i do find it funny how in trying to make ein's writing less weird they made zack a less interesting character
#ein and aph being siblings is a Good Plot Point actually#because it shows zacks hypocrisy#and removing that sort of . makes zack a little more bland#his favoritism towards aph is what makes him turn to her side#and his insistence that ein is evil and a monster makes Less Sense if he hadnt known ein his whole life#it makes his hatred of ein a little more relevant too. like you can extrapolate the hatred he has for ein is a subconscious hatred -#- of himself. he obviously cares a lot for aphmau and the divorce kept them separate. if he never had ein. if he never broke sylvanna's -#- trust he would be able to be the father he wanted. but his own greed would catch up to him. he wants money and power. which are things -#- ein wanted too. but because zack couldnt admit to himself that he was selfish and uncaring he had to demonize his son for those wants.#it takes both of his children dying for his hypocrisy to catch up to him. “either they both matter. or they don't.”#zack chose his daughter and michael knew exactly how to make it sting more. compare her to the son he hated. the son who would never be -#- what zack had wanted. “you made your choice with ein and I just balanced it out”.#sorry baout the ramble im feeling a team emerald lore mood this morning hey.

Anything Else: Lucy has been in Africa working at the Namboze Clinic, but recently decided to quit after some missteps. She has just recently returned to Seattle to resume her fetal surgery fellowship.
BIO
Lucy grew up in Massachusetts to a moderately wealthy family. Her father, Arthur, was a lawyer and her mother, Anna, was a real estate agent. The beginning of her childhood was pretty happy. Average. Her older brother Christian and her fought a lot, which made them unruly children in their home.
When Lucy was 9, her mother became pregnant with her third child. Lucy was very excited to have a younger sibling, especially when they found out it would be a girl. Lucy longed to be an older sister so she would have someone to boss around (and also hopefully someone to idolize her). The pregnancy really brought the family together. That was, until, there were complications.
TW: infant loss, death
Around the seventh month of Anna’s pregnancy, she went into labor. Anna had an antepartum hemorrhage and became bleeding. Lucy was there with her brother when she was rushed to the hospital. There were complications during surgery, things Lucy didn’t understand at the time. Their father had rushed to the hospital from work, only in time to be told they hadn’t been able to revive Anna. APH had resulted in fetal hypoxia, and the baby was also unable to be saved. They mourned the loss of both, naming their lost daughter/sister Hazel.
Things really changed for their family following Anna and Hazel’s deaths. Arthur became much colder towards his children than he ever had before. He was extremely hard on Christian and Lucy, and it caused rifts in their relationships. Lucy even went away to a private high school to attempt to escape from it. The only person from her family she remained extremely close to was Christian. Lucy loved her brother, and what they experienced as children really helped to bring them closer together.
When Lucy decided she wanted to go into medicine, her mother was a large influence. She thought her father would be proud, but he was disappointed that she had not chosen the path he thought would be most suitable. Arthur preferred Lucy pressure a career in law, much like he did. Apparently, being a doctor wasn’t what he wanted and, therefore, it just wasn’t good enough.
Lucy attended Harvard Medical School and the went on to Duke to complete her residency. Her focus was in OB/GYN and fetal surgery. When the time came to choose a fellowship, she was wowed by the offerings of Seattle Grace Mercy West, specifically that Addison Montgomery (the doctor she wanted to model her career after) had previously worked there.
A little while into her fellowship, Lucy met Alex Karev. Lucy absolutely hated Alex at first. He had been wildly offensive and rude upon their first conversation. However, over time, he grew on her. She saw a softer side of him, and realized that some of the tougher parts of him acted as a defense mechanism. She began to engage in a relationship with him. Around the same time, Callie Torres got into her car accident, and Lucy failed to adequately help her and Sofia. It was a huge blow to Lucy’s confidence. She felt so embarrassed by admitting she was in over her head.
This influenced Lucy to start applying to other hospitals and seeing what was out there. She applied to Baylor and was upset when Alex didn’t ask her to stay. When she found out Alex was interested in the job in Africa, she didn’t even consider that it would be something she was interested in. However, as Alex spoke about it, she realized he was not setting aside opportunities. He was putting them first, ahead of their relationship. So, Lucy applied for the job and eded up stealing it out from underneath Alex. She regretted it almost immediately, seeing the hurt on his face, but it was too late. The opportunity was still great, and she had to go.
After a fem months away running the Namboze Clinic in Malawi, Lucy made the decision to return to Seattle to finish her fellowship. While in Africa, she didn’t fully feel present. It was as if she knew she had just been running away from the things that scared her. Her relationship. Her failures. Now back in Seattle, she had the very best teachers to learn from. However, she knew it would be difficult learning to navigate the hospital with how she left things with Alex and the other doctors at SGMW.

Mint Chocolate Chip
Tw: sneaking out at night(?)
Characters: Emil Steilsson/Aph Iceland, Leon Wang/Aph Hong Kong
Date: 8/8/2019
Summary: Hong Kong has an important question to ask of Iceland, although he might not be great about picking a time…
Emil was sleeping quietly, being peaceful and enjoying the night and his dream. It hadn't been too hard to fall asleep that night, his bed was warm and the room was cool. He had been expecting to rest well tonight.
And he would have. If not for a growing scratch-scratch-scratch on the other side of his wall.
It pulled Emil out of his dream slowly, and he stared half-awake at the ceiling for a good minute before he realized that something was insistently trying to climb his wall.
What on earth… He wondered, lifting the covers, who the hell is trying to climb a two story house…?
Emil pushed himself up and out of bed, and crept over to the window. There weren’t often burglaries in this neighborhood, and a good thief should know where the bedrooms are.
He quickly undid the latch, and pushed the glass to the side. Out in the dark summer night, nothing moved. The tree between his neighbors yard and his rustled quietly. Emil slid the screen aside. There weren’t any cars moving on the street…
Down below his window in the shadow of the ledge, a rock thumped.
“Who’s there?” Emil whisper-shouted, lowering himself down against the sill.
“Emil!” The tree responded.
Emil felt his expression fall flat. He tilted his head up towards the longest branch.
“Leon, can’t you climb any quieter? You’re gonna wake up Matt and Luka.”
Some branches swayed as the dark spot between them shrugged, “It’s not like you were gonna answer your phone.”
“Because its…” Emil checked the time, “Wha- it’s four A.M! What do you even want?”
Leon edged a little further out of the leaves, “Come get ice cream with me!”
Emil frowned, “Why now? Can’t you wait until a reasonable hour?”
