I'm not sure if anyone's ever thought about this or has made a post about it, but I figured I'd add my own two cents if someone did talk about this.

mostly about Freddy

So, seeing that headless Freddy has prototype written on the bottom of his foot, it's suggested or even theorized that our Freddy (the one we're with in SB) was a prototype this entire time.

Of course, like many others, I was very skeptical and in denial about the idea because why the hell would that be a thing? How is he a prototype? It wasn't there on his foot in the base game, so why this sudden change?

I kinda hated it, and as a way to cope, I theorized that maybe it wasn't the same Freddy and FazEnt just replaced him with another copy and then abandoned him... don't ask me how that particular Freddy became headless either. Also I was wobbling between the "True Ending" being the Canon one, I was back and forth and just trying to figure out what would've made sense.

My logic for the True Ending being canon was, maybe Freddy and Gregory both got out (alongside Vanessa) with glamdaddy intact, and they're just living life. Meanwhile, Faz Ent just made a new Freddy while fixing the plex but gave up and left everything to rot. Of course I know now that makes no sense or explains why/how the 2nd Freddy lost his head, but it's what I came up with. The PQ Ending is technically canon... so that was a waste of a braincell, hah...

Since fnaf has the tendency to rewrite/add things to the story, I think our Glamrock Freddy being a prototype is something I've accepted. Now, there are a few things I thought of that might add to the idea of him being a prototype (not confirmed but more speculative).

He's a high-tech, sentient AI robot, he can clearly experience human emotion (like the other glamrocks) and has decent mobility. What most likely seperates him from the other glams is the fact that he experiences existentialism. I know we don't see much from the other glams, what they think of their current situation (not even from Roxy in Ruin), they aren't fully aware of what they are or what they're doing (as far as we know). Their programming is focused on being entertainers and birthdays.

I'm not gonna say that the other glams aren't able to express deeper thoughts, but I think this is where I might be stretching this idea just a bit.

If you're going to make AI bots who can adapt and be flexible with their environment, there's gotta be some kind of limit of what they can say/think/do. Freddy is the prime example of not having that limitation since we see/hear him express concern about not being the only Glamrock Freddy that's walking around:

"Have I always been a Freddy? Am I Monty with a different shell? What if I am not the first Glamrock Freddy? ... Do we all feel the same? Am I special? If I am mass-produced, am I still art?" (Endo Warehouse)

This motherfucker literally commits arson:

"You sure collected a lot of toys! Perhaps we can do something to stop whatever is going on here." (Fire escape Ending)

When he goes to the basement and encounters the blob, he goes on this monologue:

"I know what this is. I have been here before. She brought me here. I found myself for the first time when I cleared the path. I did not want to, but I had no choice. Now I have a choice. I have changed. My friends are here. They are so angry, confused. But I can protect you. I am not me." (True Ending)

He ultimately goes against some of his programming to help a child in need-- even lie to a security guard-- which if he were set to do as he's told, he would've sent Gregory straight to Vanessa, even with Gregory adamantly telling him not to.

If he were programmed to be strict and not break any protocols, he'd would've gotten Gregory killed immediately.

I'm saying this because if we're being realistic (realistic in terms of how we usually program robots and things), there are barriers in what a robot/ai can really say/do that doesn't break its programming. If he's a prototype, Freddy wouldn't have those barriers to stop him from saying/doing most of the things he did in SB. I know there's another factor to him behaving kindly to Gregory and that's him being in safe mode, but even still... you would think he would follow the rules and not let Gregory do certain things and perhaps unintentionally get the boy killed.

I'm going back to the existential crisis Freddy has, because for something that's meant to be an animatronic mascot for kids, you wouldn't want him to make the children around him question the meaning of being alive and sentient. There would have to be some sort of guard against having those kind of thoughts and ideas. It makes Freddy more interesting, especially if he could've been easily replaced with a finalized version of him that did what he was suppose to.

Also, I know it's probably more widely accepted that either Vanny or Gregory hacked into Freddy, causing his collapse during the opening. With him being a prototype, maybe his systems couldn't handle that type of an advanced hack, unlike the other glams, making him unable to be properly hacked into in the beginning.

Not only that, there are some issues he has with performing, who knows, maybe he's had collapses before. We don't know.

Him being unable to enter the West Arcade:

"When I step onto the West Arcade dance floor I cannot stop myself! It is a programming bug." (West Arcade)

I'm aware him being in safe mode meant he's disconnected from the main network as well keeps him docile. While the "Afton" fight isn't technically canon, with the other upgrades on Freddy, those parts might have made him more susceptible to the virus attack. There's not much evidence pointing to the other glams not being prototypes but seeing how they each have upgrades while Freddy doesn't, that might hint that the others were mostly finalized, meaning their systems were properly functioning (aside from the virus of course).

Sorry if this was super long, but it's something I thought about and I had to put it in words. Nothing about Glamrock Freddy is normal, like he's not possessed (I use to believe in the glammike theory but I don't anymore eh...), but he's a prototype! He's gonna act all funky because he's not polished yet... and I think that's very interesting and endearing (in an odd way).

That's why at some point it feels a little more headcanony than other parts. (we dont get enough of Clay honestly.) Anyway this was fun to write, I can't wait for you all to read it! You groaned as you came out from under the machine. It’s a machine that doubles glitter. It was just to be a little in spirit of returning to troll society, but it’s turning out to be the hardest machine you’ve ever worked on.

You dust glitter off your arms and adjust your clothing. A part of you feels embarrassed to be working on a glitter machine like this. You have so many other projects and your working on this to be cool to other trolls? You’re close to giving up when-

“Hey! I’ve been looking for you! I asked around town and- What. Is. That.” Clay stopped in his tracks as he pointed to the large (but not too large) glitter-covered machine. You sigh and brush yourself off, inherently spreading more glitter.

You cover your face in embarrassment. “No, it’s nothing, just a thing I’ve been working on.” You say, not expecting Clay of all people to show up suddenly and notice your big “surprise.” Your cheeks flushing a deep shade of red.

Before you could protest, Clay was already inspecting the machine.

“Clay-”

“It’s a party machine!”

“Clay, don't do this.”

“Or it’s a…sun bathing machine.”

“You’re not serious please just-”

“Ooooor it’s a Glitter doubler machine that doubles one piece of glitter into hundreds more.” Clay look at you as if he was correct and you groaned in embarrassment. He walked over to you and stood next to you. “Can’t hide anything from me, you know this. What’s wrong?”

You frown, crossing your arms. “I feel like I’m doing too much to impress these new Trolls, I mean glitter machine? Someone has to have already made that.” You say as you nervously bite your nails. Clay’s arm wraps around your neck and pulls you into his shoulder.

You lean into him, grumbling your grumbles that he loves so much. Clay shrugs slightly. “Well, if you’re doing too much than…they’d want you to do more.” Clay sends you a serious look and you instantly recoil, he can’t be serious. Clay interjects your thoughts “I know it sounds crazy but have you met Viva’s sister? She’s crazy when it comes to going big or going home. She never goes home.”

You snorted at the sentiment, but looked at your invention and frowned. “But what if it explodes when showing off? That defeats the purpose! Everyone will hate me for sure.” You we’re becoming a nervous wreck the more you thought about it,

Clay’s hand went over your temples, beginning to rub gently at them to stop any sights of an inventor's headache. “Okay okay, bring it back down. There you are.” He said, nipping your chin with his thumb and index finger. You laughed, mostly because your neck was ticklish, but also because you blush hard ever time he does it.

Clay looked you in the eyes and crossed his arms. “Let’s think about disasters; after you build it huh?” He offered, you rolled your eyes and he clicked his tongue at you. “That’s my girl, now let’s get to work!”

Now, you stood next to clay for your first test. When suddenly, glitter sputtered out the sides and the top. You groaned. Clay then pointed out that it's doing one thing they wanted, but not another. “Okay, we're doing something right and something wrong.” You look at the machine and feel a sense a pride in it now.

“Okay, well, obviously it's something on the sides. I have to cover those up somehow.” You'd deduce and giggle when Clay made a mock surprised face. “Alright let's do it!”

You laid on the ground stomach full after Viva brought you French fries and meat circles. You were halfway to a food coma when Clay asked “This isn't just about the machine right, the change is hitting you too?” he asked, looking at you with worried eyes.

You just nodded. “I understand change is hard, but this? This is crazy. Moving entirely out of Putt Putt Village for this? It's enough to make your skin crawl.”

“Well just so you know your are not the only one, every other troll is in some kind of tiff about it too. I mean I had to give up my admin house.”

“You hated living in that thing.”

“Quite the contrary, it was actually delectable beyond reasoning.”

“You always do the voice when I'm right. Just admit it alright?”

“Nothing to admit.”

“I sometimes hate that I love you.”

Finally, the moment had come, everything fell into place. You decided the go big or go home approach would be best. So now you had a small glitter volcano, it's small, adorable, and simple. However its just big enough to where you can't go home.

