Hi!! Love me some poison, you can do so much with it!

I don't know much about poisons myself but a friend of mine has them as a special interest and it is really interesting to see how they work!

I don't have a favourite because there's so many options!

Fast acting poisons that have other characters scramble for medicine/an antidote

Magic poisons in fantasy settings that send everyone on a big quest to save whumpee with the power of friendship

Poison that makes whumpee loopy as a first symptom so everyone else assumes they're drunk

Posions that cause horrible pain!

Antidotes that cause horrible pain!!

Poisons that won't kill whumpee if used in just the right dose but will still cause all sorts of side effects (bonus points if whumper is never that careful when measuring)

Whumpee that ingested poison on purpose and is getting progressively more and more sleepy as caretaker panicks and tries to get them to explain exactly what they did so they can fix it

what inspired u to have a cyberpunk theme to your WIP and how does it affect the au and story?

Good question! I watched Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for the first time this april and got addicted to the whole concept. I jumped headfirst into the rabbit-hole known as cyberpunk media and have never looked back. I think the whole concept is fascinating and I could not resist creating my own world with a queer cast of characters.

The original cyberpunk genre/theme allows for different people to be featured and important and I really liked that. What I didn't want is to make an "us and them" perspective with my queer characters and the antagonists. This often gets done within media and frankly, I'm sick of that.

Another factor of cyberpunk media I really enjoy is the almost fantasy-like sci-fi elements. Neon Genesis Evangelion with their EVAs and the merging of them and the pilots. Ghost in the Shell with the highly developed ai robots that are so realistic. Minority Report and their visions of crimes. etc. Those elements are so highly valued and worked on within the series that it evolves into something the creators never expected. I love it, if you can't tell.

I just think it's fascinating and I really wanted to make my own world in my own way. Thank you for the ask!! ❤️