He could spy the outline of Leon shaking his head, “No, it… has to be right now.”
“Why?”
“Reasons.”
Emil sighed. He was tired, and he had hockey practice later tomorrow… But…
“Alright. Fine. Let me change and i’ll come out. Don't make any noise.”
Leon gave him a salute.
In theory, it wasn’t too odd for Leon to be here. He lived a few houses down, at the end of the block, and he came over regularly. He had been, ever since elementary. Then, in highschool, they went to the same campus, and Emil always had Leon in at least one class. They sat together for lunch sometimes. And then, after the day was over, they took the same train home, and did homework at each other's houses.
But this was the first time he’d randomly decided to come over at four in the morning.
Leon was still waiting silently when Emil came to the window again, and carefully brought his foot up to crouch on the sill. Leon backed down toward the trunk to make space for Emil to leap.
See, the issue with this tree was that you could climb out of it, but not into it.
The tree’s branches shook loudly as Emil jumped into them- and missed the sturdiest branch. He slipped on the lighter ones, grabbing the leaves above him for support. Trying to control his momentum with a sleepy, panicked brain, Emil stumbled down into Leon. Leon grabbed and pulled him to his chest while they waited out the noise.
Emil’s breath caught in his throat when he saw a light click on, but a few long minutes passed and no one came out. It clicked off again.
“Whew… Probably just Lukas listening for anything else.” He sighed.
Leon loosened his arm a little bit, “what was that you told me about being quiet?”
Emil lightly jabbed him in the chest with his elbow, “you didn’t just get woken up by an idiot climbing up the side of your house at four A.M.”
“I was climbing the tree!”
“Didn’t sound like it.”
Emil turned around in Leon’s hold to shuffle his way down. He didn’t fail to notice the way Leon held onto the back of his sweater until he was sure Emil was stable.
Once they were both safe and on the ground, Emil walked his bicycle over from the side of the house to the sidewalk next to Leon’s.
“Alright.” He yawned, “Which ice cream place?”
Leon smiled at him- a soft, thoughtful one he didn’t give often. Emil blinked, caught off guard.
“Perfect Puffin ice cream place.” Leon said.
Emil felt the blush rise in his cheeks, “What?! Thats- Thats expensive!”
Leon laughed, boarding his bike, “Yeah I know. I saved up a good amount of money though, and I finally have enough!”
Emil pushed off and followed him through the quiet nighttime streets. He didn’t know what to say, so he ducked down and pedaled on. The half-moon lit a path down the road.
The Perfect Puffin was Emil’s all-time favorite restaurant. Even if it… technically wasn’t one. For adults with full-time jobs, the price was just a minor inconvenience. For teenagers with summer jobs and school… it wasn’t easy to afford. At all. Most of them were lucky to have 25 dollars on them at one time.
Leon worked at a gamestop. A poor gamestop. He usually used his money for buying games or food. He rarely had any to spare. The only other place he could have gotten it would have been… His father? Arthur didn’t lend money easily but he would if his kids needed it… Maybe his dad? Leon didn’t get along amazingly well with his birth father, and he always made him do chores for money. It wasn’t anything hard, but after working, Leon was more likely to sleep than vacuum five rooms and wash dishes.
If he’d saved it up, that would have meant that Leon had been saving for… quite some time…
Emil steadied his bike after he went over a rock. Leon’s head turned back minimally to look.
God… Why does he have to be… himself. Emil thought frustratedly. The burn in his cheeks hadn’t gone down.
They peddled on silently. They turned out of the neighborhood and onto the main road, and Emil let Leon pull in front as they ran up onto the sidewalk. Technically, riding your bike on the sidewalk was illegal where they lived.
But so was jaywalking. And being out past curfew.
The Perfect Puffin wasn’t too far away, luckily. Emil and Leon parked their bikes out front, hooking them up to the rack. Leon held the door open (which was only fair,) and Emil rolled his eyes as he went inside.
It had been… quite awhile since he’d came in here.
The whole parlor was white with stripes of pink and brown- to imitate a neapolitan sandwich-type color scheme. All over the walls were pictures of the owners and a few donors in Iceland, where the chain originated in.
Why such a nice place was open 24 hours, Emil couldn’t tell you.
The tired sales woman at the counter perked up a little as they came in.
“Hi, welcome to the Perfect Puffin…What would you like?”
Leon nodded to Emil, “You pick first.”
Emil took a long hard stare at the different flavors. His tired mind took a long moment before registering what he was looking for. “Uhhhhhhhhh… Okay, can I get a mint chocolate chip please?”
The lady behind the counter nodded in an equally sleepily manner, and ducked down to get it for him.
Leon peered outside.
“Hey, Emil.” He bumped their shoulders, “Wanna eat out there?”
Emil glanced outside. The outdoor seating area was small, but it was oddly serene for a place that should be shady, and it overlooked the garden of a temple nearby. Emil nodded, leaning lightly on Leon’s arm.
“You okay?” Leon asked.
Emil nodded again, “Yeah… I'm just tired.”
Leon didn't say anything for once. There was a good chance he was tired too. Emil wasn’t really sure what he’d been doing that day… Piano lessons? Soccer? Looking up at him, Emil noticed that his cheeks were a pale shade of pink.
Huh.
The lady gave them their ice cream and they thanked her, wandering outside.
The half-moon was still bright.
“So…” Emil said, after a few bites, (it was amazing,) “gonna tell me why you wanted to get ice cream from a pretty expensive place at four am?”
Leon shrugged, “I… I just felt like it.”
Emil narrowed his eyes, “Bullshit.”
“What?” Leon looked mildly surprised.
“What do you mean ‘what?’, you’re acting weird.”
Leon looked back at the garden- probably an excuse to look away from Emil, “...No i’m not.”
“Leo.”
Leon was quiet for a moment longer. He looked like he was thinking, so Emil opted to eat more ice cream while he waited.
“...You’re my best friend, Emil.” He finally said.
Emil looked at him in confusion again, “What?
It was dark, but by the light of the moon Emil could make out the details of Leon’s expression. He looked… Sad? Conflicted?
“I… Just wanted to make sure you knew that. That I… care about you a lot. Even if I get on your nerves all the time.”
Emil just stared at him wide-eyed, “Leo…”
Leon didn’t respond. He looked flustered.
Emil sighed, “Leon I… I don’t hate you. You only annoy me on the surface, I'm never actually truly angry with you. I… honestly I don’t think I ever could be.”
Plus, how can you expect me to be any sort of angry after getting me ice cream? Emil thought sarcastically.