Surprise surprise, everyone adored it. Glitter trolls have already been caught bathing in it, but you only build the machines, you don't monitor them. You are in Poppy’s pod getting a mouthful about how great that glitter-cano is. Then when you came out you got more compliments! It wasn't until you and Floyd were eating lunch together that Clay even asked. “So, did everyone like the-”

“YES! They loved It! They all loved it so much that they told me they liked it and I've never felt greater!” You squealed as you looked at the pin Poppy had given you. It wasn't much, it just said “You did it!” even then you still were pretty stoked.

Clay smiled. Leaning on his hand as he looked at you. “That's awesome! I'm so proud of you.” he reached across the table to offer a high five, and you smirked and took his hand. He was confused until you pulled him to meet you in the middle to accept a kiss on the forehead.

He slapped a hand onto his forehead and you laughed softly. “Thank you for being my number one Clay.” Clay admittedly blushed, but he'd never say that he did. He waved a hand.

“It's nothing, you know I'll always be here for you.”

Just. Thinking about Uzi as like. To me, Uzi always struck me as “the person who cares a ton in a world that just doesn’t, and has become bitter and angry at seeing other people not share that same level of care”

Like- on several levels Uzi’s shown herself to be a really caring person despite her angsty and angry demeanor-

her desire to build the railgun, especially in context of her ultimately turning around on N and helping/befriending him, feels like her motive (as well as finally getting respect and being something other than the weirdo loner/Khan’s disappointment daughter) is ultimately “I want to go actually help people instead of just letting the world out there burn”

Her and N stepping in to save the others, stepping in to save Thad, hell, the first thing she yells on entering prom is “UNHAND THEM YOU FIEND”, which. Very overdramatic nerd of her, but it also suggests on some level at least saving the others *was* actively on the forefront of her mind (even if it might be at least partly in a “wanting to look cool” way)

The fact that she got so attached to the Murder Drones, sympathizing with their needing to drink oil (even before that became direct empathy) and deciding it’s best if they work together

Hell- she might’ve had the comical underreaction statement of “I’m gross and eating people” when N was talking to her, but like that’s more than Braiden reacted when he killed someone, plus part of it was the fact she was talking to N- like. He’s done a lot of murder. Like. So much. (More headcanony but like. Maybe part of why she focused on her fears of him leaving her was that on some level she recognized that focusing on her horror over the murder might’ve unintentionally hurt him again? (I know I’ve had times where the main thing I thought about while actively having a meltdown was “but what if this is getting in the way?!”-))

Even in terms of personal relationships, it really does feel like once anyone gets over that initial wall, she gets attached to people very fast- she’s already getting open and vulnerable with N, and like someone else pointed out, her insult at V felt half-assed- Heck, after getting a brief window of clarity from her feral rage in ep 4, her first response to V moving in for the kill/the worst pain she’s probably ever felt is just to beg to see her friend…

Like- this isn’t to say she’s necessarily Nice- I think she should be allowed to be rough around the edges, she’s bitey and bitter, and honestly with how people treat her it might be warranted? Emily was the cross gesture REALLY necessary-

But also- I think that a major part of her is just. She’s defined by passion, be it for her projects or for her interactions with others. She’s a person who hasn’t gotten enough attention and has started to lash out and instinctively push people away first, but like. She’s got a lot of love in her I think, a lot of love that’s had nowhere to go in a way it’d be reciprocated for a long time… (also Ep 1 might’ve given her/reenforced some abandonment issues tm which. Fun)

How do you think May and Drew would’ve gotten together?

OOH OKAY so, first off, same answer I have for another ask somewhere in my queue- which is, I'm not someone who usually latches onto one version or fanon. I like to mix and match and mingle between interpretations rather than setting up my own concrete one, honestly. I have no taylor-canon-contestshipping agenda, I just go with whatever's the most entertaining to me and my friends at any given point in time.

That said, I feel like the Johto Arc THAT WE DIDN'T GET TO SEE could have kickstarted it. Like, in the Johto arc, they may or may not have traveled together as a group (unconfirmed) but at least they'd have ran into each other multiple times (confirmed, May says that her rivals are kicking her ass in Johto during the Wallace cup cameo). And by that point, they're on friendly terms (see: Unbeatable Lightness of Seeing as their last real canon marker of where they are friendship wise). Headcanony territory below, rambling as I do. Long post, which is to be expected when someone enables my contestshipping LMAO.

In Johto (rip the abandoned Johto fic I had like 1.5 years ago and all the other fics that don't make it out of google docs), I like to think it was May, Drew, Harley, and Solidad travelling together for at least certain stretches of the journey. I can see SO MANY SHENANIGANS that could lead to bonding and furthering that friendship into more of a foundation for something more. Strolling the Goldenrod National Park and talking after one of them had a bad loss (canonically, probably May), meanwhile Harley is off trying to be a guest on Goldenrod Radio or something with Solidad in tow. Or, May making an ill-informed decision to poke around Burned Tower and having her leg fall through one of the rotting floorboards, only to find a hand IMMEDIATELY reaching out to catch her. ALSO, BUG CATCHING CONTEST! Wait, lmao, imagine Drew in the Pokeathlon.. it's giving 'May wanted to do it and needed teammates but Drew is basically taking the approach of walking the mile in PE but he's doing the best he can and hating every second of it' tbh. You cannot convince me he's a sports guy. ANYWAYS little things like that are what I tend to gravitate towards- little misadventures that come together to solidify that trust and friendship, via situations and circumstances that were entirely avoidable but not at all regretted. A very 'Who What When Where Wynaut' approach, honestly- toss them into a situation and watch something bloom out of it.

So, Johto happens, shenanigans ensue, the rivalry turns far closer to pure friendship. I'd say the rivalry really leans into that shift from 'I want to be better than this person, I can't lose to them' towards 'I want to do better because of this person, not to spite them'. It becomes a partnership.

But technically I haven't even answered your question yet. I think this carries on for a few years, rivalry and friendship and whatever else sort of intermingling into its own form of relationship. They aren't rivals or friends or lovers, just... May and Drew. Like a combination move- it's no single thing, it's a conglomeration of emotions that come together into its own thing. I think they're two people who fall into something very naturally and without 'making it official' per se, just a gradual tumble into friendship-and-then-some over time until one day they sort of realize they've been functionally a couple for months on end and didn't notice. I like to think it's the kind of thing where they say they're dating and people would be like...a "wait, we thought you guys just had your two-year anniversary" type deal LMAO. I think this tends to be a pretty popular opinion/interpretation, too. Because here's the thing.

Drew would make a move. We see him do it every other episode he's in. May does not pick up on it or really explore her own emotions like he seems to. I think even if she did find herself on that same page, it would go like:

Drew: Well, I've been doing the rose shtick for years and nothing's happened, so I should respect that boundary and make sure to not push it anymore.

May (assuming she figures herself out here): I value this friendship and don't want to risk it, and I'm probably misreading him.

Like, I can SO EASILY see them falling to a standstill on actually making it REAL, so I think it's something they just fall into quietly until some external force makes that push for them. (forced proximity trope, in vino veritas trope in a timeskip, something like that).

Uhh let's start with Kalim tho before I get rambly.

Honestly for how entwined Kalim is with Jamil, I don't really think about him that much. Like I definitely don't feel like I have a firm grip of Kalim's character below the surface. He is a total sweetheart, though, despite his cluelessness, and being one of the faves of one of my friends definitely always earns extra points.

A precious boy, basically, who I feel like yes is in a very complex entanglement with Jamil, but does not deserve too much blame for the situation being what it is.

Now, for Jamil. Unsurprisingly he got a few more matches on the bingo sheet.

I wish I could circle that beast unleashed for an actual (almost) bingo but idk, sure you could make an argument for it for book 4 and stuff but it just doesn't seem like the right vibe (or perhaps I just don't know what vibe that square is going for to begin with).

Partial circle on the headcanon square because yes I think about him a lot but I don't feel like I go for headcanons that much? Like it's more about canon things, extrapolating from there, or just "wouldn't it be neat" kinda stuff, if that makes sense.

(Or maybe I just think my opinions are so obvious I don't even recognize the headcanony nature of them, y'all can be the judge of that).

I feel like there are folks in the fandom who do have some curious opinions about him but I've done a pretty good job of surrounding myself with like-minded folks so I'm good.

My canon denial mostly goes for the tragedy of it all, like yes Jamil's situation sucks but how about I just focus on happier things instead (yeah good luck to me with that).

Partial silly for the good old passion for dancing overtaking him and stuff like that. And when he's just ribbing his schoolmates. Because then there's also those parts of him that are anything but.

I don't think anyone would disagree that he's a bastard. I mean, book 4, masquerade, we know how much (that is, little) he cares by default.

Kiss and bite are mayhaps kinda related and do not even begin to cover the range of desirable actions but I'm just gonna leave that at that.

Also like sure red and black are also the dorm's colors, not just Jamil's, but come on, those are definitely my colors, too.

Tho I do tend to prefer silver over gold, but anyway.

And as much as I have my problems with snakes, the way the hood suggests a snake and all the other little details are just so cool.

