Jungwon as your boyfriend
pairing Jungwon x reader! genre fluff warnings not proofread word count 0.7k
Jungwon lives by stealing your clothes. He loves that they have your smell, and he usually wears them whenever you are away from him. For him, it is like taking a piece of you in him.
This man somehow knows everything about you, including your needs and wants. For example, whenever you go out, Jungwon knows he needs to bring a bottle of water and snacks because you get hungry or thirsty. He also probably knows you better than you do. You would go to a restaurant thinking of ordering something, and he would go and say something like:
“ I know you won’t like it, I just know, TRUST ME”.
You would not trust what he said at first, so you would order the dish. Jungwon knew he was right because of the funny face you made after taking the first bite.
Jungwon has your go-to beverage memorized like the back of his hand.
He knows when you are running out of your favorite candies before you even notice, so he would go and buy them before you are left without candies.
Communication is KEY to him.
He will call you day and night just to see how you are and to catch up, even if you just saw each other an hour ago.
He will also text you the most random thing ever just so that he can talk to you. He will also spam you with random selfies throughout the day.
Jungwon would also answer you within 5 minutes after you sent a message. It does not matter if it is 3 am. He would somehow be awake.
Something that he hates is arguing, so he always makes sure to express how he feels without hurting your feelings. He would also appreciate it whenever you give him feedback to improve both himself and the relationship. All this together makes arguments vague in your relationship + in the rare situation of a fight, he would not let you guys sleep if you are both angry at each other.
He has the most embarrassing picture of you as his wallpaper, and he would have a Polaroid of the two of you on his phone case. You would ask him MULTIPLE times to change his wallpaper, but he would decline each time simply because he does not think you look bad, he thinks you look so adorable + he likes to annoy you with that picture.
He is both into outdoor and indoor dates. He loves to cuddle with you and eat good food as much as he likes going out and spending time with you.
Talking about dates… Jungwon is the most creative partner ever. He would take you to go and do some pottery, take dance lessons (ofc he would be your teacher), go to a dog café, etc. He would take you to the most unexpected places sometimes.
Jungwon is someone who does not come into play when it comes to your relationship.
He dates to marry and makes sure he dedicates enough time to you.
He probably has a calendar with days marked as “Y/N’S DAY!!!”. He just loves to make you feel loved and seen. He also probably has a dedicated part of the day for you because he always says he has to take a daily dose of you. Otherwise, he will die of a broken heart.
Jungwon is not a fan of pet names. He would call you rat face or something really stupid, and he would probably have your number saved as “my little dumb dumb <3”.
He loves taking care of you. If you arrive home late and tired, he prepares a hot bath for you to relax as well as hot tea, and if you cannot even remove your makeup, he cleans your face with makeup remover wipes. Also, if you had a busy week, he would book and pay for a spa appointment, even if you did not ask for one.
He is playful and goofy as well. While walking, he will try to make you fall by sticking his foot between your legs. He also likes to make you trip by making your knees bend, and just after, he will run away so you don’t take revenge by pocking his dimple.
Dating Jungwon is like dating your best friend because he would be your best friend!
Author's note: Heyyyy guys!! I know I have been missing for like a year or something 😭 but this year was HARD. I promise I read all of your requests and I will try to write them as soon as possible. I was so excited to see this 1892 Victorian b/c of the round turret. But, I am in shock over what they did to the home. I never expected this. Located in Goshen, New York, it has 5bds, 4.5ba, and they want $995K. I wouldn't give them $9.95. Look at how they completely stripped it of all character.
There was no point in showing the center entrance hall, b/c it's been stripped of everything. Instead of 2 sitting rooms, there's a modern living room and a dining room across the hall.
This was sitting room #1.
And, here's the dining room, which was probably the reception room. Why did they leave the original exterior intact? What was the point? The should've put up vinyl siding.
The original dining room was turned into a dinette, I guess. The windows. Wonder if that rectangular one was stained glass.
I have never seen anything like this. Usually, they'll paint the original woodwork white, or leave a little something original. Every piece of millwork was removed.
The new guest powder room.
Oh, lord, whatever beautiful original railing there was has been replaced. They just gutted every single bit of Victoriana and left nothing. I wonder if they at least sold it to an architectural salvage company.
I'm certain that they removed the fireplaces from the bedrooms. They even modernized the windows in the bump-out. Crown moldings are gone, everything's gone.