Leon blinked at him, “Never? Not even when I wake you up and night or bother you for food?”
Emil smirked, “No, Leo. I… I really care about you too.”
Leon kept staring at him. Attentively. It was starting to creep him out.
“...How much?”
“What?”
Leon tilted his head, “how much?”
Emil ate more ice cream as an excuse to stall.
“...More than you think.”
Leon was analyzing him now, “and what do you think I see you as?”
Emil snorted, but he could feel his face getting red again, “You said I was your ‘best friend’ just now. I’m guessing its that.”
“Only that?”
Emil looked him dead in the eyes. Leon was blushing a little.
“Why do you want to know?” Emil asked tentatively.
Leon blinked hard again, like he was suddenly coming to his senses, “Uh- no reason. Just asking.” He turned away again.
Emil raised an eyebrow, “You don’t really expect me to believe you on that, do you?”
Leon looked like he was going to try to change the subject again, before giving in and smiling bashfully, “Would you?”
“Haha. No.”
Leon looked at the garden again. A huge black cat was sitting on a pillar.
“...Leo?”
“I- jeez, I don’t know how to say this. Um…” His shoulders were all tensed up.
“Say what?” Emil pushed. I swear if this idiot has some heartbreaking news…
“...Can you stand up real fast?” Leon asked.
Emil gave him a flat, confused look, “What?”
“Just do it.”
Emil set his ice cream on the table between them, and pushed himself up.
Leon stood across from him for a moment, just staring again. Emil just noticed that his eyes looked a little more watery than usual, before he stepped forward without warning and hugged Emil tightly around the waist.
“Wha-!?“
“I love you, Emil.”
Emil froze. Oh…
“I… You- what?”
Oh my god…
Leon kept his face buried in Emil’s shoulder, “I said that I love you. If you don’t feel the same thats okay- I don’t mi-“
“Shut up.” Emil said, hugging him back, “Stop talking. I… I love you too, idiot.”
“Really!?”
“I- yeah…” Emil nodded, “yeah.”
Leon pulled back to look at him. A few tears rolled down his cheeks.
Emil shook his head, “why are crying?”
Leon laughed, “because i’m happy, stupid.”
Emil smilled, and went to wipe away his tears, “of course.”
“Are you okay?” Leon asked, holding on to Emil’s arms.
Emil laughed, “Yeah. You really caught me off guard- It’s four in the morning, its too early for emotions.”
“You’re really really red.”
“Ah- Dammit.” Emil tried to cover his face. Leon pulled his arms back down.
“No don’t do that! It’s cute!”
Emil felt himself get even redder, “No!”
Leon slid his hands down to Emil’s wrists, and lifted arms above his head, “Yes!”
Caught in the open with nowhere to hide, Emil buried his face in Leon’s chest.
“You asshole...” Emil complained.
Leon gave him his hands back and hugged him again, “I love you too~”
When the sun rose the next morning, Emil slept through it. He slept through breakfast. He would have stayed peacefully asleep, if someone didn’t go knocking on his door around lunch.
“Emiiiiil!” Matthias called through the door, “come eat something!”
Lukas gave Emil a sly look as he stumbled bleary-eyed into the kitchen.
“Didn’t sleep well last night, did you?”
Emil paused, “Uhhhhhhh-“
“Where’d ya go?” Matthias asked.
“You knew!?”
Lukas snorted, reaching for a cupboard, “Mr. Romeo down the road there can’t climb for shit. Neither can you.”
Emil rolled his eyes and punched Lukas in the arm, “It was late, we get an excuse. Why didn’t you stop us? I know you woke up.”
Matthias grinned, “Cause Luka wants his bet money!”
“His what.”
Lukas walked around the kitchen table to set down plates, “I don't know what you’re talking about.”
“Aww!”
Emil turned his face away from them. They’d find out eventually, it might even be fun to see how long they could go…
Emil smirked to himself, and made a mental note to text Leon later.
...A mental note to text his boyfriend later…!

Diji si (con @InTheHandsOfFate, @TemptsYourTaste, and @HowsMyHairLook)
Memphis (@InTheHandsOfFate):
|Looking up at the attendant, I was quick to hand over our cash to pay for entry. We both had been looking forward to this day for weeks and with the warmer weather, I had made the decision that today was the day for an outing. It wasn't long ago that @AFuerteRosa had announced we were expecting and that she was carrying our child. The fact that we were going to be having a little girl wasn't lost on me either and with each passing day, the excitement simply grew. Leaps and bounds, as they say. The days of nesting were still in full swing but some fresh air and those animals @AFuerteRosa loved so much, were a small order, I didn't mind filling. Placing my hand at the small of her back, I escorted her inside and chuckled, seeing that glow across her features even in the sunbeams of the afternoon, kissing her skin the way it did, I couldn't help but feel like the luckiest man alive.| So which is first, the red pandas or elephants? What does my Cara Mia want to see, hm?
Lita:
•I was practically vibrating with excitement as @InTheHandsOfFate paid our way into the zoo. It had been forever since I had been here. And the fact that he suggested it, knowing my passion for all things animal, made me smile every time I thought of it. As soon as we stepped through the entrance, I paused to close my eyes and relish the warmth of the sun on my face before opening my eyes and turning to look at you• Red pandas! •nods matter of factly before reaching for your hand and pulling you immediately in the direction the sign was pointing•
Memphis:
|Chuckles once more when you start pulling me down the ramp, loving the excitement that seemed to radiate from you and I let you lead the way. Passing by each sign for the exhibits until we saw the next tour guide, listening as she starts to go through the specifics of how important it was to not feed them and I wrap my arms around you from behind when you step up to get a closer look.| They really are your favorite aren't they?
Lita:
•my pace picking up as soon as their exhibit comes into view, and finding myself a spot right up against the fence as I go up on my toes, eyes scanning the trees until one of those fluffy tails catches my attention causing me to let out a little squeal• Mira! •points to the tree just in time for a cute furry face to pop out too, laughing excitedly• See him? •leans back into you as I look up at you over my shoulder• They are. •brings my eyes back to him• My absolute favorite.
