightly not so bad but also not impactful one w the grimmir squad. but yea this event is easily the best that theyve had in the last few years

just because i can im making my s4 succession bets. honestly these are broad strokes and i dont expect these to be fully accurate but whatever

- roy siblings team up from the finale stays. i think they’ll obviously be keeping the same dynamic and they wont always like each other and i can see roman or shiv almost betraying the others for logan but they’re gonna actually be on each other’s sides for once

- tomshiv separation/divorce. shiv knows tom betrayed her, and while i can see this plot being uncertain or slightly strung along, tom will end up in his bachelor pad at that dog friendly hotel with mondale early/mid season. it’s sad to see such a spectacular failmarriage end but i imagine the writers will do something to rival every other failmarriage moment and create the most ultimate failmarriage moment yet

- potential official marcia divorce. an actual one may or may not happen, especially if tomshiv divorce happens, but i wouldn’t be surprised if there’s an episode centering the roy siblings are trying to get marcia on their side because she’ll be getting power they want in the divorce

- conwilla wedding rivals L to the OG in terms of cringe comedy

5 Anti LO Asks

1. you know what i noticed while skimming through the lo book at b&n? they didnt take the white buffer out (which is good for webtoons, its so single panels are the focus on a phone screen instead of jumbled or cramped) but when put into print it just makes it so theres an overwhelming lot of white space, which makes the panels look even tinier and cramped in. how did the designer not re-format this stuff?

2. Gotta love how Apollo and Hades are basically the same person in LO, but because RS says they aren't fans don't see it. I'd love to have that level of mind control over people.

3. I’ll say it, the beginning of LO was good enough for what it was. Art styles changes but it had a lot of personality, and that’s good for a comic. The story took a good turn from Hades kidnapping Persphone to driving her safely (i wouldn’t say it’s the best thing to do since he knew she was friends with Artemis and should have found her) but it worked out good for both characters. Like it was suppose to be just a over the top first meeting.

But then it got complicated. In the original pilot Minthe gets dumped pretty early and Hera tries to set hades and P up after a fight with Zeus and I forget what’s after that, but if she stuck with that I feel like it would have taken a lot of bs out.

Instead the story is built like a tower held on by glitter glue and rubber bands. Minthe and hades have their own problems that get worse with Persphones presence. Other female characters who don’t like the idea of Hades and P randomly try to push it but we see nothing that gives us real comfort that hades is good for Persphone or vice verse (even tho hades is with Minthe) persphone even admits to being a child about Hades and her feelings, but we don’t see her grow we just see the situation in her favor. She wants hades, hades breaks up with Minthe. The audience assumes it’s gone be the smack that does it, but they don’t even really talk about that, they talk about Persphone more and hades even sucks in that break up. Now all RS had to do was find a way to really get rid of Minthe without sacificing Hades’ “good guy” character. Which in my opinion went horribly.

There’s also just so many other elements in the story that just feels like Persphone is a passive main character, she’s thrown into her situations more often than doing something or learning a lesson. P falls for an guy in a relationship, she cries about and gets with him anyway. She gets an internship through Hera. And I know people might wanna argue Demeter made her that way, but now with flash backs P is just whatever character traits RS wants her to have for that chapter. The most I’ve seen her done for herself was telling Leto off, but honestly that scene was a little cringe. Like I get what they were trying to do, but why make a little humor pulling on the veil, when Leto could have been an actual scary villain.

With this trial arc also, persphone looks like hades spoiled rich daughter, which isn’t helping with the age gap. Like the story had an interring start, thought it was gonna be a basic drama but now it’s a hot mess

4. In terms of "style changes", the issue with that is that in most cases, it's the artist(s) getting a better grip on what works for them and evolving, with the art often improving. LO has had the exact opposite trajectory, especially with its high turnover rate within the art team who more often than not fail at emulating rachel's more boring style, much less her early more interesting one. You guys can admit the art isnt up to par with what it once was without making every excuse under the sun.

