Listen to my vision: Shadowheart after a couple years of living on the farm.

She says she doesn’t have a favorite but she likes a certain chicken the best and gives one goat a couple extra treats. She has a bit of a tan now but during the summer there’s a bit of a sun burn on her shoulders that doesn’t seem to ever go away. The muscles she got from her training don’t really leave, she still puts aside a couple hours to train even if she has to pauses to move a cat out of the way, but she does gain a healthy amount of softness.

She learns how to bake bread and cookies. Her neighbors and their kids get to have the left overs when she feels like her food is good enough to share if not she’s happy enough to give the mistakes to her animals.

reshaping the varric reveal by moi

i think the reason they made the varric reveal so absolutely obvious (he literally is just there to serve foot fetish realness in the infirmary with minimal interaction) is bc they want you to go back and go ah! it was SO obvious. which to makes it a weak twist lol. you can place hints without making them so clockable (remember the solas reveal...).

so imho they should have made sure ALL the ppl in the lighthouse could see varric justifying it in two ways 1) post ritual neve and harding drag both rook and varric to the lighthouse, but since it was a hectic escape all neve&harding thought is oh shit varric was hit BAD, we need to get him to a healer 2) solas is so entwined with the lighthouse, literally his home base, that he can shape it to his will from his prison, hence making sure neve&harding think they did enough to save varrics life. from then on varric interacts with every memberof the veilguard, still on the assumption that he is wounded.

solas, on the other hand, keeps using his influence on the lighthouse to gaslight and subtly manipulate the veilguard. instead of it being actually true that simply bc they are in the fade the rooms bend to their understanding&conceptions&tastes, it's SOLAS who shapes the rooms on the basis of what he wants them to see, creating a safe and warm and trustworthy environment. potentially placing false books and codexs to waylay the veilguard. things like messages that might make solas appear more sympathetic, more justified.

but im also thinking maybe bellara finds a book on how to create the magical veil tearing dagger bc solas' original one was destroyed in the ritual, starting an arms race with the evanuris on who can craft another first (potentially a first plan could be to open the prison with the dagger and send the evanuris there again. with solas as a roommate).

but dum dum dum the book bellara finds is a heavily doctored one by solas to create a dagger that suits HIS plans.

varric reveal proceeds as per the game, but when rook comes back to the lighthouse its drab, completely without the decorations, it went back exactly as solas left it, and to his exact design and taste. leaving some ambiguity as to whether the things you find in there were deliberately planted by solas to make him more sympathetic