Memphis:
I see him. |Laughing, I run my hand over your bump, feeling a small flutter against my hand and I can't help but grin at that. Knowing how excited you were, I let you continue to get lost in the sight of the red pandas a little longer before pressing a kiss to your shoulder, urging us on to the next one.| If you get this excited about coming up here, we will make it a regular thing, Cara Mia. |Hearing that squeal again, I see elephants come into view and stop to see the baby ones with you.|
Lita:
•takes one last look over my shoulder at the pandas before moving on with you• We should! •brings my hand to my bump• I want her to see them too. We need to bring her here as... •stops mid sentence to let out another squeal of delight when my eyes land on a baby elephant• Que lindo, amor! •laughs at the way it swings its trunk to entertain itself before turning to whisper in your ear• I want one of those too.
Memphis:
Every chance we get. |Finishing that sentence, I grin wider and watch the baby elephants with you. Laughing hard when the list of animals you want on the property continues to get longer and I give your hand a small squeeze when you whisper.| I think it's safe to say you want if we could by the zoo, we would. I will do my best though to give you every desire of your heart. That's my plan anyway. |winks when I see that blush creep up and I gesture to the sign, seeing the giraffes were coming up next.|
Lita:
•laughs at the way you pulled out that smooth way of telling me no again• You are so good, mi amor. I’m not even pouty that you won’t let me own the zoo when you say things like that. •laughs again as I come to a stop in front of the giraffe pen, humming in admiration at their height before flicking my eyes over to the cart selling food for them• Let’s do it! •points to the cart• Por favor?
Memphis:
|Pulls the cash out of my pocket and hands it to you, watching you go with a grin.| Si, you can feed them. |Seeing you smile so bright, how could I say no to that face? Walking up beside you, I held out my hand for a few, chuckling when you shake your head at me and laugh.| Oh, out of the pail? |Laughing with you, I took great enjoyment watching you feed them. Opting to keep my hands on your hips instead while you did when I changed my mind.| How about we grab some lunch ourselves, Cara Mia? Are you hungry? I think I heard they have a special food court today. I could go for some. |Looking up to see the Giraffes moving down the fence line, I gather up the pail from you and hand it back, taking up your hand next to lead you.| I promised you dessert too. That pretzel still calling your name? |chuckles, passing by the kola bears with you, pausing long enough for you to take them all in, before we made the last bit of track to the food court. Leaving the lions for last.|
Lita:
•that big purple tongue coming out of the giraffe’s mouth has me laughing as I cringe away briefly until I finally get used to it• Que hermoso. •tentatively reaches out to touch its nose, but jerking it away again when it pulls its head back• Lo siento, amor. •sighs happily as we walk around, the mention of food causing my stomach to growl• Special? What kind of special?
Memphis:
Just different ones. Several trucks in fact. |Giving your hand another gentle squeeze, I take the path that leads us out to the food court, by passing several of the different vendors the zoo had there today, only to grin wide when I see @TemptsYourTaste and his truck, front and center.| Smells amazing, my friend. |Calls out ahead to @TemptsYourTaste, seeing that bounce in your step when I do.| Get whatever you're craving and double it, Cara Mia. |Presses a soft kiss to your cheek before watching you go up ahead in the line.|
Lita:
•the second I smelled @TemptsYourTaste truck, I knew exactly what both me and the jalapeño wanted. If I weren’t so focused on the smell of tacos, I would have laughed at my laser focus as I kept my eye on the truck when you placed that kiss to my cheek before stepping into line•
Beau (@TemptsYourTaste):
°eyes the absolutely ravishing and expectant mama as she hits up my truck - a wise decision° Well, well, what do we have here besides a refreshing drink of sangria and that to-die-for pinup 'do? Tell me, what are you and the little one craving?
Memphis:
The only thing I can tell you for sure is we would like two lemonades. |Chuckles while we both look over the menu on the side of the truck, knowing my mouth was already watering and I nudge @AFuerteRosa arm gently, whispering against her ear| Go on, don't be shy. Anything you want, Cara Mia. The sky is the limit. |Giving you a wink, I watched as you stood there, thinking it over as you rubbed over our little nina. Moving to check out what desserts @TemptsYourTaste might have.|
Lita:
•goes up on my toes and eyes the grill with the corn and without even looking at the menu blurts out• Elote. •laughs at myself, bringing my eyes to @TemptYourTaste’s face, flushing slightly at both my outburst and the compliments• Gracias, hermoso. •smiles brightly• Pero...I definitely want elote. •nods• And the chicken pineapple tacos. Y...guacamole? •leans to look at your salsa selection• Oh, and salsa verde. •glances down at my hand on my belly as if to apologize for my demanding appetite, tacking on another• Por favor?
Beau:
°flashes a dazzling smile, the Aph in me breaking through like the diva she is° Your taste is fabulous, you will not be disappointed. °eyes your man° Ladies first and then I'll get you, guapo. °winks and gets to it, pouring you both some fresh squeezed and setting it outbefore dressing the roasted corn in an Elote fit for the queen of England, because who cares if it's her thing. Seeing to the rest of the order, serving it up and dishing it out.° A moment on the lips but it won't hit those hips. Promise. °slides the items your way° It's a good thing you've got some man candy to help you out. We haven't even got to your happy ending yet! °holds a hand to the side of my mouth, whispering° That's dessert.
Memphis:
|And there it was. I had been lost in my own thoughts, watching @AFuerteRosa tell her order to @TemptsYourTaste and chuckled when I saw her give him that apologetic look. It was right then, right there, in that moment that I knew it couldn't be anymore perfect. Here was this woman, the future mother of my children and as she laughed, that quiet laugh of hers, I pulled the small box that had arrived in the mail from @MindYourPanties from my pocket and brushed my thumb over it. The last time I had looked inside was when it had been presented to me, my heart swelling in my chest at the thought of you wearing it and I found myself going down on one knee. In front of everyone at the zoo and @TemptsYourTaste too. I only saw her though. And so with that thought in mind, I called out to @AFuerteRosa and waited for her to turn around before I spilled my guts.| @AFuerteRosa I know what you're going to say but it's important that you hear me when I say this to you because Cara Mia, I am only doing this once... Marry me and be happy with our little jalapenos in tow? When I found you, I was running towards my fate, knowing somehow it was going to be okay. You captivated me first thing, Carlita baby. That would have happened regardless of the bond. And when my brain did catch up my hands shot to my mouth, nearly knocking the lemonade off the counter when I do so. Memphis:
This sounds like a plan forming. We will definitely be in touch. |Taking @AFuerteRosa's hand, I kiss over the ring and give her a wink, seeing her on cloud nine as it were and we take the cupcake to go. Making sure to get the rest of her order before it was time to leave for for the evening. The day had been a success in my book and I couldn't wait for us to get home to celebrate properly. Soon, @AFuerteRosa was going to be Mrs. Carlita Stone and I couldn't be happier about that.|

Prompt (No.15): “Shhh, they’ll hear us.”
