The estimated Homeless population in the United States for 2022 was 582'000 people.
582,000 people!!! In the richest country in the history of the human race!

And yet, Biden and Democrats will do absolutely NOTHING about it. They have done nothing, and will do nothing. They'll barely even acknowledge the problem.
Don't support these two Capitalist, corrupt Parties.

There should be housing for all.
Making someone's only form of shelter illegal is bullshit.
Not housing them in the first place is the bigger bullshit.

I hate homeless people in Oregon. You'd think the people who are known as tree huggers wouldn't let littering slide, bit apparently not, because these guys fucking EXCEL at it!!!
And I get the argument those guys are in a bad situation and have a hard time getting out- blah blah blah, but NONE of the explains why they have to leave garbage fucking EVERYWHERE when, most often, there's a dumpster or garbage can FIVE FEET AWAY. And it shouldn't matter whether it's on private property or not, because often times they just riffle through that dumpster, and you can always tell by the fact the contents of said dumpsters are, not, on the ground around it.
I wouldn't even give a shit, and might even care about homeless people if they just fucking, maybe, cleaned the fuck up after themselves!!!
And of course, that can't be where they stop, oh no. They also have to steal THOUSANDS of cars and take then apart. Are they trying to make more people homeless or fucking something??? Cars cost money assholes! And it's practically impossible to live in America without one, even with public transportation at our disposal!!!
And you might think I'm exaggerating the car number, but I really am not! Search up about police searching through homeless camps in Oregon and you'll probably find all about how there's hundreds of cars in each camp that they find, so thousands isn't really far off.
Another thing is that they ruin it for actually GOOD dumpster divers, the ones who actually even clean up a bit when they see a mess, the ones who leave easily when asked, the ones who at least have cars and don't leave theirs' and others' trash fucking everywhere. How are they ruining it for these people? Well, since 'homeless' people, who often have fucking trailers which I'd count ad a home, just a portable one, have been such an issue, they've started locking up their garbage. Hear that? Ever though about PUTTING A LOCK ON YOUR FUCKING TRASH.
My family doesn't even usually call them homeless, we usually call them drug heads because that's why they are here in the first place. They moves here cuz weed's legal, and so they have every right to fucking use it, and then probably sell anything else they fucking want.
I REALLY wish our homeless population was like most other places. People in bad situations who are trying and need to get out of them. But no homeless program will work if the homeless don't want to stop being, 'the homeless'.

A solution to the homeless problem
Use these giant, empty churches FOR something the other 6 days a week.
I live in the Deep South—the “Bible Belt” as some call it.  One of our quirks? We’re surrounded by churches.  By most estimates, there are more than 9,100 in this state. That’s one church for every 330 Mississippians. Many of them are huge. But what I’ve never understood is why they’re so big for seemingly no reason.  They take up massive tracts of land. The enormous buildings themselves cost…

The way that some people treat and take advantage of homeless people is one of the most disgusting things. Homeless people are already struggling and probably going through hell! Don't make things worse by pretending to give them money for your stupid prank videos, don't shame them from not looking clean, don't film them so you can profit off it, don't treat homeless people like their the scum of the Earth.

Only twelve states have average rents below $1000 monthly, and they are the areas with the lowest population density. Affordable housing needs to exist where people live, and it goes hand in hand with a living wage and better quality of housing.

Too often, people believe homelessness is due to some type of character flaw. In reality, that’s not even close. The top causes being…
1. A lack of affordable housing
2. Unemployment
3. Poverty
4. Low wages

There are now multiple U.S. librarians on anneemay's post trying to justify xenophobic red lining of knowledge
Because non-residents getting u.s. library cards would cost the libraries money to license libby and hoopla.
And that conservatives *might* use it as an excuse to cut fundings because they hate non-americans.
Anything "reasonable" as a worry can be used to justify the status quo.
Preemptively doing the job for the bigots, even.
No solidarity, no compassion?

One takeaway after my very short time volunteering with people who have recently been homeless, is that you would be shocked how many are veterans.

I hate having poor socioeconomic status I hate not being able to do things I hate having to cut back on nice things or fun things because they'd be too expensive I hate putting off paying for things that would improve my life because anything more than 50 dollars on one item doesn't feel justified when spending 50 bucks every once in a while on things that aren't even necessary or useful shouldn't even be something I have to think twice about I hate looking at a grocery bill and having to dread having to pay for groceries again I hate feeling guilty for treating myself to a nice drink or snack or meal out because I could've had a more cost efficient meal and donated the rest to someone who needed it I hate not being able to help people out and spot up to even just 50 a month max to people in worse situations than me because I'm already skimping on myself to make it last longer I hate having to feel guilty for buying some extra food item or fun trinket or plush for myself every once in a while because if I'm not putting that towards food or some other necessity then I should be giving it to someone who needs it more when I should be able to do ALL of that together without it making a huge difference to my finances and if it didn't make a difference then I wouldn't even need to feel guilty I hate it here and I hate this fucking economy and I hate barely being at a functional enough level to do my schooling let alone have a job on top of it I should be able to do both but I CAN'T I can't even work if I also want to finish my education but then i shouldn't buy treats for myself if I'm not even actively making a paycheck right I should just spend it all on absolute necessities and giving to people who are literally in danger or homeless right maybe if the rich would pick up some of that so it doesn't fall on people like ME who just want to be able to have a few nice things and also enough food to eat and a place to stay that isn't literally falling apart or tiny as fuck or in the middle of nowhere I just want to be able to even COMMUTE to places but even that's either expensive inconvenient or BOTH I hate this fucking country I want to help other people but I can't even help myself and I can't even indulge in such small joys to make it bearable without feeling guilty over it because there's someone out there who probably needed that money more why should I have to feel guilty when there are literally so many rich people who can't even be assed to spare even 2% of the money they aren't even using I just want to be able to buy up to $300 worth of groceries in a month and still be able to do other things sometimes and have enough to spare if someone needs it FUCK

i hate the term unhoused. it just seems like a way for middle class liberals to sanitize the situation or distance themself from the 'gross poor folk'. like they think unhoused sounds a lot cleaner than homeless...

Fontaine Simps and the Last Week on Twitter:
How can Fontaine...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...not be the richest of all the nations when this is its competition?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Conveniently zoomed out shots of Fontaine and then super zoomed in shots of the most dilapidated buildings in the other nations. Ignoring how Fontaine is literally crumbling into the sea around it.
So, let's use fair pictures to compare.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meanwhile... half of Fontaine's population lives here...
Tumblr media
and here...
Tumblr media
...because of their shitty justice system, polluted waters, dying ecosystem, and energy crisis have all ruined so many lives.
Fontaine is great, but these dumbass comparisons are always poorly represented.

"strongest economy" is basically always a misnomer because that concept arose within a capitalist context and refers to economic size and growth, not the economic status of the bulk of its citizens. even looking at per capita numbers is misleading, ESPECIALLY in a nation with significant economic inequality, and if a nation is economically "strong," be assured there's a lot of inequality at play (literally intrinsic to capitalism). it is hilarious to consider oneself left-wing and not know this. sorry for being mean
