Joey richter deserves so much praise for how many expressions he makes during time bastard I’m convinced he’s a cartoon character at this point.
Like, seriously! He’s the perfect expression study. Needing to study expression? Just open YouTube. Open up time bastard, pause, and skip and there’s a new expression there.

Knowing “Nerdy Prudes Must Die” was the first idea the Lang brothers had for Hatchetfield makes the whole series so much funnier.
Like, did they know in “The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals” that the weirdo who demanded a hot chocolate would be the leading man of the high school horror show?
Did they know the prude they mentioned a few times would be a homophobic murderer who defiled a corpse, fucked a ghost, and became a vessel for dark lords?
Was the homeless man joke in BEFORE the recast because they were still brothers, or not?
#nerdy prudes must die#the guy who didn't like musicals#hatchetfield#team starkid#starkid#for those who didn’t put it together#the hot chocolate boy in TGWDLM is supposed to be Peter Spankoffski#but was recast after Robert Manion got put on hold for a while after a scandal then seemingly decided to go full burned bridges with them#also as a side note#that ‘obnoxious teen’ was also supposed to be the ticket taker in Black Friday but was rewritten to be a Joey character#because Robert Manion was going to be playing Ethan Green in the same scene against him#and then the ticket taker was going to be Richie Lipschitz in NPMD#but then Joey Richter was chosen to take over as Pete#so Ritchie was separated off and given to Jon Matteson#so the ticket taker went from being a Pete cameo to a Ritchie cameo to just an entirely unrelated character#I feel like I know too many behind the scenes details about these shows just through TVTropes#also does this technically mean Ritchie’s death is kind of sort of a way for the Langs to kill a Robert character again even after he left?#oh and the homeless man was Ted the whole time#nightmare time is a trip

Rewriting Bad Cinema: Ralph Breaks the Internet (WIR 2)
Okay, so I’m bored and have no idea what to post and I’ve had this idea in my head for a while so welcome to a new series thingy I’m going to do on my account called “Rewriting Bad Cinema” where I go and rewrite bad movies and sequels to something better.
Disclaimer: This is just for fun and not to be taken seriously, this is just my what if takes on how to change a piece of media. Please do not take any of what I say seriously. :)
Warning: This post contains spoilers for both Wreck It Ralph 1 and Ralph Breaks the Internet. If you would like to experience any of these movies yourself without spoilers, please go watch them and then come back here!
For this first installment of Rewriting Bad Media, we are going to be taking a look at Wreck It Ralph 2!
More under cut
For Rewriting Bad Cinema, we're first going to establish the movie's plot, establish its problems that make it bad, and then come up with a way to rewrite the movie that remedies most of the problems as best as possible including removal of some elements, restructuring of the plot, and adding to it.
What's the original plot of the movie?
Wreck It Ralph 2 is a 2018 film released by Disney. In WIR 2, the steering wheel for Sugar Rush is broken in an accident after Vanellope goes against the player’s controls and drives on a bonus track Ralph constructed for her. Litwak attempts to fix the game but is unsuccessful and ends up breaking the steering wheel even more, and after the search for a replacement wheel is unsuccessful, Litwak unplugs the game. This causes all the Sugar Rush citizens to become homeless. This causes Ralph and Vanellope to hatch a plan to go to the internet and find a new steering wheel before Sugar Rush is taken out of the arcade for good. Hijinks and brand placement happens and in the end, Sugar Rush is repaired, the citizens are no longer homeless, and Vanellope ends up staying in a new game on the internet called Slaughter Race.
What are the main problems?
Wreck It Ralph 2 is majorly considered a bad film because of:
Too many brands: WIR 2 is mostly criticized on how often it focuses on brands and cameos. In the first movie, most brands and IPs such as Sonic, Mario, Pac-Man, etc, were placed there as tributes to gaming and the culture that surrounds it. Most of the brands were limited to gaming brands, which made it feel more thought out and less like a cash grab. The brands also had an impact on the movie and its plot and world building. In WIR 2, there is no limitation on the brands represented. The movie includes a whole mess of brands from social media platforms to stuff from the Disney company. This made these additions feel soulless and worthless. The brands also had little impact on the plot and its world building, making them feel more worthless.
Mischaracterization of Characters: WIR 2 is often criticized for how much it mischaracterizes Ralph and Vanellope. For Ralph, it mischaracterizes him into a needy, insecure guy even after he completed a character arc for the same thing in the first movie. For Vanellope, it mischaracterizes her into a selfish person and makes her act a lot like the first movie's villain, Turbo.
No Mention of Past Events: WIR 2 is often criticized for how it just ignores a lot about the original movie. There are barely any mentions of the first movie at all, not even the original villain, Turbo, is mentioned. The only thing that is mentioned is the medal that Vanellope made Ralph in the first movie.
No Use of Other Characters: WIR 2 is also criticized for how little it uses any of the characters from the first movie with Ralph and Vanellope being the only two who are focused on throughout the entire movie. Felix and Calhoun, the other two MAIN characters from WIR 1 seem to have a B-plot in the first part of the movie, but are eventually totally forgotten about and their plot wraps up entirely in the background.
My proposal for a rewrite
Wreck it Ralph 2, in my opinion, is not really a needed sequel. I believe this because of how well the first movie wraps up any lose ends with its ending. However, if I were to write a sequel to Wreck It Ralph, this is most likely how I would handle it.
Removals and Restructuring
First of all, let's just get rid of the internet world entirely. The internet world as a concept was pretty cool, but in execution, there's not really a good way to have the internet world and not have a lot of the brands without it being really confusing. The internet will still be a thing as it seems like a really natural way for the movie's plot to go, but the internet world will not play a factor into the movie's plot.