And don't even get me started on his hair and the hoodie under the school uniform and all those little things he does with his looks to push the envelope (oop is this actually a headcanon?) and to have a more personalized look while staying within what's required/expected of him.

you are speaking my language rn, god i haven't played a red hawke in SO long, this somehow ended up a mix headcanony and reactions but idc i like how i wrote it thx

Anders: He is trying to not laugh, he shouldn't laugh. But it's arguably too adorable and if he is expected to be composed then that is just honestly cruel. There is so much love in his heart as he looks at Hawke, their flustered behavior, and absolutely lousy words of soft comfort and he can't entirely figure out how to contain it. He presses cherished little kisses against their cheek, telling them that it's fine. He knows that Hawke shows love in the way they keep an eye on him in battle, listens to his concerns, and always have him within arms reach- the secretive little touches and just the way they look at him. Softness doesn't come naturally to them, and that's fine, he loves them all the same. But the effort is appreciated and well rewarded.

Fenris: He gets it, really. Fenris is many things but soft is not one of them, and as he stares at Hawke late at night he feels his chest seize up and for a split second wonders if maybe he is dying. But then he realizes that he is just staring at the person he loves and they're acting a fool because of him and well- that is just a little bit too much. He doesn't really understand why, they're not soft people either of them, they're sharp pointed edges and roughed up by the world around them yet Hawke is doing so much just to give Fenris a gentleness he's never quite known. He cherishes it all the more because of that.

Isabela: Oh she bursts out laughing, ignoring the expression that might be called a pout on Hawke's face. She gives quick kisses in succession as rewards and in an attempt to stop them from running away and keeps exclaiming 'that's adorable'. Isabela does eventually soften herself, into a more serious tone and mumbles that the attempt is appreciated but she loves how they show affection as it is. She does try to coax that horrible version of softness out more and more though, there is something about it that makes her feel all warm inside and she gains so much joy from watching Hawke try to form the words and figure out the actions. And maybe, just maybe, she's a bit overjoyed that they're trying so much for her.

Merrill: At first she has no clue what Hawke is on about, doe-eyed and confused staring at them as their mannerisms and words grow more flustered by the second. And then it clicks, and she lets out the tiniest little 'oh, Hawke', endearment in every letter said. And Merrill is all giddy in a second, leaning in closer and practically becoming the embodiment of adorable pestering. She will probably ask for it again, if its some soft little gesture of affection like pushing her hair out of her face or adjusting little pieces of armor- things still within Hawke's abilities but maybe still a tiny bit out of character with the PDA and gentleness in the touches. She is like a cat basking in the sunlight, a beam of sunlight that shines even brighter whenever Hawke fails oh-so-horribly at the little things. She loves them all the more for it.

Sebastian: At least he feels bad for laughing a bit, Hawke looking as much as a fish out of the water as is humanly possible. Sebastian does appreciate it, really, but by the maker, he has to wonder if they're in pain as they try to say things entirely out of the norm for them. He is the type to ask Hawke exactly what prompted this, and reassure that while he doesn't mind this whatsoever (it's cute, he adds in his head, absolutely adorable actually), they don't have to feel obligated. He fell in love with them for who they are, Hawke just needs to be...Hawke. That doesn't mean he doesn't absolutely lean into it, he is usually the one dishing the soft little touches and comments out so when he gets them its entirely something he over-indulges in from then on out.

I’m back.

So since the Ink Demon content here’s a lil slow, I decided to do what I do best…

& ramble on about my favorite freaky boy with daddy issues again!! Yaaaaaayyy!!

But this isn’t just ANY ramble, no, cause my twisted & frankly evil imagination gifted me something interesting today (as it usually does).

So there I was, dozing off to some music, when my brain crafted a scene…

of the Ink Demon’s very beginning…

which is kind of headcanony, I’m honestly just doing this for fun.

He was the first, the first success when it came to creating life with the ink, even if it was hard to tell how “alive” he was at first.

The quaking & shivering of the ink-soaked being was the only immediately clear indication, his frantic breathing gradually slowing as he took in the world around him.

All the fancy thingamajigs he couldn’t possibly understand were fascinating to look at, sure, but what REALLY caught his attention were the many faces staring back at him, some with horror, some with excitement, & some who were too dumbfounded to pick an emotion to stick with. They were all looking at him. Who were they? Did they… make him?

He tried to stand, his boney legs struggling to support himself as he kept falling to his knees. He kept at it, making quiet whimpering noises out of frustration. He wanted to stand like the rest of them, but couldn’t. He tried grasping onto the nearest elevated object near him to raise himself, legs shaking even further.

To his observers, it was such a sad sight. Even if the creature was unnerving to most of them, seeing it struggle was depressing to watch. One of them got an idea.

Thomas Connor, the man who engineered the machine that created the being in the first place, was the first one to step up & aid the newborn entity in getting a better grasp on its surroundings, even if using a nearby wheelchair to do so felt a little… odd, but it was the best solution he could think of in that instance, so he wasn’t complaining. He planned to help the thing learn how to properly walk in a more convenient environment, but for now, Tom thought it was appropriate to show the creature what would be known as its new home.

The ink creature gazed down at his dangling legs, finding mild amusement in how he was moving while sitting down. He eventually got into the brief habit of twiddling his thumbs when he wasn’t looking around at his environment.

He was curious about himself, about his rather large white hand & the crooked white thing on his chest. They stood out to him, especially in comparison to the rest of his skinny stature. That’s when he saw one of the Bendy cutouts.

Thomas told it that this was Bendy the Dancing Demon, the mascot of this studio & well… it, for the most part.

It was Bendy.

HE was Bendy.

Which… immediately was off-putting.

The character in front of him was so… small with such a plump stomach & a big head. “Bendy” put a hand to his own chest while looking at the cutout, feeling each line of his ribcage.

Tom could tell the poor thing was already judging itself in comparison to its cartoony counterpart. He tried to ease it by telling it they’d work on THAT later as they finally arrived at his office.

There was enough stuff around the decently sized room for the thing to hold itself up with, so this seemed like a good place to teach it how to properly walk.

Tom disliked getting ink on himself like this, but these first few steps would require some direct assistance for him, so he did what he could. He held the creature by the hands as he guided it around the office, keeping a slow pace so it could properly find its footing.

While he walked, “Bendy” took in all the things around him that he could, still trying to wrap his head around this strange place. Over & over, he kept thinking about his name. “Bendy”, “Bennnnndyyy”… What about THIS person’s name? Who was the man that was helping him? What was HIS name? Did he even have a name? This was all very confusing to him. He didn’t even know who created him yet. He began getting curious, perhaps a little too curious.

Once Tom was satisfied with the progress the ink creature had made, he ordered it to stay put in his office until he had returned to report the news to “Joey”, who he explained was the man who presumably “created” the character of Bendy.

To “Bendy”, this confirmed at least ONE of his questions: his creator was this “Joey” person. He wanted to meet him. He tried following the kind man who helped him, but the man was having none of it, raising his voice at “Bendy” to stay put no matter what.

Tom, wanting to report to Joey as quickly as possible, rushed off, leaving the ink creature briefly poking it’s head out of the door & watching him leave.

Although he was well aware he was disobeying the kind man’s orders, “Bendy” was just too curious about what else was out there, all the places the man neglected to show him, all the other funny fleshy faces the creature wanted to see…

He carefully made his way out of the room, deciding to roam the halls to see who or what he could find on his own.

So far, the halls were rather vacant of life, but they at least had a variety of different quirky posters sprawled about. He found himself curious about the posters featuring other cartoon characters, such as the one with the big snout & the one with the halo. Who were they? He was not exactly the best at reading at this point, so it was difficult to find that out for himself. Did this mean there were others like him? Or was he the only one?

He continued forward, slowly making his way down the halls until he came face to face with another person. They didn’t notice him at first, but the second they did, they practically fell over in terror, scooting away from the creature before eventually running off. “Bendy” reached out with his gloved hand to try & reassure them, but it was too late for that.

What was wrong? Wasn’t he the mascot of this place? Shouldn’t that person be excited to see him alive & moving?

“Bendy” explored the area further & quickly found a nearby wall of glass where he could just barely see his reflection in it. He walked closer to it.

Oh.

Oh.

The simplistic & adorable eyes of his counterpart were nowhere to be seen. Just ink. He tried swiping the ink away, but there was nothing underneath. His toothy smile matched the cutouts and posters, but his mouth could not emote any further than that, no matter how much he pulled & tugged at the ends of it.

This… this couldn’t have been HIM, right?

He was supposed to be Bendy, the cute little dancing demon!

But he was neither cute nor little, & he doubted he could dance with such a limited grasp on walking as it is.

This didn’t feel right, HE didn’t feel right, he felt like…

He heard footsteps echoing through the halls.

He panicked, wobbling his way back to the office he escaped from, fearing the man from before would be upset with him if he found him wandering about.

He closed the door behind him, wandering the office as if he never left, waiting for the nice man’s arrival.

Except it wasn’t the nice man that opened the door to greet him.

It was another man.

A man who, for a SPLIT second, looked upon “Bendy” with the brightest smile on his face…

Before it immediately vanished, replaced with nothing but horror & disgust.

