I've been asked to write a post by @abuadam86 because she is really worried about her disabled son Adam. Adam is only 10 years old and he suffers from quadriplegia, which is a type of paralysis that causes a complete and severe loss of motor function of all 4 limbs and the body from the neck down! He requires a wheelchair to get around. Imagine how horrifying it must be when there you need to escape from a bombing, but you are not able to move and need a wheelchair to get to places and the streets are full of rubble!
Adam requires special food and medication, which is scarce in Gaza, and on the rare occasion it is available, very expensive!! Due to a lack of medicine, Adam suffers from frequent muscle spams! As a result of his condition, Adam also has difficulty swallowing and digesting food. Due to the lack of the special food he needs, he has lost 15 kg of weight! Moreover, he is also suffering from respiratory illness due to the polluted environment he is in! And Adam is only 10 years old!
Adam also have 3 siblings: Menna (12), Maria (6), and baby Ezz (1). They are now living in a tent that is not equipped to shield them from the cold. They do not have winter clothes, and most of the clothes they have are lying under the rubble. These children, in particular Adam, are suffering so much, and that is in addition to the frequent bombings!
This campaign is #187 on @/gazavetters vetted list, also vetted by association. Habib is a brother in law of @/hashemsh12 (shared by 90-ghost, vetted and promoted by @/gaza-evacuation-funds). Habib is also a relative of @/hazemsuhail (vetted by association). See post here for proof.
Only €3,038 raised of €50K goal! (6% only)
I actually have a cousin who suffers from a severe loss of motor function in his body and also has difficulties swallowing and digesting food as a result. I just want to say that support (e.g. medicine, equipment, the special food) for such a condition is already hard to get in normal circumstances, and as a result my cousin seldom leaves the house. If it is already difficult in normal circumstances, I can't imagine how Adam and his family are coping in the middle of a genocide! Please help them!
Tagging for reach. please message me if you want off the mailing list. we thank you in advance.

i saw in the real word au post showing what all the puppets look like, Barnaby has attachment issues. was there any sort of scenario that highlighted those issues? maybe wally having to comfort barnaby due to him freaking out over it, or? love the au, by the way! i find it fascinating! <3
Thanks so much! <3
There’s definitely a few scenes where their relationship is discussed in universe -
Barnaby isn’t truly trustful of humans that aren’t Fionn or Peony, since others he interacted with were scared of them and tried to hurt them. Even with Fionn’s presence when they’re out and about, he keeps him close by, even pick him up if you will, to keep Wally out of harm’s way. Barnaby will also panic if Wally disappears from his or everyone’s point of view, and Fionn has to stop him from running around a store on all fours yelling Wally’s name.
Wally, however, despite how overbearing Barnaby can be in this world, knows that all of this is from the heart - Barnaby clearly loves him, his best friend, and Wally loves him too-
Barnaby sometimes stays up late on guard, keeping an eye on everyone, especially his lil buddy, and Wally will also stay up to keep him comfortable and ease his worries
#welcome home#welcome home au#real world au#wally darling#barnaby b beagle#resisting the urge to make Wally x Barnaby in the AU……….#I love the ship so much#but I already have Frowdie and Sally x Julie#I’ll save it for other AUs/scenarios cjdjcjdjxj

ik i should focus on requests but i just have some ideas
what if the reader from the slytherin x dormmate reader series ended up in ravenclaw? (spoiler alert he now has a ravenclaw yandere harem) will address the slytherin side of this conundrum in another post but for now i present
YANDERE HOGWARTS: RAVENCLAW BOYS X DORMMATE READER
"ravenclaw" the entire hall falls dead silent, m/n l/n, from the famous l/n family? the purebloods that have been in slytherin for centuries? a ravenclaw. the young boy had a look of horror on his face as he sat there in shock.
the sorting hat was taken off his head and mcgonagall ushered him towards the ravenclaw table. "no- but" he squeked out as he was sat with the rest of the first year ravenclaws. he felt himself bumping into someone as he sat down, oh my god did i just touch a mudblood, m/n thought, stealing a glance at the person- boy, who was next to him, merlin help me i'm going to hell.
"names michael corner" m/n heard the faint voice of another boy, his handoutstretched as the prefect led the first years up the ravenclaw tower stairs. do i have to do this walk everyday, m/n thought to himself as he stared ahead blankly. "you alright, mate?" the boy walking next to m/n spoke once again, waving his hand in front of m/n's face.
taking it one step further, the boy poked m/n on the cheek, snapping him out of his thoughts - "get your hands off me you filthy-" "quiet down first years, this is the entrance to the common room" m/n was cut off by the prefect, sending a glare the boy - maxwell?, myles? michael?.
• yeah so homeboy reader was not prepared to get sorted into any house but slytherin. i mean ig ravenclaw is better than hufflepuff or god forbid gryffindor but by a small margin.
• dude kinda misses his slythergremlins sure they were annoying but at least they aren't going to suck the magic out of him like the muggleborns in ravenclaw were.
• so reader doesn't really get off on the best foot with his new dormmates, probably says something offensive, and boom, now his dormmates hate him. not to mention his childhood friends who got sorted into slytherin as expected started giving him the cold shoulder.
• okay so they don't hate him but he does feel like the odd one out. yes his first question when he arrived at the dorms was their blood status's and he purposely moved his bed further away from them just so he didn't accidentally catch half blood cooties but it only took him six months to stop scrubbing down the shower before taking one incase one of them carried a virus that would convert him into a blood traitor.
TERRY BOOT (fancast fionn whitehead):
• terry boot is probably the most offended of the three, the other two take the readers behaviour in relative stride but terry get's pretty bothered. is it because he's upset that reader doesn't like him or is it because he's actually offended? the world may never know
• at some point he started going through readers stuff, just to make sure he isn't trying to poison us, but steals little keepsakes like socks, pins and the l/n family signet ring that sent the reader on a rampage for an entire month before he gave up on finding it.
• the winter break after that, reader came back to hogwarts with bruises all across his legs.
"you fell down the stairs? is your coordination that poor or are you getting an early start on the hereditary alcholism in your family" terry scoffed, arms folded, a sceptic expression on his face as he observed the boys bruised limbs.
m/n scoffed "the l/n house has moving stairs you dimwit" he quickly closed the door to the bathroom "you nearly fell down the staircase on the way to potions last term" he added from behind the door. terry frowned, did he see scars on l/n's arm as well? he reached down into his pocket and gripped onto the signet ring he had taken from m/n's bedside table in november.
maybe i should give it back, he thought as he observed the pattern on the ring. as he approached m/n's bed, he began searching for a place to put the ring - on the table? inside the little cauldron? under the bed.
terry kneeled down, moving the sheet's out the way as the shoved it under neath the bunk. you know what, he called me mudblood last year, he can suffer. and with that, boot took the ring and hid it back in his pillowcase.
• terry is a denial kind of yandere, at least in this case, he justifies his actions in his mind and see's nothing wrong with what he does. stealing their stuff? friends share things all the time, stalking them? no he's just going in the same direction, manipulating them? he's sorry if they feel that way but that wasn't his intention.
• his initial dislike of the reader is what fuels his obsession, he simultaneously hates them, wants to be them and wants to be with them. terry thinks he wants the reader to become more accepting of life outside the pureblood bubble he was raised in but once he does and is able to function without the help of his dormmates, terry becomes abominably jealous.
• oh, you ate dinner all on your own without having to wait for terry and anthony to sit next to you and protect you from actual muggleborns? the audacity.
MICHAEL CORNER (fancast owen teague):
• michael is nowhere near as offended as terry, he honestly finds the readers behaviour kind of amusing if not a bit weird. but all purebloods are weird like that, besides it's impossible to hate someone with such a pretty face.