Blech.
There were probably lovely doors to a terrace, but they've been replaced by modern glass doors.
The new, improved terrace. I'm picturing a quaint covered porch that might've been here.
Modern bath.
They left a fireplace in the primary bedroom, but it's modernized and has a deep window in what was once the chimney.
Could this be any more bland?
This must be their version of a modern clawfoot tub.
And, it's in the round turret that I was so excited about.
Note that instead of allowing us to see right to the top, they constructed a weird frame for an overhead fixture and blocked it with a disk. They say that it has a turret- this is no longer a turret. I pictured brick walls and an amazing cozy little room, but now it's an angular tub room thanks to wall board and wallpaper.
The bedrooms are a waste of time and so are the baths.
And, we are in the finished attic on the 3rd level.
There's nothing anyone can do to fix it. It's ruined. The corner lot is 0.4 acre.

How did you and B meet?
I'm sure I've talked about this before, but here's the Official Story from our reception invitations:
Erica met B through their mutual friend G while rock climbing at the Austin greenbelt in April of 2019.
Erica had just purchased a new camera and 80% of the photos she took that day were of B. She shyly sent B the best ones and noted he was a lovely subject. B said, “thanks bro” and used those pictures for his Bumble profile.
It was an auspicious beginning.
At the time, B was living and working in Austin while Erica was a PhD student in Dallas. She often visited “home” to see her parents and climb, so they met up regularly over the next two years.
When the pandemic hit, Erica moved back to Austin to work on her dissertation, and isolated with a small group of climbers that included B. They also started playing D&D together.
Ericas character was a chaotic neutral half-elf bard who cast spells and cantrips exclusively via limerick. Her go-to solutions to problems they encountered were seduction, inciting political rebellion, befriending monsters, and stabbing.
B played a lawful good half-elf paladin who found Erica’s character extremely vexing.
In real life, however, they had quite a bit in common, and started spending time alone outside of group climbing and D&D meetups. Later, they would discover they had a mutual romantic interest at this point, but neither acted on it since Erica had accepted a visiting professorship in Colorado. She moved in July.
When Erica returned briefly to Austin over spring break the following year, she spent most of her time with B: climbing, hiking, grilling at her parent’s place, and staunchly denying there was anything happening between them even if she wished there was because honestly, mom, he's never shown the slightest bit of interest in me (her father scoffed loudly from the other room).
She decided to move back to Austin at the end of the school year. When B (and G) came to visit her a few weeks before she moved, Erica decided to be brave and make her intentions known. While watching a UFC fight with B on the couch, she tucked her toes, lasciviously, under B’s thigh.
Shockingly, he did not respond to this unequivocal romantic overture. But he did help her remove all the temporary wallpaper on her ugly rental cabinets before they left, so that was nice.
The following month, when Erica moved back to Austin, B asked if she’d like to come over for dinner after climbing. She agreed because she wanted to procrastinate unpacking and also she was slightly in love with him. The following day, he asked if she wanted to have dinner again. She did.
“Wow,” Erica said to her mother that morning, “I guess B is really lonely since G moved. He’s been asking me to hang out with him a lot.”
“You're an idiot,” her mother said.
That night, B asked Erica if she'd ever thought about them dating.
“I’m thinking about it now,” she said, cavalier, suave, blasé, and not nervous at all.
This wasn’t a lie, but she had also thought about it once or twice prior to that moment as well.
“Great,” B said, “How would you feel if I kissed you?”
And Erica said, “Yeah, I’d feel pretty good about that.”
A few weeks later, B casually showed Erica an empty shelf in his bathroom cabinet and an inviting space in his closet and a couple spare drawers in his dresser and she, equally casually, moved in with him.
Over the next year, the apartment’s decor and Erica’s diet improved drastically. They traveled, they climbed, they spent time with each others families. They lived, laughed, loved and reduced, reused, recycled. Shortly after moving into their new house, combining bank accounts, making each other their medical powers of attorney, solidifying their retirement plans, and discussing whether getting married would have tax benefits, they realized most people got engaged before doing…a good portion of those things. So they planned to propose to each other.
Christmas of 2022, they took a road trip across Colorado. B proposed to Erica on the gondola in Telluride; two days later, Erica proposed to B on the Train to Cascade Canyon in Durango. They both said yes.
In August 2023 they will elope, with their dog Deacon as a witness, to Mt. Rainier national park.
