It was a beautiful day for a ride, a day that just screamed “perfect Oregon fall day”: a high of 56F/14C, ample sun. Yeah, there was a bit of east wind, but the 20 or so of us dealt with that. On rekindling past internets, and exploring local history and geography
The older you get, the more “past” you have. It’s inevitable. It gets pretty easy to live in your past (well, as long as there’s some good moments), but sometimes it hinders future growth. But self-reflection is also good, as you can see what worked and what didn’t and learn from it. Looking back can also be good for revisiting past interests and seeing which ones are worth giving another go.

something i love about musical theatre is that there's no sequels. you go to the performance and that's it. it's brought to life in different ways, sure, it may have references to other properties, but you don't need to watch them. everything can be self-contained. and when We Live In A Society where everything gets a live-action remake, or a sequel, or is a part of a Cinematic Universe, or is a musical remake, the fact that you can just enjoy a musical without having to catch up on a bunch of other content is a relief.
