He knows he won’t be the one to step away from whatever is happening between them, so informing Hob of this now, exposing this weakness, laid the decision in Hob’s hands.
Hob raises an eyebrow. “Are you in love with me, Dream?”
God Dream hopes not. That would be the very definition of cruel irony. Falling in love with Hob would break him.