• his darling might be a bigoted blood supremacist but they're his bigoted blood supremacist. he's not as pressed about educating the reader about equality as terry he just figures that eventually the reader will fall madly in love with him and decide that true love is more important than the bloodline and then they'll have 10 babies together and live happily ever after.
• so please don't burst his bubble and act disgusted or blatantly reject his advances. michael really tries to ease his darling into his affection but doesn't really understand that going from sitting next to each other in classes is not one step below sleeping in his bed with him.
"what on merlins beard are you doing" m/n yelled as he swiftly kicked michael in the stomach, flinging the other off his bed. with an oomph, corner placed a hand on his stomach "ow, what is wrong with you" he whined, shifting to lean on his elbows, staring at m/n with a shocked expression "i should be asking what's wrong with you - have you not heard of personal space"
michael clicked his tongue, his eyes rolling "surely we've known each other for long enough to have sleepovers.. you know what a sleepover is right?" "i've never even seen your family tree and you want me to share a bed with you" m/n let out a scoff "you half-bloods are like cavemen merlin help me" he laid back and covered himself with his blanket.
blinking, michael fell silent for a moment "would you like me to get you a copy?" he finally asked, elaborating when the irritated boy muttered what from under the blanket "i'll find my family tree records and give you a copy if you'd like" he replied surely, a smile gracing his face.
m/n pulled the blanket down from covering his face, "well" he started, furrowing his brows, as if deep in thought "i guess so?"
• michael is the only one who openly pursues a romantic relationship with the reader. the darling can never tell the other two's true intentions but god damn is it obvious that michael's goal is to put a ring on it.
• even in fifth year, when he had a few girlfriends, he could. not. leave. reader. alone. literally invited his darling on his dates with ginny and then cho and made several inappropriate propositions and talked about the reader too much on the rare occasions that he was alone with any of his girlfriends which is why they all broke up with him pretty quickly.
• "m/n" "what" "cho broke up with me can you date me instead" "wtf"
ANTHONY GOLDSTEIN (fancast tarjei sandvik moe):
• anthony is intrigued by the reader the moment they sat next to him on the night of the sorting ceremony. any attempts he made at befriending his darling fell on deaf ears. so.. he couldn't help but want to take a look into his mind. and he was a natural born legilimens so it's not like his darling would notice.
• becomes protective of him almost immediately after. his darling is just so fragile and needs someone mature like anthony to make good decisions on his behalf. anthony is quick to cut off his darling from his childhood friends, so that when they got over their shock over the readers sorting, reader would be too attached to his new best friend to want them back.
• he won't let the darling out of his sight, when he studies in the library so will they, they should also take the same classes as him so he can help them with their homework. will mess with their dreams if they try to distance themself from him.
what a poor baby, anthony cooed to himself as he watched m/n from a distance. his cheeks red and tear stained as he bit his index finger, a sob escaped his lips as he wiped his face with his sleeve.
sure, anthony could have stopped riddle, nott and malfoy from shoving m/n around and calling him vile names, but then he would miss out on m/n's endearing sob session that came afterwards.
in the corner of his eye he spotted malfoy on his way back, and swiftly rushed in, hooking his arms with m/n's and dragging the other off with them "wh-" "malfoys on his way back" anthony picked up his pace "were you were watching the whole time?" m/n asked shakily. anthony pulled them both into another corridor, turning to face m/n "yes" he blinked "and you didn't do anything!" the red-faced boy choked out.
anthony smirked "you.. wanted me to come and defend you from malfoy and his goons?" his heart skipped a beat as m/n remained silent, looking defeated "no- i just- uh... i don't- i just" m/n stuttered, face flushing even redder as he stared at the ground.
• anthony infantilises his darling, treating him as a child that can't do anything right. it gets even worse in fifth year when he becomes a prefect: "dumbledore made me a prefect and not you because he knows you can barely tie your own shoelaces"
• goidsteins a lil condescending towards his darling, he exaggerates their mistakes and downplays their achievements. anything to make them dependent on his constant presence. he feels bad sometimes but when they come running to him for everything, it's all worth it ✨
• unlike other groups of yanderes *cough* the slytherins *cough*, these three don't have much of a problem sharing. they're already good friends, and aren't nearly as possesive as some yandere's (le slytherins) not to mention; at first, it's only michael who is openly pursuing the darling romantically.
• terry and anthony don't realise that they like the darling in the same way michael does until like, fifth year. sure there had been cuddling, shared showers and a bit too much emotional intimacy for 'just friends' but what can you expect from a bunch of nerds 😔✋.
• the ravenclaws foster one hell of a dependant relationship with the reader, becoming the only people he isn't nervous around, convincing him everyone else wouldn't be as understanding and his old friends hate him they want him dead so they promise to look after him in return for.. access to the l/n's private library.
• no they expect affection and loyalty back also as soon as they all graduate readers going to move out of his family home and move in with them dormmates for life right?
• no they aren't the worst yandere's not by a milestone but there's just something so suffocating about them.
• the darling will eventually be pressured into a poly relationship with the three. yes they actually ask him if he wants to date them but it's a rhetorical question it's either yes, or no and they start spiking his water with amortentia - then it's also yes.
• as ravenclaws, they realise that violence is not the answer, mind control is. disobedience, rejection, and provoking jealousy will result in the use of the imperius curse or a love potion.

How Gwynriel and Elucien mirror Quinlar and Satharion
SJM creates characters that mirror each other in each world. They have similar appearance/vibe, similar powers, similar backstory/family origins or similar role.
Rhysand, Ruhn and Dorian. Lidia and Aelin. Amren and Fury. Jessiba and Merrill. Connor and Sam. Einar and Beron. Danika and Fenrys or Danika and Nehemia, depending on how you see it. Yrene and Hypaxia. Vassa and Ariadne.
Even the villains, Vesperus and Maeve, the Valg, the Death Gods and the Princes of Hel. Their gods: Deanna and Luna, Hel and Hellas, Urd and Wyrd. Their kings and queens: Theia and Mala-firebringer. Fionn and Brannon. Elena and Helena. Gavin and Pelias.
Acosf and CC were written pretty much next to each other. So, what if Gwyn is Bryce's mirror?
They're both redheads with freckles.
Mixed: high fae + sth else that is considered lesser.
They work in a library/artifact gallery under a strict librarian.
They wear an amulet that librarians wear, with protective powers.
They both have Autumn Court heritage.
They both grew up or spent some of their childhood years in a temple.
Jelly jubilee was used to foreshadow that Bryce was Starborn and the heir of Dusk Court, while the miniature pegasus was connected to Gwyn in the scene where she cuts the ribbon and Emerie mentions that the pegasus liked Gwyn the best.
Bryce has light powers and it's possible that Gwyn also has similar powers. I believe since Bryce isn't interested in ruling or moving in Prythian, then the land will choose someone else. I just think that all those similarities and the miniature pegasus foreshadowing are something that cannot be ignored, in addition to Gwydion and the possibility that she'll be the one to wield it.
And what if Azriel and Hunt are also mirrors?
Hunt is called umbra mortis, which means shadow of death, while Azriel's name comes from Azrael the angel of death and he has shadow powers.
Dark and broody with wings.
Hunt worked as an assassin for the Archangels and hated himself, while Azriel is the torturer of the NC and hates himself. Also, this:
Just like Azriel, who was tortured and wasn't allowed to fly or see the sunlight for years.
Considering, also, the mating language parallels between the two couples, I believe all this just seals the deal for gwynriel endgame and opens the possibility that Gwyn could also be the one to wield Gwydion and/or rule Dusk Court.