So much had happened.

So much agitated yelling, so much horrified screaming…

It was all a blur to “Bendy”.

All he could remember was struggling to break free from someone’s grasp as he was thrown into this small room, hearing a click from the other side.

The door wouldn’t open, no matter how much he pushed or pulled or twisted the knob.

He was trapped.

The room was so dark. He could barely see anything around him. He kept knocking things over & making a mess anytime he tried to stand up & move.

This often left him on his knees, inches apart from the door.

Some days, he wouldn’t bother with it, just curling towards the nearest large object & letting himself rest, maybe even toying with some of the various smaller objects to occupy himself.

But on other days, he banged at the door for hours, begging for someone, ANYONE, to find him & let him out.

He put all of his energy into every slam, trying to make as much noise as possible.

He didn’t know why this was happening to him.

Sure, he didn’t look like the mascot he was supposed to be, but the nice man said they were gonna fix him.

So why did they do this?

Was this a part of the process?

Did the man lie?

Did he… deserve this?

Days on end, he felt the ink from his face leak to the ground as he whimpered & cried, the permanent smile never wavering.

He just wanted to get out. He wanted to see the bright rooms again. He wanted to see the posters again. He wanted to see the cutouts again.

He wanted to see his face again, his PERFECT face…

His perfect face…

Curse his perfect face.

He wouldn’t even be here if he had just come out right.

But then again… what if he somehow got WORSE treatment if he was “perfect”?

What if they made him do things he didn’t want to do?

What if he got hurt & wasn’t perfect anymore?

What if…

What if there was no way to not be hurt?

He wondered as he continued to bang on the door, each slam turning more & more aggressive & frantic…

Yanyan could very well have realized her potential but since there isn't much of her martial art shown in-game, I'm inclined to put her just before Jam. And on the topic, I honestly believe Jam could be one step ahead of Jet if he managed to put it to good use.

Putting Doctor in that spot was due to a space factory headcanon. Since Space Factory proves multiple R-Doctors exist, I feel confident enough to put it where I did.

W-Meemee would be after N-Jam if she were more experienced in her magic.

If A-Baby is a top agent at their organization and uses a UFO as an attack, I'm sure he has all sorts of lackeys at their fingertips. Though I do feel like he and Doctor are interchangeable.

I feel like I should mention Gongon, on top of his physical strength, also has some form of wind power (3D Monkey Fight) that's never been super elaborated on.

Undeniably, in-universe, I think F-Gongon is either the 2nd strongest character or the strongest. I wasn't too sure so I reread Yanyan's descriptions; it mentioned Hachi-En-Ken being the strongest but not actually her father. F-Gongon adopts Yanyan /j /j

I feel like N-Jam is, while still rowdy and silly, more responsible than the original which is why he's right behind Jet.

also watched g.houls rule. tbh not really good in terms of story. and cleo's "villainy" was written pretty sub-par ( like it was just a bit of a boring and bad twist and i think they really could have involved her more but honestly what she did was hardly that interesting and i wish she and deuce had discussed it and argued about it more for the tension ).

but the moment with her, ramses, and nef was my indulgence because it's nice to compare to b.oo y.ork and how cleo has grown. in gr, she wants so badly to appease her father. to the point she makes horrible decisions that she doesn't want or believe in in order to make him proud. tired of living in nefera's shadow and tired of being seen as lesser. she sort of takes this emotion and uses it in the situation with the humans because while she doesn't actually care too much about them or fear them or the like, she does fear her family and feel hated by them.

so as she learns to accept the humans, she also accepts herself, and it able to stand up to her father and nefera in order to get back what she believes in. like the ideas there are delicious... the actual plot and writing is just a bit eh.

ENTER KYLIE TALKING ABOUT MY CLEO SO NOW HEADCANONY POST-

while none of this is canon to my cleo, i'm eating up the relationship delving of her with her father and nefera because i feel it's core to her being and want to put it into my version. cleo is actually extremely insecure despite her behavior. wanting to live up to her father's expectations and not continue to be outshined by nefera.

but in this form of canon... she is dumped by deuce. which gets her laughed at heavily by nefera because she got broken up with by someone nefera and ramses both see as lesser. how did cleo get dumped by deuce of all monsters? it's insulting, embarrassing, and hilarious to nefera. and her sister and father make sure their feelings are known, which is why one the of the first things cleo says to deuce in the new school year is how over him she is. it's more to try and validate herself against her father and nefera's expectations than the truth... because, in fact, she's very not over him.

and then the queen of the school is getting knocked down repeatedly. clawdeen, frankie, and draculaura are taking center stage. and taking her ex whom she still adores. so she tries to get claw in trouble, just tries to shoo her away. cleo doesn't want to actually ruin anyone's lives, she just wants to get herself back on top to earn her father's acceptance. but she fails. repeatedly. and despite her antics, clawdeen still saves her life and then is the only one who can stop komos... cleo gives her her phone for the selfie trap and never takes any credit for basically having helped save the school. it's clawdeen who gets all the recognition.

freshmen year ends with her still happy despite it all, finding friends... starting to find herself. but then comes the ire of her family over summer. so sophomore year is her chance to get elected for prefect... popularity and restore her crown... only for clawdeen to once again take the spotlight. and then worse... toralei. and cleo makes the choice to prioritize the well being of the school and help clawdeen win than take it too personal. if she can successfully run the campaign and clawdeen wins, maybe she still looks like a winner and a ruler in the eyes of her family...

but that doesn't happen.

cleo is battling with herself hard. how can one be so happy and so upset at the same time. trying to spurn her father and nefera's expectations... but also still wanting to live up to them. she does want to be a ruler, she does crave the attention and status and she would never want to live a life of lower status... but she doesn't want to do it their way, and she's been repeatedly stifled when she either does try to grow or gets forced back into the box of selfish ruler at the beckoning of her family. it's confusing her and complicated. she's getting better, trying her best, but the girl at school is different from the girl at home, and neither side likes the other.

but she hides the stress and anxiety her father and nefera are causing her as best she can. nefera does have a bit of a rep at the school due to having attended many years ago, but very few if anyone know the full extent of the strain the older sister has put on cleo. even deuce doesn't know the full depth, just that ramses and nefera didn't really like him. he broke up with cleo believing the selfish, haughty girl was who cleo truly was at the time. but there are moments she isn't sure if it's her speaking of her father and nefera speaking through her. struggling to understand where the line of love is and the line of manipulation ( hint, it's mostly manipulation, though i do believe ramses does care for cleo, he just harbors a bit of a resentment in her choices. unlike nefera, though, he doesn't indulge in her suffering. so this only makes the manipulation worse and harder for cleo to understand because she can tell she is loved by her father, but he often takes advantage of this over her ).

cleo may technically be old by humans standards... being thousands of years, but her mentality and growth is only around a young teen. she wants so much... but is still figuring a lot of what that all is out...

I recently reread an old fic wip of mine that i never finished and I had some thoughts about Ethan and Silver. A little horny and very headcanony, so there:

For longest time I had this hc that Ethan is an absolute and complete nightmare of a slut. Absolutely unstoppable, will get into everyone's pants. I think it kinda aligned with him being portrayed as a bit unhinged and often dumb, which just kind of aligns with that in my brain. Silver is mildly terrified that he doesn't know a single person that didn't have a cough moment with Ethan.

So what is even more hilarious is the way Pokemas kind of shifted his usual portrayals and made him into this cutest sweetest little boy, he's just absolutely moe and this is precisely what makes this little hc of mine even more hilarious. He will fuck your dad and be absolutely both adorable and unapologetic about it and you can't even be angry about this.

But absolute cherry on top for me is if Ethan just never got to score Silver because Silver has issues and Ethan may be a disaster of a nympho but he's very nice about it and honestly doesn't mind at all Silver having issues (in my brain it's half trans screaming and other half is Silver having unfinished irezumi which he's very conscious about but I am pulling shit out of my ass so feel free to ignore those) as long as Silver doesn't mind Ethan continuing with his cough cough lifestyle (Silver does mind a bit and as much as slutshaming is at this point a way of expressing affection, Silver has issues which he also is aware of but as long as Ethan keeps on coming back and gets through Silver's defenses to cuddle a bit, it's okay).

So I’m the anon who asked for more Archon War Venti headcanons and I just loved it! I really like reading your headcanons cuz some of them are similar to mine but mostly are headcanons that I didn’t think of so it really is nice to read and see your thoughts about Venti!

I feel like as if I’m asking too much but could you keep doing these types of headcanons? Like it doesn’t have to be Archon War headcanons but like some headcanons about Venti’s relationship with the Ragnvindrs and Gunnhildrs. Because the first Gunnhildr was the first one who prayed to Barbatos and the first Ragnvindr was his friend who left but came back and I really wanna hear your thoughts on that!

