good morning. neuvillette with a dragon!child!reader who, once everything blows over in fontaine, goes to find furina and gives her the biggest hug. they've known her for a very long time. and many times, perhaps she almost, almost cracked to them... but her resolve stood strong every time, and she would backtrack with a laugh and some dramatic flair.
while they can't understand how badly she must have suffered, because they aren't human and their mind is not so fragile, they can at least imagine it. and they can't help but think that maybe she doesn't want to be alone right now; she's been alone for five hundred years. if she wants to be left alone... that's fine, and they know she'll tell them that, but at the very least, as one of her best friends (perhaps her very best one), should they not go check on her?
idk i'm going to play her story quest today probably so i will return with more thoughts!

30 // amity
Breath slow. Eyes open. Hands steady, for once. It was nice not to feel how much of her strength she’d lost and still be able to aim straight.
When was the last time she did this?
When was the last time she did this and felt something good?
She squared her posture, pulled her arm back tight, and stared down the first bottle she’d perched on a rock. She took her time. She felt through herself, the wind, the savory calm. And when she was ready, it wasn't a matter of letting go in the way she was used to. Instead, she gripped tight.
She squeezed the trigger.
Her arms jerked, but she held herself steady. It wasn’t as loud as she remembered, though the shot rang through the desert and scared the nearby birds into flight or silence. And her target? Sif’s heart nearly burst into flames in her chest when all she could see of it were glittering shards of brown glass littering the dirt. But she pulled a deep breath. Then another. Measured. Composed.
For a beat.
Her boot came down hard into the gravel and her arms went up in the air, barking a laugh at herself as she pulled the weapon—this hard-won trophy, a symbol that she wasn’t a failure but merely changed—close to her chest to feel the heat off of it.
“Gods, damn it. Finally,” she sighed, an irrepressible smile on her lips.
If only she had more than a precious few bullets, she might have fired off another round or two, become more familiar with the weapon, built her confidence and learned her limits. But this? This small, long-sought victory was enough for now. Enough to assure her that she could still be good for something. That he alone wouldn't have to bear the responsibility of protecting them both.
Spinner would have Her way of turning her fortunes tomorrow, Sif wagered, but today? Today was hers.
She settled down in the shade of the ironwood under which they’d made camp and set the weapon aside in favor of a flask, lifting it to the heavens in thanks before bringing it to her lips. As a bitter taste flooded her tongue, she was given pause, then huffed to herself.
A battle-in-progress that she was fighting on a quieter front. Tea.

Gods, this'll be 10 years since FNAF first released huh?
I need to organise a special artwork AAAA
Also, about that, funny story, I found out about FNAF from a game known as ✨Animal Jam.✨ Had I not been coaxed to watch the trailer for the first game from random players on AJ and my friend the next year actually getting me into FNAF via his drawing of the Marionette during a break in our primary school concert lmao, I wouldn't have grown up and had such a tight bond with this franchise.
If you count little 10 yr me watching the first FNAF trailer when it released instead of 11-12 year old me getting properly into the series around FNAF 3 -> FNAF 4 Halloween Edition, then I've been with FNAF for 10 years this year... Or 9 if you rather choose the other option.
Nevertheless, I'm shocked It's progressed as much as it has in the 10 years it's been around. I'm grateful for the newcomers loving the series I grew up with and the oldies who have been around since the start. I hope FNAF lasts for longer and I hope I can be apart of this for a long while GAH

not my mother having a fucking meltdown at me solely because I recounted the pain doctor's appointment slightly differently to her to the psychiatrist.
maybe it's for the best she didn't stay for the gyn because then she'd probably be actively gaslighting me about how all the disgusting things that happened in that room didn't "really" happen that way, stop lying to make people look bad. that stuff didn't happen but even if it did it didn't happen like that and even if it did I'm just overreacting over nothing.