Let's not forget their bonus chapters ended the same way.
Same goes for Sathia and Elain:
light brown hair and pretty
associated with flowers
in love with sb who broke up with her but still they went after him (Elain with Graysen, Sathia with Colin)
mated/married with a redhead who has done nothing but respect them and still wants to be with them after everything
Elain is soft and kind, loves to hold court. Her mother saw her as a "doll to dress up" and that she'd only marry for "love and beauty." Sathia is similar.
Lucien and Tharion also share similarities:
redhead, charming and sarcastic
no place to call home. Lucien is from the Autumn Court but his biological father is Helion, HL of the Day Court, he was emissary for Spring and now he's working as an emissary for Night, while staying in the human lands and in Spring Court/Tharion is mer but loves all things Above, he was hunted by the River Queen, he was staying with Ruhn, Flynn and Declan, until he was forced to make a deal with the Viper Queen
emissary work, Tharion is Captain of Intelligence but as we see he was sent as a representative to the Summit
Lucien wants to get to know Elain but her love for Graysen and her trauma makes it difficult, Lucien respects her decisions/Tharion married Sathia to get her out of a difficult situation but Sathia still went after Collin, Tharion respected her decision but still went after her in order to save her from the Viper Queen.
I think it's possible that Tharion and Sathia are also mates like Elucien, especially when we consider how protective she was of him against the Viper Queen -even though Colin was the one actually in danger.

Azriel's association with Enalius, what it means for his arc and Illyria
This is something me and my friends have talked about off tumblr, but I wanted to write my own post about it and gather my thoughts. But here, I'll discuss a bit Azriel's character and how the revelations we witness in House of Flame and Shadow will be important to his character. (+ a little bit of Emerie).
What do we know about Enalius? From ACOSF, Emerie provides us with a little exposition when they are in the Rite, when the Pass of Enalius is brought up:
Long ago—so long ago they don’t even have a precise date for it—a great war was fought between the Fae and the ancient beings who oppressed them. One of its key battles was here, in these mountains. Our forces were battered and outnumbered, and for some reason, the enemy was desperate to reach the stone at the top of Ramiel. We were never taught the reason why; I think it’s been forgotten. But a young Illyrian warrior named Enalius held the line against the enemy soldiers for days.
Now, from the Crescent City crossover, we learned that Truth-teller and Gwydion are twin blades. They are a pair. According to the Silene History Lesson, the dagger used to belong to her father's (Fionn's) dear friend, slain during the war. A bit later, when they find Vesperus, she confirms that this friend was Enalius:
The Asteri’s eyes flared with recognition at the long blade. “Did Fionn send you, then? To slay me in my sleep? Or was it that traitor Enalius? I see that you bear his dagger—as his emissary? Or his assassin?”
Immediately before that, she also confirms that the Asteri crafted (which can either mean created, shaped forged, but we are going with created) the Illyrians:
The Asteri’s blue eyes lowered to the dagger. “You dare draw a weapon before me? Against those who crafted you, soldier, from night and pain?”
From everything, we can conclude this: Enalius was the original wielder of Truth-teller before Fionn and Theia, a dear friend to Fionn, and someone who pulled the ultimate sacrifice to keep the Asteri/Daglan from reaching the top of Ramiel. He was a traitor to the Asteri, a rebel against his masters and everything they stood for.
Enalius is the hero most Illyrians strive to mimic, the legendary figure who they all hope to one day surpass. He's a symbol of their people, even if so much about him has been forgotten — the fact that he had a dagger, Fionn's friendship, what the battle was for, maybe even how he was as a person. Brave, for sure. Willing to die for the cause.
And it's Azriel who bears his dagger. Azriel, who has such a complicated relationship with his Illyrian heritage and loaths it - and by extension, himself - is the one with this enormous legacy right at this hand. And this matters.
Still in ACOSF, we have Rhys talking with Cassian and wanting him to play Courtier, the following exchange then follows:
“What, we’re doing some role reversal? Az gets to lead the Illyrians now?” “Don’t play stupid,” Rhys said coolly. Cassian rolled his eyes. But they both knew Azriel would sooner disband and destroy Illyria than help it. Convincing their brother that the Illyrians were a people worth saving was still a battle amongst the three of them.
Azriel hates the Illyrians for what happened to him and his mother and his dislike for them is, to a degree, understandable. The thing is that Azriel, no matter how much he loaths it, is Illyrian. Maybe he's more than that (as it's pointed that Az is different in a lot of ways and Bryce wonders if he is Starborn), but at heart, he's Illyrian. Siphons, leathers, fighting, being Carynthian, his wings, his scabbard and the dagger it holds.
It was healthy, perhaps, for Az to sometimes remember where he'd come from. He still wore the Illyrian leathers. Had not tried to get the tattoos removed. Some part of him was Illyrian still. Always would be. Even if he wished to forget it.
Being Illyrian is part of who he is and his deep hatred for them only fuel his self-loathing. He would like to set himself apart, but he is not.
We can actually draw a direct parallel between Azriel and Bryce with how they regard the Fae vs the Illyrians. Bryce loathes the Fae and for most of HoFaS, she believes they are evil, corrupt, power-hungry and quite generally, not worth saving. She would leave them all to burn. Sound familiar?
And Bryce is wrong. Sathia challenges her notion, pointing out that she's laying judgement to all fae and that is hardly fair. What the one who don't deserve it? Herself, yes, but Flynn, Declan, and Ruhn himself? Do they deserve to burn too? Bryce herself acknowledges this:
Urd had sent her there to see, even in the small fraction of their world that she’d witnessed, that Fae existed who were kind and brave. She might have had to betray Nesta and Azriel, trick them … but she knew that at their cores, they were good people. The Fae of Midgard were capable of more. Ruhn proved it. Flynn and Dec proved it. Even Sathia proved it, in the short time Bryce had known her.
And this part here sums up quite neatly:
Fire met starlight met shadows, and Bryce loosed herself on the world. It ended today. Here. Now. This had nothing to do with the Asteri, or Midgard. The Fae had festered under leaders like these males, but her people could be so much more.
There are Illyrians who are kind and brave and break the mold. We see this with Emerie, who is also a woman. We see that with Balthazar, Cassian. The main point stands, though, that you cannot judge or condemn an entire race for the bad apples.
Azriel is wrong, just as Bryce was wrong, and his journey will be also to realise that his people are worth saving. They were created of night and pain (words that Azriel embodies, being a master of shadows and a torturer), but that is not everything they need to be. They can be more than soldiers. They can thrive.
And I believe this was something Enalius himself came to the believe, long ago. His people deserved more than to be slaves to the Asteri, forced to give them their power when need be, bred to live and die for them. They could be more. And Enalius died to free his people from their chains.
Is Azriel Enalius's blooded descendant? I'm not sure, but he doesn't need to be. Azriel is Enalius successor because he will finish what was started. He'll uncover the secrets of the past, what his people were in truth, what Enalius rebelled for, what he stood for, what the Blood Rite truly means - which he only got a glimpse of.
And this is where I think Emerie will also come in. She's s one of ACOSF most relevant characters and the first female Illyrian to be Carynthian. I think Emerie will also become an inspirational figure to the Illyrian women, another of these what they coud be. What they can be. And more importantly and that is just a theory, what they were.
Orestes was a warrior. What if so was Carynth and she was woman? The name always struck me as similar to Carina, which is the name of a constellation and commonly used by women. It would be ironic and another shaking revelation to the Illyrians that Carynth, for whom their greatest warriors are named after, was a woman.
Does that mean all Illyrian women must become Valkyries? No, but some might wish to follow this path whilst their society takes its time to catch up. They already shook the status quo and with Nesta poised to have a big role (andthe Valkyries along her), they will continue to do so.
