Tumblr media
well i'm not sure i even remember what most houses were supposed to represent but baekhyun is NOT a gryffindor lmao. chanyeol got him and ksoo wrong
gryffindor: chanyeol, jongdae. that definitely tracks.
slytherin: baekhyun, sehun. kyungsoo is not a slytherin just because he's grumpy.
ravenclaw: junmyeon, kyungsoo
hufflepuff: minseok, kai

About two four months had passed, months filled with training. Minseok and Jongdae worked with you almost every day, giving you everything they had. It was hard but one on one was nothing. You didn't see Namjoon or Seokjin around much, only Jungkook and Hoseok. They were skilled in combat, their smiles bright.
Jungkook was better in close contact, brown hair pulled back as dark eyes turned sinister, while Hoseok usually worked with long-range weaponry. He had locks close to red on his head, a gaze sharp like an eagle. The two of them built a team, just like Minseok and Jongdae, something you learned from the many late nights.
The rebels were one team but they valued never being alone, which led to a system of two people making sure the other was safe. It was their way of keeping the majority alive. But apparently wasn't it something healers had, as long as they didn't go out in combat. Jongdae told you almost everything, how their lives had been built and what rules there were. They thought of you as one of them, a part of their mindset...Maybe you had accepted them, never smiling but you spoke more, retoring sarcastic words which made Jongdae howl with laughter and occasionally huff in annoyance.
You felt at home with the two special men, their ever different stands on life which seemed to keep them close to one another. Even Jungkook and Hoseok made you a little less of a feather floating in the wind. But there was still one thing you couldn't talk about and that was your parents, the mere thought of them made the walls too close. Maybe there was some sort of repressed memory, something your child brain thought was too scary.
“Y/n?”your eyes snapped from staring at the wall, finding the leader smiling down at you. Namjoon stood tall above your sittig form, no one else around.”Is everything okay?”
You snuck away to be alone for just a second, finding a small room where you sat. Sure, you did like the others but going from not working with many people and being a lieutenant weren't easy, the constant work with keeping their feelings in mind and trying to understand somethings they did.
“Yes, sir.”
“You don't have to call me sir.”Namjoon sighed, sitting down by your side. He had a new scar by his mouth, small enough to be invisible for untrained eyes.” I have some questions I would like to ask you, they would probably be great help in what we are about to start..”
His words were ominous, surely hinting to a war you weren't sure anyone was ready for. Every since you arrived at the rebels, you didn't know anything that in the republic but it didn't mean you were clueless. They wanted the rebels gone and over time had you started to understand people a little more, making the higher ups far from human.
“Okay..”
“It’s about the republic and what you know..”you weren't surprised, eyes staying on your fingers. There was invisible blood on them, blood you tried to scrub away but it was still there.”Tell me anything you feel comfortable with..”
“They tried searching for you in the sky when I last heard about strategies but I don't think they will do it for a long time
”your gaze rose to the wall, a fan swishing over your head. Everyone was so young and yet they had to lead a revolution for rights you didn't think about before. Suddenly did you remember the book you wrote, hoped that it was destroyed when the hospital exploded.
“They have already stopped
”Namjoon, you learned, was only 20, so much responsibility laying on his shoulders at the tender age. It didn't make sense to you but if no one stepped up, would nothing change..”A base was bombed, most of the people in it died..I think around 80 made it..”
You didn't like the feelings in your body, cold and nauseous, hot and clawing. They were dead and you could have been the one killing them.
“Junmyeon has been asking about you and how you’re doing..”Namjoon saw the color start draining from your face so he changed the subject.”I’ve told him that you’re doing really well and seems to like Jongdae and Minseok..But maybe you can call him so he calms down a little?”
“Okay..but I-I want to tell you something
”your head felt like mush, heart picking up its pace. Stress never faced you in battle, it didn't matter if Minseok tried to impale you with ice, you didn't care, but the second you started to think about everything, were you shaking. Guilt, you guessed you felt guilt.”..They have hidden buildings where they birth children for the armies..”
Namjoon stared at you, his orbs darkening to a thunder night sky. No one knew about it and you had only seen a sip bit of a video, the dying  body which would never survive the birth. You weren't supposed to care so you didn't, brain forcing the images to burn.