In November 2023, they’ll celebrate with their friends and family at a backyard reception that will include food, drinks, swimming, croquet, corn hole, axe-throwing and a bounce house (the axe-throwing and the bounce-house will be on opposite sides of the lawn; if it's cold, the pool will be heated). They hope you’ll come and share their joy with them.

I love doing home improvement because my house is a fucking archeological expedition. The previous owners never removed anything, they just added new decor on top.
When I removed the wallpaper from the bedroom, I discovered there was a second layer of wallpaper underneath. Which someone had painted over, failing to cover the older wallpaper pattern but succeeding in making it incredibly difficult to remove.
The bathroom was done in avocado green tile which someone later painted over in white. So we've finally gotten the time, money and organizational skills together to remodel it, and when the workers ripped out the tile, guess what was underneath? Yup, more tile! The inner tiles are smaller and a lighter green, probably the original. Very classic mid-century, just as the avocado tiles are classic 70s and the simple white classic 90s.
This house is a fashion history lesson, you just keep peeling away decor to find older decor.

Creative Interior Design Solutions for Personalizing Your Rental Space by WeDezine
Renting a home or apartment often brings certain limitations—restricted design flexibility, structural constraints, and a lack of true ownership. However, just because you’re renting doesn’t mean your space can’t feel like home. Personalizing a rental is all about infusing your unique style within the boundaries set by your lease.
At WeDezine, we know how important it is to make every space feel special, even if it’s not owned. Here, we share creative interior design solutions that allow you to transform your rental into a stylish and inviting home without any major renovations.
1. Add Color with Accessories
Although many rentals don’t allow painting, you can still bring a vibrant palette into your home through accessories. Use pillows, rugs, curtains, and artwork to introduce colors and create a cohesive look. A bold color scheme or a single-color palette with accents adds personality to any space.
WeDezine Tip: Try removable wallpaper or peel-and-stick decals for an easy, non-damaging way to add patterns and color.
2. Switch Up Lighting
Lighting is key to setting the mood in a room. Swap out standard fixtures for stylish pendant lights, chic floor lamps, or cozy string lights. You’ll instantly change the ambiance and make the space feel more tailored to your tastes.
WeDezine Suggestion: Choose adjustable or portable lighting options that are easy to pack up and take with you if you move.
3. Bring Texture into the Space
Textures make a room feel cozy and personalized. Use fabrics like velvet, linen, or cotton in throws, pillows, and blankets to layer your furniture. Rugs are another excellent way to introduce texture while also defining your living areas.
Pro Tip: A statement rug can anchor the room’s decor, adding warmth and depth to your rental space.
4. Choose Versatile Furniture
Rental spaces often come with restrictions that make it hard to find the perfect furniture fit. Opt for versatile, easy-to-move pieces like foldable tables, modular sofas, or stackable chairs. These items adapt easily to layout changes, giving you flexibility over time.
WeDezine Suggestion: Select furniture with built-in storage to maximize space and reduce clutter, especially in smaller apartments.
5. Use Vertical Space
If floor space is tight, use the vertical space instead. Floating shelves, wall-mounted hooks, and vertical storage are great options for displaying decor or storing items without taking up precious square footage.
Creative Ideas: Try adding a floating desk or wall-mounted storage for functionality and style without cluttering the floor.
6. Add Indoor Plants
Plants bring any space to life. Whether you go for a few potted plants, hanging planters, or a larger statement plant, greenery makes your home feel warm and inviting. Plants also improve air quality and create a calming atmosphere.
WeDezine Tip: Choose low-maintenance plants like succulents, snake plants, or pothos, which are easy to care for and thrive in various lighting conditions.
7. Display Temporary Wall Art
Blank walls don’t have to stay bare. Add personality to your rental with removable or temporary wall art, such as framed prints, canvas paintings, or fabric tapestries. These pieces add style without the worry of permanent damage.
Pro Tip: Use command strips or adhesive hooks to hang art without damaging walls, so your decor can come down easily when it’s time to move.
8. Include Personal Touches
Your rental should reflect who you are. Incorporate personal items, like family heirlooms, travel souvenirs, or DIY projects, to make the space feel uniquely yours. Thoughtfully curated items bring warmth and a sense of familiarity to your rental.
WeDezine Insight: Consider a gallery wall of framed photos or custom art prints to add character and personality.