And I’ve decided to get off anon cuz you just replied to my texts and I wasn’t expecting that so I’ve got a short confidence boost that I am completely taking advantage of! And thanks for the advice! or uhh comment? observation? I’m not entirely sure but thank you for that! rfouierjkhfkecs i actually came across information on Gunnhildr and the "Red-haired warrior" yesterday when i was doing more research into the rebellion against Decarabian and I was like "wow this would be really fucking fun to research and theorize on, but its too specific/niche to include unprompted no matter how much i want to" but bestie you prompted, and im literally so happy right now because I didn't think I'd ever really get the chance to post about them!

also lmao yeah, i tend to try and reply to as much as I can, since it's a good feeling when someone does and all. but yeah, no problem! I’m glad you felt confident enough to reveal XD. 

This may be structured a bit more like analysis/theory/just citing canon things at first before it gets into a more headcanony format.

More Archon War Era Venti: one two three

spoilers for Venti's backstory and Diluc's(kinda, i think, just in case)

first things first, laying down some canon background because before yesterday i hadn't heard of either of them outside of that one cutscene.

the very reason Decarabian had his storm wall up in the first place was because at the time Andrius had declared war on him- and his tower, and the city of Mondstadt by extent, were basically constantly under attack by Andrius's blizzards, which since he was still alive back then, were a lot bigger and covered basically what seems to be the whole of Mondstadt outside the barrier.

This meant that people had two options. Live in the city under Decarabian's oppression, or live outside the barrier, and brave the blizzards of a warring god... which was not a good idea

but the Gunnhildr clan(not yet called that) tried- and they almost died because of it. In the midst of a blizzard, the clan chief's daughter, named Gunnhildr(which the clan would be named after later) sent out a prayer that was heard by a wandering wind spirit. And the faith of that prayer gave the spirit enough power to create a small shelter to protect them.

When her father past, she became the new leader and also a priestess. She would later lead the clan to fight Decarabian alongside four others. And basically the Gunnhildr Clan ended up as like sworn protectors of Mondstadt

as for the red-haired warrior, who is basically assumed to be the earliest known ancestor of the Ragnvindir clan(im gonna refer to as Ragnvindir for convenience sake, even though "Ragnvindir" is technically a different character from Vanessa's era)theres not much information on him, but heres what i have from the various wiki's

- he was a wanderer

- one of the first to use the sign of windblume to find other rebels(so he's intelligent)

- actively propped up the nameless bard so he could watch as the tower was destroyed

there's this little tidbit too from the Windblume Ode bow's description that im probably gonna talk about a considerable amount too: "Atop the ruins of the ancient tower, amidst the cheers, songs, and tears of those who had newly won their freedom. A red-haired warrior turned his back on the newborn god, hidden like a single raindrop in a tidal wave of humanity. He was first among those who passed the secret sign of Windblume, the one who wove threads of dawn throughout the long night. His name has since been lost to time, but his deeds are still remembered in song." followed later by "The fate of this clan will likely never change: they shall ever live in the darkness and bring forth the flame of dawn."

Now I'm going to start with the Ragnvindir(geez, why's it spelled like that tho)

My idea of his character is basically formed by a mix of Ragnvindir stereotypes and just generally analyzing text.

So what do we know about Ragnvindir's for sure? they are shady motherfuckers- or at least they rarely operate in the spotlight. also damn, these guys are more cursed than anemo vision wielders- like the only one who didn't canonically lose someone close to them was Crepus, but considering that Diluc doesn't exactly have a mom..... he probably did

so what do we know? - he was close with the nameless bard - he was intelligent - he likely operated primarily from the shadows "ever living in the darkness" - he was a wanderer - he abandoned Venti during the celebration - but his deeds were still remembered in song, so Venti and him were likely still close

now the question of the century: how will i choose to interpret "turned his back on the newborn god"? And honestly, I'm- not sure- at first i assumed he abandoned him completely- but Venti did still make sure to carry on his memory- which could just be Venti being Venti, but for the sake of sanity, this is how I'm interpreting it.

A lot of things happened to the Ragnvindir that day. He lost a friend, saw another become a god to replace the one they had conquered, and he saw his goal, his reason for being in Mondstadt, come to fruition. "see the world through my eyes" the bard had said, and the Ragnvindir had been a wanderer even before. Sure, the people had won freedom, and that was to be celebrated, but he's intelligent to recognize that people would likely see him as one of the key figures in leading the rebellion. And for him this was a solemn time, and ending to a chapter, and not being one to operate in the spotlight, the last thing he'd want is to be swept up in festivities and attention at a time like this.

It also likely didn't help that he's probably smart enough to understand the idea of "power corrupts," and seeing the wind sprite just readily accept the mantle of Archon was likely not the most comforting thing to happen in the given situation after all. But Decarabian was gone, and Andrius had ceased his blizzards, so without a word, he slipped into the crowd and left, a wanderer once more.

now back to Gunnhildr

she was the first to receive an anemo vision from Barbatos, no I do not take criticism on this "the power bestowed on her by Barbatos" like please, they basically said it.

It also mentions that she crowned Venti with laurels(symbol of vistory) after the battle- the book Biography of Gunnhildr additionally says "the Gunnhildr Clan will continue honoring the legacy of its ancestors and its duty to the Anemo Archon: to protect Mondstadt, the land and all who inhabit it, forever."

I really like this because it conveniently ties into my past headcanon about Venti granting visions to the people of Mondstadt and having them be the ones to erect wind barriers and defend the city in his absence.

So in the Archon War I like to imagine that the Gunnhildr clan had a lot of people who were actually granted visions and were basically in charge of protecting it from those who would attempt to ambush them.

Mondstadt essentially became known for this- the fact that the mortals within it were strong enough to fend off the force of a god without support from their own.

but regardless, Gunnhildr, as she had before, served as a priestess to Barbatos, the closest thing that Mondstadt had to a ruler, and yet she only took charge of prayer and protection.... i hate to just- equate them to their descendants- but to an extent- her role was kind of like a merge between Jean and Barbara- Except with a whole lot less structure.... i really dont want their characters to just be carbon copies of the descendants but- c'mon, the comparison was right there.

anyways besties- back to Venti so i can tie them in

The Archon War was one of the worst times for Venti in his entire life thus far. And the time immediately after Decarbian's fall, while Gunnhildr and the Ragnvindir were still alive, was the key period of time in which things could have gone very differently.

Venti is the god of freedom. That's a reoccurring theme and I think I've made that abundantly clear. But during this time, Venti was anything but free.

I've mentioned before how he would stay far from the city of Mondstadt so the shockwave of his death wouldn't reach him, should he fall.... well- Venti is new to a lot of things- godhood- humanity- war- freedom- and at this point he was trying hard to figure out how to be Mondstadt's god without becoming Decarabian, and while still being able to survive, and make sure they survived, and see the world for his friend, and carry on his friends legacy.

And this is a lot of stuff for what was once a carefree elemental being, and there were certain things that had to be done for this to happen. He couldn't just stay in Mondstadt, or he would grow weak and his people would be vulnerable to attack, but he couldn't abandon it, because despite being able to fend for themselves, there's always hat just in case. He couldn't stay in any one place outside of Mondstadt for very long or he'd be found and killed. He knew in order for Mondstadt to survive he would have to take an active role in the war, strengthen himself so he could defend Mondstadt, and thats exactly what he did.

He started by going after the less powerful gods, ones he had a chance at beating with the power he got from the Gunnhildr clan and the rest of Mond, and by wiping them out, he would grow stronger, so he kept it up- working his way up the metaphorical ladder.

but he couldn't let anyone near him either, because he knew just what would happen if he was attacked then. Were it not for Gunnhildr's prayer, the early years of the Archon War would have been without contest the loneliest time of his life, and there would be nothing he could do about it, bound by survival and his attachment to the legacy of his friend, constantly fearing for his life and going against his very nature as the god of freedom. Frankly thrust into that circumstance that early on, and having to face it alone, it's likely that Venti would have caved under the pressure and dropped his attachment to either his survival, or to his friends legacy... or just something entirely worse(isolation messes with brains) so I'm attributing the fact that he didn't do that to Gunnhildr's companionship, speaking to him and guiding him through it as he had guided her through the blizzard some time ago.

I also like to think that she's responsible for founding at least a number of the different celebrations that still happen in Mondstadt even now.

anyway meanwhile! we got the Ragnvindir

He hears about Venti taking part in the Archon war during his wanderings and returns to Mondstadt to check in, wary of what he might find.

Venti, who hadn't seen him since the rebellion, is elated to say the least and they do a bit of catching up because they need it

and then the conversation turns more serious, and the Ragnvindir brings up a third thing that Venti needs to hold onto- his humanity.

See, in the early years, just desperate to get a foothold on the world, Venti's first number of targets were just indiscriminately going after those he knew to be weaker than him, and the Ragnvindir points this out, saying that while it's not necessarily bad, if he keeps doing it, it won't be long until he causes his and, by extent, Mondstadt's legacy to be tainted by a reputation for slaughter, no better than any of the other bloodthirsty gods that frequented the war's fields. "Think of what the bard would do, we were both close enough to do that much"

And Venti becomes yet more caged, but recognizes that he's right, and this is another turning point, that in the coming years would keep Venti from losing himself.

also- Gunnhildr, Venti having told her about the Ragnvindir's concerns that he now shared, probably organized some kind of event (not unlike the right of part, but also, yes unlike it) that was deliberately intended and designs to serve as an excuse that Venti could chose to take to visit Mondstadt, something she know he desperately wanted to do, but wouldn't allow himself for fear of putting them in danger. But if she made it an official celebration, then it would give Venti the opportunity to visit his people again, under the guise of it being a responsibility, not having to deal with the moral implications of doing so at a time when he was already dealing with enough of those already.