“I don't know where but I know where they keep the videos..”he stood up, towering with broad shoulders. Namjoon was beyond rage at your confession.
“Come with me, we need to speak with Junmyeon..”
-
Baekhyun ate quietly, thoughts turning in his head. You weren't back and Yixing was always busy, even after he returned..The light bender had no clue what he was doing, only that the doctor ran around and smiled anytime he saw Baekhyun. They didn't share a room anymore..well maybe they did but Yixing never slept there so Baekhyun wasn't sure what to believe.
At least, he wasn't alone. Chanyeol and Sehun were always there. Goofed around and laughed, even when they were training. The two of them were close and made Baekhyun smile with little effort. It was weird how fast things could change, only short of half a year had passed and he felt like he belonged somewhere.
Everytime Baekhyun looked in the mirror could he see muscles on his arms and a fuller face due to the fact that he got to eat. His skin wasn’t dull and it had a slightly darker tone to it now, made him more alive to the eyes of bystanders. He was appealing to look at, Chanyeol would often tease him because of the multiple females and males sending him long gazes, but he couldn't find one he actually felt something for. It was something he couldn't tell anyone, since it was a lie. He couldn't find anyone here but he would often think about someone somewhere else.
Baekhyun coughs slightly, breaking his gaze from the table just for it to get stuck on the chair before him. You circled his mind whenever he got a moment for himself. He wasn't sure what feeling you brought him but he knew that no one else occupied his brain as much as you did. Your eyes were empty but you cried and now when he felt safe in himself, was he remembering the shimmer in them, the depths of a well with high walls built on lies. People never knew anything more about you than that you were a lieutenant, that it was your choice to kill for them, but Baekhyun knew more, just like Yixing and probably Junmyeon. You were just human like everyone else. Human with a buried heart, guarded by thorns and locked behind mirror orbs.
“Sup Baek!”Chanyeol broke him from his trans, the clatter of tupperware brought him back to the canteen.
Sehun sat to his right while a boy named Kyungsoo sat to Chanyeol’s life. Kyungsoo had come and gone over the course of three months, his eyes dark but easily flammable. Baekhyun still felt the ache from training the first time with Kyungsoo who was completely ruthless, seeding stone after stone right at his face.
It had been extremely tiring for Baekhyun since he had to use copious amounts of energy to destroy the blocks but in the end did he manage...it was not like passing out and had to be pushed aside by Sehun’s wind or anything. Kyungsoo was a little nicer the times after but still didn't stop until everyone in the room was panting.
“Still not gonna give Soha a chance?”Baekhyun cringed at the name, remembering the teleporting girl and how she turned up while he just finished showering.
“Please..can we forget that?”Chanyeol snickered before shrugging his shoulders.
Everyone started eating, the rustle around them fading into a slight buzz, but Baekhyun suddenly saw Junmyeon making his way over them, his stepps fast.
Sehun noticed the slight confusion in his friend's face, fork stopping just for his mouth.
“Kyungsoo can you come with me?”four pairs of eyes rested on the eldest torne face. Junmyeon had aged due to his position and his past, everything the still young man had seen.”It’s urgent
”
“Is something wrong?” Chanyeol was ready to leave and fight in a second, arms tense as he almost stood up from the chair.
Baekhyun learned over time that the power one possessed was growing from your personality in some way, but he didn't tell anyone this, even as Chanyeol with fire in his heart held his head high, or when Sehun moved through space quietly, observing everything with a fleeting touch.
“I need to talk with Kyungsoo and it’s important but right now it is not dangerous..”with that,  both of them walked away.
Watching them, hair moving with every step, Baekhyun had a feeling that he would be seeing the one he thought about sooner than later.
-
Soft sounds of beeping and turning paper floated in Yixing’s head, fingers gracing over every file he had as the room was peaceful. He spent most of his time by his bed, flipping through the documents he mangade to steal. Your parents were among them but the words were nothing of help, only small bits of useless information since the republic didn't know who they were.
Sighing, Yixing pressed his fingers against his drumming temples, the slowly rising headache making him irritated. After the explosion and his injury had the headaches been more regular, creeping up his spine to hammer at his skull. But it’s whatever, he’s fine even when feeling in his right leg starts to fade.