APH America x Reader
Human AU
AttendingGilbert’s farewell party was a secret, at least in Alfred’s and Y/N’s case. Itwas Alfred’s idea to tell Gilbert that he could not go. Well, it was the firstthing he said.
Y/Nhad been friends with Gilbert for so long – longer than his friendship with thethree other males. He was the big brother in their neighborhood Y/N alwaysimagined to have. Y/N learned she had a big brother who did not make it afterthree years of trying to survive from a health complication. She then, fouryears younger, became her parents’ alive eldest. If her big brother was stillalive, he would have the same age as Gilbert. And so she was always with him,and even befriended his friends. Now she had three older brothers and one sameage friend.
WhenGilbert excitedly announced in one of their weekly gathering in Francis’ bakerythat he would travel around the world for his professional travel blog, heinstantly realized through his friends’ sad eyes the consequence of going away. They cried. Gilbert only felt relieved when his friends assured him he did nothave to choose between his dream career and friends. “We’re all friends nomatter where we are.” And so they set a farewell and good luck party forGilbert that night in his house.
ButAlfred was still pouting. “I won’t go.” Having like three older brothers withthe same interests as him, and the one he thought closest to going away, was abig deal for Alfred. Whenever his brother Francis would not allow him to dosomething stupid, Gilbert would always be there to rescue and spoil him.
Y/Nwas quiet. She wanted to support the big brother she looked up to and did notwant to beg him like a puppy to stay. She only voiced out a gasp when Alfred grabbedher hand and led her away from their friends.
Noneof the three big brothers stopped the two. They did not run or call after themas they understood it through the pain of their younger selves had they had anolder brother.
Reachingthe nearest playground that was occupied by few neighborhood children, Y/N andAlfred only stood and leaned on some trees by the side – the only quiet enoughspace to think and talk.
Catchingher breath, Y/N was finally able to speak. “Why won’t you go?”
“Will you?” Alfred asked her. His mixed emotions are visible in hiscrouch.
Lookingat Alfred’s dismayed expression, Y/N took time to take a deep inhale and exhalebefore facing Alfred, her same age friend. She had really known him only a fewmonths after she followed her big brother Gilbert around school when he was youngerand still a student. And only then she spoke with the self-proclaimed hero inher class, who turned out to be the younger brother of Gilbert’s friend Francis. She looked at him, and fixed his glasses that might fall with a careless move. Sheput her hand on his back, the other on his shoulder, to straighten his stance. “Al…I’m sad, too. And I don’t know when we will see Gil again. So why don’t we justenjoy the times we can spend together with him?”
Alfredwas staring at her. “You’re right. I was just not prepared a while ago, but nowI am! I just can’t believe my sidekick will go away!” He clenched his hands andpositioned them at his hips as he loudly laughed – his trademark pose thatannoyed some of their classmates, and even Y/N, too, when she was not close tohim yet. “So, how do we surprise him?”
“Huh?”Y/N asked curiously. She knew he was still sad, but at least he had calmeddown.
“Weran away after I said I won’t go haha now how do we go back with a surprise?”
“Youdragged me along with you. Now I have the same problem. Great.” Y/N rolled hereyes. Though she knew it was not really a problem, but she thought it wouldhave been better had they not ran away.
“Ihave an idea!”
And Y/N knew it was definitely not the best idea one could think of. Butjust like every time Alfred would think and do something, it still usuallyturned out fine. And Y/N was amazed at that. Though she kept it a secret to notslap Alfred how cool he was. And to not give anyone the slightest hint that shewas always looking at Alfred, looking for him, smiling a little too muchbecause of him. A secret kept even to her big brother Gilbert.
Hidingbehind walls and bushes in Gilbert’s yard, Y/N looked at the black shirt with abright pink UFO design she was holding. It was Alfred’s. She had one with thesame design from Alfred. It was a matching shirt. Though Y/N wore it almostnever. She thought of framing it, though. Alfred’s idea was to give Gilbert oneof his favorite shirts so it could travel with him around the world. Now sherealized she was a fool for too much treasuring the one he gave her, afraid thatthe quite awful design Alfred picked would fade. And it seemed easy for him togive away his. Y/N sobbed and brought the shirt closer to her face.
“Shhh, they’ll hear us.” Alfred whispered at her. Looking at her holding his shirt hewould give to Gilbert, he was not sure exactly what to feel. He knew he wassad, but not how sad he was. He thought that Y/N never liked that shirt, butnow she was almost kissing it. He knew she would only like it if it was Gilbert’s.Not that it was the reason he chose it to give him. He sighed silently andlooked at the window. He could see the three, each holding a glass of beer. Theylooked happy as they were nostalgic talking about their school days, successfulpranks, and awesomeness like old retired men.
Alfredand Y/N who were hooked by their conversation seemed to forget they were stilloutside and could not think of an awesomeentrance. But they must focus on thinking of a way. After all, they did notneed to press their ears to the windows or walls to hear the story of the livesof the three men almost shouting their memories and laughter.
“How‘bout that time you didn’t lend Al money to buy that shirt he always wears?” Gilbertlaughed and almost choked on his beer.
Asif the walls were not a barrier, the two were suddenly focused oneavesdropping. Especially Alfred who was getting nervous.
“Iwould have paid for him if he only chose a decent design! That kid never knewanything about good fashion. Imagine making Y/N wear that awful shirt just tomatch him? But you did lend him some cash and oh, he didn’t even considerlooking at other designs!” Francis looked dramatic as he defended himself.
Gilbertlaughed. “C’mon. The big kid’s in love he didn’t have time to choose at otherhundreds of designs!”
“Eh?Alfie is in love with Y/N?” Antonio looked surprised. “I thought Y/N is in lovewith Alfie?”
Histwo friends squinted their eyes at him for his way of asking questions. But theyfocused on another angle. “Y/N likes Alfred?!”
“Ican’t believe Tony noticed something about love that escaped my senses.”Francis looked defeated.
“Ionce sent her a prank link about lovemeter I made myself. She wrote her nameand Alfred’s, and she didn’t know her answers will just be sent back to mye-mail.” Antonio grinned.
“Andyou didn’t tell us?” Gilbert looked confused.
“You never asked me and I always forgot.” Antonio laughed heartily.
Meanwhile, the two who thought of a surprise entrance were surprised. They were both justlooking at the window watching the three friends shift from topic to topic. Thelight from the inside was enough for them to see each other’s red faces. If onlythey would look at each other. Both were suddenly embarrassed at the three’s conversationthey were involved in.