so the themes in the show right ?? it starts just as this cute lil magical girl kinda deal but within the first episode we see that like.. oh damn... thats kinda heavy... tbh i was a little shocked and thought about stopping bc yknow bad mental health BUT i was so intrigued that i had to keep going and i am SO GLAD that i did. because this show just so beautifully discusses all these heavy topics in such an eloquent and artistically expressive way. and also like, , the juxtaposition of the charming childlike vibe with bright colors and 14 yr old girl protagonists against the dark themes of suicide and so much else,, i think is just perfect. bc a lot of heavy animes are more of the seinen genre and have some middle aged dude as a protag or make the entire color palette dim or offer little relief to the pain of these heavy themes right ?? but NO not wonder egg bitches B) because these problems arent just things that ppl face later in life or just problems that need to be talked about among adults or the edgy seinen watching squad,, these are REAL problems that face people of every age, gender etc and i think its awesome that wonder egg addresses that. some may cringe at the thought of their high schooler watching animes that discuss sexual harassment, suicide, abuse, self harm, eating disorders etc,, but in reality it is the most comforting thing i have ever come across and is basically jsut free anime therapy. because not only does wonder egg present these themes to the viewers as something real that happens to all kinds of people (making said people feel heard in a way that maybe they hadnt before), but it also makes sure to vanquish all of these forms of trauma. and the way the trauma is vanquished isnt always beautiful and it isnt always just magically gone with a poof. the struggles of overcoming or living with that sort of thing are shown in such a real and relatable way that addresses every hardship trauma survivors have to go through. and i just. god i cry bro. 

oh m y GOD and the lgbtq+ rep in this show ?? like shawty... as soon as i saw episode one i was picking up on some gay/lesbian themes but then again im sapphic and project that a lot so i tend to see that sort of stuff like... everywhere... but NE WAYS... episode ten made me FUKCING CRY BRO LIke i cant believe there was a whole trans character with a whole trans pride hoodie like LKGHKDGH my heart is just so.. so fucking full thinking about him. bc like yeah i know there are trans characters in anime but i feel like theyre always very ambiguous about actually being trans or not or erased or portrayed as a harmful stereotype or theyre constantly misgendered and still refered to as their assigned gender at birth and i hate it. HOWEVEr... Kaoru.. *chefs kiss* it was so amazing to see a character straight up say “yeah im trans” in such a casual yet powerful way bc i personally have never seen that before. and i love love loved how he went into his backstory and talked to momoe about gender bc i think thats what she rlly needed and that it helped her find herself and it makes me so happy oh my god,, and the way they talked about it never seemed forced or like it was the focal point of his existence yknow ?? like yeah he existed to help momoe overcome some of her trauma but he also just existed to be HIM yknow ?? also... personally, i headcanon momoe as a trans girl even though i dont remember it being explicitly stated plus the school scenes of her and stuff would seem like they suggest otherwise ??but,,, SHAWTY THE AMOUNT OF SUBTEXT and her complicated relationship w gender is... something i feel like a cis girl would not go through so harshly yknow ?? with all of the questioning and feeling detached from femininity or feeling like ppl dont see her as an actual girl and only like her as a guy or for her masculine traits,,, but dont take my word on this bc i myself am a cis girl but that was just my take on it as someone in the lgbtq+ community trying to educate myself on the transgender community :) either way,, wonder eggs portrayal of momoe and kaoru and the way that momoe becomes so passionate about expressing herself the way she wants to as a girl is just... good lord im gonna cry its so perfect,,,.so ... i just love this show way too much. i also am honestly super lost about the relationship btwn acca and ura-acca ?? bc i was gonna mention ura-acca as a canonically gay guy bc when i was watching i interpreted ep 11 as him being in love with acca and being jealous of Azusa (bc i mean,, they lived together (i swear to god there was only one bed in that apartment) and had a daughter together and def loved each other and also when Frill said they were husbands and then when ura-acca said he wasnt attracted to azusa but he was def jealous of their relationship ??) but then i saw somewhere that theyre brothers ?? which would make sense ig since they look kinda similar and accas daughter called ura-acca “uncle”.. but at the same time its ANIME SO THEY ALL LOOK SIMILAR and referring to gay couples as siblings is an EXTREMELY common euphemism soooo... IM JUST LOST HERE... but yeah i tried doing research and found different things so i cant say anything for sure >:( however,,, if they are canonically a lil fruity for each other... when frill refered to acca as ura-accas husband i imploded dude you never hear that sort of wording in anime.. but if theyre related i am so sorry. 