Suddenly there was a small sound of sheets moving and his dark gaze found honey eyes on a honey boy who had paled slightly.
“Jongin?”
-
“How come we get to use the tunnels now?”your question made Minseok send you a side glance, his packing movements stopping for a millisecond.
You had changed, maybe not as much as Baekhyun according to what Junmyeon said, but there was something hiding in your gaze. There was a fire in your movements, another force he couldn't feel in the beginning.
Minseok never knew you parents but it was your mother who found him and
, she found all of them and saved them. You had her lips when they weren't pulled into a deep frown, he wondered if you knew..that you still had a connection to them even though you really had no clue who they were.
“Because they trust you more now?”Jongdae grinned, his hand coming to rustle your hair even if he wasn't that much taller than you.”You’re on our side now so I’ll let you in on all our secret tunnels..”
Jongdae laughed, leaning closer to your ear so Minseok could hear what he was about to say.
“Even the ones they don't know about..”his smirk was playful, eyes shimmering like they always did.”Hanhee won't tell..”
Minseok turned to stare at them both, the sheepish look on Jongdae and your indifferent face. He sighed, having slept too bad to scold Jongdae.
“Come on, they will be here soon..”
So after four months would you return to the place you woke up in, you would meet them all again...and everything would begin.

(Suchen) fall to your knees
hp!au. There is no way in fresh hell he’s going to put his mouth anywhere near Baekhyun’s disgusting feet. He’s got more pride than that. And, in a choice between kissing Baekhyun’s gross feet and kissing Kim Junmyeon, the latter will always sound better in any situation.

Quintessence
Tumblr media
(gif not mine, credit to the owner)
Hi my name is Hannah and I’m a Harry Potter nerd. This is my Exo Hogwarts AU with our Chenchen, find the other Exo boys here. I love writing these, they give me such nostalgic feelings - and I hope you like reading them.
Message me here, I love hearing off you
Suggestive Material
“Ugh.”
She made a disgruntled noise at the sight of the absolute bane of her existence. She scurried away from the aisle quickly before he caught sight of her.  She got a curious look from another student as she did so, nearly tripping over him as she rounded the corner back into the aisle of dark arts books.
Kim Jongdae was annoying - that’s all she could say on her classmate.
The wizard had been a pain in her backside since the first train ride to Hogwarts. She remembered being stuck in the same carriage as him, both muggle borns they had no connections or any decent knowledge of any pure blooded families to make friends right away. Naive and a little anxious of attending a magical school that she couldn’t believe she was going to be a part of she tried to befriend him - little did she know he was an asshole.  She also remembered the dread and resentment when she was placed in Ravenclaw alongside him.
Since he mocked her on the train for her request in friendship - something Jongdae had since blamed on his nerves - she treated him with disdain. Some would call it chemistry, banter even but she denied it whenever anyone mentioned it. For that he made a point to annoy her every day.
She huffed as she realised the book she needed was in the same aisle as him. She was taking Charms, her favourite class and Jongdae just happened to be in that aisle. She prayed to the muggle god that he was only browsing; please don’t be taking charms this year, p l e a s e.
She concentrated on a dark arts book, tracing her fingers down the spine as the very voice that rubbed her the wrong way sounded in the distance.
“You scared of me now?” It was mocking and it was him.
Rolling her eyes. “As if.”
“So we’re still doing this in our last year?”
They spoke through the books that separated them but she could very well imagine the look on his face. The smirk, the eyes that saw right through her.
“Doing what?”
“Pretending like we hate each other.” His voice was blunt, matter-of-fact and it made her pause.
The statement was new, usually their insults and sarcastic words had them going around in circles till someone interfered. The tension always thickened around him, she couldn’t place her finger on what had grown to bother her but the tension always buzzed with electricity that made both of them uncomfortable after a while. Sometimes he would walk away or she would without solving what they bickered about but neither of them mentioned it - it was like they subconsciously knew the issue but it was buried so deep that no one could say it.
“I’ve never said I hated you.” She muttered after a brief moment.
“That’s comforting.” Jongdae replied. “What book are you looking for?”