“Uh,maybe I’ll just give Gil another shirt.” was all Alfred could say.
“We…can wear it together. I mean, if you like.” Y/N was slowly moving her gazetowards Alfred who was just some inches from her.
“Ithought you hate it. So I thought of giving it to Gil so you’ll finally likeit.” Alfred did not want any more misunderstanding.
“Iwas afraid I’d overwear it. Also, it’s quite awful.” Y/N looked at him withhonest eyes.
“Hey,it’s one of my favorite shirts!” Alfred forgot they were in hiding. “Give thatto me.”
“No.This is mine now.” Y/N hugged the shirt closer to her chest.
“Ohyeah, as if your shirt would fit me?” Alfred wanted his side of their matchingshirt back, but Y/N would not let go. He was blushing, embarrassed, but hestill bent down a little to quickly get hold of his shirt after he kissed her.
Itwas successful. She was surprised; he got his shirt. He hid his red face whilewearing it.
“Areyou an idiot wearing two shirts?” Y/N said with her bare red face.
“Sowhat? This is my ‘awful’ shirt. Why notwear yours so we match?” Alfred pouted like a child.
Therewas no need to think of an awesome entrance. The three got out as they heardAlfred’s voice defending his favorite shirt, and witnessed the case closed. Anothershirt was chosen to be given to Gilbert. Four shirts from his four friends: onewith ruffles, one with tomatoes, the other with a chick hatching from its egg,and one with awesome aliens.

Patton swung his legs slightly, his chubby little hands gripping his father’s hair tightly. Roman smiled happily as he walked along, carrying his six-year-old son on his shoulders through the grocery store. They’d already bought everything they’d needed; lettuce, milk, cereal, eggs, bread, and some lunch meat for sandwiches, and Roman had promised his little boy a special treat.
“Daddy, can we get the chocolate marshmallow? That’s my favorite!” Patton said, clapping happily once they reached the ice cream section. Roman laughed and swung his son off of his shoulders, making him squeal, and pushed his glasses up his little nose.
“You can get whatever you want, sweetheart. I’ll be waiting by the shopping cart, okay?” Roman said, kissing Patton on the forehead. Pat giggled and ran over to the freezing shelves, pressing his hands against the glass and looking at the cartons of ice cream. Roman chuckled and leaned against the handle of the shopping cart, his eyes softening with affection.
“Papa, can we get some?” Roman blinked and, in the least obvious way possible, glanced over at the source of the new voice. A little boy around Patton’s age with little bags under his eyes, messy hair, and a big black hoodie that hung almost down to his knees, He was adorable. When Roman saw who accompanied him, he could have sworn his heart stopped. A young man with chestnut brown hair and gorgeous hazel eyes bent down next to the pouting boy, his nose crinkling cutely, He had black glasses similar to Patton’s, and wore a black shirt, khaki pants, and a necktie. he was thin, but still well built, and that black shirt definitely helped display that. He spoke in hushed tones to the little boy, rubbing his arms and whispering, as if he was trying not to startle him. Roman didn’t realize he was staring until Patton tugged on his pant leg and held up the carton of ice cream.
“Daddy, here!” Roman patted his son’s head and kept looking at the other pair, listening closely.
“Trust me Virgil, I’d buy some, but I don’t get more money until Friday. We’re just buying ll that we need for now. When Friday comes I’ll buy a tub, all for us, okay?” the man said slowly. Roman’s brow furrowed as the little boy’s lip began to quiver and he nodded. The man smiled and kissed his son’s forehead, picking him up and placing him in the cart before walking off. Roman watched after him with a sad smile. Patton glanced from his father, to the man, and back again, and hurried over to the freezer, Roman saw him pull out another tub of chocolate marshmallow ice cream and almost stopped him, but when he realized what his son was doing, his heart melted. He put the two tubs of ice cream in his cart and picked Patton back up on his shoulders, and went to go pay for their groceries.
“I’m sorry sir, but that’s how much it costs. The money you have will only buy the eggs and bread. Either get some more cash or buy this stuff you can afford and go. There are people waiting,” The employee at the cash register snapped. Roman looked up to see the handsome man stammering, looking through the wadded up bills in his hands with tears in his hands. Tears of frustration, embarrassment, or sadness, Roman couldn’t tell. He watched with sad eyes as the man paid for the food and left a shampoo bottle, some bars of soap, a simple black shirt that had probably been for his son, cheese, milk, and two boxes of cheerios. The man grabbed his son’s hand and took the two items he could afford, head held high and ignoring the judgemental gazes of the other customers, even as tears threaten to spill down his cheeks. It was such a shame, all that man needed was a few groceries to help support him and his son...
Sir, hurry up and pay, there’s a line!” Roman snapped back to reality at the harsh tone of the employee. Quickly paying for his items, including the ice cram he planned to give to the man and his son, Roman found himself looking at the abandoned items behind the counter. They really weren’t that expensive. That poor man must’ve been truly struggling if he couldn’t afford these. And then he’d made up his mind.
“I’ll take those too please, but bag them separately.” The woman behind the register raised an eyebrow at him, but Roman could see the small smile she tried and failed to hide. Thanking her when he was done paying, Roman grabbed the two bags in one hand, hoisted Patton onto his shoulders with the other and rushed through the doors. He searched wildly for the man and was relieved when he saw him carrying his son towards the main road, not yet out of the parking lot.
“Hey! Mister! Wait up!” Roman shouted, running as fast as he could with a giggling child on his shoulders that pulled at his hair and grocery bags that weighed a ton. The man stopped, looking anything but pleased as Roman approached him. Roman’s heart was beating rapidly, and it wasn’t just from the running. He held out the bag of groceries for the bespectacled man to take, giving him a strained smile. The man’s eyes narrowed.
“I don’t want your charity,” he said coldly. Roman’s heart plummeted and he dropped his arm, bowing his head in shame. He’d been so stupid. Of course this man would be offended by something like this! He’d eavesdropped on his conversations twice!
“Papa, that’s not what you’re supposed to say!” the man’s son, Virgil was his name if Roman remembered correctly, said firmly as he grabbed his father’s leg. the man sighed and looked down at his son, definitely annoyed by this point.
“Oh? Then what am I supposed to say?” Virgil smiled and shook his head, as if his father was missing the obvious.
