maybe I'm being silly (and maybe this should be a separate post) but like. is it just me or did this like tie into anybody else's wish choice?

Like, Mirabelle was the obvious choice for me bc of this? She was going to keep travelling and it seemed less weird to pick her than anyone else. If she's continuing her journey, maybe we could go too. she was friendly so it seemed to me that we had been having a good time traveling together already and she probably wouldn't mind if I asked to come. I also thought that it would make sense for Siffrin the traveler to keep traveling.

And the others. Seemed like less reasonable requests.

Asking Isabeau to make me clothes felt like it could be an imposition. I didn't want to pressure him into doing that for me if he didn't want to. It was a bit of a tempting wish, but the idea of bothering him made me uncomfortable with it. Personally, I know enough about the fiber arts to know it can be a lot of work to make things (and learning how is so so hard), so. It seemed like a big ask.

Asking to go to Ka Bue with Odile... well I as the player didn't know her that well and it seemed like the relationship was friendly but maybe not that close. Not necessarily going to Ka Bue with her close. Wishing to go to Ka Bue with her seemed like it could be like becoming fond of someone while doing a group project with them and then asking to hang out at their house when there's the chance that they didn't like you that that much and were just doing their work, which happened to include working with you. Like a more extreme way of inviting yourself over, bc in Siffrin's case it'd be like following her all the way home. I really didn't even consider wishing to go to Ka Bue with Odile. Sorry Odile.

From the brief interaction with Bonnie (and Siffrin's biased narration), it seemed to me like they didn't really like us all that much. Why would I wish to go meet their sister? They wouldn't want us there. I didn't really consider making this wish either, sorry Bonnie.

Anyway you're so right. nobody ended up saying anything about wanting to travel together and that must've been so upsetting to Siffrin. and I totally should've made a separate post about this bc I feel like it's more of a point about how it's easier to believe Siffrin's incorrect view that his party doesn't like them that much because we meet them so much later than Siffrin meets them and we don't get to see much of them all bonding before we're thrown into the time loop (and the little moments where the party cares slowly get soured by repetition the way they do for Siffrin)

And maybe at the wish point in the game we're already enough in Siffrin's head to be thinking of it in terms of who would be most ok with me rather than like who do I like the best but maybe I'm just a bit silly in that sense. (I do really like Mirabelle though)

revisiting isat's acts 1-2 there's a bunch of stuff that make me weirdly sad and one of them is the "what will you do after?" dialogue option in dormont that appears once on loop 0 before you make your wish and then never again. even though every other dialogue option is available until act 5. like siffrin probably asks their party that in the hopes someone will allude to wanting to travel together after they beat the king but then nobody does 😭