She could only imagine what the both of them looked like, talking to each other from opposite sides of the shelf, only a foot apart but with Flourish and Bolts being somewhat empty she hardly cared.
“Quintessence, a Quest
” She answered, reluctantly.
She made the decision to round the corner again, and looked at him only to find him staring back smug. Her belly fluttered and she frowned. Jongdae held the very charms book she was after and as much as she wanted to reach for it, something kept her rooted to the floor. She had known him for almost 7 years she knew his face very well, and usually glaring at it was something she was very professional at - yet at that moment it was difficult to look at him in the eye.
“Can I have it please?” Her voice was edgy and Jongdae’s tongue licked the corner of his mouth.
“This is the last one.” He said with complacency. “And I need it too.”
Irritated with him and her own stupid body she swallowed. “You are not doing charms this year.”
“Oh I am.” He had the nerve to smile.
She was aware that he school library would have the book and that she’d be able to write notes from it. She didn’t necessarily need to buy her own but there was nothing like owning your own spellbook - and she’d never run away from the opportunity to bicker with Jongdae.
She sighed. “Give me the book.”
“I was here first.”
“I’ll hex you.” She spat.
She didn’t have her wand with her but he didn’t have to know that. Jongdae’s smile only got wider and she noticed that he had taken a few steps towards her.  He was wearing normal clothes along with a racy leather jacket that complimented him well. Well enough that as she analysed him she felt her belly do that thing again. This isn’t good.
“You always say that but you never do it.” Jongdae teased. “And you don’t have your wand with you.”
The comment threw her and she folded her arms. “You don’t know that.”
Jongdae tilted his head, leaning on the shelf, the book still in his hand at his side. His smirk and the way he held himself two feet in front of her had her feeling irritable and funny in places.
“You’re wearing a dress with no pockets.” He began, looking at her body head to toe. “And your bag is too small to carry a wand.”
She had never hated him more than she did at that moment. “Fuck you.” It was all that she could think of.
“I thought I made it obvious that you can.” His tone was sly, his eyes gleamed with mischief and she dare say; seduction.
“What?” Everything stood still after he had spoke.
She felt the heat in her cheeks in an instant, the closing of her throat as her mouth went dry. Jongdae was uncharacteristically quiet as he closed the distance between them, his eyes never leaving her face. She leaned away, her eyes widening as everything began to fall into place. The tension was never uncomfortable, it was never anger nor spite; it was utterly sexual.
“What are you scared of?”
She could feel his body touching hers as he stood before her, the charms book long forgotten. She pressed her hands against his chest, a half assed attempt to get him to move away from her. His face was closer, his voice fully touching her in ways it never has - in ways she had never admitted to.
Jongdae kissed her then without another word.
Her body sizzled, her mouth claimed by fire and she didn’t hate it.
The hands on his chest relaxed, sliding tentatively up to hold his shoulders. The soft sound of him dropping the book was distant in her mind as he maneuvered her into the shelf, tucking her between his body and the books pressing into her back. She was kissing him back without realising it, years of insulting him and the rivalry being thrown away in an instant as he held her body.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer because she was an idiot if she denied how good he was at kissing. The way his mouth slanted over hers, licking into her mouth till she was pooling between her legs within seconds was greatly unfair but she couldn’t find an ounce of anxiety in her.
Jongdae’s hands travelled up her sides, dangerously tracing the sides of her breasts with his thumbs. She could have combusted into a million pieces as years and years of build up frustration and sexual desire within them both poured out into the kiss.
People came to look for books in their aisle - quickly dispersing at the sight - but they were inseparable as they couldn’t get enough of each other’s taste. The thigh that pressed against her wet heat through her dress had her quaking and she fisted his hair hard.
“Stop.”
It was a pant against his mouth and as he opened his dark eyes she felt like she could melt all over again. She wiggled her hips and he took a step back, but his hands never left her sides. She swallowed thickly, feeling hot and heavy, a little sad that she had stopped him but with the amount of potential witnesses she couldn’t find it within herself to feel okay with cumming in the middle of a bookstore.
“Butterbeer?” Jongdae asked, a little spaced out still from the kiss and it made her feel a sense of pride in how she was the one to have done that to him.
“I’d love one.” Her breathless reply.