Azriel will uncovered the lost history of Vesperus offered him all the clues he needed to start looking. His journey to find out this secrets will lead to him facing his own demons, confronting his loathing for his people and, in doing so, he will make peace with himself.

Era 0 Ghoul Names
More Ghost worldbuilding
We now have more Era 0 ghoul content thanks to the music video for The Future Is a Foreign Land, and since I had so much fun coming up with a name for the Satanic version of the Rosary, I wanted to have some more etymological fun and try my hand at giving these ghouls some names!
Many have noticed that the patches that the ghouls wear in the dystopia sequence feature not only their elemental symbols, but also the symbols of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. This got the gears in my brain turning; since each Horseman is associated with a different colored horse, I wanted to see if I could find names for each ghoul that incorporates both their element and their Horseman color. After some fun research, I've come up with names for all four that meet both criteria!
Water/Conquest: Finn
"And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow..." (Revelation 6:2)
The name Finn is derived from the Irish/Scottish Gaelic name Fionn, meaning "white" or "fair-haired". It's also a homophone for the word "fin", like a fish's fin, which I think is perfect for a water ghoul. 😉
Fire/War: Phoenix
"And there went out another horse that was red...and there was given unto him a great sword." (Revelation 6:4)
Obviously the name Phoenix puts to mind the fiery mythological bird of the same name, which is derived from the Greek word φοῖνῐξ [phoînix]. The word has a rather complicated etymology and multiple meanings besides the mythical bird, one of which is the color crimson.
Air/Famine: Raven
"And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand." (Revelation 6:5)
This one is fairly straightforward; raven can be used as a synonym for black and is also the name of a bird, which I thought suited an air ghoul!
Earth/Death: Celadon
"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him." (Revelation 6:8)
This one is a little tricky as the original words used to describe the color of Death's horse (pallidus in Latin and χλωρός [khlōrós] in Greek) were used to mean either pale/pallid or a shade of green. I decided to split the difference and went with the pale grayish-green color celadon, which gets its name from a type of glazed green pottery. I think that the association with earthenware matches up well for an earth ghoul!
And there you have it! This was really fun to put together and I'm very happy with the results. If you like these names feel free to use them in fanworks. 😊
Thanks for reading!

|| COUNTDOWN || SEASON 1 EPISODE 03 || THE WAY OUT ||
#83daysofoutlander☆
"Oh, aye " Jamie sat forward a bit in anticipation, then realizing that he blocked my view, insisted that I sit on the other side of him, displacing Laoghaire down the bench. I could see the girl was not best pleased at this arrangement, and I tried to protest that I was all right as I was, but he was firm about it."No, you'll see and hear better there. And then, if he speaks in the Gaelic, I can whisper in your ear what he says."Each part of the bard's performance had been greeted with warm applause, though people chatted quietly while he played, making a deep hum below the high, sweet strains of the harp. But now a sort of expectant hush descended on the hall. Gwyllyn's speaking voice was as clear as his singing, each word pitched to reach the end of the high, drafty hall without strain.
"It was a time, two hundred years ago… "
He spoke in English, and I felt a sudden sense of déjà vu. It was exactly the way our guide on Loch Ness had spoken, telling legends of the Great Glen.It was not a story of ghosts or heroes, though, but a tale of the Wee Folk he told."There was a clan of the Wee Folk as lived near Dundreggan," he began. "And the hill there is named for the dragon that dwelt there, that Fionn slew and buried where he fell, so the dun is named as it is. And after the passing of Fionn and the Feinn, the Wee Folk that came to dwell in the dun came to want mothers of men to be wet nurses to their own fairy bairns, for a man has something that a fairy has not, and the Wee Folk thought that it might pass through the mothers' milk to their own small ones."Now, Ewan MacDonald of Dundreggan was out in the dark, tending his beasts, on the night when his wife bore her firstborn son. A gust of the night wind passed by him, and in the breath of the wind he heard his wife's sighing. She sighed as she sighed before the child was born, and hearing her there, Ewan MacDonald turned and flung his knife into the wind in the name of the Trinity. And his wife dropped safe to the ground beside him.
"The story was received with a sort of collective "ah" at the conclusion, and was quickly followed by tales of the cleverness and ingenuity of the Wee Folk, and others about their interactions with the world of men. Some were in Gaelic and some in English, used apparently according to which language best fitted the rhythm of the words, for all of them had a beauty to the speaking, beyond the content of the tale itself. True to his promise, Jamie translated the Gaelic for me in an undertone, so quickly and easily that I thought he must have heard these stories many times before. There was one I noticed particularly, about the man out late at night upon a fairy hill, who heard the sound of a woman singing "sad and plaintive" from the very rocks of the hill. He listened more closely and heard the words:"I am the wife of the Laird of BalnainThe Folk have stolen me over again."So the listener hurried to the house of Balnain and found there the owner gone and his wife and baby son missing. The man hastily sought out a priest and brought him back to the fairy knoll. The priest blessed the rocks of the dun and sprinkled them with holy water. Suddenly the night grew darker and there was a loud noise as of thunder. Then the moon came out from behind a cloud and shone upon the woman, the wife of Balnain, who lay exhausted on the grass with her child in her arms. The woman was tired, as though she had traveled far, but could not tell where she had been, nor how she had come there.Others in the hall had stories to tell, and Gwyllyn rested on his stool to sip wine as one gave place to another by the fireside, telling stories that held the hall rapt. Some of these I hardly heard. I was rapt myself, but by my own thoughts, which were tumbling about, forming patterns under the influence of wine, music, and fairy legends."It was a time, two hundred years ago… "It's always two hundred years in Highland stories, said the Reverend Wakefield's voice in memory.
The same thing as "Once upon a time," you know.
And women trapped in the rocks of fairy duns, traveling far and arriving exhausted, who knew not where they had been, nor how they had come there.I could feel the hair rising on my forearms, as though with cold, and rubbed them uneasily.
Two hundred years. From 1945 to 1743; yes, near enough. And women who traveled through the rocks. Was it always women? I wondered suddenly.Something else occurred to me.
The women came back. Holy water, spell, or knife, they came back. So perhaps, just perhaps, it was possible. I must get back to the standing stones on Craigh na Dun.
I felt a rising excitement that made me feel a trifle sick, and I reached for the wine goblet to calm myself.

In doing some research for my fic, I encountered a few names from different SJM books that seem to be derived from similar origins and I went on a bit of a trip trying to consider all the connections:
When researching some information regarding the inspiration for Helion (the God Helios) I discovered that Helios’s mother is called Theia and his sister is called Selene. Theia, Helios and Selene are all connected through solar elements like light, the sun and the moon.
If we recall from HOFAS, Silene was Theia’s second daughter who Azriel also claims looked like Rhys’s sister. We also know that she too was able to wield her mother’s Starborn powers (which is essentially starlight).
Helion’s power is also light and also has several similarities to Helios:
And I always question the potential foreshadowing of the scene below.
- ACOSF ch 41.
If I had to guess, perhaps Silene or a descendant of hers was married off to a member of the Night Court, which is why Rhys’s sister looks like her. But my real interest is the connection that Helion (and Lucien) has to the Trove, and their potential challenge to the theory that Rhys has a claim to the throne as a descendant of Fionn/Theia. The similarities in name could have been mere coincidence but the effect the trove had on Helion creates that potential connection to Theia and Fionn (I’m not saying he is Silene’s brother but they could be the ancestors to whom he is referring in ACOSF)
Then perhaps this chapter in ACOSF (ch 42) in which Amren urges Rhys to conquer Prythian claim the throne and he declines several times, only to have her respond with this line:
…might suggest that there are others who have equal claim to the throne.
