The Blacklists ends in an expectedly uninteresting and lethargic way....
The Blacklist season 10 has felt off right from the very beginning. There just feels like there hasn't been a purpose to this season apart from saying that the show reached 10 seasons and having some sort of ending. But there wasn't any real drive in the season. The initial hope was that the drive would be in returning Blacklisters teaming up against Red and the task force, but that storyline fizzled out very fast. The final arc also felt fairly by the numbers and ended the season and series in a way that was unsatisfying but also completely expected. There hasn't been any narrative drive in the show for years now, and it has never felt like the writers had any specific endgame in mind, and that is how it felt. The show rendered the task force members to be rather toothless. At no point for years have the task force been able to one up Red. The finale should have concluded with Ressler catching up with Red and then Red dying, instead of using the weird Bull metaphor they introduced in season 10 to kill Red, that never made much sense to me. I think Harold Cooper suffered the most as a character because he spent the entire season being so indignant that Red kept conning them, as if he hadn't done that a 100 times. There was no real closure to any of the characters. Aram never returned after the season premiere. We don't know what happened to Cooper, Ressler, Dembe, Siya, Herbie etc... We just have to assume things. The show should have given some closure for the first 3 characters at least. I mean, Ressler came back to the FBI because of The Blacklist being Liz's calling and wanting to not have her death be the end. What would he do now given there is no more task force and no more Reddington? I can assume that Cooper retired, and Dembe maybe goes and reunites with his daughter. But still, just a montage showing what the characters are doing would have been nice. I never expected any further info about Red's identity because I feel they gave the answer in the season 8 finale without coming out and directly saying it, and it isn't important anymore anyways. There was a nice monologue by Dembe in the finale, which was well acted, and there were some nice scenes with Reddington with various characters, and I liked that Ressler is the one to finally find Reddington at the end and we see him put Red's hat on Red's body as a sign of respect, but all in all, an underwhelming end to an underwhelming season, to a show that was great for about 6 seasons, before it started treading water.

I just thought of something funny for haunted heist, the voice we heard for Reginald E. Scary(Chris Diamantopoulos) is what the bad guys assume is what he sound like (Snake was also voiced by Chris Diamantopoulos in the special, I wouldn’t be surprised if Snake was the one who voice acted as him during the prank) and he actually sounds much different than what the bad guys expect and a lot different than what his appearance would suggest.
Yeah, that would have been funny 🤣
I can see Snake doing the voice for the prank since we hear him talk in his voice for a moment. (That actor did a very good job with them).
The gang wouldn't really know what he would have sounded like (there was most likey no recording of his voice, just the painting of him and what he look like).
If we had heard Reginald's real voice, I think it would have been an almost very deep voice with a bit of an accent. Since he's a Shoebill Stork, which is normally found in East Africa. And since we don't know anything else but the information that we've been told, we can just theorize.
(To me, I think that Hisham Tawfiq would have voice him if we heard his real voice).
Or, if we're still going funny, his voice could be a high sound voice.