As they left Flourish and Bolts in a sheepish state, the very book that had finally brought them together lay forgotten on the floor.
Quintessence; a quest indeed.

The Wizarding World of EXO [Chapter 5: Kim Jongdae and the Dragon’s Egg]
Tumblr media
Hogwarts!AU
All EXO members
Summary: Welcome to the Wizarding World, ten years after the Second Wizarding War. Now, nine students at Hogwarts each have their own story to tell, secrets to discover and identities to grow.
Chapter 1│Chapter 2│Chapter 3│Chapter 4│Chapter 5│Chapter 6│ Chapter 7│Chapter 8│Chapter 9│Chapter 10│Chapter 11│Epilogue
“What’s that?” Jongdae asks, body practically sprawled over the wooden table as he tries to get a better look at something round and smooth in the fire.
“A dragon egg.”
Jongdae gasps, snapping towards Hagrid with wide, shocked eyes. “A dragon egg? Hagrid, that’s dangerous!”
“I know, Jongdae.” Hagrid merely answers, focusing entirely on the dragon egg. “But I let go of my baby once, an’ I ain’t ‘bout to do it again!”
“Once?” Jongdae replies in a squeak. “You mean it happened before?”
“Eh, a long time ago with Harry, Hermoine an’ Ron.”
“You’re kidding.”
Hagrid turns to him with a brow raised, a little confused. “I’m not.”
Jongdae’s jaw is practically touching the table now. “You—With Harry Potter—”
His best friend throws a pebble at him, hitting him in the side of the head and making him yelp. “Moving away from the fact that this exact thing happened to Harry Potter many years ago, what are you going to do once that dragon hatches?”
Jongdae rolls his eyes at his best friend, a Ravenclaw, and therefore feels like she’s always the smarter, mature one. They’ve known each other for four years now, always together. He knows her better than anyone, and vice versa.
Hagrid tugs at his beard, looking down. “Eh, I’m not sure.”
“Hagrid, a dragon will cause a lot of chaos—”
“I’ll keep it in the Forbidden Forest.” Hagrid cuts her off with a wave of his hand. “It’ll be fine.”
“No it’s not. This is a dragon that will grow up and possibly destroy the school.” She says flatly, more irritated than actually scared of the possibility.
Jongdae rolls his eyes at her. Sometimes she worries way too much. “Don’t worry, Hagrid said everything’s under control—”
There’s a crisp knock on the door just then, and the three of them freeze immediately.
“Hagrid? It’s almost curfew time and I want to see if there are any students with you.”
Oh gosh it’s Professor McGonagall. They are screwed.
Both students turn to Hagrid who swallows thickly, nervously calling back to her. “Ah, er, just a moment! I, er, spilled my drink!”
With a terrible excuse to buy them some time, Hagrid pushes the scalding hot egg against Jongdae’s chest. Thank goodness for the thick robes he’s wearing, or he would’ve burned himself.
“Jongdae! Quick! Take the egg an’ run!”
“I—” Jongdae splutters, eyes wide as Hagrid hands him a pair of smaller mittens in order to properly hold the egg. “What?”
“The window!” Hagrid points frantically at the windows of his little hut. “Quick!”
“Hagrid?” Professor McGonagall’s muffled voice sounds again and Jongdae can feel himself jump out of his skin.
“Hurry.” His best friend hisses as she pulls him over to the window, which is angled away from the doorway to allow them a successful escape. They hop out just as Hagrid unlocks the door, letting Professor McGonagall in to ensure all students are back in Hogwarts for the night.
The night helps disguise them as they scurry back to Hogwarts and once they’re safe in a deserted hallway, Jongdae holds out the egg from where he was clutching it against his chest. “Holy crap. Did he just give me the dragon egg?”
“Yes.” She answers without hesitation. “And you’re going to get in a hell lot of trouble if you get found out, you know that right?”
Jongdae gulps. Growing up in a muggle family meant he’s never experienced something remotely like this. “What do I do?”
“Put it in a fire.” She says solemnly. “It might die if you don’t.”
“So you want me to hatch it?” Jongdae hisses in disbelief.
“It’s a freaking egg, Jongdae. It either hatches or dies.” She hisses back, and they jump when they hear footsteps echo.