Personally, I hate the potential High King plot line, especially if Rhys and Feyre will claim the throne (I could write an essay on why this would make no sense from a narrative perspective). There are so many references in HOFAS that highlight why Prythian failed under the ruling of one sovereign and we as readers experienced the reign of a sole ruler in book one. It just makes no sense for Prythian to return to a proven failed form of sovereignty, especially with Rhys and Feyre in those positions of power, when they only recently broke free from Amarantha’s reign.
However, should the High King and Queen narrative be necessary to the plot line, I would far prefer Helion/Lucien be the potential challenge to the throne over Rhys. The end of HOFAS even opens questions regarding Nesta’s future in a position of power in Prythian.
High King plot aside; these potential clues do make me even more interested to see how Lucien’s past will affect the rest of his story and the over arching plot of the series, how his power could be even stronger than we expected, how they could come into play with the Koschei plot line and whether he will play a larger role in the political future of Prythian as well.
But most interestingly is that Theia (the mother of Helios and Selene) was the Goddess of Sight and Vision, possessing prophetic powers, and it seems fitting that Helion’s own son is mated to a cauldron-blessed Seer. Mates fated to be together who are true equals in every way.

Let's talk about the "Fenian brotherhood" theory !! :D
Firstly, in case you don't know about it, please go read the theory that our!Ciel's birth name might be Fenian/Fionn/Finnian by @azuresins. It is incredibly relevant to what I'm about to explain next !
TBH, I don't really care about discovering our!Ciel's birth name. However, I truly enjoy this theory and I think it makes a lot of sense, because I absolutely agree with the idea of Vincent supporting (secretly or not) Irish independence, turning him into a political enemy of Queen Victoria...
...which could be very much why he ended up dead.
This theory comes from a private convo with my friend, @dorkshadows and I'll sum up their thoughts (and some of mine) below the cut !
First of all, while we think Claudia, Vincent's predecessor, may have been a personal enemy of Victoria because of whatever happened when Albert died in 1861, Vincent strikes us more as a political enemy precisely because of Brown's comment in ch108.
After all, if our!Ciel, who just managed to thwart their plans of getting the sulin gas, is "more like his father everyday", then it makes sense that Vincent "got in the way" of some of Victoria & JB's war/political plans too. >_>
Now, about the Fenian Cycle book: it was an important symbol for Irish independence and the Fenian Brotherhood that started in the 19th century before it got dissolved in 1880. To quote Wikipedia:
"The Fenian Brotherhood traced their origins back to 1790s, in the rebellion, seeking an end to British rule in Ireland initially for self-government and then the establishment of an Irish Republic. The rebellion was suppressed, but the principles of the United Irishmen were to have a powerful influence on the course of Irish history."
But how would Vincent even get involved with it and why?
In the theory that OC's name is Fenian/Finnian, @azuresins mentioned that maybe it's all related to Cedric K. Ros having Celtic origins. Since we do have one sketch by Yana of one twin bringing the Fenian Cycle book to the Undertaker (the most likely candidate for Cedric K. Ros)...
...it might indeed be a partial answer.
There is another possibility though, entirely thought by @dorkshadows, which is that Rachel (and Ann) might have been of Irish origins too.
After all, a common stereotype for Irish people in many stories is red hair and it's hard to forget that it was a very distinctive characteristic of Ann, Rachel's sister !
In fact, one of their first interactions is Vincent telling Ann to be proud of that hair, which we were told she inherited from her dad, the twins' maternal grandfather.
So Vincent might have not just been talking about Ann's hair color in that scene, but more specifically about her taking more pride in her Irish origins. Obviously though, Dalles/Durless aren't very Irish names, but it is possible that their original family name got anglicized into a more traditionally English name.
In any case, Vincent met Rachel and Ann after already knowing their father :
So it's possible that Vincent was, as the Watchdog, investigating Lord Durless as a nobleman with Irish lineage and possible ally of the Fenian Brotherhood. After all, to quote this article, "the Fenians in England and the British Empire were a major threat to political stability". Then Vincent met and fell in love with Rachel, thus deciding to support the Brotherhood instead.
I'd add that Vincent supporting such a cause simply makes sense, considering that the Phantomhive family, too, might have been burdened by the Watchdog's duty generations ago, because of their "different" lineage (full theory here). On top of that, if you add the possibility that Cedric/UT also was of Celtic origins (many decades or centuries ago) and that Vincent knew Claudia's death was Victoria's fault, it only makes sense that he'd eventually politically antagonize the Queen (both for his parents' sake and for Rachel's).
@dorkshadows also pointed out that, to this day, we don't know if the twins' maternal grandfather is alive or dead in canon : he was important enough to be mentioned in Red's flashback but has been missing from the narrative ever since. Timeline-wise, he could be dead, especially since we never saw him in the Blue Memory arc (our!Ciel's flasback), but we never know with Yana (look at Claudia being hinted in panels ever since the circus arc and probably being incredibly relevant), so it's worth keeping in mind.
Then, moving on to ch132 we know that, when the twins were born, Rachel is the one who named them.
Coincidentally (read: it's probably not a coincidence xD), ch132 had the cover with Vincent reading the Fenian Cycle book to the twins and it's also the chapter in which Vicar Rathbone casually says that one twin/both twins (it's deliberately ambiguous in Japanese) have a name that is "rare for England" :
Many fans, myself included, thought that "Ciel" was the name being discussed there, but maybe they were actually talking about our!Ciel's celtic birth name ! To quote @azuresins, in that case that'd basically mean that, in that scene above, "Vincent said to an ENGLISH PRIEST [...] that people of Celtic origin deserved freedom, and to be treated better and that it probably was soon to come".
No wonder that Vicar Rathbone would immediately change the topic lmao ! xD
Vicar Rathbone be like
It is also very meaningful that Rachel decided to give the "Fionn/Fenian/Finnian" name to our!Ciel ("the spare"), as if to emphasize that he was free to make his own path in life, as the second son, unburdened by earldom. Choosing such a meaningful name might even be a parallel to Vincent's own situation with Frances as his spare, since both also have names with a meaning relating to victory and freedom.
Another important detail, as @azuresins already explained here, is that Fenian Cycle is also a tale of revenge and that our!Ciel parallels Fionn big deal, making it all even more relevant. And maybe Yana left other hints in her artworks too...
Finally, historically the Fenian Brotherhood officially got dissolved around 1880 (the twins were 5 years old), but it's always possible that, in Kuroverse, Vincent managed to make it thrive secretly as the Watchdog. The Fenian Brotherhood caused several incidents, including after 1880 (they assassinated a British Chief Secretary in 1882), so it wouldn't be impossible that the Queen eventually found out that Vincent didn't properly take care of them, because he was supporting them.
And when she found out? Well, she branded Vincent a political enemy and we know the rest (the household was massacred in 1885 and the killer most likely received help from real!Ciel, more details in the real!Ciel mastermind theory hehe).
The idea that Vincent ultimately became a political enemy of Victoria because he fell in love with Rachel makes their death...
...even more emotional to me, since Rachel probably died trying to protect Vincent. T_T
TL;DR that's the Fenian Brotherhood theory: because they supported an Irish rebellious group that wanted freedom, Vincent & Rachel were branded political enemies of Victoria and she & JB plotted their deaths, which led in happenstance to the RCMT.
(friendly reminder that the twins are 7, when Vincent asked Dee to look after them should he die)
I hope it was clear ! Thanks for reading. :))

Gwyn = future High Priestess?
