Yes.
Why is it tho? Her work and pet projects are nothing compared to the royals themselves, to name a few the scale of the Earthshot, Homewards, and the legacy of the Prince's Trust which reminded me that her Early Years work despite her repetitive rambling of how important the first 5 years of children's lives for over a decade now hasn't reached anywhere yet.
Are you seriously demanding that a philanthropic interest of 6 years must have identical - or better - results as an organization that’s been operating for 48 years?!
Oh, come off it, anon.
Kate didn’t pinpoint the early years as a strategic initiative for her charity work until May 2018; until then, she was exploring different interests and learning about different needs. She didn’t launch the Center for Early Childhood until June 2021 and, may I remind you, the center’s purpose is to fund research and support other organizations working on early childhood development. Of course it’s not going to have the same results as Earthshot or the Prince’s/King’s Trust! Her projects aren’t delivering immediate tangible results to the public - they’re developing experts and educating parents! It’s going to take at least 15 years, minimum, to see change because that’s the thing about studying and working with childhood - you have to wait until those kids grow up to assess the impact.
Unlike Earthshot, whose projects can measure impact to the environment just by looking at the data from environmental sensors or triggers today compared to last year.
Unlike Homewards, which can measure success by monitoring data on homeless populations today compared to last year.
Unlike the Prince’s/King’s Trust, which can measure success by the number of people given jobs or creating businesses today compared to last year.
Kids don’t grow up from age 3 to age 16 to age 28 overnight. Kate and her teams have to wait years to measure whether their projects have had any real success. All they can do in the meantime is make small adjustments based on research already developed. Of course it’s going to be slow. Of course it’s going to look different than what anyone else is doing. Of course it’s going to look lazy…but it only looks lazy if you don’t know how research foundations work or looked into what Kate’s actually doing with the Early Years, which I’m guessing you don’t know and didn’t do.
You are exactly the kind of anon I was thinking about when I edited that post to clarify my response. Unluckily, your ask came in while I was editing. But anyway, I’ll direct you back to that post to answer your actual question.

Fear Not This Night - 141 x f!reader poly - Being part of the 141 pack meant you watched out for your boys, always. As their medic, it meant you sometimes flew into danger for them. When someone uses that knowledge against you to separate you from your pack, you pay the price.
Let the Sparks Fly - Simon "Ghost" Riley x f!reader - You meet one of your neighbors in the elevator, and a storm knocks out the power at the worst possible time. At least your neighbor is nice.

Roasting By An Open Fire - Simon "Ghost" Riley x f!reader - You and Simon have a quiet night in. Some teasing and banter turn into something more. SMUT.

Series
Fall Into Me - Fem!OC x various - After the betrayals and the lies, TF141 and certain members of Los Vaqueros start up a private security business and settle down. There’s a lovely coffee shop on the ground floor of the office building they’re in, and it doesn’t take long for bonds to start forming between them and the owner, Rose.
Listening In - Johnny "Soap" MacTavish x Simon "Ghost" Riley x f!reader - Soap has to work undercover at a restaurant to get info on a target, and meets a waitress he enjoys flustering. He immediately decides he wants to share her with Ghost. Four part mini series, porn then feelings.
Homeward Bound - Simon Riley x f!reader - dragonriders au - As the caretaker of the hatching grounds, you have dealt with almost every rider in the nation. None of them are like Simon Riley. Unfortunately for you, the wyverns of the south aren't letting you get to know him, either.
The Light - Simon Riley x f!reader - A loose fit domestic series, mostly fluff.
Fast Car - parts one, two, three - Simon "Ghost" Riley x f!reader - You can't believe your luck when you find what looks like a functional car, an excellent way to repair your own car. Turns out you were right not to trust your luck. The truck has owners, and those owners are not happy to find you rummaging around. Oops?

WIP WEDNESDAY!
“You’re telling me this guy is Freezer’s brother and that he abducted Trunks? He literally took my son into his spaceship and left Earth with him?” she asks. “It appears so,” Piccolo adds and steps closer. “Most of the fighting that happened seems to have served as a distraction. We were scattered and each paying attention to our own fights. Thus, he was able to injure Gohan and Vegeta, who are the strongest fighters among us. Then he took Trunks.” “And you let his horned clowns toy with you!” Vegeta hisses in Gohan’s direction, looking ready to attack anyone he considers at fault. “You let that Cooler get away too!” Gohan argues back. “Didn’t you say you had this fight covered? Besides, none of us were ready for an attack!” “You sure aren’t ready for any kind of attack, look at you! You’ve gotten weak!” Bulma can see that this accusation stings. Gohan’s hair rises dangerously. “And you were ready? Is that why you were fighting in your underwear?!” “SHUT UP!” Bulma shouts before the two can go full Saiyan and fight this out with their fists. She can already see Vegeta getting ready to explode. Her satisfaction about both of them obeying is fleeting considering the circumstances. “Can you pull yourself together and focus on the actual matter at hand? You know, the fact that Trunks was abducted by a freakish alien who’s probably out for revenge because we wiped out his family?” “Sorry.” At least Gohan had the decency to look contrite. Vegeta is still visibly seething. “Focus on it, how? Do you have a plan? I don’t suppose you have a spaceship at the ready?” Bulma flashes her teeth. “I do.” Every head turns to her. Shrugging, she points at workshop #4. “I worked on it during downtime to relax. It’s based on the Namekian spaceship we used to get to Namek, and on Goku’s. It’s been done for over a year, actually. Since then I’ve mostly tinkered with the details.” The look Vegeta gives her is something Bulma will come back to at a later point, when Trunks is home safely and they’re both alone in their bedroom. “I can get it ready for launch within 20 hours.

