ok listen between the mr. & mrs. smith reboot and argylle i'm just really feel like spy plots are the vibe so here are some in particular that're rollin around in my noggin':✧ first and foremost the classic spies forced to go undercover as a married couple !!! bonus points if they cannot stand each other !!!

✧ one spy has lost their memories (thru an accident/brainwashing/being too deep undercover/whateva!!) and their former flame/partner has been keeping tabs to make sure they're safe but also kinda trying to stir some memories to the surface bc they just !!! miss them :' (( angst but also the potential for hilarious high jinks while they try to recover memories together or the flame tries win them over again (and maybe not v successfully) !!! i need

✧ enemy !! spies !! in love !! maybe they know that they're enemies, or maybe they meet undercover and have no idea !! or maybe one is tasked to take out the other !! or maybe they're BOTH tasked to take out each other !! either way no one is getting their job done xoxo

✧ mentor/mentees at the academy !! or frankly just colleagues at the academy.... ANY plots at the academy like rivals would hit too or the slacker unironically falling in love w/ the top of the class like could not give less of a fuck abt the work (even tho they're probably v good at it??? they're just disillusioned) but absolutely shows up to mess w/ the uptight nerd

✧ betrayal plots !!!! former partners or former mentors turning out to be the villain !!! the redEMPTION ARC !! or the good spy refusing to turn on the bad spy !! or the bad spy joining the villains to SAVE the good spy somehow !!

✧ the spy and their 'guy/girl/goon behind the computer' falling in love !!! or two analysts falling in love but being too shy to say anything !! not all spies are badass some are nerds

✧ speaking of goons !!! gimme the npcs falling in love too like !!! literally just on the team with this one hotshot spy who always gets the praise but like.... did they or did they not help ???? mb they're both salty or maybe one is like nooo it's not that bad !!! either way i think it would be so fucking funny

✧ spies x thieves !!!! like undercover cia or independent contractor who gets a little TOO close and suddenly can't seem to find the time to turn them in yet..... just casually lying to their boss that they can't get close enough as though they didn't have dinner w/ them every night that week :' ))))

I'm gonna be honest though yall, I have an extremely hard time coming back here because I genuinely find it really difficult to like... write.. anything? the formatting here really sucks, and the site is overall just difficult to deal with. That and due to Tumblr rpc nature and whatnot, it's jsut hard to get a foothold really, especially after you've been gone for some time, and my nd ass overall just finds the whole Tumblr rpc hard to deal with formatting and energy wise. That being said! I'd yall want tk write on like discord or something or if anyone has literally any better options over Tumblr then my go's please let me know. I'm down for short things, for sure.! I’ve been goin thru a steven universe rewatch since last week and… wow. Wow this show is revolutionary for queer voices. It was eye opening seeing everything unfold again.

It’s been wonderful experiencing the show with fresh eyes. I started the show, saw the premiere of the show, followed it and finished it while I was still closeted and bigoted. I saw the reveal of Garnet being a fusion, being love, and was initially disgusted and disappointed because I was TAUGHT to be disgusted and disappointed.

The residual bigotry flares up at times… but it’s not me anymore. Well it is, but it’s like.. the MEMORY of me seeing that moment through my old eyes. I do my best to not feel shame, but to understand and forgive myself and enjoy creating a new experience watching SU.

now that I’m (somewhat) open, I’ve been able to enjoy the show and appreciate how much it’s done for queer voices since. I… saw Ruby and Sapphire’s wedding for the first time, I saw it— not with my hands barely covering my eyes. What a triumph that this show inspired others to let queer ppl share their stories, experiences, hopes, fears, love, without shame! Steven Universe isn’t perfection— it’s flawed, beautifully flawed, like the people who made it, the people who watch it, and the characters in it. If the road it paved wasn’t perfect, then all the better for newer voices, newer stories to be like, that limestone thingy in roman rock to reinforce it. To make it better. to make like, longer gay roads! pff shit I think I was trying to be poetic and metaphorical or something, but I hope my point came across. I just have big feelings right now.