One thing I kind of liked from the original WIR 2 was the beginning segment before any of the main plot gets started. If you ignore the small bits of mischaracterization from Ralph and Vanellope, it's a nice little opener and establishes what the two have been up to since the first movie pretty well. So, we are going to be bringing that segment with us to the rewrite with a few writing tweaks to recharacterize Ralph and Vanellope into how they were at the end of the movie. Let's also add Felix and Calhoun into this segment to catch up with how they've been doing since the first movie. This slice of life segment will help establish our characters as well as establishing the world for any new viewers who may have not seen the first movie.
Main Plot Proposal
Since we've gotten rid of the entire internet world which was the main premise of the film, the plot is going to need an entire overhaul. So, first, let's change the main focus of the film. In the original Wreck It Ralph 1, Ralph's struggle with his identity and self worth was the main focus of the film and that carries over to the second film with the sequel focusing more on Ralph than Vanellope. For the rewrite, the story is going to be focusing on Vanellope and diving into her character more. For the rewrite, I think it would be interesting to dive into Turbo and the effects his actions have on the cast specifically Vanellope. This would let the movie have a nice message about coming to terms with your trauma and not letting it control you. The catalyst for this? Bringing back Turbo.
Hear me out. The movie opens. It's been about five-ish years since the events of the first, and Vanellope has a problem. Even after everything has been reset and she finally has her life together, she just can't seem to move on from the trauma that Turbo/King Candy has caused her over the 15 years of his reign. She seems to flinch at the mere mention of his name and gets uncomfortable and upset when confronted with anything that resembles him. Ralph, Felix, and Calhoun try to help her with it in their own ways, but since she's a kid, Vanellope doesn't really have the tools required for dealing with her feelings. The day the movie opens up, Ralph, Calhoun, Felix, and Vanellope are all hanging out around the arcade to try to help Vanellope feel better. The four are all hanging out in the power strip when people start gathering around an outlet, finding that a new game is being plugged in. The four go over to investigate, and find that the new game being plugged in is Turbotime Remastered.
Turbotime Remastered Backstory and Aftermath of the Plugging In
Around a decade and a half after Turbotime was released a remastered version of it was created with upgraded graphics, more tracks, a bigger cast of playable characters, and more. Mr. Litwak, being a big fan of the original Turbotime, always dreamed of being able to buy the remaster for the arcade and after not being able to afford it for so long, he has finally managed to safe up enough funds to buy the cabinet. The day the cabinet arrived, Litwak immediately had it plugged in, placing the console right next to Sugar Rush. Meanwhile, in the power strip, all hell has broken loose. Everyone is freaking out about the game being plugged in, especially Vanellope, who is just unconsolable. Before anyone can process anything, a group of people step out into the power strip. In the front center of this group stands Turbo, however, this Turbo is much different from how everyone remembers him. Instead of being this evil asshole, this Turbo is chipper and kind. Turbo excitedly introduces his friends to the power strip, walking to every single person, and eventually getting to the main four. Turbo tries to introduce himself to the four but Vanellope starts freaking out, causing Calhoun and Ralph to get defensive. Felix manages to deescalate the situation before it gets too out of hand and awkwardly apologizes and excuses the group. The group discusses the situation in secret with Vanellope being silent the whole time. They don't really have the time to process anything however, as the arcade is about to open, causing them to all have to go their separate ways.
That day after the arcade closes, Vanellope leaves her game to meet up with the others and ends up bumping into Turbo again. Vanellope starts to freak out again but Turbo doesn't really seem fazed. He helps Vanellope up and introduces himself again. Vanellope introduces herself to Turbo and the two get to talking a little. Vanellope finds out that Turbo has no recollection of any of the events from the years past, no recollection of the Road Blasters event, no recollection of his takeover of Sugar Rush, no recollection of the race and CyBug takeover, nothing. Eventually, Turbo and Vanellope end up going their separate ways with Vanellope going off and joining her group while Turbo heads to explore the arcade with his group.
Plot Throughout the Movie
Throughout the movie, Vanellope and Turbo start talking and hanging out more, eventually forming somewhat of a friendship. Throughout their time together, Vanellope starts telling Turbo about her past experiences with him but doesn't tell him he was the one who caused everything. Turbo responds to this very supportingly, telling her that it wasn't her fault that any of that happened to her. Throughout the rest of the plot, Vanellope ends up refinding herself and starts to move on from her trauma.
B-Plot Revisions
Another thing I really liked from the original Wreck It Ralph 2 was the little snippets of the B-plot with Felix, Calhoun, and the Sugar Rush racers. I'm a sucker for unconventional found family, so I love the small snippets of the B-plot in WIR 2, so I want to carry it over to the rewrite. Now, Turbo being back isn't only going to really affect Vanellope, but it's also going to affect the other Sugar Rush racers as his actions majorly affected them as well. So, for the B-plot, Felix and Calhoun would act as adoptive parents to the Sugar Rush racers, helping them conquer their fears and move on. This plot would happen over the span of the movie and finish before the ending climax in a few shorter scenes. The B-plot would probably get as much screen time as WIR 1's B-plot.
As for Ralph, he would act as Vanellope's support/wingman throughout the movie and a mediator between her and Turbo while she interacts with him and his group. The movie wouldn't focus on him as much as Vanellope since his character arc has mostly concluded nicely in the first movie but he would still get a decent amount of screen time since his relationship with Vanellope is an important part of both his and Vanellope's characters.
Story Additions: Lore of Turbotime Remastered
Turbotime Remastered consists of 6 total characters all complete with a special gimmick that would give each character an advantage and disadvantage in a race. Of course, there's Turbo. He acts as a kind of leader of the group. His gimmick is bug themed and would give him the advantage of being speedy and the disadvantage of not being very durable. Then, there would be Avery, the moral support of the group. Avery would have a land animal gimmick, which would give her the advantage of stealth, but the disadvantage of slower recovery. The next character would be Rocket, the brains of the group. Rocket would have a robot gimmick which would give him the advantage of being very durable but the disadvantage of being the slowest. The next character would be Ivy, the healer of the group. Ivy would have a plant gimmick which would give her the advantage of quick recovery, but the disadvantage of not being very stealthy. The next character would be Quinn, the wildcard of the group. Quinn would have a clown gimmick which would give her the advantage of evading, but the disadvantage of unpredictablilty. The last character would be Deino, the brawn of the group. Deino would have a dinosaur gimmick which would give him the advantage of strength but the disadvantage of speed.