“Fine.” Jongdae whispers urgently. “We need to go.”
And then they go their separate ways, heading back to their dorm. Jongdae heads quickly to the Hufflepuff common room right next to the kitchens, tapping in the code against the barrel. Once he’s in the common room, he breathes out a sigh of relief, heading straight to the fireplace and carefully, with the mittens protecting his hands, places the egg within the fire.
“Alright, buddy. Hopefully no one will come out in the middle of the night.” Jongdae murmurs before tiredly heading towards the round door that leads to the male’s dormitory to get a good night’s rest.
Jongdae couldn’t sleep properly throughout the entire night. He has a freaking dragon egg in his house common room and he was worried someone might get up in the middle of the night, or the dragon might hatch.
So he ended up waking up way too early, heading out to the common room and breathing in relief to find that, indeed, the egg is still there. The fire had died down quite a bit, so Jongdae grabbed some more firewood, whispering, ïżœïżœIncendio.”
A jet of fire shoots from his wand to the fireplace, making the fire brighter, scarlet and tangerine flames licking across the surface of the pale egg.
“I’ll have to get you out when the others wake up.” Jongdae sits down in one of the chairs, exhausted from the lack of sleep. “I don’t even know if I want you to hatch or not.”
Suddenly, there’s a soft cracking sound, almost as if the egg is responding to his words. Jongdae lets out a quiet gasp, rushing over to the fireplace and grabbing is mittens from his robe, slipping them on to take the egg out of the fire. He places it carefully on the floor, watching in fascination as the egg cracks, a small dragon popping out.
It’s a tiny baby dragon, about the size of his hand with beautiful, pearly scales that reflect the light streaming in from the windows. When it opens its eyes, blinking up at Jongdae, its eyes are pupil-less, but seems to change color with every turn of its head.
“Wow.” He breathes out, tentatively holding his hand out and to his surprise, the dragon climbs on his hand, letting out a soft squawk. “You’re beautiful.”
It squawks again, almost endearingly, and Jongdae lets out a soft chuckle. With his other hand, he rubs the top of the dragon’s head. It seems to enjoy that as it rubs back, almost like a kitten, though its scales are quite hard and rough. No doubt they’ll hurt when it’s full grown.
And then his stomach drops. He just hatched a dragon! What is he going to do? How will he be able to hide it from his house-mates? From the professors? What if he gets suspended because of this?
He gulps, beginning to tremble at the thought. Sure, he’s broken some rules before, but they were small rules like using Skiving Snackboxes—which was only on one occasion. It did work like a charm, though.
“What am I going to do with you?” Jongdae mumbles to the dragon, stroking it’s neck.
“Do with what?” A door from the third year dormitory opens, revealing a student he recognizes as Oh Sehun, pureblood. His hair is a mess from sleep, and he leans against the rounded doorframe—which looks quite difficult to do, actually—raising a perfect brow at Jongdae.
Jongdae immediately slips the dragon into his robe pocket, the one where he also happened to keep his wand, and takes that out instead. “M-My wand! It keeps disobeying me. What am I going to do with it?”
Sehun scrunches his nose. “Are you sure you bought the right wand? If you bought it from Ollivanders, it should be right, but
”
“Haha
yeah, maybe I should go get it checked.” Jongdae stands up a little too quickly, shuffling out of the common room. “Uh, anyway, I have to go! Have a good day, Sehun!”
He slips out of the common room before Sehun could say another word, and he breathes out in relief. He looks around the hall, seeing no one. Is he even allowed to be out so early?
He’s not sure what time it is, but it should be about five or six in the morning. Breakfast doesn’t start until seven-thirty, which means he’s got quite a while to go.
Slightly terrified, he scurries through the halls as quietly as he can, heading towards the Ravenclaw dormitory. She would know what to do—or at least have more of a plan than he does at the moment.
Along the way, he hears footsteps and his heart leaps to his throat as he quickly finds somewhere to hide. He ducks into another hallway, pressing himself flat against the wall in hopes it’s not a professor, or that the professor won’t see him.
“Jongdae!”
He recognizes the voice as she whispers his name.
“Oh thank goodness.” Jongdae breathes out, having never felt so relieved to see her. He hurries to wrap his arms around her, squeezing her tightly against him.