9. Opt for Multi-Functional Furniture
Multi-purpose furniture is a game-changer in rentals where space is at a premium. Choose pieces that serve dual functions, like sofa beds, storage ottomans, or desks that double as dining tables. These items provide both style and utility, maximizing limited space.
WeDezine Tip: Multi-functional furniture will improve the flow and efficiency of your rental space while also adding your personal style.
10. Stay Organized with Stylish Storage
Organization is key to personalizing any space. Stylish storage solutions like baskets, trays, and decorative boxes are functional yet aesthetically pleasing. Decluttering your space will make it feel larger, more comfortable, and more peaceful.
Conclusion
Personalizing a rental space can be a rewarding experience with the right design solutions. Adding color, embracing functional furniture, incorporating personal touches, and using creative decor options can help you turn your rental into a space that truly feels like home.
At WeDezine, we’re passionate about creating beautiful, personalized spaces. If you need assistance with designing a rental that feels unique to you, reach out to our team. Let’s work together to transform your rental into a stylish and functional home that reflects your taste—without compromising on design flexibility!

Shizaya Week 2023
Day 8 Free Day Part 1/7
Shizuo: "Hey! It's Shizuo and Fleabag here! We've recently heard that someone wanted a tour of our home."
Izaya: "Hey Protozan, don't smoke indoors. Yes, we decided that this week dedicated to us would be perfect time to show it all off."
Izaya: "I would like to start by showcasing my new rug. It's actually a coffee coaster. We purchased it from a local coffee shop and thought it was the PERFECT addition!"
Shizuo: "Right here we have our cat Foofoo. It doesn't do much..."
Izaya: "Stop smoking Shizu-chan! Don't make me come over there."
Izaya: "This is one of my favorite chairs. Believe it or not it's made out of a dish towel and the bottom of a soda bottle! If you look closely, you can see the ripples at the bottom."
Shizuo: "This couch is from a dish towel and sponges! I think there is foam board too. It's the perfect size for us. We'd like to buy a legit one but the sizing isn't ever right and they tend to be pricey."
Izaya: "These books here were bought as a set. Not sure why we have them still. We know Shizu-chan can't read!"
Shizuo: "This might be the perfect time to show my stop sign! Get over here!"
Izaya: "Ope gotta run! Next we'll show you the kitchen."
Shizuo: "Get back here you dick head!"
A note from me!
The flooring here is made up of samples from the home improvement stores. I just got a bunch and cut them into strips. The wallpaper is made of scrap book paper. Everything is stuck on with doublesided tape. It's easy to remove for remodeling if needed.
If anyone ever has questions about my house or the things in it, please ask. My inbox is always open :D
Next I'll show the kitchen. Tiny food for them is my favorite thing!

A Few Suggestions For Removing Wallpaper
As a professional in the home improvement industry I am asked often "What is the best way to remove wallpaper?" This is a challenge for most homeowners. In this article I click here will tell you what I believe is the best method for removing wallpaper.
To begin with, if the wall behind the wallpaper has been previously painted or primed it will make it much easier to remove but if it is unpainted drywall that is when the job becomes more difficult. I start by telling you this is because you can easily damage your walls if you attempt to remove wallpaper from unpainted drywall. If this occurs you will then have to repair the wall with joint compound which is a completely different project all together. Just remember, after you remove the first section of wallpaper from the wall and if the wall is unpainted you will need to take extra care so as not to cause any damage to the wall.
The items you will need to get started is wallpaper remover solution which is readily available at most paint or hardware stores, metal scraper, squirt bottle or garden sprayer and sandpaper.
1. The first step is to prepare by removing all furniture away from the wall and cover it with plastic drop cloths or tarps. Unless you are in an area with tile floors, make certain to cover all flooring with drop cloths.
2. To begin, start in a corner and pull a piece of wallpaper from the wall. Often you can remove the wallpaper easily and all you have left to remove is the glue residue. But most of the time you will be able to remove some areas and be left with some spots which you will have to apply wallpaper removal solution and invest some extra labor to remove. Remove as much as you can while dry, but remember to be careful and remove it slowly so as to not damage the drywall.
3. Fill your squirt bottle or garden sprayer with the wallpaper removal solution according to the manufactures direction. Begining at the top, spray the wall in four foot sections. Repeat this step about three times, until the wall is completely saturated. Do not use too much because if it gets too wet it can cause damage.