Also on his travels, the Ragnvindir probably started and spread a number of rumors that could end up working in Venti's favor, not that anyone ever knew it was him of course.

basically Gunnhildr protected the people of Mondstadt and did all she could to keep everyone in as high spirits as possible, Venti included.

And as for the Ragnvindir, he took a more realistic approach, traveling and getting venti followers in far places, spreading false information about him, and just overall making sure that Venti didn't do things he'd regret.

And when they died, Venti would carry their legacy with him as well, not losing his humanity to the tide of war as he very nearly had(though he still often came close), and trying to spreading high spirits where ever he could without fail.

isagi's observation note through the years. (could be headcanony in some part because my head hurts, but is intended to be an observation) (spoiler)

lil isagi aka yocchan. crybaby, get scared at the smallest, has sharp senses, probably doesn't have any friends. cry because of teddy bear, even. meet soccer at 4 and get better and grow well. is said to be a softie because his parents are very soft and kind too—aka good childhood home. cry at kindergarten too

lil yoichi after soccer up until middle school is said to be the best striker in saitama. indication of natural talent in soccer. play because of noa and still have noa as an idol (tho for nel yoichi arguably the idolazation level is way lower and more of a mentor/role model of sort. more humanized in his eyes, for the lack of better words. this is a heavy hc). fell asleep when watching a match at least once and also forgot to do his homework because of soccer.

ichinan yoichi—a very conscious teenage boy. people pleaser (will agree with his friends if the atmosphere pushes him too) and most of the time either just go with what his peers (& coach) want rather than following his own want because he doesn't want to get the negative sort of attention or just escape the situation. will simulate the day in the morning as part of his routine (unknown if he still does this in blue lock or not). tada said he often spaces out—keeps a lot of things to himself, his thinkings especially. the tendency to keep most of his thoughts and emotions in his head do presist even in nel—though it does got better (ichinan yoichi would never say 100% kill you to anyone). is already twisted ("soccer is cruel" & the whole chapter 1 being filled with faceless mobs + imaginary 1v1 with the GK), but doesn't seem to realize this (team z yoichi is the one who realize this). is considerate—too much, as most probably this is rooted in his people-pleasing tendencies. 0 valentine chocos aka yeah not popular. hie family while is still in good relationship and seems to be supportive, doesn't seem to know how he truly feels in soccer. can we even call tada his friend????

team z yoichi or what i would like to call fetus yoichi. literally like a baby who is trying to figure shits out. didn't realize his weapon is his spatial awareness until chigiri told him, which later evolve in nel. honestly kind of "confused but get the spirit" and compared to nel yoichi? ...yeah. weak as hell. that 299 rank speaks for itself. the whole "not the most physical player" has been there from this arc. the "yeah he is kinda messed up" realization with niko really plants the seed of how egoistic he can be tho. by all means, it's good the antagonists he faces here is niko, nagi, & barou because rin & kaiser would probably chew and spit him. his partner in this arc is bachira.

team white yoichi in some ways could be called the yoichi with the most amount of growth, especially regarding the way he perceive himself. the whole "keep changing himself" and "adapting" that becomes the key parts in his strength appears here after all. also the whole devouring thing. a lot happens here. (and biased note but team white dynamic is everything to me and they were like there for a really short time. idk what's up with barou-nagi-isagi trio but it's gold.) blue lock vs u20 arc yoichi should probably get a section for himself, but tbh that yoichi is more of a payoff for this arc's setups (his rivalry with rin, "luck", etc.). team white yoichi's partner is nagi while u20 is rin. but even though his character growth is already massive, comparing to ichinan yoichi, it seems off field a lot of his traits still remains. (i.e. "spacing out", is pretty casual & nice, polite but still has a distance). the concept of "flow" that laters grow into metavison (along with spatial awareness) appears here.

intermission: honestly than saying isagi is nice, he just acts nice & polite. decent human being, still, but because he is in the same series with bunch of rude boys he really does seem nice. as i have mentioned a lot of times before, there is always a sense of "distance" and "detachment" when it comes to people with him. not "cruel" but more of "apathy" or "polite purposeful ignorance"

which time to raise my own opinion because this is my post: i will kill for reo & isagi combo because there are a lot of potential interesting shits that could happen with "polar opposite mindset & ideology". reo is popular, isagi is not (pre bllk), both are nice but reo before nagi doesn't seem to get a real friend, so does isagi before bachira despite how nice they are. both are playmaker i can go on.

nel yoichi — ironically, while egoistical and values his own goal a lot, is not self-centered in the way he even calculates how other thinks in his calculation to score a goal (i.e. vs nagi reo combi "NO MORE MIRACLE" scene). —side note: i will argue vs manshine is A LOT for his character development with metavision and the realization about protagonism— and his beef with kaiser aside, in match he doesn't seem to get angry really fast during the play even when kaiser directly taunt him. he usually get angry outside of the match, it seems. one of the positive side of his detachment, ig. is so so op compared to the previous arcs' yoichis. his partner in this arc is... actually changing in each match, it seems. in barcha match it's kind of none if you don't count the combo with kuni in the end. mc + uber first half is kurona, then hiori. pxg is just starting at this time so who knows. but with how often his combo is changing now it really cements how adaptive he has become and how independent he is.

i don't know if i count wrong but despite how many bonds & rivalship he gets, the successful pep talk from isagi is scarce. chigiri (which is debatable, as the pep talk itself end up in a sort of argument), reo, igaguri. 2.5 is really low. bllk truly is not about magic of friendship.

will nel yoichi get a combo with kaiser that is not defense? idk. but i hope so. it will be cool & hilarious. i love my man but his beef with kaiser is very very entertaining to watch. you can insult his playstyle and at best all you get is a harsh "you really don't get it", you pair him with kaiser and he starts acting like barou.

note to self i really need to examine what is it about kaiser that is that abhorent to him. pride? we got barou & at some degree they still get along (after everything). touchy? we got bachira & nagi & chigiri; they touch and cling to him a lot. so hypothesis: 1) isagi hasn't beat him & get interaction with him off field afterwards, at least on screen. his relationship with rin and barou and nagi get better after he "beats" them and to some degree develop a combo with them. 2) the combination of touchy and pride right from the get go. it's the "ew" that presists and kaiser keep taunting him. 3) both 1 & 2 but who knows.

things about isagi yoichi

i'm keeping a list about isagi for reasons (mostly personal amusement) (please do feel free to add or correct them). contains possible spoiler for manga up to chapter 230 so far and light novel. will get longer, probably, as time goes on. (update, it gets longer and up to uber match ending as of today.)

considerate. almost like a people pleaser. actual people pleaser at first.

pragmatic. thinks very calmly, even when angry it seems, but his words still sometimes get too much.

think things through, sometimes too much.

is confident, but not unaware of his own weaknesses

start pretty insecure.

seems to be sheepish - happy when someone praise / support / pay a large attention to him (pretty humble) (interview, that one kid in station, his family)

how he acts depends on who he is interacting with

switch to a more polite speech pattern whenever nervous (pretty obvious in japanese text, like in the interview scene after bm vs mc).

seems to be less competent on other things other than soccer

looking at his favorite manga / song / shows (most are medias with children as the main audience in mind), either really loves his childhood or doesn’t pay attention to many things after soccer. seems like the latter.

a really healthy family dynamics. his parents are very supportive of his dream.

is a pretty 'normal' high school guy it seems. tissues near the bed, thigh fetish, read manga. speaks normally.

i really don't get why he has a habit of making sure his ahoges stand up in v before a match but god thats cute.

is good with people, but seems to enjoy alone time too. seems to be an introvert.

at least on screen, never really talk about how it was in ichinan with the blue lock guys. either it didn't bother him that much consciously or is the type of person who gets along with everyone but no one really knows the background of in details. (put it simply might be more introverted than he appears to be, especially considering how he usually is with people)

seems to be uncomfortable with new people in his personal space (early bachira + kaiser)

while doesn’t ‘like’ rude people, seems to grow ‘used’ to them and even openly admire them (barou + rin)

does not seems to easily prejudice / be judgmental to someone. is really patient (respect to barou, that one chapter with tada from ichinan, still praises kaiser despite the antagonism between them)

his fashion sense is pretty... this is very subjective as i don't have the word for it yet, but yeah, is either not good or pretty old fashioned. (in anime official arts)

when it comes to soccer often looks angrier expression wise

really egoistic. unsurprisingly.

sometimes is pretty self centered in the way that “this is my fault” sometimes, rather than focusing on someone else. but most of the time his self centeredness comes out as “i want this and i will get this”.

on some moments also seems to focus more on what he is not satisfied with rather than what he is satisfied with. might be caused by the storytelling beats, but if taken into consideration how he always wants to improve, it's not unsurprising.