god this is so much longer than i planned it to be oops but i also love the theme about like.. relying on friends to help carry your weight but at the same time not becoming completely dependent on those friends and using their support to learn how to love yourself and rely on yourself yknow ?? bc that is exactly what healthy friendships look like. bc i think ai sort of had a codependency thing goin on with koito maybe ?? but now she has a whole squad of funky friends that are so so different but all struggle with different kinds of trauma and although they fight over it, they always get through it with each other together. and they push each other no matter what to be the best versions of themselves and they teach other that getting hurt is okay because theyre always gonna be there to pick up the pieces no matter what happens. they can give each other space when they need and adapt to meet each others needs but theyre always able to balance it out with their own needs and thats such a beautiful thing in friendships especially at their age like damn i wish i had that maturity when i was 14 but no all i had was depression. another thing is that through these friendships you get to see all the different sides of each girl; you get to see them being strong or a shining light to their friends when theyre hurting but you also get to see them being hurt and weak and allowing themselves to be on the receiving end of the comfort. their friendships allows them to have weaknesses but it also allows them to highlight their strengths and thrive off of each others. I LOVE FRIENDSHIP DUDE

next i wanna briefly mention some of the themes connected to suicide that ive noticed. a big one is the survivors guilt that ai feels once koito is dead. several times she screams that she wishes she couldve gone with koito and she dreams of a “perfect world” where they committed a double suicide. one of the main reasons for her troubles is that she blames herself for koitos death and feels like it should be her thats dead... but at the same time she feels like too much of a coward to do anything now that koito is gone. she just has all these complex and contradicting feelings that wear away at her in ways that ppl that havent gone through the suicide of a loved one could never imagine. a lot of the times when things like this are portrayed in media i feel like its more in a way thats meant to guilt trip those that have taken their own lives and paint suicide as this selfish sin thats unforgivable but... not only does wonder egg reject that idea and instead portray it as a heartbreaking tragedy with,,, so so many terrible reasons, but it focuses on the feelings of ai separate from koito without blaming her in any way. not once did i feel like the show antagonized koito or that ai blamed koito for doing any of this, but they simply mourned her loss and touched on ais reaction towards the event but separate from koito herself if that makes sense. and i think that discussing survivors guilt without painting koito as the bad guy is something so beautifully done in wonder egg that can really resonate with those that have lost a loved one to suicide and have struggled with these same things.

okay i think this is the last thing ill mention,,, but HOMIE THE PARALLEL UNIVERSE BIT AT THE END. I AM. OBSESSED. i am such a whore for anything about the multiverse okay n e ways...,, not only did this make a super epic trippy ending of season one and add a little bit more magical girl whimsy to the show,, but it had such a powerful message. from the perspective of og ai,, finding out that you killed yourself in another world is... i mean its definitely not a surprise but at the same time it rlly makes you think how close og ai herself couldve been to that point and what decisions led her out of that dark place in her life. if i were in her shoes i would be terrified and id cry bc the thought of going back to such a dark place and actually going through with something like that is my worst fear and probably something that ai fears too. but at the same time,,, think from the perspective of ai two !!! like yeah its true that theres this awful terrible version of ai that dies but theres also a whole version of ai that is a superhero magical girl fighting off monsters to save countless ppls lives !! and she has a badass lizard and a gang of awesome friends !!! at first i was worried that ai two would be jealous of og ai and compare herself to her and feel inferior but like.. THEYRE LITERALLY THE SAME PERSON AND CAPABLE OF THE SAME THINGS !!! and ai two realized that !! just within the span of one episode, she went from the version of ai who took her life,, to the version of ai jumping in front of a friend to take a bullet for them and save their life. and that just inspired THE SHIT OUT OF ME. i think that ai was sent another version of herself to sort of beat her own worst enemy yknow ?? those doubts and fears that shes no good or that shes that same bystander from episode one and that she hasnt changed at all. but getting to interact with her parallel self and see her grow was just what she needed to realize that while yeah sometimes the worst thing can happen and things can be terrible but on the other hand sometimes the most wonderful thing imaginable can happen because she has the power to do either. 

so im gonna go ahead and stop rambling bc i got all my thoughts out that i wanted to for this post :D but yeah lol i might make another if i feel like it sometime. long story short: this show is perfect and it is going on my favorite of all times.

