Thank you @sickness-health-all-that-shit and @galladrabbles for another great prompt! I had a good few days of not being able to write so I was very excited to get into this one.

“What the fuck is so funny?” Mickey’s tinny voice echoes around their sparsely decorated bedroom through Ian’s shitty phone speakers. “I’m being fuckin’ serious, Ian.”

That’s the sweetest part, he is being serious; not one whole day across state lines for work and he’s calling Ian up in a panic about his weird, sudden symptoms. Ian does his best to pull himself together to deliver the diagnosis.

“You’re not dying, you’re homesick.”

Despite Mickey’s splutters of indignation and denial, Ian can’t deny the warm swell of affection that bubbles up in his chest.

Because the hyperfixation has officially returned with a vengeance. I have three (3) ongoing hyperfixations help. Also I find this whole thing hilarious and must drag more mutuals down the rabbit hole (I’ve been here since Spring 22 I think?)

You know that feeling you get when you revisit a fandom you loved years ago and get that nostalgic feeling when you read old fics or look at old fanart and remember those golden times?

And then there's the feeling you get when you come across a fandom that you missed out on or never really knew about until now and you read those old fics imagining what the golden times must have been like...

oou! good question!

yes! that is definitely a scenario i would like to explore in the fic when i get to it. also why i want to write the fic with multiple different Y/Ns so we can explore different experiences and relationships with food

there is a "main Y/N" who is a glutton who likes to try anything and everything. i haven't done the research for it so i can't say whether or not they have an eating disorder, but they DO have an unhealthy relationship with food as a result of being shamed for their appetite. so that, coupled with their job that emphasizes appearances and first impressions, they eat smaller meals, seemingly healthier meals, safe meals. but when they're alone at the restaurant with the DCA boys, without having to worry about who sees them or how much they eat, they're able to enjoy their food openly and honour their body's cravings.