This is an out-there theory, one that I’m only mildly attached to. But we’re going to wait a long time for the book, so why not indulge in wild speculation, haha. This was inspired by a headcanon I saw about Gwyn and Az being the reincarnation of High Priestess Oleanna (who dipped Gwydion into the Cauldron and gave it to Fionn to overthrow the Daglan) and Enalius (Illyrian warrior who possibly fought the Daglan at Ramiel; original wielder of TruthTeller). It’s a fun crack theory, but Oleanna got me thinking about High Priestesses. We learned a lot about them in ACOMAF due to Ianthe, but they’ve been a non-entity since ACOFAS.
Let’s review the facts. Spoilers for the entire series under the cut. It’s a long post, sorry!
There were 12 High Priestesses before Ianthe died. I don’t know how succession works or if that’s the maximum number possible. I’m inclined to think 12 total slots because it’s a nice round number. I doubt it’s tied to court lineage since they seem to operate independently (if occasionally collaborating with the High Lords). It’s unclear how they gain the position; we know that Ianthe (Tamlin’s childhood friend and a nobleman’s daughter) was the youngest High Priestess and lived in the Spring Court before Aramantha. She fled to Vallahan during the 50 years of tyranny.
Among the High Fae, the priestesses oversaw their ceremonies and rituals, recorded their histories and legends, and advised their lords and ladies in matters great and trivial… […] … Priestesses could marry, bear children, and dally as they would. It would dishonor the Cauldron’s gift of fertility to lock up their instincts, their inherent female magic in bearing life, Ianthe had once told me. So while the seven High Lords ruled Prythian from thrones, the twelve High Priestesses reigned from the altars, their children as powerful and respected as any lord’s offspring. — Feyre’s thoughts in ACOMAF
We later learn that Rhys dislikes Ianthe (for good reasons). But!! His dislike isn’t limited to her. He has an issue with all High Priestesses.
“I find the High Priestesses to be a perversion of what they once were—once promised to be. Ianthe among the worst of them.”
[…]
“The High Priestesses have burrowed into a few of the courts—Dawn, Day, and Winter, mostly. They’ve entrenched themselves so thoroughly that their spies are everywhere, their followers near-fanatic with devotion. And yet, during those fifty years, they escaped. They remained hidden. I would not be surprised if Ianthe sought to establish a foothold in the Spring Court.”
“You mean to tell me they’re all black-hearted villains?”
“No. Some, yes. Some are compassionate and selfless and wise. But there are some who are merely self-righteous … Though those are the ones that always seem the most dangerous to me.”— Feyre and Rhys in ACOMAF
Notice how Rhys talks about the High Priestesses. A perversion. They’re corrupt — he’s implying that they don’t serve the Mother’s will with good intentions.
The High Priestesses hid and escaped Aramantha’s wrath while the High Lords suffered. Like most organized religions, these High Priestesses seem power-hungry and selfish. It sounds like SJM was inspired by Dune’s Bene Gesserit. Their motivations have changed from the High Priestesses of Oleanna’s time. Rhys’s cynicism was warranted: we later learn that Ianthe was resentful of bowing down to the High Lords, allying herself with Hybern to gain influence.
But!!! Not all of them. Rhys himself says that some are compassionate. I wonder who he’s talking about?
“You speak rather informally of your high priestess.”
“Clotho does not enforce rank. She encourages us to use her name.” — Nesta and Gwyn in ACOSF
While we meet Clotho in ACOWAR, she is NOT referred to as a High Priestess. To be fair, Feyre is briefly introduced to her so she wouldn’t know unless someone said so. In Silver Flames, the High Priestess status is linked to Clotho’s name at least five times in the text. I presume that Clotho was a High Priestess before the attack that led her to live in the Library. The text implies that Clotho — along with Rhys and Mor — is the person who created the sanctuary.
Five days later, Cassian sat before the desk of the library’s high priestess and watched her enchanted pen move. He’d met Clotho a few times over the centuries—found she had a dry, wicked sense of humor and a soothing presence. He’d made a point not to stare at her hands, or at the face he’d only seen once, when Mor had brought her in so long ago. It had been so battered and bloody it hadn’t looked like a face at all. He had no idea how it had healed beneath the hood. If Madja had been able to save it in a way she hadn’t been able to save Clotho’s hands. He it didn’t matter what she looked like, not when she had accomplished and built so much with Rhys and Mor within this library. A sanctuary for females who’d endured such unspeakable horrors that he was always happy to carry out justice on their behalf. — Cassian in ACOSF
IMO, Clotho doesn’t have much communication or power over the High Priestesses or temple governance. They might know she lives in a Night Court Library with many vulnerable priestesses, but they likely don’t know the details or precise location (after all, the existence of Velaris was secret until recently). Clotho seems wholly focused on the Library and not the outside world.
Remember what Rhys said to Feyre?
“Some are compassionate and selfless and wise.”
Rhys is likely talking about Clotho, the anthesis of Ianthe’s character. He has to be. What other High Priestess is Rhys acquainted with where he can make that assessment? By his own account, they stick to Winter, Dawn, and Day. None of them were imprisoned Under the Mountain because they hid, so he wouldn’t have met them there.
Which brings me to this:
“At the Court of Nightmares. I allowed her to visit after she’d begged for years, insisting she wanted to build ties between the Night Court and the priestesses. I’d heard rumors about her nature, but she was young and untried, and I hoped that perhaps a new High Priestess might indeed be the change her order needed. It turned out that she was already well trained by some of her less-benevolent sisters.” — Rhys in ACOMAF
Before Aramantha, Rhys was interested in fostering a connection between the Night Court and the High Priestesses. He hoped that a brand-new High Priestess could change the organization. It didn’t go well. I’m not going to quote the entire passage (Chapter 21 in ACOMAF) because it’s a long flashback, but Ianthe shows up naked in Rhys’s bed, attempting to grab his genitalia without his consent. He doesn’t kill her because he doesn’t want to deal with the High Priestesses, but he uses his power to threaten her.
She’d hounded him relentlessly—stalked the other males, too. Azriel had left last night because of it.
[…]
Rhys leaned close to breathe into her ear, “Don’t ever touch me. Don’t ever touch another male in my court.” His power snapped bones and tendons, and she screamed again. “Your hand will heal,” he said, stepping back. “The next time you touch me or anyone in my lands, you will find that the rest of you will not fare so well.” — Rhys flashback in ACOMAF
We know that Ianthe is a grade-A bitch, for many other reasons I didn’t mention (poor Lucien). But you know what’s interesting about Ianthe now?
Ianthe is DEAD. Unless the High Priestesses appointed someone else to the twelfth position off-page, there are currently ELEVEN High Priestesses in Prythia. One spot is potentially open.
And… I wonder who can possibly take on that role? Someone pure of heart and devoted to the Mother. Someone who would mark a return to what High Priestesses OUGHT to be for the Fae. Someone who already has positive ties to the Night Court. Someone who would encourage Rhys to develop a relationship between the Night Court and the High Priestesses, something he wanted to do centuries ago. Maybe a certain teal-eyed Valkyrie priestess that we met in ACOSF.
Gwyneth Berdara
I know what you’re thinking: but Gwyn is already a Valkyrie and researcher at the Library?! She’s helping train the other priestesses! She might have relevancy in the Illyrian rebellion storyline with Emerie and Az! She doesn’t have the TIME to become a High Priestess!!