mmmsjyxd i do not like chiaki at all... she is honestly the only character i hate in danganronpa ngl, and i dont understand the hype, i tired to see what people saw in her but i just cant get into nanami-love-train. in the game she is quite boring and like people really love to say that maki's "do you wanna die?" or nekomaru shit jokes are annoying and repetitive but are we gonna talk about how many times chiaki finished her sentence with "...i think.."??? also yea she is useful in class trials but not in a fun way? like a lot of characters accuse or say incorrect stuff during discussions but that just makes it more organic, or maybe there are characters who help you understand during the class trial, teasing to the correct answer but never out right saying It until the player gets it. and that's great! but chiaki dose none of that, from what i have seen. she looks like one of those tips that you click on and help you on those iq apps (idk if that made sense) a lot of people say "well she is an ai! she dosent have to have personality!!" ...monomi Is an ai too? and has a personality? junko in sdr2 is an ai too and hAS A PERSONALITY!! WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE ON. DID WE PLAY ALL HE SAME GAME?? the fact that chiaki dosent have a personality its because even when she was alive she didnt have one, in the anime she is just more sAsSy (she is not at all but ok) also it dosent make sense how everyone missed her and idolized her in the anime??? she legit did nothing. she dosent even have a backstory wich is just??? what??? like no hard feelings people who like chiaki but why. there are a few more things i would say but i dont really have the energy RN.

like excluding the fact that i am a firm beliver that hajime dosent have even an ounce of attraction to women, its just. so random, their in game relationship dosent make sense not only because well uh duh, she is an ai, but also bc they kind of... didnt care for eachother until chapter four/five-ish?? like yea they tolerated eachother but there isnt a real development to their relationship, just at a certian point, randomly, they are love interests?? for why and for what. the anime really shoved them down my and everyones troath and It was SO ANNOYING. it taked so much screentime away for actual good plot points, also when izuru cried for her i laughed and cringed at the same time.

but being a little more serious i dont think their relationship would last long, i dont think they could ever understand eachother, the romantic interactions they had did not feel genuine, and like being more superficial now but WHERE IS THE FLAVOR, WHAT IS THE DYNAMIC. Truth Part 2

Beatrix chuckled as she made her way to Giovana. The fun loving prankster demon had bitten off more than she could chew and accidentally pranked herself. Instead of using a truth serum on the brothers Gio somehow took it instead. Now Trix was part of the crew to keep people away. This was a serious manor, not only did she get a text from Gio asking for help but Barbatos sent them a slightly threatening message.. but hey at least Beatrix was trusted enough by Barb. She found Gio at the castle, naturally as Barbatos had already started to damage control. After getting passed a worried and pushy Diavolo Trix finally was with their other best friend.

"Gio I don't know why this is such a big deal but whatever Barb said to Dia didn't help because that man is acting like you're dying.. This isn't a kill you after its done truth serum is it?" Worry struck the human for a second, nah that wouldn't be right. It's just Diavolo over reacting, but why? He was strange but Trix didn't question it too much, now wasn't the time. "Now I'm here to help with 'making sure nothing gets out' in the cryptic words of our lovely Barb. This has to be something big if they are acting like that. Why is this such a big secret? Like I'm probably here to figure out a way to reverse it which I mean I can and will but I'm gonna need company while I figure out where you got it from and what kind it is and who you got it from, ya know? So I can take this opportunity to ask some things."

"So we all know about your little tea time with Asmodeus, where you talk about our resident couples, but we haven't talked about you. So Gio, who are you crushin' on? There has to be someone you like, its only natural. Please don't say its Diavolo, I will only accept that he is a sugar daddy and you stole that job from Asmo, because he deserves a good sugar daddy who will treat him right." Trix laughed, remembering conversations about sugar daddies once. "Also speaking of tea you should spill some of it and since we are in the castle, got any dirt on Diavolo and Barb? I bet you know some things from living here with them."

Giovanna sat on her bed, anxiously bouncing her leg as she waited for Trix to arrive to help. She was frustrated that she had been so stupid as to follow a truth serum recipe she found without reading the fine print- and now it had backfired onto her. She knew it was bad, but the way Barb and Diavolo reacted only made her feel worse. She just wanted to get the spell out of her system so they would stop pacing outside her room. Gio hated seeing her brother worry so much- but she knew it was reasonable worry this time seeing as if the wrong person asked the wrong questions it could be Very bad for them.

