Watching spiderman homecoming again and honestly im just so overwhelmed with love for Tony Stark?? Like he spent the months after civil war being his best self and going on vacation (looking absolutely beautiful in doing so), patching things up with the love of his life, making a prototype for a new shield for the man who lied to him for years and who also left him for dead, arranging new accommodation for the Avengers despite them now being broken, and finally, watching over a kid he only very recently met (and most definitely sees himself in), guiding him toward making the right decisions, building him a new suit and being incredibly kind and encouraging toward him because Tony knows Peter no longer has a positive male figure in his life anymore, and oh my fucking god im just so in awe of him, Tony Stark is the person i aspire to be and i love him with my entire being

Lux had done everything he could -- splurged on an expensive red suit, organized an entire charity event, and showed up to homecoming with the reigning prom queen on his arm. And he still lost. Never one to show that kind of insecurity in public, he just congratulated Dean and Bianca through gritted teeth (knowing that Bianca was expecting him to be a sore loser, he had to remain all namastay about it so as not to prove her right) and went to the punch bowl for a shot of what had hopefully been spiked punch by now. Taking a swig, he grimaced -- it wasn’t. “Hey, what’s a guy gotta do to get some tequila in this punch?!” he exclaimed, slamming the paper cup down onto the table dramatically. Shaking his head, Lux let out a sad laugh at himself before pouring another.

Hey! About your text about How Tony is always treated by the other avengers, in which you're right, and i totally agree, and that's what confuses me because in HC he's seen smiling and "healed", as if Siberia never happened. And I am not sure.. How that's supposed to make sense ? I know there's time between CW and HC but there's not that much and that's what scares me. He seems happy but then he'll have to fight again? With people he can't fully trust ? Not sure that makes you feel better, sorry

I think timeline wise, it’s almost like no time at all. In homecomings first scene, we see Peter and Tony right after the battle?

My theory is that this is before the fight went down with Steve and Bucky. I think Tony dropped Peter off before going to find Steve and Bucky. I never really thought of the timeline, but that’s what makes sense to me, but I could be wrong.

A part of the reason Tony’s so MIA might be because he’s healing? Or trying to deal with his loss. His wounds are very fresh; he watched his parents die and no matter how much time as passed since they die – that kind of horror doesn’t lose it’s potency – he lost one of his best friends, and he feels completely isolated and disregarded by half of the people he’s considered friends. He’s alone and I think – he didn’t want Peter to see any of that, it could easily explain his distance during the beginning of the movie, and naturally his detour in India.

Okay, now– I don’t think Tony is healed, but I think Pepper and him getting back together has a lot to do with his happiness. The amount of love Tony has for Pepper is really underrated, but RDJ’s acting and Tony’s oxymoronic (i.e: that fucking sharpnel necklace) gestures more than showcase her importance.

I think he’s slowly in a much better place than he was in the end of Civil War, but he is in no means healed. Mental illness doesn’t go away when one’s in love.

I don’t know what the future holds for him in Infinity War, but I don’t want him to grovel and shoulder blame again. And I really really don’t want the Guardians treating him like an asshole, or anyone regarding him with anything other than distant respect. I really don’t expect any of the avengers to actively care for him, but I could really do without another Avengers movie focused on bashing Tony (i.e: age of ultron).

She’d been trying to focus on the dance all night, focus on her best friend who was literally running for homecoming court, and not focus on the fact that her boyfriend hadn’t been there. She’d been trying to act calm, to be cool about it, and brush it off whenever people asked. Telling people that he would be there soon. That he had other stuff that he was doing but he would be there. The more she told people, the less she believed it.  She kept herself distracted by eating the food, dancing with Bianca and Liam and some other friends, but her mind always ended up wandering. First it was worry. Worry that something might’ve happened to him. That he got jumped or he had some kind of heart attack or got hit by some kind of car, or something drastic. Then her insecurities began to get the better of her. Maybe it was her. Maybe he had finally realized that dating a high schooler was lame. That he had some cooler college friends already that he would’ve preferred to hang out with over her. She glanced at the clock on the wall, swallowing thickly as she realized that there was maybe an hour left of homecoming. She excused herself from the table she was sitting at, moving out into the hallway and pulling her phone out from her bra, leaning against the wall as she let out a shaking breath -- checking her phone for what seemed like the millionth time that night. She felt her heart sink even more when she hadn’t seen a single text -- not even a phone call from him. She pressed her lips together and unlocked her phone once more -- chewing on her lower lip as a tear rolled down her cheek. She began typing out yet another message to him, her fingers flying over her screen as she so desperately tried to keep herself from flying off of the handle. Maybe there was a good reason he hadn’t been there.

Who wants to dance with me?” It was one of those remixes of popular songs made to fit the time of the dance and, while she totally talked crap about the theme for a good week, something about Lady Gaga in the 80s felt right. So, reaching out for the nearest hand, Pari started to dance, not necessarily caring who with.

can we talk about how peter was (imo) having a panic attack when he got out of the car and walked up to the dance like,,,, my poor baby ALSO THE SCENE WHERE HE GOT CRUSHED CRUSHED M E GOD DO I LOVE PETER PARKER

YEAH?? I was literally so upset watching that like almost in tears for this poor afraid child and I wanted to punch Liz for giving his identity away like that I know she didn’t do it intentionally but?? He literally looked like he was just gonna keel over and pass out right there and I was like “FUCK somebody save this boy please!!”

ME TOO FAM HOLY SHIT I was on the edge of tears at that scene too he was so helpless and broken and crying out for help I just. FELT FOR HIM SO MUCH and I was also like “Where the FUCK is Tony JFC he needs to come and save his son” I was half expecting him to show up when Peter was crying for somebody to save him but he didn’t and I?? Was disappointed it would have been such a great father son scene, like Tony dragging him out of the wreckage and jumping out of his suit and patting all over his face, “Are you okay ARE YOU OKAY are any of your bones broken can you see? Did you hit your head is your head okay you’re not concussed right? Talk to me kid do I have to give you an emergency escort flight to the hospital? Peter Peter Peter”That just reminds me of the scene in Civil War when Tony’s like “Okay no you’re injured and I want you to stay out of this no more fighting” HE’S SUCH A CONCERNED DAD I S2GEspecially at the end when Peter came to Avengers HQ and he and Tony were walking and Tony had his arms around Peter’s shoulders and was giving him like a side hug and lots of pats and I was like?? Squealing really loud I love them can Tony adopt Peter and have them both go on superhero adventures together PLEASEAnd the scene at the beginning of the movie when Peter was documenting everything and he and Tony were making a video for his aunt and they were grinning like doofuses at the camera and god god god god I LOVE THEM!!