To which I say… excellent point, lol. It does seem like a lot of responsibility to shoulder. But I’m uncertain whether the High Priestess position needs to be a 24/7 gig. Clotho is at the Library and seemingly not that concerned with the outside world. To be honest, I’m unsure if the High Priestesses are even in frequent communication with each other post-Ianthe’s death. They might be scrambling with the High Lords back in power and unable to exploit the power vacuum anymore. Remember that Hybern attacked the temples and killed priestesses in order to steal the Cauldron parts; I imagine the High Priestesses are still grieving and recovering from that loss. They might be a perversion, but none outside Ianthe allied with Hybern. The High Priestesses aren’t a lost cause just yet. They simply might need someone (Gwyn) to set their priorities straight and refocus their goals in aiding Prythian and worshiping the Mother.
Clotho is compassionate and wise, but seems uninterested in untangling High Priestess politics. She can’t even control Merrill in her own library. I adore Clotho, but I don’t really see her confronting the other High Priestesses and enacting social reforms. Clotho will support Gwyn, but she won’t be the one to initiate change.
“Only Clotho can really make her fall in line, but Clotho lets her have her way, mostly because Merrill throws those windy tantrums that can send everyone’s manuscripts scattering.”— Gwyn in ACOSF
And honestly, maybe the High Priestess responsibilities are light for Gwyn. Maybe she just chills in the Night Court and oversees ceremonies/holidays for Rhys. That’s basically what Ianthe was doing for Tamlin’s Spring Court in ACOMAF/ACOWAR.
I also think it’s OK for the Valkyries to have other responsibilities. I see Nesta as a diplomat or emissary in other lands and courts. Emerie might take a central role back at home, training and helping Illyrian women. Just because they’re Valkyries first doesn’t erase their other identities.
Gwyn has been training as a priestess for her entire life. She’s experienced discrimination due to her nymph heritage, from Merrill and probably other priestesses in Sangravah. I believe Gwyn can enact real social change within the High Priestesses, advocating for species inclusivity and a return to their original duties (like in Oleanna’s time). No more power-hungry political schemes — the Mother and citizen wellbeing should be their #1 priority.
Aside from her personality, Gwyn is a good candidate for two reasons. First, Gwyn is foreshadowed to have strong magic (she glows while singing!). Gwyn’s voice inspires Nesta to have a vision of the Harp. Maybe Gwyn has fire magic from her Autumn grandfather. Maybe she has abilities from her nymph grandmother. Maybe she’s starborn. The possibilities are endless. The point is, Gwyn is magically powerful enough for the role of High Priestess.
Second, I suspect that she’s related to the Autumn Court and Eris. As a High Priestess, Gwyn would have the trust of two High Lords: Rhys and Eris (let’s assume Beron dies soon, lol). Per Rhys, the High Priestesses have mostly entrenched themselves in Winter, Day, and Dawn. That means Autumn (Eris) and Night (Rhys) currently have no connection to the High Priestesses. Gwyn would bridge that gap.
Assuming that Gwyn is Lucien’s grandniece or some other relation, Gwyn also has ties to the Day Court and Helion. I’m very sure that Gwyn and Helion will be fast friends over their love for pegasi. 😉 Having the ear of three High Lords would cement Gwyn’s status as a High Priestess.
***
Anyway… I wrote all this and now I’m not sure at all. 😅 What do you think about my theory? Too out there or a genuine possibility in the Gwynriel book?

Chapter 21
“One after another, I hunted monsters—the remaining pets of the Daglan—until many of the lowest rooms were filled with them. Until my once-beautiful home became a prison. Until even the land was so disgusted by the evil I’d gathered here that the islands shriveled and the earth became barren. The winged horses who hadn’t gone with my mother to Midgard, who had once flown in the skies, playing in the surf … they were nearly gone. Not a single living soul remained, except for the monstrosities in the mountain.”
So she was the one who contained Koschei and the Weaver, and she was the Bone Carver's salvation.
“I will spare you the details of how I came to wed a High Lord’s son. Of the years before and after he became the High Lord of Night, and I his lady. He wanted me to be High Lady, as the other lords’ mates were, but I refused. I had seen what power had done to my mother, and I wanted none of it.
Yet when my first son was born, when the babe screamed and the sound was full of night, I brought him to the Prison and keyed the wards into his blood. No one knew that the infant who sometimes glowed with starlight had inherited it from me. That it was the light of the evening star. The dusk star.”
Silene 👏🏼 Theia's 👏🏼 Second 👏🏼 Daughter 👏🏼 Is 👏🏼 Rhysand's 👏🏼 Ancestor 👏🏼 Confirmed 👏🏼 his 👏🏼 bloodline 👏🏼 hails 👏🏼 from 👏🏼 High 👏🏼 King 👏🏼 Fionn 👏🏼 of 👏🏼 Prythian
I assumed her name was Nyx (as in the Night Goddess Rhys mentioned) but Silene is also close enough to symbolize night/the moon.
Nesta murmured to Azriel, “Does Rhys … does he know?”
“No,” Azriel replied without an ounce of doubt. “Somewhere along the line … all this was forgotten, and never passed on.”

So when the government finds them, what would they do to them? I imagine the interrogations would go like this.
Government dude: Name?
Julie: Julie Joyful!
Government dude: Age?
Julie: I dunno! Ooo look a butterfly picture!
Government dude:....Okay. Do you have a family?
Julie: I have three sisters! But they're far away.
Government dude: Do you have any parents?
Julie: What are parents? I'm bored! When will Fionn pick us up?
Government dude:...Do you know what's going on here?
Julie: Nope! I want grape lollipops! :D
Government dude: Uh huh....*writing down something* Get her tested for ADHD.
GOD yeah, the puppets would piss off the government officials so much they'd probably just hand them back to Fionn ghfnhgfng
Fionn bursts into the interrogation room, gun in hand, only to find the officials sobbing on the floor from stress as the puppets, all sitting on the same bench, looks at him with a "Hi Fionn!! :D"

~ in the lost myth of true love ~
kappa x reader
summary: you slowly feel as though you're drifting into insanity. your family doesn't understand. you're becoming addicted to the mysterious cult leader, as though you can't even live without him anymore.
warnings: like one swear word, this one's pretty tame (and short 😭)
a/n: because this one's so short, expect a double whammy tonight 🤭
"Sis? You still up?"
"Say no." Kappa whispered with a smirk, his eyes lighting up at the thought of potentially meeting your family so soon.
You jumped a little when you heard another knock on your door, signalling Fionn's growing frustration. Your heart was pounding as you glanced at the door, Kappa's hands keeping you firmly across his legs.
"Don't get up..." Kappa hushed out to you lowly, shifting you further up his lap, burying his face in the crook of your neck. "Stay here..." he ordered, keeping you close.
"Oh and say what? No, i'm asleep?" you snickered, amused by his logic. Kappa shrugged, keeping you in place which made you giggle lowly. "I gotta get up..."
"Just say anything... or I'll do all the talking." he teased, kissing and biting at the exposed skin of your neck.
"Jesus Christ!" Fionn called your name out again, sounding a little more concerned, your parents' voices muffled in the background behind the comfort of your room.
You cursed yourself silently. What the hell were your parents doing up at this hour? You groaned, throwing yourself off Kappa as he crawled up against your headboard, arms behind his head, smirking as he watched you walk over to your door.
You opened the door slightly, enough that Fionn could see you, but not enough to see inside your room. "Hey... you okay?" you faked a yawn, pretending that your brother had woken you up.
"Yeah, sorry." he said with a sympathetic smile. "I was just a little worried about you is all." he said, not looking into your eyes, or at your tired looking appearance, but around your dimly lit room. "I just... wanted to make sure you were okay..."
"No, no, no... don't be sorry... you okay?" your heart was pounding as you spoke, and your breathing was rapid, and you prayed to whatever God there was that Fionn didn't notice.
