At first it was only Ennaur Alouette from Nijisanji's fourth wave Ethyria but when Holo Tempus HQ came, I added 4 to the list and then another 4 when Vanguard debuted!!

I love all the boys but recently though, my stamina is only enough to watch Enna and Axel *cries*

okay let me see if i can word this well enough caiuse im not Deep into vtubers

there is a vocal minority of fans in vtubing (corpo) spaces that have a very ''girls and boys must be seperate'' attitude, these people are predominently on the girl vtubing side, where they see male colleagues of female vtubers as inherently predatory; they do not want male vtubers interacting with their oshi, and if there is a mixed-gender collab they will talk about how the male vtuber ''forced himself'' onto the female vtuber to get this collab, and talk about how these men are using female vtubers or that theyre secretly making the female vtubers uncomfortable and the fans will look for insanely minute behaviors in the collab to ''show'' that ''uhm achtually my oshi (the woman) didnt want to do this collab, the guy is making her uncomfortable!!"

this happened with vesper noir, who liked to collaberate with our kronii and iirc some other vtuber women? and people claimed he was ''ignoring his genmates to encroach on ''womens territory'''' nbecause he often collaberated with more women in his corpo than the men he was in the same group with.

People wil also try to claim that male vtubers ''dont actually have it that hard and theyre given everything on a silver platter'' whenever male vtubers get something sooner than the girl vtubers of the same general release era; some small group of people are currently saying that male vtubers are spoiled compared to female vtubers because Vanguard, who have been out for nearly a year and a hald, are getting their 3D models before holo ADVENT, who have only been out for under a year.

This entirely ignores things like how female vtubers (ADVENT included) routinely get new oufits, often seasonally, while male vtubers, especially the EN male vtubers, typically wait longer for outfit changes, and aren't seasonal.

holo ADVENT got a new years outfit at their half year mark, while the Vanguard (and Tempus) boys only got new outfits over a year (or almost two for tempus) of their debut.

Now the reasoning why the female vtubers get stuff sooner is very understandeable; female vtubers bring in more audience quicker than male vtubers. Despite ADVENT being the younger group, they have outpaced Vanguard in views/subs

It's commonly talked about that male vtubers have it harder getting off the ground than female vtubers and often don't get things as quick as their female colleagues because they simply don't rake in the views that would make new outfits/3D models monetarily viable. But my problem comes with how people interpret this; they immediately take this as an attack on female vtubers, how ''actually theyre beingf deprived of less studio time/their outfits are getting delayed/etc" all for ''the boys to sap their chances'', when what's actually happening here is like textbook case of female vtuber fans being misogynistic

They see the female vtubers they watch as helpless, as needing protection from these men ''barging into their spaces and taking their resources''. Vtubing is one of the few places where men are surprisingly not actually that popular compared to their female colleagues, because a lot of vtubing as it currently is, mostly within corpo vtubing, feels on the verge of objectification and infantilization. This goes into the whole ''forced moe high voice and young looking models'' conversation, but I want to go more towards the ''vtubing fans are perpetuating misogyny with their favorite female vtuber in ways they don't even recognize is misogynistic''.

This is everything from the pressure to make female vtubers engage in bait content like talking about their breasts/weight, acting as a motherly figure to their audience, or playing the part of the cute girl entertaining them. A lot of clipper content of these women often revolve around them saying/getting prompted to say sexual things, or them acting clueless, and a lot of fans act as if they need to personally protect these ''sweet innocent girls'' from ''evils'' and ''degenerates'' (oftentimes; other male vtubers, despite a lot of these fans being men themselves).

It really feels like they don't see these women as people with agency who are here to entertain, and moreso really hound on the fact that they're women and engage in a transactional ''we support you, so you must give us what we want'' type setups; we give you money, now give us ara ra, we give you money now give us roleplay asmr, we give you money now give us a boob show, we protect you and so you must love us, etc etc --- which is the actual perpetuated misogyny in vtubing, not ''MEN are taking OVER WOMENS SPACES!!" that vtuber fans often claim when a random vtuber guy from a different sect of the company gets an outfit a little sooner than a girl. Does any of this make sense. It drives me insane listening to these people sometimes

i really forgot that vtuber fans have a girls vs boys mindset of 9 year olds sometimes and its crazy that they think its X version of misogyny when really its a Y version of misogyny that they dont even know theyre perpetuating

There’s something about drawing the HoloTempus boys that really drives me to push myself with my art! They’re so fun to draw! Mainly I’ve been drawing Bettel and Flayon, but I have drawn Hakka before! I’m cooking a few pieces of art! Will be posting some of them very soon ;)

They really pulled me out of an art slump! Plus drawing them so much got me to feel more comfortable with my replacement drawing tablet and FireAlpaca 😸 I just put on their past lives while drawing and they make it so entertaining.