Another addition to Turbo Remastered are the new racing tracks, each being themed to a certain character. For Turbo's map, his would be an updated version of his original map with more variety and turns added to the donut. Avery's map would follow her animal theme and consist of four different quarters each themed to a major habitat that animals live in. Rocket's map would be machine themed, featuring a bunch of robots and machines. Ivy's map would be plant themed, featuring a bunch of different plants. Quinn's map would be circus themed, featuring a three section race through a circus performance. Deino's map would be dinosaur themed, featuring a sectioned race where each section takes place in a period of dinosaur time. These tracks would act as the character's home and place of residence.
In the coded backstory, Turbo met his friends while adventuring and the six ended up forming a somewhat family type of bond with each other. The group all has there counter opposites, with Turbo countering Rocket, and Avery countering Ivy and Deino. Quinn, being the wildcard, would be the odd one out, not having any counters to anyone. Despite their differences, the six all have sincere friendships with each other.
Ending of Wreck It Ralph 2 Rewrite
There are multiple ways for this ending to go. One way is to give new Turbo all the memories of old Turbo and causing Turbo to go mad and try to take over the arcade. This would split off into two possible endings of Turbo either being totally defeated like before and Turbotime Remastered being unplugged, or Turbo being redeemed and making up for all his past mistakes. I'm not going to be going down that route however, as I feel like both endings would be a little too cliche and predictable. The unplugging ending would also probably get rid of a lot of character development that the movie had built up. So, instead, let's do an ending like this:
After Turbo, Vanellope, and Ralph are done hanging out for the day, Turbo is confronted by Avery. Avery spills the beans on how everything Vanellope has been telling Turbo about is about him and starts manipulating him into believing that Vanellope hates him. This makes Turbo angry since he was starting to believe he and Vanellope were friends, and he agrees to help Avery and the others get "revenge". After the arcade closes, the Turbotime Racers invade and take over Sugar Rush, leading the Sugar Rush Racers to have to defeat the Turbotime Racers with the help of Felix, Calhoun, and Ralph before the arcade opens or they will have both Turbotime Remastered and Sugar Rush unplugged.
In the final confrontation, Turbo and Vanellope meet face to face. Vanellope ends up confessing to Turbo that yes, she was scared of him at first but now she's ready to accept that he isn't the same person anymore, and his past actions don't have to affect her anymore. Turbo and Vanellope make up, causing Avery to lash out, leading to a final showdown of some sorts and Avery's redemption. In the end, Avery admits she was jealous of how close Turbo and Vanellope were getting and she was scared of being abandoned. Avery's redeemed and everything goes back to normal.
Story Conclusion
In the end, Vanellope realizes her feelings about the past don't have to define her and she's able to move on and heal from her trauma and live her life free of fear, Turbo doesn't gain any of old Turbo's memories, he realizes that he is a different person from old Turbo and movs on to create his own identity, separate from his old self, The Sugar Rush Racers are adopted by Calhoun and Felix and get over their fears, Ralph continues to be supportive of Vanellope, and The Turbotime Racers learn to not be easily jealous. In the end, Turbotime Remastered stays plugged in, and Turbo and Vanellope's friendship goes back to normal.
TL;DR of the Rewrite's Plot
The trauma from Turbo/King Candy's actions have heavily affected Vanellope to the point its difficult for her to move past it, but when a remaster of Turbo's game, Turbotime, is plugged in, Vanellope is forced to come to terms with her trauma and reconcile her feelings about it with the man behind it all.
Conclusion
Okay, that's all! This was a long one, so if you made it all the way here, thanks for reading! I'm probably not going to do anything with this since this was just a fun little writing exercise, but if you would like to make it into a fanfiction of some sorts or something then feel free to take this idea and credit me! I'm most likely going to do more of these so look out for that! Anyway, thanks again for reading and have a nice day :)

Workin' Boys: A New Theory
So, I’ve changed my mind.
A while back I wrote this theory, and while I do still think there is some truth to the theory that Hidgens began to have his apotheosis once he touched the blue goo, I think there is more to the story.
Note, the below contains one mild spoiler for NPMD. Mild only in that I will briefly reference one character without any context added. Feel free to skip this theory if you wish, or come back to it post 13th October to see how much I got wrong!!
Great Scott! It’s a Workin Boys theory!
The world will be blessed with Workin Boys next week, and I know not everyone will get to watch it, but it’s safe to say there will be things we learn from the show that will either answer some of our never ending questions, or give us more to puzzle over. The latter being the one I’m expecting if I’m honest, afterall, this is Hatchetfield.
And to be honest, we’ve not been given much to work on. The trailer and synopsis are both pretty short, we’ve had a sprinkling of facts and figures over the last couple of years, and a few Hidgens cameos, so this isn’t really a theory of what I think will be the storyline, but rather an attempt to predict some of the themes and potential lore implications that might arise.
Also for reference, a good portion of the info used in this theory has come from these two wonderful compendiums of Hatchetfield knowledge:
@gone-to-oregone's wonderful Everything is Connected doc
@abiimaryy's amazing Hatchetfield Lore Doc
The Stage is Set
Professor Henry Hidgens and Doctor Emmett Brown have a lot in common. They’re eccentric, they’re clever, and they both had a vision of something world changing due to an accident they had 30 years ago.