She lets out a soft squeal in surprise, before hugging him back. “You okay?”
“No.” He answers solemnly, taking out the baby dragon from his pocket. “It hatched.”
She blinks, leaning forward to take a better look at the dragon. The dragon’s pupil-less eyes stare back, before it sneezes and lets out a flame of vivid red flames, searing her tie.
She backs off immediately, yelping as she pats the flames away. “It’s an Antipodean Opaleye.”
“Ah Anti
opal—what?” Jongdae asks, eyes squinting on the dragon wiggling about on his hand, which is quite ticklish since its claws aren’t that sharp yet.
“An Antipodean Opaleye.” She repeats. “It’s a breed from New Zealand and lives in valleys. Usually, it doesn’t attack people.”
“Oh.” He says back dumbly. “So
what should we do?”
“We need to send it away.” She answers sternly, walking out to the courtyard and towards Hagrid’s hut. “If we get caught, we are so dead.”
The dragon squawks in protest, and Jongdae puts it back in his pocket as he runs after her. “But—I mean—It’s cute.”
She stops abruptly, turning towards him with a brow raised. “Cute? Cute? Jongdae, that dragon will grow up and even though it’s not very aggressive, it’s still dangerous.”
“Well, yes.” Jongdae sinks his teeth into his lower lip, a pout appearing on his lips. “But
I kind of
you know
”
“Jongdae.” She says, tone hard. “You’re not
attached to it, are you?”
Jongdae says nothing, merely looking down.
“Jongdae!” She cries out in exasperation. “You can’t! Trading dragon eggs are illegal! Hagrid will be in trouble, and we will be in trouble! We could go to Azkaban!”
He blinks, pouting harder. “Well, yes, but—”
“What are you two doing?” Filch asks furiously, stomping over to them. They gulp, and Jongdae puts a hand in his pocket, trying hard not to alert the dragon.
“We just woke up too early, sir.” She answers, trying to sound as calm as possible. “We were just taking a stroll before breakfast.”
Filch narrows his eyes suspiciously on them, eyes darting between them. “Students never wake up early. Confess; what are you two up to?”
“Nothing, sir.” Jongdae replies. “I swear.”
Filch obviously doesn’t believe them, so he grabs their arms, dragging them away. “You two are coming with me. You’ll answer to Headmistress McGonagall.”
Jongdae gulps, glancing at her who looks a little too pale. They don’t speak as they’re dragged to the Headmistress’s office. Professor McGonagall is sitting at her desk, writing something when they enter.
“Headmistress, I caught these two snooping around in the courtyard—”
“We weren’t snooping around!” Jongdae’s best friend corrects sharply. “We were strolling because we woke up too early.”
“And is there a problem with that?” Professor McGonagall asks Filch, a brow raised, though her quill doesn’t stop.
“Well—I—they looked like they were planning something—” Filch stammers, his hold loosening on their arms.
“And did you see them planning something?” McGonagall presses.
“I—No.” Filch looks red, like he’s about to explode. “Sorry to bother you, m’am.”
“That’s quite alright.” Her eyes train on the two students. “You can leave now. I’ll have a word with them.”
Filch seems to perk up immediately, thinking they’re in trouble. He practically skips out the door.
“Professor—” Jongdae’s best friend starts, trying to explain, but Professor McGonagall cuts her off.
“You are not in trouble—at least not for the reason Filch says. But it is strange for you two to be up so early. Is something going on?”
Jongdae glances at her, gulping. Slowly, she nods and Jongdae steps forward, hands digging into his pocket. “Professor
Um, I got a dragon egg
and it hatched
” He fishes out the dragon, holding it out on his palm. It shakes its body, expanding his wings and flapping a few times, though it can’t fly yet.
Professor McGonagall looks surprised, even horrified as she stares at the dragon. “You
You remind me of someone.” She massages her temple, taking in a deep breath.
Jongdae sinks his teeth into his bottom lip, nervous.
“We’ll have to send it back to its natural habitat, or a dragon sanctuary. We sent one away quite a years ago, so it shouldn’t be a problem.”
“Professor.” Jongdae squeaks out. “Would it
would it be possible if
if I could
keep it?” He stutters out nervously, terrified of her reaction. His best friend elbows him, making him wince, throwing a glare her way.
