How to Make Gujarati Dhokla: A Step-by-Step Guide

Gujarati Dhokla is a fluffy, savory snack made from gram flour. Begin by combining 1 cup of besan, a pinch of turmeric, and salt. Gradually add water to create a thick batter, and stir in 1 teaspoon of ginger-chili paste. Let the batter rest for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, grease a dish and heat water in your steamer. Stir in 1 teaspoon of Eno (fruit salt) just before cooking to make the batter rise. Pour the mixture into the dish and steam for 20 minutes. Once done, temper with mustard seeds, sesame seeds, green chilies, and curry leaves. Serve with chutney.

Grease the container and add dhokla batter into the container, spread some black and red chilli powder. Steam it for 10 to 15 minutes Cut the dhoklas into pieces and a chowk on top of it. For chowk preparation - Take two spoon of oil add mustard seed, curry leaves, green chillis, sesame seeds, jeera, red chilli powder. The dhoklas are ready!