Send 📷 + a faceclaim, and I will make up an OC I think would match the faceclaim
(original image)
This is long so read more!
'Zull' is the subject pronoun, used in place of 'he', 'she', 'they'. 'Zum' is the object pronoun, used in place of 'him', 'her', 'them'. 'Zuh' is the possessive pronoun, used in place of 'his', 'hers', 'theirs'.
Name: Kerall
Age: Unknown
Pronouns
Earth - Any, though most use neutral or typically masculine pronouns for zum.
Verrirmor - 'Zull/zum/zuh' (origins in the ancient language of Yourisll)
Pronunciations: The 'z' in all three is a softer sound, like when saying 'bzzzz'. Both 'zull' and 'zum' are pronounced with an 'er' sound in the u's position, like the long Swedish 'ö' as in 'öl' (beer). 'zerll' and 'zerm'. 'Zuh' is pronounced as it's written, with a short 'uh' sound.
Powers
Air Manipulation - Also known as aerokinesis, air manipulation is the ability to manipulate any form of air or gas. In Kerall's case, zull can only manipulate air that already exists in an area. Zull can change air currents, build a gale force wind, and suck air from an area. Zuh favourite way that zull've discovered to use the gale force capabilities of zuh manipulation power is to use that wind to force things back or away or just to form a fast moving cushion of air between zum and danger. It benefits zum greatly.
Kerall lived in Zonfer for much of zull life. Zull grew up in Zonfer and, as quickly as anyone else living in the frozen area, learned of the dangers of this place. Zuh parents were both involved with rescuing unfortunate people who were trapped in avalanches or lost, with zuh mother able to create portals. Zuh father would use his own ability to manipulate the air to provide more ability to breathe or prevent worse dangers while others worked.
Portal Creation - Portal creation is exactly what it sounds like; Kerall can form a portal anywhere to anywhere, provided zull know where zull are trying to end up. It can go badly, but zull have enough experience with creating portals that zull can do it with ease. There are still limitations; zull cannot create portals between realms, such as Earth and Verrirmores, for example, and zull have to be focused on what zull are doing to ensure that nothing goes wrong. Immensely useful, regardless of these limitations.
---
Eventually, partially because the cold bothered zum a little too much for zum to be comfortable, zull moved to Yourisll. Yourisll is where zuh grandparents on zuh mother's side came from and the birthplace of zuh name, so it felt natural to Kerall that Yourisll should be where zull lived to escape the cold and ice and snow of Zonfer.
A few days after becoming settled, Kerall met an absolute bastard of a man called Tynite, who enjoyed speaking in whatever language he felt like. Dargene? Equite? Ancient Dargene? An obscure language from the place of Rirmor, where it is widely believed that no one has ever lived? All fair game.
As such, upon meeting Kerall, Tynite asked, 'how do I refer to you?' (or, 'ow od I fer ot oy?' because Tynite is fluent in too many languages, including Zonfer's). Zonfer doesn't have any way to refer to others than their names, though, as Zonfer's hostile climate and dangerous mountains require that everyone be able to communicate quickly and easily. It was through Tynite that Kerall began learning the language of Yourisll, a language learned primarily through writing and a language that holds tight links with the past.
It was through others in Yourisll that Kerall learned more about zuh ability to create portals, learned how to make it easier for zum, how to hone zuh skill somewhat. It was thanks to these lessons that zull has now joined zuh parents, helping to rescue others in the mountains of Zonfer, only to return to zuh home in Yourisll, because the cold really did bother zum.
Kerall is, overall, incredibly caring but somewhat cold. Zuh warmth is in zuh actions, not zuh words, but is not reserved for any specific person. It's not the ways of those born in Zonfer to treat others as anything but a potential friend, possibly family, and this is obvious in Kerall, too. Zull are, however, overwhelmingly curious. Zuh curiosity outweighs anything else. If given the opportunity to learn, zull will take it. There will be no hesitation, no chance of zull deciding not to do it, none of that. Curiosity will fuel zum through anything and everything, and is often an easy way for zum to become friends with others. It's an added benefit.

psycho type of question to ask i'm sorry but do you know if anyone knows what kind of cologne james wears? i don't know why anyone would know this actually except if he made some brief mention of it in an interview somewhere along the way... okay i'm changing my question to something better: what do you imagine each of james' characters might smell like? :)
Omg no ur not crazy I think about the same things… Ok so I did a deep dive into everything I could find and there’s not MUCH info—Hisham Tawfiq said they’re not allowed to wear colognes and perfumes on the TBL set so he didn’t know about James and Karina Arroyave (actress who played Mierce) said the same thing, if he wore anything it was never noticeable to her
BUT according to my sources (a few fan forums and twitter lol) multiple people who’ve met him said he smells like Irish Spring soap 🥹😮💨 I’d imagine for a long time he smelled like cigarettes too but as far as I know it’s been about six years since he quit, unless he picked it up again
EACH of his characters oh man we’d be here all day… yk @robertcaliforniagf and I were just talking about this Willow made a list!!! I think it’s very accurate a lot of cigar smells and masculine woody warm notes… Also the internet rocks and I found this website that identifies colognes and other scents in movies—Max in White Palace uses Polo by Ralph Lauren and Graham in slv shaves with Barbasol… a very light classic creamy barbershop smell yeah I can picture that for him
#another fan said they can’t remember what he smelled like but his hands were soft. I’m chewing my arm off#red wears something nice and expensive. maybe he’s got a signature scent maybe he has different ones for different suits…#steff wears too much of something kind of obnoxious but once you get used to it it’s very sweet. his lips taste like buttercream frosting#sorry I say that every day but it’s true he’s like sweet vanilla icing to me#alan wears something very expensive but he doesn’t put too much thought in it. he found it after law school when he started making money and#liked it so it’s just what he buys now. but if a gf got him something else (expensive) he’d probably wear that too he doesn’t really care#something clean but not clinical at all. very warm actually and just subtle enough you want to get closer to smell him better#jack pozzi music of chance smells like the cheapest cologne you’ve ever heard of. and he’s kind of damp#ask#anonymous