“You’re supposed to say thank you!” Virgil said shyly. The man’s eyes widened for a moment in pure panic and he turned back to Roman, glancing at the groceries in his hands. Roman resisted the urge to smile. It looked like the innocence of a child would be what saved the day this time. The man took the groceries with a trembling hand and smiled at Roman, making his heart flutter.
“T-Thank....Thank you...” he murmured, peering into the bag with a soft expression. Virgil cheered and hugged his father’s leg before looking back at Roman.
“What’s your name? And who’s he? I’m Virgil, and this is my papa, Logan,” Virgil mumbled. Logan’s handsome face turned beat red as if he were embarrassed and he tried to quiet his son, wanting to just take the groceries and leave, but Roman wasn’t having that.
“My name’s Roman Sharpe, and this is my son Patton,” Roman said in reply. Patton grinned down at the other boy and waved. Logan started to smile but quickly hid it by faking a yawn.
“Boy, I’m tired. Virgil and I best be heading home. Uh...thanks again for the groceries,” Logan said lowly. Roman nodded and quickly pulled out a pen and wrinkled up post-it note from his pocket, scribbling his number on it and handing it to Logan.
“It was my pleasure. If you ever need anything, or just want to- I don’t know, do something, just give me a call,” Roman said, hoping he didn’t stammer. Logan gave him a weird look but still took the number, tucking it in his pocket. Logan and Virgil waved one last time before embarking on the treacherous journey through the parking lot to find their car. Roman smiled giddily and practically skipped to his van, making Patton giggle and cheer.
Logan was all he could think about the rest of the ride home.

Love Letter
Notes: THREE DAYS IN A ROW! WOO! four/five fanfictions in one week, thats amazing! normally i dont write for long, but thanks to @thekitkatlizard i got an idea! and yes, this has blind!zane.
Word Count: 1, 358. Normal for me.
Warnings: none unless you hate love letters
“Aph, for the last time, I’m blind, I can’t read it.” Zane hisses, his closest friend giggling over the phone.
“Explain how you found it then?” The caramel-eyed girl asks.
“Garroth gave it to me. I don’t know why someone would write a letter, and not come to the house, because most likely they live nearby. Now will you come and read it?” Zane repeats.
“Fine, fine. I will. But I better get something in return…” Aphmau trails off.
Zane gives an aggregated sigh. “What do you want?”
“I WANT FUDGE! YOU TOLD ME YOU HAD SOME, BUT YOU NEVER GAVE ME IT!” Aphmau screeches.
“Irene, woman, you got some vocals….” Zane mutters. “I ate it all. That’s why you never got it.”
Aphmau growls. “Ugh, but I still want something!”
“I’ll take you to Olive Garden.”
“Deal!” Aphmau happily exclaims over the phone. “See ya in a minute!”
“I… SEE what you did there.” Zane smirks.
Aphmau giggles, both of them hanging up. Zane runs his fingers on the paper that kept the letter inside. The raven-haired male lies on his back on the dark purple colored bed sheets, a song playing on low volume. He couldn’t quite recognize the notes but- oh god, the G note. Zane fakes a small wail, saying silent to listen to one of his favorite song among many others: which did make him cry. He used to cry to this one, but Zane had gotten used to the song by now. The pale-blue eyed person silently taps his fingers to the time, singing along. He has also started associating songs with his friends. Sebonzakura remind him of Garroth for some reason, he gave Copycat to Kawaii~Chan, just because he can, and he did this with the others. One was special though, one reserved for someone infamous and famous in Zane’s mind; Gene. Sometimes, on a rainy day, he would play one of his top favorites, which was oddly enough not My Chemical Romance or Fall out Boy. It was actually Paramore, which made everyone confused.
Just by luck, the song came on. Zane silently sings along, waiting for Aphmau, is over seven minutes late now. Maybe she got stuck in something? Zane blocks any anxiety from entering his thoughts by his deep vocals, distracting him.
You, are, the only exception.
You, are, the only exception.
You, are, the only exception.
You, are, the only exception.
I’ve got a tight grip on reality!
But I can’t let go of what’s in front of me here…
I know you’re leaving in the morning when you wake up,
Leave me with some kind of proof it’s not a dream!
Zane turns his head to see Aphmau wide-eyed at the entrance of his room. “I didn’t know you could sing!”
Zane blushes and sinks into his shoulders a little. “I-I mean, I... I took choir i-in middle school, Heh…” he nervously explains.
Aphmau ruffles his hair and sits next to him. “Now where’s the letter?”
Zane raises the letter in the air. “Right ‘ere.”
The shorter one snatches the letter out of Zanes’ hand and opens the paper where the writing was sealed. She unfolds it about three times, the letter in a nice handwriting. It is about the length of a normal sketching paper, and had a back to it. She quickly looked over it and smirked. “Seems like someone is in love with you, Zane.”
Zane shoots up. “W-what?!”
Aphmau nods with a voice of knowing. “Mm-Hm, and the name is signed.”
“WHO IS IT FROM?!” Zane screams.
“Dear Zane,” Aphmau begins, ignoring Zanes’ request. Zane groans as he lies back down, listening to the words. “I know that it has been a few years since I moved near all of you, and I’m glad to have fixed my hostility with everyone, including you. I probably hurt you the most, which I am still sorry about. Every time I look at you, I get reminded of what I did. But that’s past us, right?” Aphmau pauses, quickly reading over the next paragraph. “Now that we are past the apologies, I can state that I’ve been seeing you act differently around me. You keep giving me this weird look, almost like you’re judging my soul. Who knows, maybe you are? Hah, I’m kidding. I can promise you though; that I know there is something more behind those eyes. I can see your mind going fifty miles per hour, and you stutter around me… a lot. I must say, it’s kinda adorable.”
Aphmau giggles as she looks at Zane, who had a small blush on his face. “I’m only a quarter way through and you’re already blushing.”
“S-shut up,” Zane squints, staring at Aphmau. “Continue.”
“Compliments aside, I’ve been able to keep my own personal secret for a while. I got in a truth or dare game with a few of the girls though as the punishment for a bet and… it kinda slipped? So, before they tell you, I decided to write this.” Aphmau continues. “Zane, a lot slipped. Like, a lot. All that I ever thought, or said, about you came out. So, here it comes.” Aphmau takes a deep breath as she prepares herself.
“Your midnight black hair constantly draws me in, somehow, like you having stars in your hair. I can say that your eyes are as bright as them, though, which any sane person could agree. The freckles which are barely visible are simply adorable, they make you look like a dork, but you also have a mature aura around you, balancing your personality. You can be extremely kind when you want to, and tearing down your walls around others only makes me feel proud of you. I wasn’t around you when you started becoming more social, so I don’t know how far you’ve really come, but I know it’s far.” Aphmau stares at Zane, whose face was a bright pink. She gives a small laugh as she reads the end.