She heard commotion outside her room and stood up, hoping it was the arrival of Trix to save the day. And lucky for her, it was. Sighing in relief, she couldn’t help but chuckle at her friends concern “What? No, I’m not going to die. Don’t be silly, they just worry a lot. Although this IS kind of important. I can’t imagine what would happen if someone asked me the wrong question.” She laughed a little, trying to ease her friends worry. Grabbing Trix’s hand and dragging her to the desk, she cringed at one of the questions. “Well I mean. It IS big. It’s just a big deal because if someone asks the wrong question and I tell them the answer to the question it would be kind of bad if it got out and I’m really fighting the urge to blurt it out because the stupid serum wants me to answer things fully so I’m going to need you to ask another question other than why this is important or anything” Giovanna bit one of her knuckles, forcing herself to be quiet before she spilled too much. Although the second Trix asked her next question she almost wished she COULD just keep talking about the other thing.

“Okay, first of all? Dia? Disgusting, never accuse me of having a crush on him again that’s-“ She quickly grabbed a pillow to mumble something into- saying the truth even if Trix couldn’t hear it. “Moving on though, I’m honestly a little surprised you can’t tell who I have a crush on dear. I feel so obvious it’s a little embarrassing- I feel like one of those silly lovebirds we’ve helped set up. I’m head over heals for Asmo, of course. Now naturally I would never persue him while you two have whatever you have going on. Bestie code. Of course. And I don’t like him in a sim a sugar daddy way! I mean, I genuinely and truly am embarrassingly swooning over him. Isnt that beautiful! I was never planning on telling you that though darling I know you two have a strange little benefits situation like I said. Pretend I didn’t say anything.”

“As for Didi and Barb, of course I have tea on them. We’re all fairly close after all. Like have I told you about Dia’s crush on Luci? Like I know we’ve all joked about it but he’s like a little puppy sometimes. It began as a joke but dear I think he isn’t joking about wanting to worm is way into Luci and Logan’s love life. I’m almost a little embarrassed. That’s actually another reason I don’t want to interrupt you and asmo- Anyways. As far as Barb goes he’s still fairly private, even with me and Di. But I can tell you that he sometimes slips spells into tea. I feel like that isn’t a surprise, but he tries to keep it on the down low. Like he’ll give Luci teas with spells to boost his mood, or help him sleep. Di’s teas sometimes calm his energy, I think I get those ones too. I also get tea that helps with nightmares. I know when Lily was still adjusting he would specially make her iced teas that calmed her nerves. He works very hard on them all.”

Im going to write masayou soulmate aus and no one can stop me but at the same time im not the best writer so maybe ill just toss my ideas out here for now. Void write this down because im gonna have to come back to these.

This is a long post im sorry

First au will be the colorblind one where you see color once you make eye contact with your soulmate for the first time. However, platonic soulmates exist thus causing more confusion. One thing that helps is that the effect romantic soulmates have is much stronger while platonic soulmates tend to just help with vibrancy or seeing some colors. (Im just winging it here because honestly masahinashiyou are def soulmates).

Anyways, this is how its gonna go: youji and masaomi meet in the usual i saved your life way we're stuck together except both can see colors pretty darn well now. For youji it was kinda a brief explosion of color followed by dimming except for the colors red, gold, and purple. Its similar for masaomi except the vibrancy is slower to come for him but it starts with blues and metallics. Masaomi naturally has to keep this under wraps because he needs to know who exactly this guy is and what type of person he is and he also doesnt believe himself to be a romantic of any sort. Is he capable of being romantic yes of course but will he ever do anything like that now? Not unless the person had earned his respect and seemed worthy.

Oh no this could be a multi chaptered thing

Anyways this sort of goes along with his slow burn sort of thing whereas youji is kind of just that type of person to help out masaomi without needing proof to accept that masaomi is an important person in his life (the cult really watered down the whole soulmate thing because theyre homophobes so its just "important person in your life" for them). The colors also represent his "oh no hes attractive" side of youji who secretly has it pretty damn bad for masaomi.

They both stick with each other because they both recognize that theyre going to be important to each other (though currently only masaomi has an inkling as to how important they are/will be to each other since his vision is not terrible and that brief explosion of colors was no mistake, he simply isnt/wasnt ready to trust youji fully and also the universe was giving him a challenge and a choice which he will not back down from thank you very much) and youji wont realize what the colors and vibrancy mean until he meets hinami and shiori who are more than welcome to discuss those with him.