For Henry, this doesn’t result in any fun 50s hijinks, but rather he gets struck by lightning in 1988 and predicts the world ending by musical apotheosis. Super specific, honestly. But what is important is that date.
Hidgens didn’t predict the events of TGWDLM after 2005, but rather before. If this had happened to him after 2005 we could easily put the lightning strike down to an event unique to the TGWDLM timeline only. However, his accident happened way before 2005, way before the timelines split. So just as Ted must be the Homeless Guy in every single Hatchetfield timeline, Hidgens must also be expecting a musical apocalypse in every timeline.
This must also include Working Boys, whatever timeline that ends up being in. In Workin Boys, Hidgens would be under the impression that at some point soon, a musical apocalypse is about to happen. So what does that have to do with said musical-within-a-musical?
Here come the LiB
It’s pretty safe to say Pokey is heavily influencing whatever happens in Workin Boys. First of all, its a musical so it was going to be a safe bet. But judging by the trailer, we’ve got multiple references to our fave goo gremlin. The blue light shining on Henry, multiple voices calling him in a Singular Voice, and Joey’s jumpscare where he looks like Pokey incarnate.
Who Joey is in that small clip is anyone’s guess. I’ve seen a few theories floating about, including Chad, Mathias Waylon, and Pokey himself. Honestly, I’m not sure, but what is important is how he looks. Whoever this fella is, he’s got a blue hue, a cracked face, and ooze dripping down his chin. If he’s not Pokey, he’s someone who has been Pokey-fied.
And this link was always going to make sense. Workin Boys has had its biggest show stopping moment in Pokey’s timeline.
But what if Workin Boys was created, because and for Pokey.
In TGWDLM, we get a whole scene of our cast of characters witnessing the meteor coming through the clouds. Our cast of characters are busy going about their evening, finishing work, wondering what is coming through the clouds. Notably, Paul is on his way home, from his work, in the business world. Paul doesn’t strike me as someone who stays late at work, so it’s safe to say that the meteor hit the Earth’s atmosphere around.. 5 O’clock?
This is Pokey’s Workin Boys now
Let’s go back to that incident with the lightning strike. Henry was hit by lightning and predicted the apocalypse. I’ve referenced in a few theories (1 & 2) that I think lightning is more than just the LiB’s motif. It’s the strike of inspiration, of interference, of the Lords in Black in the real world. The Black Book contains references to lightning, we see a crack of lightning across each Hatchetfield show title, when the meteor crashes at the Starlight lightning is flashing through the sky.
Something to shock em, to bring them a crawling, a big time box office draw
When Henry was hit by lightning, he didn’t just see the potential musical end times. But he was also given Workin Boys - or at least, he was given his inspiration. Workin Boys was always written for Pokey. It’s Hidgen’s story, yes, but the musical itself is for our blue boy. It was a pre-destined self-destruction.
The musical Hidgens writes tells us the 5 O’Clock can’t come soon enough because in one timeline, that is when the meteor will strike. This is why he is trying so hard to fund the show in every timeline, because in one timeline he needs to put it on stage for whatever Pokey has planned. Whatever Pokey requires half of Hatchetfield to be in attendance for.
Prof. H and Miss H?
I’ll be honest, and apologies in advance. I don’t think Miss Holloway is alive in the Workin Boys timeline.
We were told following NMT2’s release (via Jim Povolo’s watch series) that the Black Book we see in Killer Track was created for Workin Boys, which means providing things haven’t changed we should see the book. If that’s the case, then Miss H doesn’t have it. It’s possible that Hidgens somehow gets hold of the book, and when the show of his dreams doesn’t look to be going the way he expected - he does what Thrash told everyone he did - he sold his soul to the devil. Or, well, to the Black and White.
As to when he gets the Black Book - who knows - but all I’ll say is it’s very interesting that Miss H is our 80s queen, and Hidgen’s divine inspiration also occurred in the 80s.
Encore
Well, that’s the main theory. But we’ve got time for one last little theory that’s very loosely based on nothing.
Workin Boys: A New Musical, is based on Hidgens’ friends from college - old college chums in a beat up old house. Specifically - six of them - not including Henry. I’ve seen a few theories regarding the six workin boys being a stand in for the LiB and Webby. Is this a stretch? Maybe. But it also kind of fits. From odd instances in livestreams and tweets, it’s clear that Henry was not throwing that old pigskin around (specifically in one of Nick’s tweets that there are 7 workin boys, but 6 on the field). Henry isn’t a part of that group. Not fully. So if we do get to meet any of the irl workin boys, I don’t think their dynamic is going to be quite how Hidgen’s pictures it.
Well, if you made it this far please help yourself to some interval ice cream and a show programme. And remember - there’s no exits from this broadway venue.

Saw some character designs for the melody movie created by Justine Krepper on Cargo.
Try searching up Justine Krepper melody and its the first thing that should pop up. If its not discernible, I'll try getting a link. Thought you should take a look.
Oooh these are awesome, thank you!!!
How do you guys find this stuff?
I'll put the link here but also I'll save the art in case it gets taken down
Lots of interesting things here
I remember seeing some of these in the studio tour video but now I can take a good look
I love Sunny's designs, I think I prefer short hair on her
This is adorable
And so are their baby versions
I heard Zag said in one interview something about Melody being homeless which I didn't expect but here we get to see what the sisters' life was like as homeless kids
Strange that they weren't taken in by any orphanage. Wonder what happened to their parents
Looks like Cole was their friend and they were bullied by other kids, and maybe the rich family had some hand in this, or at least didn't discourage it
Both Nina's and Cole's designs are cool btw. I don't see Nina as part of their childhood group though, I thought the character sheet I saw said she was Sunny's childhood friend?
Also. Melody Slug and Billie Eilish bat? I guess Rose turns her competition into animals at some point. (Are they gonna get real Billie Eilish to cameo though?)