4. Take your scraper and gently start scraping away wallpaper and glue residue from the wall. Be careful not to gouge the wet drywall with your scraper.
5. Repeat these steps until all of the glue and wallpaper are removed.
6. If you are left with stubborn glue residue take your sandpaper and sand it away. You can start out with a rough grit sandpaper and as the glue is dissolved you can use a more fine grit sandpaper. Prepare to use several sheets of sandpaper because the glue will begin to cling to the sandpaper and lessen its effectiveness.

Hey moo :)
Can I ask a question? You moved into your house not that long ago right? Have you done any house projects since you moved in? Or discovered any house secrets?
Most of the weird house stuff was stuff that literally drew me to want to buy it in the first place tbh
Like the photos were pleasantly honest! (Which is great considering I bought this bitch ONLINE without ever seeing it in person hahaha 🫠)
Like I can tell that whoever made this house wanted to make something original and quirky and I'm in love with it. There are so many weird angles and design choices with zero rhyme or reason. like why do those walls connect at a 30° angle like that?? Why are there beams everywhere? What shape is that room even supposed to be???
It's just.. FUN. Literally when I saw the pictures on zillow for this place, I was like "weird!" But then saved it. And then returned to it over and over again while looking at other places and eventually I just knew it was the one. Like I couldn't get it out of my mind
But like, how could I pass it up? It was less than 200k$ and 2300 square feet on 5 acres of land down a wooded lane!! J-j-j-jackpot!
There are some totally weird and funky design choices and there's a lot I WANT to do.
Some examples (ignore lazy or nonexistent decorating, i havent gotten around to doing anything yet):
There's this nasty ass wall paneling throughout like 1/3rd of the house that looks like the walls of a motor home and I HATE IT. It's ugly and stupid and I tore off one panel to see what was underneath and guess what! It's normal wall! (Ignore hot lady calendar)
Except the glue from the paneling kinda ripped off parts of it but like THEY JUST GLUED THIS SHIT ON OVER WALLPAPER?? WHY? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? JUST REMOVE THE WALLPAPER AND PAINT, ITS SO MUCH EASIER THAN THROWING UP THIS UGLY BULLSHIT. ugh
So like yeah I wanna remove all of that, but it's gonna be a big project because there's a LOT and some of it is underneath the cabinets in the kitchen. Yikes.
Pretty much every ceiling is tall and slanted in some weird way, which makes me dread painting because how am I supposed to paint super high up like that when I only got a 7 foot ladder???
The house is 1.5 stories too, which means that there's a partial upstairs that is essentially just a little loft thing that looks out over the living room and then this small, strange room we affectionately refer to as "Travis's room" for reasons I think will soon be obvious....
We will honestly probably have to hire a contractor to come look at this upstairs area because part of the ceiling is like... collapsing? And all gross and dirty? (Kinda visible in that second photo) It's not attached to the roof so like, the outside is fine and isn't leaking or in danger of caving in but idk it's just kinda weird and I have no idea what the thought process was for this whole upstairs area. Like what is this narrow little sliver of room here? (Ignore hot wheels tracks)
And the ceiling fan next to the staircase is SO CLOSE lmao if it's on and you lean even a little bit over the railing, you're getting brained. Like in this pic I'm not reaching out, just lifting my arm to touch it (ignore dust, I don't clean and you can't make me)
The living room is really big but it's also weirdly shaped so organizing my furniture is a nightmare. Especially since there's a pellet stove (currently not working) on one wall. (ignore dirty socks, mismatched cheap lamps, messy cat tree corner behind couch, big ugly coffee table I got for free that used to be black until I sanded it down but then got bored and left it as is)
As of right now, I haven't done much to the place because wow apparently home improvement takes effort and costs money??? Go figure. And we've been pretty broke lately so I've just been collecting ideas for the time being.
I am absolutely gonna start painting this year though. My bedroom rn is just boring white so I wanna fix that. Maybe do something dark and warm like a dark brown or green or hmm something like that. The room I've been calling the "gym" (because that's where I put the treadmill) will probably get done next since it's such a blank slate and should be easy to fix up.
And I absolutely want to mess around with my office because the way it's arranged and decorated rn is lame. They painted a bunch of rooms an ugly ass flat brown color, including several closets, my office, and the spare bathroom so THATS got to go.
I want to start decorating for real, finally buy some frames for the art I've been collecting so I can hang them up on some of these tall ass walls.
