Home Server

Tumblr, I'm thinking about running a home server for cool stuffs, but I'm not entirely sure what I'm gonna put on it. So far I've got:

Nginx setup

A Matrix home-server

Plans for an arcade-style high-score board for my Tower of Hanoi clone (https://notalakelurk.github.io/tower-of-hanoi/)

and, that's about it.

I might make some more simple web-games with scoreboards, but I'm not yet sure what I might recreate. Maybe I could do something with Langton's ant / Turmites or Conway's Game of Life with configurable inputs? Please tell me if anyone has any ideas whatsoever of what I might host.

(For context, I'll be running this on an old Gateway sx2110g with an AMD E1-1200 CPU. I plan to switch over to a Raspberry Pi after I complete my next semester of college, as I'll be getting one as part of one of my courses. I'm extremely new to self-hosting/home-servers, so any advice would be much appreciated!) =|:3=;

I finally finished Wally, now I'm working on Julie! I was going to make Frank & Eddie last, because they have more stuff to them when it comes to the background characters. Due to them having weapons, outfits, and mechanics. Plus, they have three design's in the game...

To be honest, the more I draw this little squirt the more I feel bad for him. I'm sorry buddy, it had to be done. You're too cute, you need to go! Also, I laugh at the fact that Frank and Eddie realized they didn't need to kill Wally after all. They feel bad now!

Oh yeah, no one isn't voice acting this cutie yet! Except for one of my buddies, but they are having some difficulties right now. So If you're interested in voice acting him then here's a link to my discord server!

Okay I am seeing people say that this isn't minecraft RP any more, it's just a minecraft event, and while I'm tracking with you, I am also an avid watcher of the Life Series series of SMPs, and I assure you that you'd be surprised at the RP and lore that can come out of a challenge death game with strict rules and unexpected team-ups. This is just the "everybody getting settled" episode, but even IF there aren't more twists coming, it's highly possible that we get more lore and RP type situations than you'd expect as the event continues.

in light of tedtrent becoming so real, im also jumping on the tedtrent epilogue 😊

there's just no way ted wouldn't keep in touch with the others (and have weekly zoom meetings just like in the christmas special) and I just love the thought of the whole team having reunions once in a while.

and going back to trent's arc in s3, the sunflowers conversation, "And your daughter?" "She's never been happier." I think it could go the same for ted.. we've never really properly saw how henry felt about his dad being in london, it's always other people that told ted his son misses him, who's to say henry would rather see his dad happy because that in turn would make him happy too? he was there to win the whole thing, right? I just know ted’s story isn’t done yet when he still hasn’t learned to let others take care of him in return and who else to pair him with than the man who blew up his career because a man was nice to him (and also because they were so. so cruel for the fakeout tedbecca scenes for that finale) 🥺

I'm no writer so just pretend these are snapshots of a slow burn fic where ted visits london for their team reunion and slowly realizes that trent has a crush on him and they kiss about it 💛

might be worth noting that tubbo got lore today because he made it canon he warped back from the boat.

i think this was confusing bc he wasn't sure initially how to play it (he is not a lore guy by trade we all know this), and waffled back and forth with it (with fun bits like "it's tuesday" or "it's a time rift"), but he definitely did make it canon.

he has the story: the boat didn't leave, he had his warpstone. he knew they would just steal him back, like they did the first time.

he has the reason: he desperately needed to see sunny before he left; couldn't sit idly by

and he made it clear that's what he wants to have happened. he told his chat to stop "-rp point"-ing him about it multiple times bc he's trying to make it canon (and told fit the same when he came back post-ghost bit).

he also asked sunny's admin whether she wanted their interactions to be filler or canon and she chose canon

plus he had a canon interaction with forever explaining it and asking him to watch over his daughter

and he and sunny built things and interacted with each other based specifically off the info he was kidnapped, that he will have to go, and that they both knew it was coming

so while you may have to ignore or recontextualize some of the goofier interactions when he initially came back (phil/etoiles/fit stuff esp), tubbo did come back, the code attack did happen, it's already been fit into the lore, and i don't doubt sunny is going to tell fit about it this week!!