Again, thank you for sharing 🙏
I wanted to check out ML concept art too but it's password protected, unfortunately 😔

Idk if you care/already knew but the infinity comic focusing on the newer captain America (I think love unlimited, may have been voices) had a small Tommy (and David) cameo. It was kind of cute and funny but also a little weird. I have so many questions about their relationship that I would love to have answers for (what I wouldn’t give for an arc of that very comic explaining how they got together!)
It's Love Unlimited. The current run is focused on Aaron Fischer, a character who was created for United States of Captain America in 2021. As far as I can tell, this is his first significant storyline since his debut. I'm not really familiar with the character, but I'm enjoying the series so far-- the art's really nice, and Trujillo seems to have found his stride with the vertical format. His Hulkling & Wiccan comics were a huge disappointment, so this is a pleasant surprise.
Anyway, yeah, Tommy and David were in the first episode. They appear in a crowd of LGBT superheroes who turn out of the opening of... some kind of community center? It's not clear. Anyways, Aaron decides to try his luck with some of the guys, and Tommy seems like he's ready to flirt back until David... scolds him like a misbehaving dog.
It's a weird moment, for several reasons. Tommy, as a character, is so often reduced to being hyperactive, goofy, destructive, and horny-- like a flanderized Bart Allen with a bad-boy streak. He barely has any appearances outside of bit-part cameos, so this is like the only treatment he ever receives, and I'm a little tired of it, especially when it comes to his dynamic with David.
I just don't think this sort of non-committal situationship works in comics book. Maybe if they had recurring roles in an ongoing series, they could tease out a slow-burn romance, or even negotiate the particularities of an open relationship. That's not what's happening here, though. There's no momentum, and Tommy only ever shows up the be the butt of the joke. I don't want to get into X-Factor, but I think we can agree that Williams did not do either of these characters any favors, and it was a really poor foundation for their canon relationship.
You want to know what really bothered me in this issue, though? America's conversation with Aaron was super out of character. Why is she being dismissive of a homeless gay kid who chooses to "reclaim" Captain America imagery when that was, like, her whole deal for years-- not to mention the way that she shuts him down because he doesn't have powers. America, your best friend is Hawkeye!!!!
#aaron fischer#love unlimited#america chavez#tommy shepherd#david alleyne#thinkfast#Anthony Oliveira's Young Avengers miniseries is literally the only time Tommy has gotten decent characterization in a decade. A DECADE.

THE OWL HOUSE SEASON 2 HAS CAPTIVATED ME, so here are my reactions/thoughts to episodes 18 and 19
Episode 18: FINALLY MORE GUS TALK!!!! We get so much information about all the other characters I WAS BEGINNING TO THINK MY GUY GUS WAS BEING NEGLECTED!!
His power is so cool, I need more people to be as excited about illusionist magic as me and Gus are! HE LITERALLY CHANGED THE WHOLE SCHOOL AND TRICKED THE HEAD OF ILLUSIONIST COVEN!
Speaking of, the head of the Illusionist Coven being just some wanna be director is fucking hilarious, he is a snob and I hate him with a passion but I want to laugh at him, so much
Gus literally saving all the students at the school too is being SEVERELY looked over right now, like DUDE HE LITERALLY SAVED ALL OF YOU!!!!
All the guards this episode had me in stiches!!! I WANT MORE GUARDS BEING FUNNY IDIOTS!! ESPECIALLY SEVERINE, god, someone get Severine some therapy, like SLAYYY GO BACK TO THE TINY CAT COVEN! GET SOME SELF ESTEEM BACK!
Obviously, i cannot talk about this episode WITHOUT talking about our boy, Hunter.... who was living in the school stage. Listen, I won't judge the guy, he is homeless, his whole life has been thrown upside down, I feel for the guy it was just a surprise! (/lh) ANYWAY, I LOVED THE GUS AND HUNTER FRIENDSHIP GROWTH! From the sharing of the breathing thing (TWICE!!!) and the comforting each other AMAZING
Amity and Willow learning how to be friends again was also an amazing plot line, I love to see how their friendship will expand
Episode 19: THE WEIRD DREAM THING??? AND KING BEING CONNECTED TO THE COLLECTOR?!? Listen, I still don't fully understand who the collector is BUT THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THEY HAVE APPEARED IN ONE OF THE GANG'S DREAMS! Yeah, I haven't forgot about it being in Eda's dream too! I am very confused, it seems lonely, but evil, but also just a chaotic vibe, I am conflicted
POOR KING! He literally just found out traumatising news and THEN people keep treating him differently now?? I spent the whole start of the episode wanting to just hold King and keep him safe from everyone, HE IS JUST A LITTLE GUY!!! HE IS JUST A BABY!!!
BUT! Steve to save the day. I am now a Steve Stan. I am a Steve fangirl. If Steve has 1 fan, its me, if Steve has 0 fans, I am dead. BRING BACK STEVE!!!! I adore Steve, with every essence of my being, HE WAS ACTING LIKE KING WAS FAMILY AND- AHHH, best friends your honour, they are best friends
FUCKKK The Eda and Raine and Luz angst was a plotline I was NOT ready for after the absolute fluff that was King and Steve helping people and vibing. SOMEONE GET MY PAL RAINE OUT OF THERE!!! Plant coven girl is literally obsessed with them, tf
Eda just wanting to save the kids, to protect Luz and King- I will admit, it hit me in my feels, Eda still treating King as a kid (AS HE SHOULD BE) and Luz and wanting them both away from danger AHHHHHHH
Luz bestie, I love you, but PLEASE EDA WAS RIGHT
HOWEVER HARPY EDA CAMEO!!! RAHHHHHH, I am still obsessed with it, we need more of Harpy Eda in this show.