I also have plans to make a catio out back and even have a bunch of wood and some of the frames constructed but I got bored and abandoned it haha 😄
Oh and I want to reeeeally start doing stuff with the outside. I want to plant trees and maybe do a garden this year, tear up the plants I don't want and replace them with ones I do, clean up the big ass plot of land that's just overgrown brush and weeds and maybe make it into an orchard? Get some fruit trees and make some cute little rows? Maybe I'll even build a fence and a pond and put flowers everywhere. You know, for the bugs 💌🐝🐛🦋🕷
Now i just need to win a million dollars so I can afford to do it all 🥲

Attic Insulation Rot Repair Ventilation
Are you tired of feeling like your home's temperature fluctuates with every season? Are you constantly dealing with rot or mold issues in your attic? Look no further! In today's post, we will be discussing everything you need to know about attic insulation, rot repair, and ventilation. These three components are critical for maintaining a comfortable and healthy living space. Don't let poor insulation or ventilation cause unnecessary headaches – keep reading to learn how to improve the overall quality of your home!
What is attic insulation?
There are many different types of attic insulation, but the most common is fiberglass insulation. This type of insulation is made from recycled glass and sand, and it is effective at trapping heat in your attic. Other types of attic insulation include cellulose insulation, which is made from recycled paper, and blown-in insulation, which is made from small pieces of wood or other materials. If you have an older home, chances are that your attic insulation is not adequate. This can lead to a number of problems, including excessive heat loss in the winter and unwanted temperature fluctuations in the summer. Additionally, poor attic ventilation can cause moisture buildup, which can lead to mold growth. If you think that your attic could benefit from additional insulation or improved ventilation, contact a professional contractor who specializes in attic projects. They will be able to assess your needs and recommend the best course of action for your home.
What is rot repair?
The first step in rot repair is to identify the source of the moisture. If the source of the moisture is not discovered and fixed, the rot will continue to spread and cause further damage. Once the source of moisture is found and fixed, the next step is to remove all of the rotted material. This may require chiseling out rotted wood or cutting away drywall that has been damaged by mold or mildew. The area should then be cleaned with a disinfectant solution to kill any remaining mold or mildew spores. Once the area is clean and dry, it can be repaired with new materials.
What is ventilation?
There are two types of ventilation: natural and mechanical. Natural ventilation occurs when warm air rises and cooler air moves in to replace it. This happens because warm air is less dense than cool air, so it rises. The wind also helps to move the air around. Mechanical ventilation uses fans to force air movement. In order for your attic to be properly ventilated, there must be a continuous flow of air. That’s why having both types of ventilation is important. Natural ventilation will help to create the airflow that you need, while mechanical ventilation will ensure that the airflow is constant.
How do I know if my attic needs insulation?
There are a few key things to look for when you're trying to determine whether or not your attic needs insulation. First, take a look at your energy bills. If you've noticed a sharp increase in your heating and cooling costs, it's possible that your attic is the culprit. Another tell-tale sign is if you can see sunlight streaming through the ceiling in your attic. This means that there are gaps in your insulation, and heat is escaping. Finally, if you have any concerns about moisture or mold in your attic, this is another indication that insulation may be necessary.
How do I know if my attic needs rot repair?
If your attic has any of the following signs, then it may need rot repair: -Water stains on the ceiling or walls -Peeling paint or wallpaper -Mold or mildew growth -A musty smell -Visible wood decay If you're not sure whether your attic needs rot repair, it's always best to consult with a professional. They will be able to assess the damage and recommend the best course of action.
How do I know if my attic needs ventilation?
If your attic is inaccessible, or if you can't see any visible vents, there are a few telltale signs that indicate poor ventilation. Look for: 1. Excessive heat in the attic during the summer months 2. Ice dams or icicles on the roof in winter 3. Condensation on the underside of the roof decking 4. Musty odors in the attic 5. Signs of mold or mildew growth in the attic
How can I improve the insulation in my attic?
One of the best ways to improve the insulation in your attic is to add more insulation. This can be done by either adding batting or blown-in insulation. You will want to make sure that the insulation is properly installed so that it does not settle and create gaps. Another way to improve the insulation in your attic is to make sure that it is properly ventilated. This can be done by installing vents or opening up existing ones.
How can I improve the ventilation in my attic?
