Six Sentence Sunday

Between work and school full time, I have had no time at all to write this semester, so it’s difficult to find something to share for these. However, there is a project that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time now, so I decided to pull it out and finally start working on it. It’s going to take me a while to complete it, but I’m excited about it and wanted to share what I’m doing!

I’m rewriting the farmer!baz fic, including things that I left out the first time, cutting other parts out, and making a few noticeable changes! And I’ll also be redoing the playlist.

Here’s a typed up excerpt:

[Simon’s pov]

“I will have it in a year, and I’m already an outstanding driver. At least I won’t be driving into the sides of any barns,” he adds with a smirk.

“Shut up,” I mumble, remembering the day I drove a tractor through the side of a barn. It was absolutely not my fault, but Baz will never let me live it down.

“It will be fine, so get up. We’re leaving in five minutes.” He’s still not telling me anything about where we’re going.

Bonus: my cat also trying to prevent me from writing (lol)

I was already thinking that a 10-page paper was going to be difficult to do by Monday but then I reread the assignment and realized it’s supposed to be a 10-page single spaced paper....

Is it weird that my Home Is Wherever You Are playlist begins with a Gilmore Girls song and ends with a Big Time Rush song?

I feel like that’s very telling of my music taste but in a way fits what I was going for with that fic pretty well

21 - 30 for the fanfic questions!!

21. What was the first fanfic you ever wrote?

Oh, man. That fic (if I’m remembering right) was a disaster, and I gave up on it after only two days. It had Arthur Ketch pining after Dean Winchester, and it was an au where they weren’t hunters. And while the idea was good, I failed to write it well, so I can only hope that I threw it away and don’t have it hidden away somewhere.

22. Is there anything you regret writing?

Besides the fic above? (Kidding.) No, I don’t think that I regret writing anything. There are just a few that I wish I could go back and change a bit.

23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.

I want to say the spn x Carry On fic even though I haven’t written it all yet or posted it, but it has my two favorite fandoms, so I love it. It’s also the only reason that I’m not going to stop writing when the farmer!baz fic is finished.

If I were to pick one that I’ve actually posted, though, I would have to say Roller Diner because it’s one of the fics that I chose the idea just for me, without caring whether it was something others would want to read. It’s something that I have really enjoyed writing.

24. What fic do you desperately need to rewrite or edit?

This one. I have blocked it from memory and don’t really remember what happens in it, but I do know that I cringe anytime I see that someone has read it because I feel like I could do it so much better now.

26. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?

By crying

Not really, but sometimes I feel like that because I’m so bad at it. There are very few title that I have picked and actually like.

27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?

Titles. Definitely. They are the worst.

28. If someone were to draw a piece of fanart for your story, which story would it be and what would the picture be of?

This is a difficult question because I’ve never really thought about it before. There’s a chapter that I cut out of HIWYA that would be cool to see illustrated, but I haven’t shared that with people (nor did I actually write it lol.)

Wait, I’ve just thought of something. I think that the scene in Coffee and Flowers where Simon is standing there with his fingerless gloves, holding his coffee, and watching Baz as they look at the Grave of the Day would be lovely to see. 

29. Do you have a beta reader? Why/Why not?

@pixiecodesnowbaz! She offered to beta once when I was struggling with the farmer!baz fic, and now she reads over a lot of my things. I really appreciate it

30. What inspires you to write?

The feeling that I’ve actually managed to create something when I’m done
