NHL hebt Hockeyschläger-Tape-Verbot auf

Die Entscheidung, das Verbot auszusprechen, fiel, nachdem man sich geweigert hatte, an einigen Themenabenden regenbogenfarbene Pride-Trikots zu tragen, was NHL-Kommissar Gary Bettman damals sagte, was zu einer unnötigen „Ablenkung“ von der Sache führe. Der Schritt verbietet auch andere Modifikationen an Uniformen und Stöcken, einschließlich regenbogenfarbenem Pride-Band. Einige Spieler kritisierten die Entscheidung, ebenso wie der ehemalige NHL-Manager Brian Burke, der versprach, Strafen für alle Spieler zu zahlen, die wegen der Verwendung von Tonbändern bestraft wurden. Da die NHL darüber nachdenkt, sich vom traditionellen Ansatz im Konferenzstil in der Arena zu lösen, sind noch viele logistische Probleme zu berücksichtigen. Der NHL Draft ist eine einzigartige Veranstaltung, die seit 1963 an einem einzigen Austragungsort stattfindet, mit Ausnahme der Drafts 2020 und 2021. Die meisten NHL-Teams beginnen, die Dezentralisierung des Drafts zu unterstützen, wobei eine überwältigende Mehrheit mit „Ja“ antwortet. Ich bin froh, dass die Liga diese Wahrnehmung ändert.