seems to be more goal / result oriented, but is not dismissive towards the process.

whenever he sees someone better than him or something seems to be ‘impossible’ for him, most of the time his responds are ‘i have to work harder for it’. sometimes there are moments of insecurity, but they are fleeting and always went back to ‘i will overcome this / him’ as a respond.

both in and outside soccer, seems to be very independent

seems to be more analytical by nature rather than intuitive, especially in learning style. complete opposite of nagi.

is not wishy washy. knows what he wants and is not the type to change his preference because of his surroundings. did just act as if his preference is different / just doesn't say a thing or walk away when it isn't, back in ichinan these habits are obvious. in blue lock, he doesn't actively try to make other people uncomfortable and even still accommodate some out of the field, but clearly has become more outspoken in his preference or for his comfort. boy really grew more confident (and i love him for it).

he asks santa for ps4 and other than yeah normal highschool boy behavior idk how to dissect or overanalyze this yet give me a sec or a year.

like treats!!!! seems to be partial to sweets, but he also enjoys sour candies according to egoist bible.

his beef with kaiser is hilarious—but it make sense because kaiser obviously bring it up even out of field (that locker room scene after yukimiya isagi argument), taunts isagi every chance he got (vs barcha, vs mc), and whatever happened in the match. isagi better than some bluelockers and me fr frfr considering he still did not try to punch kaiser's mug.

which bring the point doesn't seems to enjoy fistfight. either shitty at it or just chose not too. but looking at his trend of being shitty at things that are not soccer and his canonically low stats especially before blue lock. yeah might be shit at fistfight (with also a bit of the latter because how do one not try to sock kaiser in the face after *gestures wildly* all that. footnote, i admit the bias). (karaoke, shidou vs rin duking it out pt.1—my guy was dying and he wasn't the one duking it out)

tidy, but not overly tidy to barou level. but realistically comparing it to stereotypes of high school boys? real tidy. (could be seen in blue lock exhib's display of his u20 arc locker and team white bedroom)

wants lil sis or big sis because of my neighbor totoro. idk how to dissect this either but—yeah not a rare thing for an only kid to say, actually.

seems to be more of a street smart kinda guy.

his tenacity in befriending or at least interacting with rin is admirable. shipping lense or not it really is.

he gets along with almost everyone. shipping lenses or not, also amazing especially for an introvert.

he says the wildest shit on field like uh yeah things he said with yukimiya was said to be cencored a little because in jp someone said he was calling yukimiya something else i don't know to say in english.

but is actually not an absolute asshole in field, saw yukimiya broke down and bro actually took a second to pay attention and moved on. until he got provoked, that is.

actually rarely become the one who approach other people first (kira, bachira).

can really got extreme when in high tension (shoving chigiri off, that 100℅ kill you @ kaiser).

turns out he talks about the thigh stuff bashfully. (it's cute.) but i still wonder why he likes lobster. like i feel like something is there. why is his taste in everything that is not soccer makes me wonder what the fuck is up with him. favorite song? cm jingle. fashion sense? honestly casual, but his sense in pattern and color is genuinely so bad im hurting. this point is so full of personal bias feel free to skip it.

seems to be pretty oblivious to things about not-soccer. especially his surroundings. not to the dense point but seems like it stems more from his focus at soccer. but this trait seems to go hand in hand with his self centered tendencies.

(this is bordering to hc, but) it seems like while is indeed obsessed with soccer, more than "oh he is only good at soccer", is more of a "if he wants it he will find a way to get it". but taking in account how his personality used to be in ichinan / pre blue lock, it's unsurprising that he doesn't want that mamy things. even in soccer that he is passionate about, he didn't back then. there is also the fact that he seems to have tendency to hyperfocus into something (i.e.: while still taking into account of others in soccer, think more of them as 'factors' than 'people'), so it may seems like the reason he got or became good at something is like "oh isagi is lucky / specialized in that", but it seems hard work and dedication really does put a big role into it, unsurprisingly. could reach that level in soccer because he is dedicated into it, tldr.

this part also became quite visible if taking into account he wants to play specifically as a striker. he is focused in this very specific thing he wants, that's why he managed to get it / improve in it.

if i did not miscount, he directly has a conversation with ego twice. and in both he is extremely impolite, calling ego names in one (u20 arc). while the other happened after he lost against rin in 4v4, and seems like he is still not happy with the loss. ans it shows. he is pretty rude when ego talk about luck which he himself noted was a big factor there. (man hold grudge.)

so yeah, seems like rather than "possessed in field" it could also be "possessed in everything related to soccer", though fudther research is to be conducted.

is pretty introverted even in blue lock. while sometimes he shares his insight to other people about his play, sometimes he also did not do this (recently you can see this the most in his interactions with ness). but yeah, this is the thing he shares about the most, something related to playmaking and soccer. but other than that nothing—at least on screen.

his pretty peaceful and uneventful background could be factored into, however ichinan highschool is pretty much his tragic backstort and not a peep about that to even bachira it seems. a possibility is that he is hyperfocused towards soccer. not to say his self centered part that is more of "what can i change about myself for this situation" and "i can't change others' way of thinking".

however seeing how that one meeting tada goes (post u20 break) and he said nothing to correct tada, even though he secretly disagrees—then also his parents who seems pretty oblivious to his soccer performance and how he casually acted about his lost against kira despite crying and screaming on public just before that—yeah, seems like a pretty private person. it's not that he is oblivious or do it out of malice, but mostly seems like he just doesn't comment about it and more of the listening type. and even when someone close ask the right question it seems like he doesn't try to show much expression or how he actually feels.

personal bias but yeah this is no longer """being polite""", this is actually being private to a very concerning degree. like the time he opened up about his worry, and still pretty related with soccer, that is completely visibly vulnerable seems like it was with nagi after 3v3 with rin (and see how that ended up. tho this make the fact that he and nagi became pretty close afterwards in such a short time a bit unsurprising. this two indeed kinda have quite a lot bonding moments outside and inside the field, shipping lens or not). like no wonder this guy snaps in soccer field, it's pent emotions fr.

but if how he is after u20 any indication, it seems like he really is very reserved outside of field that it kind of resembles how he was before blue lock. (who knows after nel arc (still bm vs uber rn when i write this, tho the match seems like ending), because boy seems grumpier there. not blaming him tho, it's battle royale inside that team.)

doing a little skimming but it seems like when talking about something he really never put focus on his feelings. it's either what's going on, others' feelings, or an opinion of his but if there are any feelings most of them stays in monologue and thoughts only.

adding to that nagi note, personally found it funny that he nearly get into same team with nagi TWICE (pre u20 team selection, nel choice where he is conflicted between german or england) but he never followed thru with it. this probably has more to do with nagi's motif & such rather than his, which this post wasn't here for sry nagi, and the fact that both that they are protagonists in the main and spinoff. but yeah, personally? it's funny it happened twice. especially factoring the fact they are close enough to have each other's number and isagi admits he has a nice chemical reaction with nagi.

i genuinely wonder how he interacts with kaiser outside of field. like. dude. i know it's funny.

might also add now that it seems the four people he is closest with is bachira and chigiri. was, with kunigami too but yeah. bachira especially, with the two keep being called two side of a coin/a soul. again, shipping lens or not, they are pretty close and isagi really seems to have come to a point where he is okay with bachira's habits no matter how odd. (personal bias, really sweet considering bachira has no friends before this and isagi while is friend with tada WE KNOW HOW IT ALL TURNS OUT). with chigiri, seems like the type of friends who look out for each other (isagi once shown checking his knee and messaging him, while chigiri is the first one jumping into action when shidou nearly kicked him). then you also add that chigiri only ever, on screen at least, opened up about his past to isagi and honestly yeah. shipping lens or not, these two definitely the looking after each other dynamic. kunigami come back, or at least interact with isagi more pls.

