Back with another female fighter drawn by me without reference in Procreate. Dynamic pose combined with another iffy attempt at forced perspective definitely upped the difficulty of the task. No ordinary person could wildly swing one-handed on a rope, could they? Seems doubtful.

Not saying that anyone should do what I do; just saying that this how I typically begin to draw human figures, such as they are, from imagination. The program is Procreate.

Here’s another female fighter — my first drawing of 2025 — made up by me without reference in Procreate, with line smoothing turned off for that slightly wobbly handmade look. I have done my share of observational work from the live model, but that was years ago, at a time when I was drawing in a fine art rather than an illustrative mode. Anyway, excuses aside, this is the sort of “challenge” that interests me at the moment. P.S. I posted this earlier, but then I noticed some bits I wanted to change, so I deleted and am now posting again. Sorry!