What happens when shiori and hinami meet them? For shiori and hinami, the world becomes more focused when theyre by each other and small details and colors pop out more. This is especially true for hinamis side since shiori brings clearer perspectives and other points of views to the table. For shioris side hinami brings out the brighter lighter and softer colors of the world that one might miss. Masaomi brings out the bolder colors and youji stabilizes the "image" and brings both color types into balance. For youji hinami brings all the colors into focus and its breath taking but also for the most part the colors were already there. However light seems to hit everything he sees now and wow you mean light causes different shades of things? Shiori doesnt seem to change much but he does notice that certain colors look more saturated or that he can see certain textures now and differentiate between certain shades. Especially in the blues, purples, and greens, hinami works mostly with the warmer colors. For masaomi he hinami doesnt change much for him although he does realize how he remembers the details of people and earthy tones more easily after meeting her. Shiori balances out the saturation and brings forth the colors that refused to come out before or simply just needed a push to come forward. Of course shiori also comes with pushes towards youji.

Oh goodness this is so long. All this detail is unnecessary but its here. It ends with them all agreeing to OT4 after hinami and shiori wrestle feeling talk and misunderstandings out of masaomi and youji. Youji totally thinks masaomi is an unrequited/not reciprocated love after all and/or JUST FRIENDS. But really masaomi is like "of course im going to be with youji forever thats been decided since i was 18. And shiori will be there too but she was a more recent addition to my life. I guess hinami can come too" but hes just been quietly planning this and thought that everyone else was on his level and knew already. And it ends happily ever after (except eventually shiori and hinami die and masaomi and youji drift apart but then they come back and kasamatsu comes across pictures of all of them and asks about what happened and does some snooping and finds out his dad and masaomi were soulmates and has to work with kise to get them together again but kise mostly just wants to do it so he can get more alone time with senpai but then akashi interrupts and furihata is a romantic and is all for it and also cites the manga a lot for help and youji is embarassed because his son is insisting and pulls out the "this is what mom would want" card and they talk about hinami and shioris deaths and what that means for them and their feelings and masaomi FINALLY admits to how he didnt like living without youji and youji admits that he wished masaomi was around for more of his familys life even tho masaomi cringes because babies and kids but does admit that had masaomi been around they would probably be much greater than they are now NOT THAT THEYRE BAD OR ANYTHING JUST LIKE OK HE'LL SHUT UP NOW but that youji could somehow make kids look appealing. In a sense. AND THEN it finally ends happily ever after omg.

its honestly fascinating to watch the timeline of anasuis growth in regards to his feelings for jolyne, because you of course do kind of start him out as a fuckboy. he fully believes jolyne is practically already his. but over time he lightens up on it. i personally think anasuis ideas about love are pretty fucked up and confused for a number of reasons (ill talk about it a little in my headcanon bit) so hes gonna be Weird and yeah kinda creepy about it but he changes. and by the end of stone ocean all he asks is that jotaro give him his blessing only to even ask for jolynes hand in marriage. he admits how terrified he is of the situation and knows theres a 99.9% chance hes going to die, and the only thing thats going to give him the strength to keep trying is the faint possibility of one day being with the woman he loves.

he does everything he can to fight for jolynes dreams and to keep the whole team safe. not once does his desire for her ever come first. was he sometimes creepy and weird about his love for her? absolutely. but theres no way in hell could you ever convince me that he didnt genuinely care for any of them. if you ask me, he cared more than anyone. he did absolutely everything he could to protect the whole team and often put himself directly in the path of danger just to help. he really even didnt have any real problems to solve or destiny to meet or questions to answer.