AND FINALLY, THE ALLIES!!!! GOD. I am obsessed DARIUS I KNEW I COULD TRUST YOU!!! I don't know if I posted, but I REALLY liked Darius but knew (well, thought) he was evil, BUT NO I CAN NOW FINALLY LOVE HIM! AND EBERWOLF! Didn't forget him (did just have to search his name tho)
OH AND! The Palisman!!! I was going to mention this as I hadn't been mentioned in a while, BUT CARING FAMILY BONDING BETWEEN EDA, LUZ AND KING!!! I fucking love found family. Can you tell!!#
IN OTHER EXCITING NEWS! I am about to watch the season 2 finale episodes! No idea what to expect, but I am literally addicted so will take anything, i am sad I am so close to finishing it though, as Season 3 has less episodes
BUT it means I can finally interact with the fandom, etc etc
Thank you to all following my journey watching the series for the first time

Drama rec masterlist | Drama rant thread (beware of spoilers)
This drama is unsurprisingly a lot like its "prequel" which is, of course, Strong Woman Do Bong-soon. Which is both a good and a bad thing, because I like the original drama a lot, but it also means that I kept comparing the two. And honestly, the original is better if you ask me.
Both dramas have this thing where it's a comedy drama overall, but it has these really dark themes and scenes that just feel so out of place because they keep undermining it with something funny. The balance just isn't there for me - I had the same problem with Strong Woman Do Bong-soon, but I still feel that they handled it a bit better. A drama that handles that balance really well, though it may be hard to compare with these two, is Vincenzo. -> this does not mean it's a bad drama or anything, it is just not my thing.
Overall, it was a very decent drama. The actors all gave it their all, but sometimes the writing just didn't really hit what they were trying to. Some of the drama came off feeling almost two-dimensional, if that makes sense? It just never really got deep enough for me to actually truly care what happened to any of the characters, which doesn't really make for an amazing viewing experience.
And I can't talk about this drama, without talking about the shipping wars, because oh boy did it get heated at some points. The viewers who found Hee-sik boring (which... I can kind of see, but he's just as "stereotypical" of his character as any of the other characters in this drama, so by that logic all the characters are boring) started shipping Nam-soon with Shi-oh. And yes, these two did have pretty good chemistry on screen, but guys with giant red banners waving behind them just really aren't my thing. And while I did think that Nam-soon and Hee-sik were cute, their chemistry wasn't off the charts like you would want in a romance (neither was her chemistry with Shi-oh, just saying).
The single best scene in this drama was the cameo from Bong-soon and Min-hyuk. And that says a lot about this drama, I think.
In the end... this was a drama that did what it wanted - it copied and somewhat successfully made a second drama to the "classic" that was Bong-soon. It was generally cute and kinda fun, and I didn't have the worst time watching it. Did this drama need to be made? Not if you ask me. Does it need a second season / spin-off like they're teasing? Definitely not. Will I still give it a watch? Probably.

there's a picture of some gals drinking and it reminded me of the homeless tankmen guys do you think theyll be back,
OHHHH YEAH IT COULD BE THEM TOO
Wow there's a lot of background drinking in this series now that I'm thinking about it
Tbh I think they'll at least have a cameo considering they're likely still in the alley behind the theater
#Spooky Month#Seriously tho that's like four different suggestions I've seen for the drinking pic all from different people

Violence and Unrest
Hey there, deck limits. Well, I won't waste your time. Let's just get into it, coz the comic is sure gonna waste more of your time than I ever could~
Here's the cover:
Oh yeah, I forgot Jason Todd had that bit of white hair post-resurrection for a time. Guess what, it's probably because the artists of this comic forgot too. He hasn't had it any other time when he's been unmasked, including this issue. Does he dye it? And why does Jason wear a second mask under his mask? Is it for this reason? Does he expect his helmet to get shattered in battle? He should invest in a more durable material. Who's gonna recongise an unmasked Jason Todd anyway, he was a kid when he died. Anyway, this is a mildly interesting cover. I approve of punching Jason Todd.
All right, where were we? Duela Dent got murdered by the Monitors, who are cleaning up anomalies in the multiverse. Jason Todd and Donna Troy are investigating said death. Jimmy Olsen also was investigating this, but got sidetracked by getting superpowers and the death of New God Lightray. Holly Robinson is on the run and hiding out in this comic. Mary Marvel, down on her luck, is gifted Black Adam's superpowers. Karate Kid is being held by the JLA, and Pied Piper and Trickster are planning a crime. All this, and Amazons Attack! started up last issue!
We start up with that, in fact, with Jimmy Olsen actually name-dropping "Amazons Attack" (in the context of "the Amazons' attack on Washington", but it's bolded so you know what's up), worrying to Lois Lane if Clark will be fine covering it from the front lines. Lois says Jimmy doesn't have to worry about Clark, he's been in worse situations before. She then starts to inquire about the Lightray situation, but Jimmy gets a sudden message delivered. He decides it's something to look into, and takes off. Bye, Lois, thanks for the cameo!
Over in Gotham, Mary Marvel is posing dramatically as she adjusts to her new powers (and her new latex outfit). Having powers is so much better than not having powers! Why would Black Adam ever give these up?? I think he gave a succinct reason, but I guess you're too focused on your own problems. So, part of the reason she lost her powers was that the Rock of Eternity shattered, and she goes looking for the pieces. While flying around, she spots five pregnant women on a rooftop in pentagram formation around one such piece, singing "Killing Moon" by Echo and the Bunnymen. Yeah, even for Gotham City, that's a little weird!
Once again, the Rogues are out doin' a debauchery. Mirror Master is an absolute douchebag in this series, I've found. Like, I read a lot of Wally West's run of The Flash, and while he was kind of a dirtbag, I don't remember him being this bad. Here, they're at a high-end club (where they're the only patrons), and Mirror Master is chewing out their scantily-dressed waitress for bringing the wrong drink. Piper tells him to lay off her, and the two eventually get into a fistfight. It's broken up when Captain Cold shows up, freezes them, then says they have work to do. Well, how do you expect them to work when you've frozen them~?
