Little hedgehogs haven’t been able to put enough weight on for the winter and they’re having to be rescued so that they don’t die! But lots of them will die cos they can’t all be rescued! 😭😭😭 they’re called hoglets as well!!! I’m crying!!! 😭😭😭

Silver Headcanons

From this post. Also, I know there’s already a canon divergent section, but pretty much all of my hcs break canon in some way or another, so they’re all going to technically fall into that category.

A, realistic: Thanks to Iblis’ flames, it’s so hot that finding water on the surface is rare, and the powerful winds keep the water in the clouds from reaching the ground most of the time. The most common method of collecting water to drink is scaling one of the tallest building with a few buckets and just letting them catch the wind. When he arrived in Soleanna, the first thing that really blew Silver away was how humid the air was, then the lakes and rivers, then the city canals, then rain. 

B, funny: Silver can’t spindash. His limbs always get caught in his elongated quills when he tries. However, once he befriended Sonic and Co. after the Solaris incident, he kept trying to teach himself how to do it - only to fail horribly and wind up falling into a hole or one of Soleanna’s canals. Also, he can’t swim, so Blaze always has to pull him out.

C, sad: He was raised by Blaze and sees her as a motherly figure. She found him when he was just a hoglet, and took him under her wing in an effort to stave off her guilt over her fallen kingdom. She was overly protective of him, and hoped to stay alive long enough to teach him to thrive, not just survive, in Iblis’ world. Unfortunately, she never got the chance to do so before her banishment, but is still happy that he succeeded and gets to have a full life in the extinguished timeline, even if she doesn’t get to share it with him.

D, canon divergent: In the game universes, Gold is his fraternal twin sister, and he gets his long quills from his tenrec dad’s side. Unfortunately, Gold was missing by the time he was confronted by Mephiles, and had been for almost two years; Blaze insists that Gold was strong enough to protect herself and that they would find her again eventually, but Silver fully believes she’s gone for good.