It is important to ensure that your attic is properly ventilated in order to protect your home from damage caused by heat and moisture. There are a few ways that you can improve the ventilation in your attic: -Install soffit vents: Soffit vents are installed at the eaves of your roof and allow fresh air to enter into your attic space. -Install gable vents: Gable vents are installed at the gables of your roof (the triangular spaces at the ends of the roof) and help to exhaust hot air from your attic. -Install ridge vents: Ridge vents are installed along the ridge line of your roof and allow hot air to escape out of your attic.
Conclusion
Attic insulation, rot repair, and ventilation are all important home maintenance needs. Ensuring that your attic is properly protected from the elements can help extend the life of your roof and roofing materials as well as improve air quality in your home. Taking care of any damage or rot before it becomes a major problem will save you money in repairs down the road. Installing proper ventilation to ensure that moisture doesn’t accumulate in your attic can help reduce costly repairs due to mold growth or water damage. Following these simple steps will go a long way towards protecting one of the most vital parts of your house from future issues.

Preparing Your Home For House Painting
A house paint job can give your home a new and fresh look. It can also breathe life into an older home.
When it comes to painting your home, there are several factors that can affect the cost. Some of these are the type of wall substrate or siding that you have, labor, and the kind of paint.
Interior Painting
Painting your home's interior can give it a fresh, clean look and increase its value. However, before you begin a paint project, there are some preparations you will need to do.
The first step in interior house painting is to inspect your walls for any damage. This includes holes and loose patches of old plaster.
Repairing damaged areas is important because it helps to ensure your new paint adheres to the surface properly.
Another important thing to do is to make sure your wall surfaces are clean and dry. Dirt, oils, chemicals and water can compromise the bond between paint and your surface and will flake off over time.
You should also move furniture away from the walls, if possible. This will help to prevent any paint splatter from damaging the upholstery on your furniture.
Exterior Painting
Painting a house’s exterior is a big job that needs to be done with care and attention. Preparing the surfaces before painting will ensure that paint adheres to the surface and looks great when it’s finished.
Before getting a quote from a painting contractor, walk around your home and see what areas you need to prep. Remove any outdoor fixtures and trim bushes to make it easier for your painters to get around the home.
You should also power wash the exterior to remove any mildew, mold, dirt, or debris. It’s also important to clean the windows and doors before painting.
You should also avoid painting your exterior during rainy weather. If it’s wet, the paint may not dry properly, which can result in blistering and peeling.
Power Washing
If you’re planning to paint your home, power washing is a great way to remove stains and grime before you apply a new coat of paint. This will save you time and money, as well as make your home look fresher.
When used regularly, power washing can also help extend the life of your siding and other materials. It also can clean off weeds, moss, and algae that build up on driveways or other surfaces.
Professional power washers use top-quality equipment to ensure that they’re cleaning your property safely and effectively. They’ll also know what cleaning materials to use and how much pressure to apply to different areas of your property.
Using a power washer on your own comes with greater risk than you might think. It can damage your property if you don’t use the proper techniques or the right equipment. This is why it’s best to call a local professional to handle the task.
Wallpaper Removal
If you have a wallpaper in your house that is outdated or not quite what you want it to be, the time has come to remove it. Fortunately, it can be a fairly simple and easy process with just a little patience.
The first step is to prepare the room where you plan to work on removing the wallpaper. This includes clearing out curtains, outlets, switchplates, and artwork.
Once that's done, cover the floor and baseboards with a drop cloth to protect them from any excess water. Next, tape up the walls with painter's tape to create a watertight barrier for the area.
Then, mix a homemade solution using fabric softener and hot water or distilled white vinegar and hot water to dissolve the wallpaper glue. Apply this mixture to the wall and allow it to soak in for a few minutes. Then, use a scraper or putty knife to peel it up. Repeat this method until the wallpaper is removed.

According to interior designers, here are the top 10 ways to add luxury to your home
Remodelling a bathroom
Remodelling your bathroom is a wise place to start. Ensure that all fixtures and plumbing are up-to-date and functioning properly. Modern lighting, contemporary tiles, and luxurious flooring add a sense of luxury to a room.
The Plants will renew it
To instantly brighten up your space, you can add fake or real plants. The best way to add colour is with plants. A vintage, boho, or aesthetic vase or pot can add greatly to your space.
