Anyone else writes fanfiction instead of studying for their exams or doing their assessment. Like I was nearly done writing about how Athena influces how 5th century are treated. Then all of the sudden I have the urge to write cute little fan fics of my current fixation. does this happen to anyone else????
#help#fanction#meant to be studying#all hope lost#i am not gonna lass this exam#but i want to write about them so bad#Athena is great#5th century Athens#history assessment#mathematics#mathematics exam

American KEUDA Breed Fact
The name (American KEUDA) is an acronym of "Kitten Evaluation Under Direct Assessment", a program in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico in the 1980's, that was attempting to breed a superior quality barn cat from semi-feral specimens. The aim of the program was to produce a cat with the hardest qualities and strongest genes.
In 2002 the breed was standardized and defined. It is intended to focus on behavioral traits rather than physical characteristics.

“New Moon,” Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu (Vol. 2/2024), #1.
Writer: Jed MacKay; Penciler and Inker: Alessandro Cappuccio; Colorist: Rachelle Rosenberg; Letterer: Cory Petit
#Marvel#Marvel comics#Marvel 616#Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu#Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu vol. 2#Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu 2024#Moon Knight comics#latest release#Detective Flint#Reese Williams#Soldier#Hunter’s Moon#Yehya Badr#Tigra#Greer Grant#8-Ball#Jeff Hagees#OH WORD#it’s purposefully incredibly uncharitable but considering established US federal biases against anything of «Mid East» (yike) origin#individuals with documented histories of mental illness + the renewed federal interest in small militant religious groups in the past decad#(not to mention how…historically poorly the feds react whenever small groups of people use strategies even threatening violence#to protect their community but shhhhhh that’s a whole other kettle of worms)#this is /exactly/ the kind of brush the Midnight Mission would get painted with by the powers that be (I’m just mad I hadn’t#considered it earlier hahaha)#I personally think it would also be a little cool to revisit some of Marc’s dealing with government personnel from back when he was with#The Company™️ as he surely must have burned some bridges while he was there#I’m not sure if that would still carry out to his current Moon Knight career but I’m just spitballing here hahaha#anyway I’m not sure what’s more objectionable: indicating that Hunter’s Moon is anyway un underling of Marc’s in some sort of cult#or referring to 8-Ball /solely/ as a loser (he’s getting better!)#Dr. Badr I’m sure would be supremely displeased to hear this assessment hahaha

why did my teachers think it was okay to give us like one single weekend to finish all of our midterm projects and study for our tests.
#slight vent#i have 3 projects and 3 tests#i’m halfway through my lit/history project and halfway through my psych project#and maybe a quarter done with my programming project#which is fucking insane btw cause how tf am i supposed to code a whole video game in like 3 days on top of everything else 😭😭😭#and some things he hasn’t taught us and just thinks that we should just be able to figure out like HELLO???/?///#I DONT HAVE TIME TO TEACH MYSELF NEW CODE#ITS THE MIDTERM/FINAL FOR THE CLASS??????#and once the weekend starts i’ll have no one to trouble shoot my stuff and fix my bugs so literally i’ll be hopeless so 😭😭😭#my calc teacher JUST finished teaching us everything we need for the midterm TODAY. THE MIDTERM IS ON WEDNESDAY. BRO.#my physics teacher doesn’t let us copy down any of our idk test questions or take our old assessments home to study#*old#so we get to look em over for like 20 mins and hand em back. which doesn’t exact fucking help me when i’m studying for the midterm.#WITH NO STUDY GUIDE.#my teachers even said that this years midterms are worse than previous years cause they’re all in a row instead of split by a weekend#we’ve had 2 delayed openings and 1 early dismissal this week which means we have less time to work on our midterm projects in class 😭😭😭😭#i’m so overwhelmed i’m gonna explode#by the time i finish these projects i’m not gonna have anymore energy/time to study for my tests. WHICH IS THE HARD SHIT BTW.

Like I'm not World's Number One Slave Labour And Job Insecurity Lover there's very obvious criticism to be made of it but some of u guys see the acronym 'AI' and start foaming at the mouth. Misinformation is at the forefront of issues with mass-implementation of 'AI' so it's kind of galling to see people go red light ready to believe anything as long as it appeals to their pathos
#obligatory 'im talking bullshit' disclaimer#'ai art is soulless-' I WILL GRIND U TO DEATH WITH MY TEETH#if i strapped a paintbrush to a roomba and let it roam on a canvas you fucks would think it was soooo cute that a robot made art#'ai art is too easy' 'all youre doing is typing a prompt' 'youre using other peoples art' this is a fundamentally different fight#and it is one you will lose. modern art! collages! fucking photography! all counterpoints to prev!#if you want to argue about what art is go read about the history of modern art or some shit. not relevant#if you're inexact with your criticisms it weakens both your focus and your argument! stop and assess!#taking jobs from artists? using an excess of resources? building off the backs of slave labour? THOSE are practical things that matter!#i love to be spiteful about shit that doesnt matter! youre reading that right now! but if youre gonna be serious be fucking serious#^ ok thats my monthly rant on this topic over with. grins.#hi guys i havent read literature about art since horrible histories did a book about it but I Have Many Opinions

