Smiling the Thaumaturge said, “Yes, the décor is a bit different isn’t it? I teleported it from Ilata. Well, actually I teleported it from Ilata to Skellig and again from Ilata to here but that’s another story. I was traveling in Montecalvo where I won a tourney of Gwynt and thus obtained the Toussaynt accouterments you have before you. A well-constructed spell and here we are.” The blood hunter sat down dropping his bestiary but taking little note of it as he had nearly memorized it at this point. The Thaumaturge picked it up with a frown and tossed it into the fireplace. The blood hunter yelled, “N'ess aedragh a me, Bloede pest!” Tossing a much larger and newly minted tome at the blood hunter the Thaumaturge said, “kiss your mum with that mouth? Calm down, Khaled. That was a draft of the first edition, this is the fourth edition and with an expansion for beasts of the northern realms.” Frowning the blood hunter took the volume while his companions looked at each other awkwardly.

“Sigi,” the blood hunter sighed, “you know that favor you own me…well, you said anything no matter the cost and I am here to collect.” Smiling but just barely he replied, “My name is Altair Steros Buntz and you know this, Khaled. I hate it when you call me Sigi. You know there is a rotund spy turned chancellor named Sigi. I’d prefer you to not associate me with the likes of him but, yes, an oath is an oath. But first some soft cheese and mulled cider.” Pulling out a plate with fine cheeses, smoked meats, dried dates with small tumblers of cider they feasted while Iamystold his story. Rubbing his chin, the Thaumaturge said, “Well, that is quite a story. Yes, I can help you. Actually, we have three options. The first is simple. I can enchant a draught of inducement. Shortly after drinking your beloved shall be with child. The second will require alchemy ingredients, but it can be employed with a magical device at a distance. The third will require drastic actions and is in fact quite dangerous. Fatal even but it will cure your condition.” Khaled eyed the Thaumaturge and said, “…go on,” while the Thaumaturge drank more cider. “So, we have the first option. Simple process of enchanting the fluid and infusing it in the wine. That’s not to say it will not have an odd taste. Therefore, I will use a runic bottle to mask it. Problem is that the spell is a glamour and would not make the Marquess fertile. It would require another man to woo fair damsel. The second uses a transfiguration stone to…well, how can I put it, to magically and briefly make the seed fertile and inseminate the damsel. Again, you’d need to bed her in a reasonable amount of time otherwise people would see through the rouse. It would not require another man, but the child could be lame, sterile and as was the case the last time…the child could be born under the curse of the black sun. Lastly, we can use a process similar to the blood hunter’s initiation of grasses with subsequent reagents. It’s based on research done by Professor Moreau but obviously there are dangers.”

Khaled sighed, “…I don’t like the third option. It could easily kill the Marquessand thus would hinder me courting the Sultanate of Quanmyciafor the contract at hand.” Sitting back Altair Steros said, “Yes, truer words never spoken, master blood hunter, but be mindful that the first two options are not guaranteed. In the end, if you are determined on this course of action you may have to do the latter.” Downing some meat as its juices dripped down his chin the blood hunter replied, “Well, if it comes to that I will return him home and conclude business with the Malliq. If Iamyswants to do the latter it will be on his own time and uneza. He will have to live with the consequences.” Iamysand his vassal nodded in agreement and the trio feasted late into the night until they all passed out.

First team to win four Euros, first team to win all their matches at a Euro (and even before the final, first team to win six matches at a single Euro). Best team by far in the tournament and they did it with such ease, more easily than even the iconic Spain squads of old. I felt more relieved than happy when the whistle blew (and spent a good portion of the match yelling at the TV lol) because England has had luck with late goals, but god, this is the most deserving team. It was obvious from the start. I don't feel as in love with this side as the 2008–12 squads, but I'm so happy for them and they're so lovable. :') Maybe some of them aren't household names, but they're such a united group and god, seeing Morata and Carvajal (this Euro, I've finally managed to put aside my dislike for him—at least on the national level) share an emotional moment like that, seeing everyone pile on at the end. Just...super happy for everyone especially ones who got criticized or whom people dismissed.

Happy that Nico's MOTM, Rodri's best player of the Euros (so deserved! I was nervous when they subbed him during half-time), Nico scored and Lamine assisted him, and Dani Olmo, wow. What a tournament's he had and Oyarzabal won the match, but Olmo saved it. WHAT kind of insane save was that?!?!?! :')<3 I'm excited to see where this Spain side goes over the next few years. And happy Jesús Navas got another Euro title under his belt so he's level with a lot of his 2010 and 2012 compatriots who were around for 2008.