Wallpapers
Adhesive wallpapers have become a rage. These wallpapers are easy to apply and can be purchased from most online shops. This adhesive wallpaper is perfect for people who want to temporarily restore their space or try out new colours and designs in their homes.
Temporary wallpaper also has the advantage of being removable so you can change it whenever you like.
Be creative with your textiles
Your space will look dull and boring if you have a sofa, chair and cushions all in the same texture and fabric. You can make your space more appealing and dimensional by replacing boring pillows with a variety of textures and sizes.
Shades of neutrality
Everybody wants their home to be peaceful and tranquil. Neutral colours are a good choice. Neutrals are timeless and trendy so you don't have to redecorate. If you're looking for a quick update, replace the artwork, furniture, or lighting.
Upgrade your Hardware to Create a Luxury House Interior
You can instantly improve your space by replacing old hardware with sleeker, more modern pieces for a fraction of the cost. It can be used on kitchen cabinets, bathroom cases, or bedroom furniture to give new life to an outdated space.
Lighting Upgrades
Lighting is another easy way to bring luxury to your home. Light with warm tones can add a sense of luxury to a room. Lamps are the most relatable examples of decorative light, as they draw attention to specific features. Luxurious house interiors can be enhanced by adding stylish and soothing lighting. Hanging lights above your dining table and a long side lamp beside your sofa are good additions.
Make Space
A great way to make your space feel more luxurious is to open it. This can be done by simply rearranging, decluttering or investing in storage products.
When there isn't enough space, you can extend it by clearing out unwanted furniture and stuff. Your balcony can be decorated with sitting areas.
A luxurious touch
Your home can be adorned with high-end products like antique gold, solid wood, and marble. To instantly add luxury and style to your home, replace modern ornaments with antique ornaments or books.

Long-Term Effects of Water Damage: Why Prompt Restoration is Crucial for Tigard, OR Homes
Water damage is often underestimated, with many homeowners addressing only the visible issues without considering the hidden, long-term effects. Left untreated, water damage can lead to severe structural problems, mold growth, and a decrease in property value. For Tigard, OR residents, Cougar Restoration Inc. provides expert water damage restoration services to mitigate these risks and ensure your home remains safe and secure.
What Happens When Water Damage is Ignored?
Water damage doesn’t stop after the water has been removed. If not properly treated, the following long-term effects can occur:
Structural Damage: Water weakens wood, drywall, and concrete over time, compromising the integrity of walls, ceilings, and floors.
Mold Growth: Moisture trapped in hidden areas creates a perfect environment for mold, which can spread quickly and pose health risks.
Electrical Hazards: Prolonged exposure to water can damage wiring and electrical systems, increasing the risk of short circuits or fires.
Rot and Decay: Wood and other organic materials can rot, leading to costly repairs and the potential need for replacements.
Health Risks: Mold and bacteria resulting from water damage can cause respiratory issues, allergies, and other health problems.
Signs of Long-Term Water Damage
Recognizing the signs of long-term water damage can help you take action before it worsens:
Warped or Buckling Floors: Prolonged exposure to moisture causes wood and laminate flooring to warp.
Peeling Paint or Wallpaper: Persistent dampness leads to bubbling or peeling finishes.
Musty Odors: A consistent musty smell indicates mold growth in hidden areas.
Discolored Walls or Ceilings: Stains or patches suggest ongoing moisture problems.
Cracks in Foundation or Walls: Water intrusion weakens the foundation, leading to visible cracks.
If you notice any of these signs, it’s crucial to contact professionals like Cougar Restoration for an assessment.

Preventative Measures: We address the root cause of the water damage to prevent recurrence, such as fixing leaks or improving drainage systems.
The Cost of Delaying Restoration
Ignoring water damage can lead to exponentially higher repair costs. For example, a small leak left untreated can lead to extensive mold remediation and structural repairs, far exceeding the cost of immediate restoration. Addressing water damage promptly with Cougar Restoration saves you time, money, and stress.
Preventing Long-Term Water Damage
While professional restoration is essential, preventative maintenance can reduce the risk of water damage and its effects:
Inspect Plumbing and Appliances: Regularly check for leaks, corrosion, or faulty connections.
Maintain Gutters and Downspouts: Clear debris to ensure proper water flow away from your home.
Seal Windows and Doors: Prevent water intrusion by inspecting and sealing any gaps.
Control Indoor Humidity: Use dehumidifiers or ensure proper ventilation to reduce moisture buildup.