as much as i absolutely love and respect anasuis affection for jolyne i do Not believe they should be together. firstly i just dont really ship them in general but i also think that them ending up together would defeat anasuis whole character arc of coming to accept that she might never like him back and how that was okay???? and jolyne never gave any hint that she liked him like that in the first place, it was pretty clearly a platonic love for him. i dont think itd be true to jolynes character to like anasui. plus jolynes a lesbian but thats besides the point

im only okay with irene and annakiss ending up together because its not actually them and they didnt go through the same events jolyne and anasui did. and maybe in this alternate universe jolynes bi or something i dont know

random headcanon

aside from being so obviously trans its practically canon, my second greatest headcanon is that anasui is autistic. i could go on about this for fucking Ages because im autistic and, again, see a lot of myself in him. so im gonna try and keep it brief

anasui has a very strict idea of how the world is Supposed to work, and gets confused and even upset when it doesnt. and this, of course, reflects heavily in how he thinks about love and feelings in general. thats how we get him having this extremely black and white thought process of “i did x, so y will happen”. for example “i gave jolyne a ring, so shes going to like me more” and “i just helped save her life, so shes going to thank me”, and, in anasuis broadest net “im giving my life for her, shes going to love me”. even “THIS SHIT AINT DISNEY IF THERES NO MICKEY” could possibly be ascribed to this. his brain just has difficulty accounting for grey areas and the complexity of man as a social creature. he fully expects the world to work how he thinks it should and thats why he so often comes off as creepy or selfish or weird. he just simply does not understand that how he acts or thinks is wrong.

he also grew up more or less a social outcast. he didnt bond with other people and spent much of his time taking things apart to see how they worked. and, unfortunately, people ended up being afraid of that, like many people are when an autistic person has a habit or trait others might find weird or possibly dangerous.

i think the most telling thing in support of anasui being autistic is his stand, diver down. diver down, along with attack storage, is specifically about destroying, rebuilding, and restructuring things. many autistic people, such as myself, have a deep interest in how things work. and as ive said before, anasui has trouble with reconciling how he thinks things should work and how they actually do. and this is reflected in his stands ability to shape the latter into the former, as well as the simple pursuit to fulfill his Special Interest in taking things apart to see how they function.

like this man was seriously so autistic it even manifests in his stand. much like how youll also see people with autistic jotaro headcanons talking about how star platinum having a vocal stim. its incredible.

anasui is a fucking good boy he is genuinely a good person and a good man and no where near as much of a creep as people make him out to be. he deserves to be respected as a complex and loving man and not only as some fuckboy joke character. i am literally going to break something. it also just makes me angry since so much of the shit hes made fun of for could be explained and validated by the simple idea that hes Autistic. i know nobody really ever thinks about it but it still kinda hurts my feelings. anasui doesnt deserve the shit he gets.

The Lunar Battle

Okay! I’m skipping the other episode to go straight into what I thought about Moonvasion. Oh my gosh....there is SO MUCH to talk about! First of all, am I the only one who thought that the part with the newscaster was pretty funny? Poor Carl was right! LOL Also.. Scottish Music!

Also Webby: NERP! pfffttttt.

I love Scrooge’s speech to the help they gathered. I love that they gathered everyone good from the past episodes to become the army of sorts! So many characters! But it felt like they all got equal screen time especially during the fight scene! Seeing Lena fight was so awesome too! I loved seeing her magic and it was so cool to see her and Violet fighting for them! XD Also with Gizmoduck and the pies and harpies..classic! I enjoyed it and the animation was so fluid and smooth. Quackfasters attack was by far the most amusing and the animation on it was just awesome! They also showed blood when Beakley got hurt! Not a lot of animated kids shows really do that. I legit went “BEAKLEY!” when it happened and was like OMG no let them be okay! Dewey Ex machina!!! XD and yes Dewey Webby will be there to save you, always LOL I love that Dewey believes he can save the world. I knew Dewey would want to become one! “Who am I?”

I was kind of let down by Lunaris plan. It seems so.....80s XD Have the earth revolve around the moon? Pfffttt. Serious yet not. Lunaris to me at that point seemed a bit of a two bit villain. Granted, he had done really well until that point and yes I shouldn’t have expected something more logical. It does make sense to his character. He hates the earth and probably has some kind of complex to where he hates that the moon revolves around the earth. So it is a logical scheme. But in the previous episodes he had focused more on Scrooge McDuck and his family. Then the moonlanders gave up on searching for them when Della and the kids landed on the island. Its like, Oh okay this was not what I was expecting. I mean it wasn’t horrible. 

Honestly I loved the scene with Donald and Della meeting on the island with the watermelon mickey head XDDDD That was my moms favorite part! “Has the melon been a thing the time I’ve been gone or....”

