Aspects holidays offer affordable, luxury holiday lets to holidaymakers who want to experience all the joys of the Cornish countryside and seaside. This past week I had the pleasure of staying their apartment ‘To the Lighthouse’ situates in the beating heart of St Ives. A period style apartment that has Edwardian charm with some modern twists. The apartment boasts a spacious living area with comfortable furniture, a well stocked library, TV and DVD player and a stunning sea view. I felt really at home in this room. It was cosy, comfortable and homely. There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has again a lovely sea view. A king size bed with fitted cupboards and wardrobes all round. The bed is really comfy and you get a good nights sleep. The one thing this room lacks is a TV and a lack of power points! The second bedroom was fairly spacious, no view though and the single beds weren’t that comfortable. Onto the large kitchen diner and this room again is generous in size, comfortable and has all the characteristic charm you’d expect to find in an Edwardian or Victorian townhouse. The kitchen is modern and very easy to use. Again it was a room you could quite happily spend a few hours in, perfect for hoisting a dinner party or a large family meal. The bathroom which has a bath and shower is moderate in size. The shower pressure isn’t that great but it gets the job done. All in all this is a fantastic apartment. Great for a small family and all round user friendly. There is no wheelchair access to the apartment sadly but aspect have plenty of other properties which do. I found it to be charming, cosy, nostalgic and comfortable. Sunflower Comedy Club ha ha Halloween

This Halloween the Sunflower will be returning with their popular comedy club’s ha ha Halloween performance. This year the finest up and coming comedians across Northern Ireland and the comedy pros will be performing their new sets or some skits they are currently working on. This is the perfect event to enjoy some laughs on the scariest night of the year with friends and family. Dressing up is encouraged and the best costume will be awarded the prize of an ice cold pint.

The event will take place on Sunday 31st October at 7 pm. Tickets are £10.00 with a £1.01 Fee.

The Treehouse / Cabaret Supperclub Belfast

The Treehouse is returning this year with their spooky Halloween movie nights on their cosy, heated rooftop terrace. On 31st October they will be screening the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show where you can dress up and sing along to the movie’s hit songs. Ticket prices include homemade brownies, cookies, sweet treats, popcorn and more! Throughout the movie, you can also order food and drinks from their movie night menu.

The event will take place on Sunday 31st October at 6.30 pm and will finish at 12 am. Tickets for the event cost £20.

The Dirty Onion & Yardbird

The Cathedral Quarter is one of Belfast’s most popular areas with restaurants, pubs, and vibrant street art. This Halloween The Dirty Onion & Yardbird, located in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter, will be hosting their popular Halloween Pooch Social. There will be live music and a fair selling Scooby Snacks and locally made products and accessories for your furry friends.
