Challenge:  Calliope seeks sex advice

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Muse Temple Education ™ did not cover Sex Ed.

Callie remembered in bio just this school year, though, they had gone over condoms and spermicides and things involving heterosexual sex and at that point, the thought of Callie and sex was so far removed that she just zoned out and doodled in her notes.

Truth be told, the thought of Callie and having sex with a dude was still very far-removed. She’d done a few internet searches about what her sexuality could possibly be and decided very definitely that she probably would never want to have sex with a dude.

But with a girl—

She thought of Kiara kissing her, slipping her tongue into her mouth and pulling her closer. Callie’s heart had started beating like crazy and she didn’t think she could ever feel so hot and heated and didn’t think that all those moments in books where the couple was pulling at each other’s clothes could ever make sense. But she felt it. She wanted to tug at Kiara’s shirt, wanted Kiara to touch her, wanted—

But Callie didn’t know anything. Callie was scared.

She knew that Kiara and Alice were probably tugging each other’s clothes off or whatever. And she was fine with that. She really did like Alice. Maybe one day she’d even like Alice like Kiara liked Alice, but she knew that it took a while for her to like anyone that way (demisexual homoromantic was what Tumblr told her she was and that made sense to her).

The thing was—Callie like, kinda, really, sorta, totally?, definitely, wanted to have sex with Kiara???

The thought made her really really freakin’ nervous.

She was pacing around Dr. Sweet’s apartment. School sex ed had been REALLY unhelpful (well, at least it wasn’t abstinence only, but they only talked about Straight Sex ™ and like, that wasn’t fair because the WORLD WAS NOT MADE JUST OF STRAIGHT PEOPLE). And one internet search in, a bunch of—well, NSFW sites popped up, because apparently “lesbian sex” was a popular porn search (again, T H A N K S straight people).

So Callie realized she had no choice but to go directly to a medical professional.

Now usually, Callie and Dr. Sweet were very chill with each other, very direct. Callie asked him about the brusies on her neck, about whether or not she should increase her fiber intake, about what he thought about her back-to-school supplies. But this was different. This made Callie’s hands very sweaty.

She sat perched on the couch, waiting for Dr. Sweet to come home.

The door opened and Dr. Sweet put down his keys and Callie hopped off the couch and decided that she needed to just plunge right into it (okay, ew, not supposed to be a pun).

“Dr. Sweet,” she said, taking a deep breath. “I need your advice because the Internet is really unreliable.” She took another deep breath. “I-need-to-know-about-how-to-have-sex-safely-but-like-with-a-girl-because-the-only-thing-they-covered-in-school-was-condoms-and-that’s-really-not-helpful-and-the-internet-is-just-showing-me-porn-so-I-thought-I-would-ask-since-you’re-a-medical-professional-and-all.”

This came out all fast and in one breath and she looked at Dr. Sweet and then flashed a smile, giving him two finger guns.