Jimmy Olsen follows that mysterious tip he got to Suicide Slum, which is Metropolis' shithole district. Like, who even gives a building the number "666" otherwise? And who should live here but a shitty little goblin man named Sleez? Sleez is an obscure New Gods character, a former councel to Darkseid before getting banished to Earth. Like Lightray, he and Jimmy have previous acquaintence. Then suddenly someone bursts through the roof and blows a hole through Sleez. Like Lightray, he's now another dead New God. Holly Robinson, who happens to be loitering outside, also saves a homeless guy from the collapsing building. The comic bothered to tell us, so I might as well tell you, too.
All right, this is where shit gets gruesome. Just to show you what kind of comic this is, the ritual Mary Marvel interrupted? It summons a demon. A demon whose body is made of dead babies. He introduces himself as Pharyngula, the harvester of stillborn souls, and announces his intention to suck out both Mary Marvel's souls and the digested waste from her intestines. Like, dude, that's gross. The Binding of Isaac is looking at you and telling you you're overdoing it. Thankfully, Mary Marvel doesn't belabour the point and puts him down with a thrown car, then a bolt of lightning.
Over in Washington DC, Donna Troy and Jason Todd are finally bringing this back around to tying in to Amazons Attack!. Namely, they're hanging around the recently-decapitated Lincoln Memorial. Hey, I played that episode of Sam & Max! The pair of them discuss what's going on, and Jason reveals he figured out that the gunman was the Monitor after "doing some research". Donna replies that the Monitor is a good guy and it must've been the Anti-Monitor, but no, Jason confirms the look of the Monitor as the one he saw.
Okay, so, this is a little out there, but it's not entirely weird that Donna remembers the Monitor. She met another one of them during the One Year Later timeskip following Infinite Crisis. He also told her she was supposed to have died during the recent Crisis, but here she is. Still dunno how Jason found out about them. Multiversal anomalies aren't exactly the sort of thing I'd think you could look up on 2007 Google or your local library. But either way, this is what Jason figures they mean: the pair of them aren't supposed to be here, and the Monitors are gunning for them because of that.
While they're discussing it, the Monitors are, well, monitoring them, and they figure Jason's getting too clever for his own good. So they send down the blue-skinned goth lady from the cover. Her name is Forerunner, and this is fortunately her first appearance (as implied by the cover), so I don't have to discuss her backstory as well. As you might guess from someone with "runner" in the name, she has super speed, which she uses to quickly beat up Donna and Jason. Somehow Jason lasts longer against her than Donna, which doesn't make any sense. But either way, both of them are down and out at the end of the issue.
Well, this issue wasn't much. Terrible all around, really. You got the unnecessarily gross demon for Mary Marvel to fight, the weird continuity issues with Jason's monitor knowledge, Mirror Master still being terrible... And, like, I will put Sleez on our deaths counter (we're up to 3!), I'm not gonna weep for him or anything. Like, let's just say the guy lived up to his name. Good riddance, frankly. Also, if you think this issue was just hyping up Amazons Attack! and then not delivering, you're in for a sad awakening later on~

I’m honestly convinced that most of the people in that line in Black Friday would already be willing to do some of the things they do for one of those dolls. Which I find so interesting. We learn in nerdy prudes must die that it’s entirely likely Barry carries a gun, Jon matteson headcanons Gary just wanted to be part of a group and didn’t care about wiggly (meaning he killed a man for no reason), Linda Monroe. Well. Just watch honey queen. The homeless guy also has a similar reasoning to Gary (as I learnt from my cameo).
And what I find so interesting about feast or famine, is that Tom and Becky, are two of the only people who don’t resort to violence and only become that way when they act entirely possessed and out of character.
Which leads me to believe rather than the wiggly dolls immediately taking possession of the mind, it’s gradual. It’s a ‘they have it so I want it’ type scenario. Think of the homeless guy for example. He can’t afford one of those things. And it isn’t until the bidding starts that feast or famine begins with it becoming a competition. I realise I’m looking into this a LOT but it’s something yet another Black Friday rewatch made me think about.
I’ve realised this is a very long ramble but I hope someone understands me.

I'm sorry, but Kaito and Higashi's sub story and Sugiura as a coliseum fighter are all the Judgment cameos I've spotted, so no more cryptic hints towards a Judgment character. But have fun.
Hey, thanks for pointing them out!! ❤️ I knew Kaito was supposed to be there, but Higashi and Sugiura blindsided me completely (and Homeless Leader KIMURA???? Jfc 😂😂 Yagami there in spirit) and I am so so SO happy to see them again 😭😭😭😭 AND THEY HANG OUT TOGETHER IN THE FIGHTER’S LOUNGE?????? AND I get to play as them in the coliseum? AND AND I get to take as many pictures of them as I want? 10/10 game of the year every year, my skin is clear and my crops are watered and I am absolutely rabid that my favorite lil guys are in my yakuza gaems omg
Real talk tho, I wonder how many people met these guys and went who the fuck? Lmao esp after spending a ton of money on Sugiura. Maybe it’ll get more people to play je/lj (delusional) 😭😭😭😭

🎃HALLOWEEN LIST 2023🎃
I re-watched Wishmaster (1997)
The 1990's spawned one of the biggest franchises of all time with Scream. It also spawned another, smaller horror franchise with the Wishmaster movies.
An evil wish granting Djinn is released from his imprisonment. Now a gemologist must find a way to put him back.
Wishmaster is directed by Robert Kurtzman. Robert Kurtzman is a special effects creator and was the third member of KNB effects with Greg Nicotero and Howard Berger.
As a special effects show, Wishmaster is pretty great. It's throwing a lot at you. Goopy and gross stuff, living statues, snake people, skeletons ripping out of their bodies, and a pretty great creature makeup for the Wishmaster himself.