ANYWAY, SPAIN!!!! FOUR TITLES! After becoming the only other team besides France to win three major titles! And the only other team to have won the men's and women's World Cups! FIRST MAJOR TITLE (sorry, I'm not counting the Nations League here even though I just mentioned it) SINCE 2012. I can't believe twelve years have gone by, and ngl I got sentimental seeing Iniesta, V*lla, and Xavi...and I heard Torres was somewhere too, but I only saw other players/managers like Lahm, Ibra, Bale, Klinsmann, etc.? :/ But god, I felt so emotional seeing them. I got into Spain when they were known as that national team that is super talented but never won a World Cup and their only Euro win was in 1964 and now look at them. :')

14 times. Just imagine moving, all the stress and headache it requires. Now imagine moving with almost nothing left, under the threat of bombing, bullets, and disease. Ibrahim was nearly struck by a bullet in the head the other day, it hit right behind him in a tent pole. Still he works hard to keep their phone charged, which requires standing in long lines and waiting for hours, making educational videos about Gaza, and participating in daily life and making new friends even in neighboring tents.

If he had not been at this book presentation, the day would have been spent resting.

- People think that it happens so much, but it does not. There is a lot to eat, sleep, exercise. I have been doing it now for almost 25 years, he says.

His partner Helena Seger tells him that it is time for her to start working and for him to take care of the household when he leaves.

- She's on me all the time. Had she had a choice, I would have quit a long time ago. But it is hard. I'm who I am thanks to football. We would not have sat and talked here if it had not been for football. So everything hangs on the ball that I walk around and kick.

He has not come up with anything that can replace what football gives him, so he is afraid.

- That is what makes me start the whole system. Every morning I wake up I have pain everywhere. It is not that the pain disappears, it moves. But then this fear comes in, the adrenaline. It makes me move forward, train and fight. I keep pushing this to end my career. It's better to keep that in mind, to never stop, says Zlatan and laughs.

- It's like a dream: you do not want it to come true. It is better to keep the dream.

"I've seen a lot of parents out there pushing their kids - but that's not how it works."

Zlatan's two sons who are aged 13 and 15, also play football. They registered with Hammarby with their mother's last name, to be protected from attention.

- So that there is not too much pressure on them, but I do not know, people point, people talk, people walk around and whisper. They have still handled it very well and they are strong, says Zlatan.

But the elder now wants Ibrahimovic on his back.

- He has chosen, he will be Ibrahimovic. The little one is still small. But it is not important to me, the most important thing for me is that they are healthy and well.

Zlatan writes in the book about how he did everything to be Zlatan's father to the children, not the football star "Ibra". At home, they have no pictures of him as a player, or trophies he took home.

- I do not demand anything. I just want them to fight and do their best. And that they do it for their own sake, not for dad or mom or anyone else. I have seen a lot of parents out there pushing their children, almost so that it is mandatory for them to become professionals. That's not how it works.

But just like all other children, the sons understand what the parents value. Especially after the boys start playing football, they ask their mother: "What does dad think of me?"

What's it like to hear that as a dad?

Zlatan grimaces.

- They want feedback and proof that I think they are okay. But it does not matter what I think, the important thing is what they themselves think. It applies to everyone. I mean, when I play matches, the newspapers can write that I'm the best in the world, that I made a great match, but I might have thought I made a less good match.

Do they understand that?

- Not yet. It's a lot: "What should I do, what do you think?" Which is normal. They are young, they are curious, they see the life I live, but they do not know what awaits them if they go all the way, says Zlatan.

He thinks about it and says that maybe it's for the sake of the children he should find something else that is worth spending his days on.

- I do not know if it is good that we are three who think football is so important. I may be the one to say: it's okay, you drive, I sit in the armchair and enjoy.

he is originally from a wealthy british couple. his parents took a trip to america when he was four, and were killed in a car accident. none of his relatives stepped forward to take him in, so he was put into a foster home. 

he was also never adopted. when he was eighteen he left the home and went off on his own. he had a part-time job at the time, so he managed to get a small apartment. 

when he was twenty, a friend told him about an underground fighting league. at first he was hesitant about getting himself into that type of scene, but after winning one fight he was hooked. slowly he became a regular face around the group. he’s only lost a few times, but he doesn’t tend to flaunt his record around.

 he does want to go professional one day (and even may in some threads) but he’s still trying to figure out how to get there. 

he’s not a very easy person to talk to. he tends to be quiet, and can come off as mean without even trying when he does speak. he’s really just a little awkward when it comes to people. once he warms up to someone, his harshness somewhat subsides. 

he owns a pet rottweiler named midnight he got from a shelter after he moved into a bigger apartment.