“Keeping a dragon?” She asks, surprised at the request. “That’s a very dangerous thing.”
“I—Yes, I understand.” Jongdae can practically feel himself shrinking. “But
maybe it can stay in the Forbidden Forest and
If it gets out of control we can send it away.”
Professor McGonagall frowns. “That’s a very dangerous risk, Mr. Kim. A risk we may not be able to take.”
Jongdae pouts, deflating. “
I understand.”
“Perhaps.” Professor McGonagall says suddenly, thoughtful. “But perhaps it can help keep the Acromantulas at bay. Ever since the Second Wizarding War, we’ve been having trouble keeping them away. Perhaps a dragon may help. If it can be controlled, that is.”
“So you’ll give it a chance?” Jongdae exclaims, a bit too excited.
Professor McGonagall lets out a soft laugh, nodding slowly. “Yes. But the first signs of danger and I’ll send it away. Train it well, Mr. Kim.”
“I will!” He beams, his grin so big it feels like his face might break apart. He turns towards her with absolute glee, and once they leave the Headmistress’s office, he practically throws himself on her, squeezing her tight. “She let me keep it!”
“Gah, Jongdae!” She gasps. “I can’t breathe!”
“Sorry,” he apologizes, though the silly grin is still on his face. “Just too happy.” He takes out the dragon, stroking it’s head and it squawks at him affectionately. “You can stay, little guy. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely take care of you.” He presses the dragon against his cheek, letting it nudge him.
“Well,” she speaks, making Jongdae turn towards her. She looks a little upset, a pout on her lips. “Looks like you found a new best friend.”
Jongdae lets out a grin at this, taking a step towards her and wiggling his brows. “Aw, are you jealous?”
She huffs, turning away. “No.”
Jongdae chuckles, enjoying this way too much. He can see how her cheeks are a bit redder than usual.
“Don’t worry.” Jongdae assures. “No one can replace you. Because,” he moves so that he’s standing in front of her, and in one swift, smooth motion, leans in to press a quick kiss to her lips. “Because I love you.”
Oh, how he wishes he had his phone so he could take a picture of her expression after that.

Hogwarts! Chanyeol AU
Tumblr media
Genre: Hogwarts! Chanyeol
Warnings: none
Summary: basically it’s chanyeol at Hogwarts..that's literally it
A/N: Welcome to my fic! I wasn’t gonna make a Hogwarts!AU as my first post but I’ve rekindled my love for harry potter and Hogwarts so lets goooo
so basically my boy Chanyeol is a pureblood
and he’s in Gryffindor
clumsiest wizard you will ever meet
like he is always tripping over nothing
and like if you didn’t know any better
you would assume he was under a curse or something
because this boy
literally, cant stop tripping?????
like how
probably because he's so tall
anyways
has tons of friends in every single house
like Kim Jongin in Hufflepuff
and head boy Kim Junmyeon in Ravenclaw
and tiny boi Kyungsoo in Slytherin
and his body is wayyyy to big for his broom
but he's a Quidditch player
a beater because lord knows that he could never be a seeker
always sneaks off to the Hufflepuff common rooms because its next to the kitchen
teachers hate and love him
they love him because he's always so happy and who could be angry at a cute uwu like him
but they hate him because he's so loud and always hits his desk buddy
but the only person who does or says anything about it is smol kyungsoo
but chanyeol never really takes him seriously because he's such a cute little pengu
and chanyeol just can't get over the baby pengu
but eventually stops hitting him
because scary Kyung is everybody's least favourite Kyung
is best friends with two other Gryffindors
Jongdae and Baekhyun
And all teachers know to never put them together
because they're always really loud
and disrupt the class
He literally the reason for the majority of the  points deducted from Gryffindor
because HES SO LOUD
even in the library
So the librarian kinda hates him
constantly changes hair colours
which sometimes gets him into trouble with McGonagall
a guaranteed hair colour change when tournaments happen
He gets all the chicks
and they all try to slip him a quick love potion
when the yule ball is coming up
because everyone wants to go with
my man Park Chanyeol
in the end
he's just really friendly with everyone
everybody's favourite gryffindor