WHICH ALSO, seems like isagi is the only one reo kind of opened up to with his insecurities after the 2nd selection—kunigami and chigiri seems to get it too, but at least it was never shown on screen that he opened up the more vulnerable side of his anger at nagi and isagi to them. these two has a pretty good relationship it seems after that screening room scene. (might revise or at to this when epi nagi reach this part)

but this seems unsurprising in some ways because isagi really seems like the listening type. some people said these type of people is good when it comes to getting people opening up. also seems like isagi really never run his mouth so good choice actually. (look at him even he doesnt open up his own emotion how could he do that with other people's emotion. what is this a sign of pent emotion or just a sign of actual limited emotional intelligence when it came to processing them? who knows. blue lock's highly stressful and intense environment is also a factor here but hey, look at how isagi was in ichinan. might be old habits)

he is scarily cold and detached to his bonds when it came to soccer, it seems? like, he is still capable of sympathy even during the heat of the moment, unless you make him angry (both cases: yukki). but for the sake of his play his priority really is on "this is the play that i want" rather than friendships and stuff. on one side, professionality. on the other, yeah egoist.

outside of field doesn't seem to go out of his way to dig up about someone's backstory in "asking and digging and wanting to talk about feelings with them", but will listen if told. (i.e. chigiri acl convo, reo opening up, casually talking about soccer again after noa ego relationship bomb drop, etc.) seems to be more as 'minding his own business and being not nosy', which is kind of in line with his politeness.

then you bring soccer and his ideal play and it gets really cold. he really think of soccer as 'cruel' and it kind of shows with how little he thinks of outside-of-field-relation during a game. (really shows if you compare how most characters personal story, rin and reo for example, has a huge impact on their play) his brain really has an on and off switch with the niceness.

at some point in blue lock, his closest circle is bachira, chigiri, kunigami (could be canon or could be due to the fact these four are kind of the quadruplet of bllk). he is pretty much the guy most of everyone knows and has at least spoken with once after u20 tho.

but other than those 4, it seems that the one he have more highlighted rivalry are niko, barou, rin, and nagi, with yukimiya coming in later in bm. it's funny how isagi seems pretty attached to them in a pretty friendly manner in some ways. barou and rin is just on another level of "i will kill you" getting answered with "sure, okay, geez" (and it's hilarious. with barou, isagi shared meals, was a roommate, and went bowling together once. with rin, he did yoga, laughed at his death threat, and was pissed because rin was impolite. i can go on but moving on). nagi and isagi canonically get along pretty well out of screen. isagi is roommate with yukimiya—i didn't except this combo back then but i really want to know their interactions in that room, especially during and after their conflict.

then there is hiyori, kurona, and nanase's case whose relationship with him is more on the 'supporting side'. with reo, it seems to also fall into the rivalry category—but this guy's relationship with isagi is kind of more about reo-nagi relationship than with isagi himself. with aiku, it's rivalry between defender and attacker (resembles niko the most but the things these two said to each other is way wilder). then there is kaiser—i will wait til nel arc is done.

there are crumbs with some other charas like sae—but these two didn't interact (yet?) in canon. with noa, it's admiration and respect, to put it simply, but it seems it's leaning more into actual mentorship that is more casual compared to how most of bm is with noa (imo, take this part with a grain of salt). with ego, it's...surprisingly complicated on a meta level from my perspective at least.

isagi clearly agrees and thrives with ego's philosophy, but other than taking ego's words/guidance isagi was rude to him. then there is stuff like some part of their design being similar to each other (v hair, eyes on some panels tho this also happens with other charas, beta isagi sketch) and how during nel ego - isagi similarities get commented by noa and snuffy (tho on snuffy case is more of barou - isagi is like ego - noa, who is who tho we don't know for sure). it feels like there is more on these two for the future.

with his family, it's just sweet. his family is proud and supportive of him. and seeing how isagi is pretty independent as in his attachment style is very secure in blue lock, even with how ichinan basically turned him into a people pleaser, yeah definitely and canonically a good family there. he greets them every morning as part of his morning routine, and he is the only character who mention this in said trivia.

enjoys his alone time, based on his trivia. the introvert part is loud and clear.

he doesn't really get jealous easily. like rather than envy, it's more of frustration directed towards himself or straight up being pissed because said someone played a factor in why he couldn't make a goal. but most of the time, when he sees someone's strength, it came out more as an admiration and "i should do more and stand out more too!!!" rather than comparing himself and feels negativity. this especially never happen to his perception towards his capabilities. the closest thing we ever get to him feeling envy is perhaps the parts where he goes "i don't have weapon like them" when talking about chigiri's speed, kaiser impact, and others' specialities. but even then it never really lingers.

and from that probably also shows that isagi is really good at looking someone's strength or specialities. but this seems to also happen in looking at weaknesses and chances. he really does tries to take into account tendencies, skills, blind spots, etc. honestly thinking about this make sense why he immediately collapsed after vs mc, the information loading must be insane. but all in all, the main point is that he is pretty good at reviewing and observing stuffs indeed.

high achiever with an amazing durability. as said word by word by kaiser himself, this guy look at something way more amazing than himself and keep taking it as a challenge. aka his mental strength is insane—or his competitiveness is just that crazy. no wonder he thrives in blue lock where so many people want to him eat alive.

after thinking for a bit and connecting it with the 'not teaming with nagi during the u20 tryouts', it seems like also the guy who avoids his comfort zone, in area of skills and plays in this case. he seems to actively challenge himself.

seriously the type of guy who do and chase what he wants. egoist indeed.

but thinking about that, it also speaks of his adaptability and flexibility. while the part that definitely carries more tension, seriousness, and definitely didn't take shit came out so much in soccer, the way he interacts with those who are friendly with him is so different with those who are antagonistic with him. though so far, with the exception of kaiser it seems, he at some point ended up in a pretty good relationship with some of those—rin and barou are most telling. the antagonism is back on when they are in seperate team tho, but hey this is blue lock.

his moment of satisfaction is really fast—as in he like cheers for a bit, most of the time, then focus on the next challenge. this could be caused by: 1) blue lock highly competitive and rapidly changing environment; 2) it's just how he is build.

So far you seem to have a really good grasp on everyone’s character so I just wanted to hear your thoughts on this: when people talk about hero’s reaction to the truth it never feels quite right, like it feels lacking, said thing that’s missing is the fact it was sunny that did it, Mari’s beloved little brother that hero knows loved Mari so much too, I never see people bring up that point which is sad because I think it would create a interesting conflict within hero because on one hand sunny killed Mari on the other hand it was an accident and after cooling down a little he realizes that Mari would probably want him to not hurt sunny over it plus even though sunny killed her he’s also the last piece of her left (on a different note my hc is that hero sees sunny as a brother in law even though he never got the chance to marry Mari) so does what I’m trying to make sense? I’m willing to clarify on some things if needed

For this I would direct you to my fic Promises (Here’s a direct link) It’s the very first thing I ever wrote for Omori, and it’s probably the thing I’m most proud of from this fandom to date. My perspective on this is really personal, and based a lot on a very intimate situation. I’m gonna put this in my normal style, but this is more meta and less headcanony So

Why I Think Hero Forgives Sunny (And Honestly Kind of Quickly) 

I personally really don’t like any iteration of “Hero hits/punches/hurts” Sunny. It makes me feel really uncomfortable because I find it to be intensely out of character, and misses one of the main points of Hero’s character

Think about the situation that we first meet Hero (Real World Hero) in. Basil is drowning. Sunny is drowning. Aubrey pushed Basil and she’s the reason that they’re both dying. Kel is screaming at her. 

What does Hero do? He saves both of the boys, makes sure they’re breathing and alive, and he tells Sunny that they need to get Basil somewhere safe and dry. He does not condemn Aubrey or take the time to even say an unkind word to her. In fact he continues to be really worried for her until they get to her house

I see Aubrey and Basil at the lake as a direct parallel to Sunny and Mari. I also see Kel and Hero’s argument as a softer (but still there) parallel. I think it was really purposeful of Omocat to give both Hero and Aubrey (the two characters who would be most likely to react in a harshly negative way to the Truth) a situation in which they were Sunny. 

Hero and Aubrey were the ones in the wrong in those situations. Aubrey pushed Basil for no reason other than she was angry. Hero was grieving and he snapped at his little brother who was in the same exact situation. Both of them immediately regretted it. Both of them got the chance to apologize and take it back. Sunny didn’t get that. 

So I really cover this better in Promises tbh....Go read it I swear it’s not too long but it hits exactly how I think Hero would react and why

Ultimately I don’t see Hero not forgiving Sunny, and I don’t see him like distancing from Sunny. Not after the last three days, and the Basil/Sunny fight, and everything he realized over the journey of the game. I don’t think it would be easy, there would defintiely be times he needs to walk away or scream into his pillows and weep and grieve, but losing Sunny? 

No Hero would never be able to lose anyone again. Not like he lost Mari. 

As for Hero seeing Sunny as a little brother...yeah absolutely. I think that’s another reason why Kel continued to reach out to Sunny for all those years. Kel also sees Sunny as a brother

I’ve covered this a little bit, and I’m working on an AU right now (not published yet) that really deep dives into this idea, but like I see the four of them have something incredibly deep. 

Hero and Mari knew their lives would be spent together. Kel and Sunny grew up tied together because of their siblings and the love they shared.

So I grew up with a best friend like Kel and Sunny. She practically lived at my house, I saw her every single day (like literally every single day) she slept over at my house more often than she did her own, and one day she just stopped talking to me. Out of no where. Complete cut off. 

We reconnected when we were 17/18 just like Sunny and Kel and we immediately fell back into lock step. There was no resentment that I thought I might have. It was just ‘oh there you are I’ve been missing you’ and we’ve been joined at the hip again ever since. 

Hero and Kel and Sunny are forever intertwined now, a deeper connection because they lost their girl. There was never a point where Sunny wasn’t “the baby” (This is also why Kel has such strong middle child energy before even becoming a middle child)

They were a group of six, but there was something different between the four of them. Aubrey and Basil were dear desperately loved friends, but Hero and Kel were Mari and Sunny’s family. 

That kind of love makes you have strength you don’t think you have- the strength to continue to reach out to a closed door day after day and the strength to forgive someone for the ultimate accident.