“No that’s new.” Della and Donald meeting for the first time was almost everything I thought it would be. Personally I thought they would meet in a rather dangerous situation. Possibly with a swirling portal behind them? (too much Gravity Falls there! XDD) Then tearfully hug each other before yelling at each other with the “Where have you been?!” This was way more amusing though with the mickey head. I hope they sell those plushies now.. Watermelon mickey heads.. I’d buy one! Also watching Scrooge fail to come up with a plan was pretty sad to see. Beakley’s line was hilarious.

“Not reassuring he went down instead of up.” Probably my favorite line of the episode. Seeing Glomgold become a good guy trying to help them is weird and yet very amusing. The fact that Scrooge goes with it shows how desperate he is. Oh man, I mean the logic is there.. Lunaris won’t be expecting a really dumb scheme and somehow they are hoping it works. Although Scrooge doesn’t hold out much hope. 

“I’m gonna miss being a planet.”

With Della also realizing that this was the moon all over again, the next scene is Louie and Della, trying to reconnect again. It’s really interesting to see Louie trying to comfort Della. Despite how scared Louie is, he reminds her that bad things happen and you can’t always plan for it. And I really connected to both of them in that aspect. It’s a important lesson to note. One I didn’t learn until much later in life. Things don’t always go as planned. Your world falls apart...Sometimes you just have to roll with it and even though there are bad things that happen.. good surprises, good things happen to. Learning that Donald sang the Moon theme to the kids every night was so amazing! I had hoped that was canon! It was! Although...Donald singing it.. it kind of makes me cringe to imagine it. Still awesome though! XDD That part alone was what made this part of the story okay with me. They needed that moment. This arc was about Louie and this gave closure to the Della and Louie part for me. Yes, they didn’t go into more detail and it felt like the entire problems these two had with each other seemed rushed. But, this was the ending of that.....that I expected. This is how I wanted that arc to end in a sense. So I was okay with it. Louie will still scheme and Della won’t always be okay with it. But now that she knows this is who Louie is, she can try to steer him in the right path away from hopefully the real danger. “Oh man am I the Uncle Donald?” Dewey sad to say... yes...yes you are in that pose configuration XD Thanks Frank for that nod to the fans! The animation in the scene where Scrooge has to be forced to wear the santa costume was so cool. As Scrooge angrily grabbed the costume. I loved it! “None of this makes any sense!” I’m with ya there Lunaris...lol Watching the ship be destroyed by all this randomness was amusing. 

I think the space battle was so cool and loved the animation and Penny coming in at the last minute to save everyone really made me jump a bit in joy. I was so worried that she died in that moment. But to see her slam into the ship I was like YES SHE’S OKAY. Also Karma...Lunaris you jerk your a moon, deal with it XD Okay, now onto what I REALLY wanna talk about. Holy F.O.W.L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG! I was not expecting that. I should have.. but wtf?! Seeing all these returning and new villains made my mouth drop open and go. Season 3...what will you do to me? Now.. logic dictates that Season 3 is Huey’s season. But to me.. Fowl seems more like Webby’s enemy more than Huey’s. We still know little to nothing about Webby’s past and no one has hinted about it much. But Webby confronted Black Heron and Scrooge is close to the Vulture brothers. Oddly enough too.. on that picture something really bothers me. Webby is hugging Scrooge and the boys and Della and Donald and a few others are looking down at Scrooge and Webby. Now Darkwing isnt, and a few others aren’t as well. Maybe I’m looking too much into the picture but that’s just odd that it seems more focused on those two vs Huey if it is Huey’s season. I know for sure Heron would want her revenge on Webby. But I can’t help but feel Fowl is more closely tied to Webby and Beakley than any of the others. Huey could definitely unravel the mystery of FOWL no questions on that. It could become something he obsesses over a bit. But I think Webby would team up with him and be the fists if needed to fight the baddies. Who knows, maybe we will learn more about Webby’s past. They sadly haven’t revealed a season 4 announcement which does worry me that we won’t get a “Webby Season” in a sense and that they may try to cram it in at the end of season three? I’m not sure and it does worry me. I’d like these questions answered before the series is cancelled for good :( I HAVE HOPE THOUGH! HOPE will keep it alive! I also have like 3 new fanfic ideas in my head that won’t go away.

BUT AHHHHH!! That last scene made me shake my computer and go “THAT’S IT?!” I sort am dreading and excited for season 3!!! Now we have enemies in FOWL and I can see this being a very challenging season for our favorite Duck family!!