The Wales Family in 2023 ♛
So, coronations are less fun than I thought they'd be. Despite that, the coronation gave me some incredibly fun moments, from the Wales family volunteering together to the walkabout on The Mall, from seeing various royal families interacting (including besties Kate and Felipe!) to seeing the Princess of Wales on coronation day itself! In fact, we saw a lot of royal family interaction this year - William and Catherine travelled to Jordan for the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein to Rajwa al Saif, they hosted both the Crown Princely couple of Norway and the Crown Princess couple of Sweden at Windsor Castle, and long-time best buds Catherine and Felipe reunited at the Wimbledon Gentleman's Finals. Sport was another highlight of the year, with the Wales family attending rugby matches (x, x, x), tennis tournaments (x, x, x) and even appearing on a sporting podcast! Both William and Catherine gained several military positions during the year (x, x, x) and have had a go at driving armoured tanks. As well as working with their patronages, William and Catherine have been able to support their own interests. William has continued to promote the Earthshot Prize, and also started Homewards, an anti-homelessness initiative. Catherine, meanwhile, launched the next phase of her early years work with Shaping Us. And in a twist expected by no one, the Princess of Wales finally debuted the Strathmore Rose Tiara. On a personal level, William and Catherine gained a new nephew - little Inigo Middleton - as James and Alizee Middleton welcomed their first child. Next year, I am asking anyone who is listening for a week-long tour (or two!) because they have been sorely lacking this year! If not, I'd love to see William and Catherine continue to flourish in their new roles as Prince and Princess of Wales.

“The right wing have twisted the family into something they’re not to fit their “anti woke” agenda. They’re not supposed to care about climate change, Muslims, the homeless, migrants etc. Those are “woke” causes, something only undesirables like Harry and Meghan should be concerned about. Nevertheless, time and time again the BRF prove them wrong. William created Earthshot and the Homewards, Charles has been fighting climate change since before it was popular and is vocal about his dislike for the Rwanda policy, Kate unashamedly wore a hijab to visit a Muslim centre etc. Seeing the Twitter meltdown because Charles launched a Climate Clock with Sadiq Khan really makes you realise how a lot of these people don’t know the first thing about the members, they just see an ancient institution that they can project their own bigotry onto.” - Submitted by Anonymous

HoB - what are your thoughts on William’s project? I don’t think it’s lived up to the hype or needed all the over the top promotion it was given before the launch. The Royal Foundation is essentially donating money to existing organizations. Surely they may trial a few different things to address root cause of homelessness but he’s not bringing anything fundamentally new to frame this as “his life’s work”.
It feels like it’s a vehicle in the same way Harry’s court cases and public whingefests are to him - an opportunity to lay claim to being the true son of Diana but to do so publicly in a way that’s “organic”. She really did not need to be cast as centrally to this campaign as she has been imho.
And his talking points reinforce the pitfall of hiring a US PR guru who is going to promote you like a reality TV starlet. When William stands up and says “homelessness shouldn’t exist in a modern, progressive society”, the immediate clapback from Republicans or detractors will be “well neither should monarchy”. That line may sound good if you’re a Kardashian but not so much if you’re a Royal & future Monarch.
What’s your thoughts? Did it live up to the hype for you?
After thinking about this for a few weeks, it has to be one of the most overhyped projects I've ever seen in my life.
Seriously.
The nuts & bolts of Homewards is perfectly fine--getting existing organizations to work together for a common goal. However, there was too much PR in the rollout about "ending homelessness." Sure, it's a great goal to have. Yet, five years from now, homelessness may not even be ended in the communities where Homewards is running and probably won't be.
If homelessness isn't significantly curtailed or ended by 2028 in those areas, the UK press is going to hop on that note and label it a "failure." A "failure" because the described end goal from the get-go was "ending homelessness," not working together to build a better process for charities and people dealing with homelessness. William talked about "ending homelessness" multiple times in the Homewards campaign rollout.
At least with the Earthshot Prize award scheme, I can understand having a PR campaign that overhypes the reach and scope of the project. With Earthshot, they need to build awareness on global scale, so that they can have enough people, projects, and communities willing enough to submit and participate in the process.
No such need exists with Homewards because the organizations already exist within their communities in the UK.