"I'm fine... just a little jumpy..." Fionn shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "Do you mind if I stay in here with you for a bit?... just... talk with you, I mean?" he asked, attempting to look around your darkened room.
Kappa was growing anxious and frustrated, wanting to tell your brother to leave, but restraining himself.
"How about I come to your room? Until you fall asleep?" you offered weakly as an alternative. The was no fucking way you could let Fionn into your room. "What are they doing up?" you asked, referring to your parents idly chatting downstairs.
"They couldn't sleep either... I'm telling you, something's off here." He said, glancing back into your room, narrowing his eyes when you closed the door to, refusing to let him in.
"You breathed in lightly, changing the subject swiftly. "C'mon, you're just tired? You want a hot drink?" you walked out into the hallway with him, shutting your door firmly behind you, making Kappa frown at your absence.
Fionn nodded, following you down the stairs, but not before eyeing your closed door in curiosity. He sighed, slumping down in one of the chairs at your kitchen counter as you flicked the kettle on.
You could feel his eyes on you, watching you carefully, his eyes trailing over your back. "You know, if there's any reason you couldn't let me in your room, you can tell me, right?" Fionn asked, sounding worried.
You gulped, pouring some hot chamomile tea, sliding the mug over. "Yeah, of course!.. we're twins, you'd know anything I was trying to hide anyway." you joked, hoping he'd play along.
"You're telling me." he chuckled softly, sipping at the soothing drink, glancing back up the stairs. "You got someone in there?" he asked, narrowing his eyes as his suspicion grew further.
Your eyes shot wide, trying to savour yourself. "What?! No! You really think i'd be able to sneak someone in here without nobody hearing nothing?"
You had a valid point, a decent excuse. As you said, your walls were thin, somebody would've heard something.
Fionn studied your face closely, gauging your reactions. "So... if I went in there right now, I wouldn't find anyone?" he asked, setting down his mug on the counter.
"Nope." you said, popping the 'p' for emphasis. You watched as Fionn eyed you intently, clearly not convinced. Under the calm surface, your heart was racing, your blood pumping.
Could this night seriously get any worse?
You maintained eye contact, not wanting to give Fionn another reason to doubt or question you. But he could tell you were hiding something, no matter how much you lied to him.
He stood up abruptly. "Y'know what... I'm gonna go see for myself." he spoke, making his way to your bedroom.
"Go for it!" you spoke confidently, "there's nobody there." you said, though your voice faltered.
He made his way to your room, pushing the door handle to your room, swinging the door open. He paused for a moment, his eyebrows furrowed, not seeing anyone. He took a step further inside, eyes flickering around your empty bedroom.
"See? Now get outta my room, asshole." you teased, ushering him out your door jokingly.
Fionn took a deep breath, looking at you carefully. "Listen..." he spoke seriously, "You know I would never judge you," he said, "I just need to know the truth... do you have someone here?" he pressed again, eyes darting around your room.
You took his hands in yours, shaking your head at your brother. You looked at him right in the eyes - the eyes the same as yours.
You figured that's why it hurt more.
"No..."
He looked around your room again, searching for something - anything, to prove he was right.
"There's nobody here, Fionn... you've seen for yourself." you added lowly, silently pleading with your twin to just drop it.
Fionn smiled weakly, nodding reluctantly as he chose to believe you, whether he actually did or not, you didn't know.
"Alright. Just... be careful, yeah?" he spoke quietly, making you nod, eagerly ushering him out so you could close your door.
Once you'd heard his footsteps walk away from your door, and the closing of his door, you exhaled a deep sigh of relief. You walked into your room further, searching for any signs of Kappa.
"Kappa?" you whispered, giggling when you saw him appear from a small crevice in the corner of your room, near a large cabinet of books.
He smirked at you, settling down again on your bed, petting the spot beside him, encouraging you to join him. You bounced over eagerly, settling back into his lap making him smile up at you with bright eyes.
"I got kinda worried there for a minute." Kappa grinned teasingly.
"What? That my brother would be concerned that I've got a cult leader in my bedroom?" you joked, "No, nothing to be worried about at all." you said sarcastically with a cheeky grin.
"You make me sound so scary, sugar..." he bit back playfully, running his cool hands up and down your sides, the cold silver of his rings making you shiver. "You know I'd never hurt you..." he murmured seriously, nipping at your shoulder.
You hummed, nodding timidly, knowing Kappa couldn't hurt you, even if he wanted to.
"Would you ever hurt anyone in the cult?" you asked, tucking a stray brown strand away from his face. "Even though they're your family?"
Kappa hummed, knowing your words rang true. The cult was 'family', as they had become, and what they were known by.
And you wanted to be a part of it.
He kissed you gingerly on your forehead, the taste of you under his lips was driving him crazy.
"Of course not.." Kappa laughed, tracing invisible patterns on your waist and hipbone with rough fingertips. "I love them all dearly." he spoke, eyelids fluttering softly as he looked up at you. "The only thing I love more, sugar, is you..."
You smiled, pressing a brief and soft kiss to his lips.
You adored the way Kappa spoke about the family. He was their great leader. To them, he was God - they admired him, and in return he offered equality and respect.
"Don't let Theta hear you say that." you teased, kissing and nipping at his bare shoulders, holding him close by the red necklace at his throat.
Kappa snickered, a smirk toying on his lips. "They worship me as God..." he spoke intensely, looking at you with such devotion and passion it had your stomach flipping.
Your heart fluttered in your stomach as he spoke, knowing the realistic truth to his words. He pulled you closer, wanting so desperately to connect his lips with yours, your nimble hands in his hair as he kissed deeper.
Kappa held onto you tight, not wanting to leave. His ran his hand over your chest, your waist and resting on your hips. He rested his forehead against yours in an unusually sweet and wholesome gesture. "Don't ever leave me... you can't." he whispered.
"Never... I couldn't..." you hushed out, your face heating up at his words.
He held you and looked at you like you were the only thing that mattered. He adored you like Hades loved Persephone, like Orpheus doted on Eurydice.
He was God... and you were the divine intervention.

There was a theory that Gwyn will be connected with the sword Gwydion (a theory that was made BEFORE hofas). We know that Az has Enalius's dagger. And it was revealed that Enalius has a connection with Fionn - there is a whole post about Gwyn and Fionn's names and similarities.
So if Az has the dagger and if Gwyn is somehow connected with Gwydion. . .
I can proudly say that math is mathing.🫡
Hey Anon, Yes!!! this was one of the things I thought possible as I read HOFAS .... Fionn and Enalius were close friends infact Fionn kept TT by his side after Enalius died and that's how Theia got both the weapons after she killed him.
The way the 2 weapons react to each other they are opposites yet seem attracted , wanted to stay close and connected... the two weapons ultimately belonging to a pair of mates would be poetic especially if it is Gwyn and Az
Gwydion has Holy power while TT dark power..
Gwydion was given its power when Priestess Oleana dipped it in the Cauldron so if I were to guess as a priestess she would have channelled the mother's power, hence the holy saviours light of Gwydion... Its power was HOLY...
TT on the other hand is Asteri made ... Clearly Az doesn't know how to use its magic but we do know it has a dark power to it ... and most likely it was Asteris magic that was used in addition to the Cauldrons for it ... So its power was UNHOLY
So as you can see the whole Holy /unholy and Light /Dark element.... which is literally Gwynriels Aesthetic would seem very plausible .... and the math would certainly math if Nesta decides to give Gwydion to Gwyn or it calls to Gwyn.
Alternatively, it is also possible Az will own both Gwydion and TT .... but it would be more exciting for the weapons to belong to a pair of mates ... who knows maybe Fionn and Enalius were more than friends maybe they were mates ? So it's certainly a possibility.