It will always fuck me up that there are pieces of content that we look at today and go “oh yeah” or “I remember that” or whatever but in a couple of years, when these events have moved out of the majority of the public’s memory people will need to understand the historical context to understand it. Like I know that but it still screws with me.
Like Bo Burnham’s Inside is one that comes to mind. If most of us watch it now we’ll not only get the references but be able to relate to the whole thing about being stuck inside. In a couple of years people will probably be going on web deep dives to understand the full extent of the COVID-19 pandemic and the worldwide quarantines just to understand a Netflix comedy special. In fact, at some point all of the COVID era literature (books, series, news articles, movies, even obscure memes) will need some form of historical understanding to even be understood in some capacity. I mean, a similar thing happened to 9/11 (Different kind of historical tragedy ik) but less than 30 years after it happened, the September 11 terrorist attacks are being taught in history classes.
But no matter how much historical context people have when they interact with [insert period] literature they’ll never truly understand what it was like to live through that event.
That’s not necessarily bad because a) much less suffering for those individuals (at that point in time) and b) the fact that they’re taking time to learn that context and consume that literature allows the memory of both the positive and negative effects these events had in the world and how they were catalysts for change.
To take that time to learn the struggles of those before, even if it is just to watch a Bo Burnham comedy special, is to attempt to help stop history from repeating itself.
But seriously, if humanity survives that long, people may look back at now like we look at the Victorian era.
#anyway sorry for my shit#Im just bored waiting for my#History#assessment to upload#And got bored#Sorry for my incoherence#covid#I know that#covid isn’t over#but yeah#history#random shit#random thoughts#random#bo burnham#bo burnam inside#sorry lots of tags lol

So, today my co-worker finished a call and told us that the person she spoke with was claiming discrimination due to being a transgender man.
Now, it is absolutely true that the Australian government has a long way to go when it comes to their approach to gender identity politics. I'm sure this person does face discrimination in their day to day life.
But in this case, the things they were saying were discrimination came down to just...them having to wait? Like we're processing applications in the order they're applied for, and how do you think the guy waiting 2 years feels compared to your 2 weeks?
So were having this serious discussion about it, like how much was warranting escalation etc, when this is completed derailed by one guy saying:
"It's like if I got hit by a car and said that's homophobic"
Which isn't even a fair comparison because that's a fucking hilarious thing to say in response to a car hitting you
#personal#also like#we're only doing this process if you have criminal history#the guy wasnt even being rejected they were just still assessing it#along with 40000 others#i will say he did NOT get the best person cause my coworker who took the call IMMEDIATELY misgendered him when telling us about it

expose folk & blues music history to american public school students
#i believe that the exposure of art. of course given the tools to properly digest and provoke questions from it. can be and should be life#changing !! i think we need to utilize art within history classes more. its hard to contextualize history when youre memorizing vocabulary#terms and not exposed to the humanity of our ancestors. actually i got really into this idea a few months ago researching the africanus#austrolopithicus. the dissonance we feel between ourselves and our oldest ancestors that resemble animal more than human. i think we#feel this with history not long behind us as well. you miss the humanity when you cant relate on a basic level to our history. thats why i#think blues and folk music is so important. to hear people complain about the wealthy 100.. 200.. 400 years ago. how can you not be effecte#by that. its timeless !! and thats why its magical. anyway i feel really passionate about this so i apologize for soapboxing#also i want to add. its important to assess the historical art that you're aware of. to be aware of who is preserving this. its so importan#thats also why you should never feel guilty for taking up space with your art. think of all the artwork out there that hasnt been preserved#all the music youll never hear all the paintings and drawings youll never see. making art is part of being human#anyway off topic Im seepy

hey i have this food tech assessment where i need to make a hypothetical food product, and part of it is creating a survey. the only personal details it asks for is age (target market) and then your feelings about donuts and ice cream and my hypothetical product. survey isnt done yet buuut if anyone is willing to help me out pls reply, send an ask or dm. much appreciated :D
#tbh its a really small assessment its food tech and not even for the hsc. however i feel passionate about data collection#and while the survey only requires 20+ respondents for an A if i were to only ask irls that would be a very small data sample#i went on a small tangent on the unreliability of the stanford prison experiment results due to sample bias however i was in food tech thus#not around people who appreciate that kind of thing 😔 love them but i was craving the history classroom in that moment#god ive been loving history class so much we've had really good discussions#the lessons (only five per fornight </3) are making me very excited for all the hsie subjects im doing next year#oscar.exe
