Historic Oakdale Ranch is the second oldest farm in Yolo County and has been owned and operated by the same family since 1850. In 1852 the homestead was built and is still standing today in its original but up kept form. Our venue includes a two acre pond, a half acre of lawn, English walnut orchards, multiple large weeping willow trees, a large barn, and a bridal suite located in The House. The ranch is the perfect place for intimate parties, photo shoots, reunions, company events, and weddings with up to 300 guests. 5 Tips for Finding Vendors

One of the most important parts of planning your wedding is assembling your dream team. Vendors are basically the backbone to any event and take (almost) all of the work and stress off of your shoulders. Whether you're looking for your florist, photographer, designer, or caterer, all of the steps below will be helpful. If just thinking about planning your wedding stresses you out, you might consider hiring a planner!

Ask Around. Once you're ready to start, think about along those closest to you. Friends and family might have the best recommendations and get you started in a good direction!

Approach the Pros. Your venue has most likely had a lot of experience working with multiple different vendors. They probably have favorites or can give you recommendations on what you're specifically looking for.

Invision. Imagine your wedding day and look around for the most important vendors. Do you absolutely want to have a bartender or are you envisioning a self serve station? Is there a DJ or live music. Writing a list of your most important ideas will help you get started.

Attend Bridal Shows. Bring some friends or family and enjoy taking the time to meet potential vendors in person!

Review. The internet can help you either start your search or narrow your choices down. Reading reviews takes some true "gut listening" since they can be true OR false, but it's a good way to learn as much as possible about a team or individual. Too much research is never a bad thing when it comes to your big day!