As a horror fan, I enjoyed all the horror cameos. They seem endless. From the crane operator to the homeless guy and the pharmacist, to just about every side character. No doubt Robert Kurtzman gladly called together a lot of his friends and work buddies.
As a movie, Wishmaster isn't great. The writing is very bland and by-the-numbers, the story is half baked and the overall presentation leaves a bit to be desired. It feels hollow outside of the special effects.
I like Andrew Divoff as the Wishmaster. He's incredibly over-the-top, which works for how ridiculous this movie is. The character of the Wishmaster, like so many other horror characters, is just here to facilitate a reason for a bunch of cool death scenes. This is a bummer only because, the script and style is uninteresting outside of these cool scenes and makes the movie feel way longer than it is.
Overall, Wishmaster is fun enough to enjoy. Lots of special effects, and would be good to watch with friends.
I watched it alone, and I have a lot less nostalgia for this movie than some others of the same shitty quality, but it went down pretty easy.

HELLO! (points directly at url)
the stitchwraith is made by phineas taggart - a guy who wasnt incapable of feeling emotions (or something equivalent to that) and he loves to expiriment with agony, so he got acouple of items - including an ella doll, if youve read 1:35 am you mightve recognised him as a little cameo (he speaks to plants, and even called the creation of the stitch his own tin man, hes funny, i think tumblr wouldve loved him) and dies the moment the stitchwraith comes alive
the stitchwraith is compromised of two spirits: jake and andrew
jake was a 9 year old boy who had cancer and is the protagonist in the 6th books 2nd story the real jake, its important to note that his father, while away at war iirc, had a small doll that would speak to jake every night, hidden behind a closet, and jake would tell the doll what 'he did that day' (what he wouldve wished he wouldve done) and his caretaker, margie, would come in every night and draw on a thing related to it - if he said that he got into a baseball game then she would draw on a black eye on him, a missing tooth, red around the mouth to signalise the pizza he said he ate that day, as a surprise for him when he won the battle, unfortunatly both jakes father (whos named evan, funnily enough, he has an uncle named micheal too) and jake passed away, leaving margie with the home, which on a unrelated note became infested w cats lol, phineas had used the dolls head (which, inspite of it being implied that jake possessed the doll and ran away, i have zero clue how phineas got his hands on it)
andrew is the, i guess 'antagonist' of the man in room 1280, where hes been keeping william alive for a good while now and keeps confusing four nurses to the point of them calling a priest, he wears an alligator mask i think thats cool, and because of how much agony he has in him and how bitter he has at william (vaild) he is the reason why phineas had died by his touch, he has such a strong sense of emotion it just. kinda goes into everything, if youre wondering how his spirit got into the stitchwaith andrews spirit was also in fetch's battery, i dont know the story about that either ur guess is as good as mine
andrew and jake, together in this stitchwraith body, would collect the rest of what andrew had 'infected', which i only remember foxy from come closer being mentioned
andrew dissapears in the 6th epilouge iirc, long story short william in a massive trash pile monster form (yes he still has those goofy rabbit ears mentioned) had appeared and the two struggling not to kill our other protagonist - detective larson - had plunged themselves into it, andrews spirit is dragged away from williams, leaving jake alone in this vessiel
jake discovers, via accidently touching a homeless man, that he can go into others memories and make them plesant, so the death touch is gone for good, also by skipping towards the end he kinda becomes like, a guardian angel for the ballpit? with the memories of eleanors victims (also not relevant to the conversation dont worry about it) being in there, when he makes millies last memories her spending happily with her family, a single ball had started to glow, and the rest of them slowly did as well
i liked jake, i think hes a sweet protagonist, i thought andrew was interesting too but thats just me being tumblr user stitchwraith-stingers to each their own lol
if anything i wouldnt really exactly say that the stitchwraith is a villain, yeah andrew going "LETS KILL HIM" to some guy in his 40s is bad, but its more or less of a "dont judge a book by its cover" shtick (ESPECIALLY considering the whole renelle plotline), they arent finding trouble they just happened to be able to do that
TLDR: two ghost jokes in one expiriment body, one of them is pissed enough to kill people by touching them and after his spirit gets dragged away the other one can visit peoples memories and kinda maybe sorta becomes a guardian angel, dont worry about it
i fuckign HATE the latter half of fnaf lore so fucking much. i dont care about the mimic. i dont care about the stitchwraith. i dont care about the glitchtrap virus. i dont care about remnant. i CARE about haunted animatronics. can we please go back to haunted animatronics???? with the ghosts and the dead people and etc?? not whatever sci-fi bullshit is going on nowadays??

Framing Clint, Pietro and Wanda as "former bad guys" is definitely necessary to the premise of the Kooky Quartet era, and it is a useful way to contextualize their experiences with celebrity-- the general American public was introduced to these people as former criminals/terrorists, which sets the tone for their respective public images and gives each of them a reputation to overcome.
HAVING SAID THAT, I think it's been pretty damaging, in the long run, for the Maximoffs because, like all things in comics, it's been so flattened and simplified over time that we now have contemporary stories which frame their origins as if they were full-on Evil People™ who were rehabilitated by the Avengers rather than.... you know.... homeless, marginalized orphan teenagers who got pressed into serving the Brotherhood because it was literally the only place where they were relatively safe, but didn't actually want to be there and left at earliest opportunity. This usually only happens in brief cameos or non-canon storylines like Heroes Reborn, but considering how Trial, which was a major storyline for Wanda, was written by someone who admittedly did not research the character and based the plot solely on contemporary revisionist material..... I'm just waiting for the day.
#AND HONESTLY... I think that the M/C/U twins being introduced as HYDRA+Ultron affiliates was supposed to parallel their Brotherhood origins#but obviously it completely missed the point and really stepped in dog shit with the whole. N*zi thing.
