i dont like how hiveswap treatz rainbow drinkerz az like. a Rare thing in the cavernz. like if we accept kanayaz whole theory abt drinker status being an intentional defect to "Keep The Auxillatrices On A Short Leash" it seemz far more interesting & practical for them to make up all or at least a majority ov jadebloodz in the cavernz. this also pretty elegantly answerz why jadez are the second least populous caste: if rainbow drinkerz are the most desirable sort ov jade to those in power & the transformation occurz after death, an Intensely Alternian solution would be to simply have a policy ov executing every jadeblood & sending th onez who come back 2 go eat babiez in a cave or what ever. ig i can KINDA reconcile this w/ hiveswapz teenjadez by saying tht they get executed wen they reach adulthood but bluh

see i was 100% ready and willing to accept that this was a sign of the hiveswap jades being children who had not yet been initiated into the rainbow drinker mystery, because that's basically how i always thought it worked pre-act 2. the fact that act 5 calls rainbow drinkers "TRASHY NOVEL FANTASIES", comparable to a boogyman, with kanaya wishing to be "a true rainbow drinker from [...] literature", and then act 6 throws that all on its head and tells us rainbow drinkerism is basically all natural adaptations to help jadebloods in their day to day lives, has always been one of my main reasons for believing that the jadeblood stuff must be EXTRA extra secret. in a world where all troll children are totally divorced from the lives of their adult progenitors, jadebloods are locked away so deep that of COURSE stuff that seems mundane and day-to-day to them would emerge as myth and superstition.

re my last big jadeblood post, if the jades are locked underground to prevent them from absorbing the solar rays they need to fuel their powers then it especially makes sense that society would maybe try to keep it hush hush that jadebloods have the potential to become super powerful. like you want these kids to think being sent to underground nunneries is noble and for their benefit, not that it's depriving them of their innate abilities.

I need to start jotting down my Homestuck Beyond Canon predictions and try to turn more of them into theory posts.

I like making these big elaborate theory posts, it’s fun (though it does take a lot out of me and takes a lot of time). If I had decent editing software I would probably save some of these ideas for YouTube videos. Hell, I still might turn some of these into Youtube videos! 👀

Depending on how fast for tech stuff, IRL stuff, and the pacing of Beyond Canon... if nothing else I can make a hits and misses video of what I got right and what I got wrong. Might be fun! Let me know if you’d like to see that or if you have other ideas y’all would like to see! 💜

hearing that ppl had a bad time with roach's interview makes me glad i was too indulged in my interests. i still secretly enjoy hs's content creation but has actively deny the presence of hs:bc and epilogues, and i consider hiveswap canon despite the turbulence on its development as it took place before the beta kids' session.

another trivia: i find joey and jude are adorable and love them more than the omega kids from hs:bc. even jude has a better design as jake's bio kid than tavvy *cough* *cough*

Joey Claire and Jude Harley are definitely the better kids after Beta and Alpha. At least we had time to get to know them. The same can't be said for the Omega Kids.