“Unfortunately, I’m starting to run out of space. I know you probably won’t understand everything I’m saying, mostly because you probably don’t completely share my affection towards you, but I tried my best to write this. I may have failed epically; I may have won over your heart. Wait, did I just write this whole thing in ink? Wait, how would you know? Damn it, I was doing so well writing this. Guess I just spoiled it for myself.” Aphmau continues to stare at Zane.
“So?” She asks.
Zane darts his eyes around in disbelief. “I… who wrote this? It’s so excellently written- I don’t think anyone has this amount of skill besides me.”
Aphmau leans in. “Gene.”
“Gene what?” Zane questions, Aphmau letting out a sigh.
“Gene wrote this, stupid!”
“GENE?!” Zane screeches. “HE- HE WROTE THIS?!”
Aphmau nods vigourously. “Yes, Zane!”
“Are you serious?”
Aphmau rolls her neck. “YES! YES I AM! DO YOU THINK I’D LIE ABOUT THIS TYPE OF THING?!”
Zane shrugs. “I mean… I dunno, you and KC ship me with a lot of people.”
“We never guessed Gene though.” The other mutters.
Zane slides off his bed. “I’m talking to him.”
“Zane, wait!” Aphmau runs up beside him. “Don’t hurt yourself, okay?”
Zane nods. “I won’t. It’s just going to be a quick chat.”
Aphmau slides the paper in Zane’s hand as he rushes off. “See ya!”
Zane runs across the street, weary for any sounds indicating harm. He gets to the other side of the street, continuing to run across. He dashes past the houses, coming near the end of the street. He cuts through the yard, jumping onto the patio, and knocks furiously on Gene’s door. “GENE!”
A familiar face opens the door. “Zane?” Gene questions.
Zane grabs Gene in a tight hug, whispering. “I got the letter.”
A small blush appears on Gene’s face. “I- oh, uh, heh, so….”
Zane buries his face in the corner of Genes’ neck. “It’s fine. Besides, I…I should tell you, too. I should have told you a while ago.”
Gene gives a small chuckle as he keeps embracing the other. “I should have too.”

I’m sorry
(A/N: Okay I’d like to point something out. This fan fiction me and one of my friends are planning on writing so I decided to write this a bit early and post it on here)
“We finally get to go home!” Aph screeched excitingly as the portal opened and we saw our future selves. I stared at myself she was wearing my favorite sweater. Why did this feel so wrong? I could see it in her face to it was scrunched up as she attempted to hide herself.
“Oh I can’t wait!” I heard Phoenix squeal next to me. She jumped up and down squealing. But it was fading away. Everything started feeling so far away. Almost how you see flashbacks in movies.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“Alice are you sure your ready for this?” The woman asked. Now I can notice the smaller details that now made me want to scream.
My eyes. She had my eyes. And the scar I got on my collarbone when I was ten. And the way she was looking at me. The pity.
“Yeah of course I’m becoming a relic can’t be the worst thing to happen to me can it.” I laughed lightly shrugging. She chuckled to now it was obvious she remembered saying those words.
“Oh no no it won’t be my dear. Now go get that demon.” She encouraged me with that smile. My smile. She tightened her grip on my shoulders. “I’m so sorry abo-“
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
“-ut the fate I lead you to.” I took a few steps back from the portal grabbing my head. I felt my eyes go wide and I caught my breath. “This isn’t the fate I was lead to.”
“What was that Alice?” Lucinda said using one hand to keep the portal open. Everyone had crossed over already…they were waiting for me. I felt a metal hand touch my shoulder.
I looked up and saw Garroth. Not my Garroth the other Alice’s Garroth. Did he have the same kind of relationship me and my Garroth had? If he did he was most definitely gonna hate me for what I was about to do.
“Do you guys remember Alana? From the relic place?” I asked turning my head from Garroth to future Alice. She gave me a soft smile she knew what I was doing. She had tears in the corner of her eyes.
“Yeah of course. She was so badass!” Kaytlen exclaimed. Pumping her fist into the air. I really hoped the Kaytlen over here had the same powerful spirit the same fury like her title eludes to her having.
“Now what if I told you her actual name was Alice.” I said searching in they’re eyes for the best way to explain the best way to say this.
“Why are you bringing up this coincidence now?” Nana asked. I felt tears start to well up in my eyes. Why was this so much harder than it should be.
“Yeah. Can’t we talk about this later?” Zane asked an arm wrapped around Phoenix. Her face was confused to a realization than it switched to a look of anger.
“No your my best friend! You! You can’t leave.” Phoenix exclaimed. I gave her a soft smile. Tears falling down her face to.
“I’m not leaving silly. Just…giving you someone new to make memories with.” I said looking at the other Alice. “Right?” I asked her stepping towards the portal.
“Right.” Her tone. It was my voice but so different so much softer more gentle than I could ever manage.
“I don’t care!” Both Phoenix’s exclaimed at the same time walking towards the portal. They looked at each other for a moment seeming to come to a silent agreement. Then they pulled each other through.
Phoenix walked up and hugged me tight. I was shocked. “She wasn’t you. And I hate to say it but I want to stay here with you.” Phoenix explained. I hugged her tight letting more tears fall.
“My friends.” The other Alice said and looked over the people who crossed to what was now my side of the portal. “I love you all dearly but,” she paused and smiled at Garroth weakly. “Fate has a path me and my counterpart and it’s time we follow it.”
She walked up to me we stared into each others eyes for a few moments. “Take care of them.” I said sobbing harder. Phoenix took a step away from me. Why did this have to feel like it was tearing me from the inside out.
“Only if you promise to take care of them.” The other Alice stayed stated. Blinking through my tears I could see she was crying to. Than I saw a blonde and blue blur shove his way to the front of the crowd.
“Al…” It was Garroth’s voice. My Garroth. I should’ve known he wouldn’t just stand back as I did this. I smiled at him whipping away my tears.
“We all always talked about how my life never seemed like it fit me. Now this my chance to make a new life.” I looked at Garroth and gave him a bittersweet smile. The other Alice and took a few steps back. I nodded towards Lucinda. “I’m also terrible at goodbyes.” I explained. “But this isn’t a goodbye. I’m sorry Gar.”
I looked away as the Lucinda’s jumped through causing the portals to close.I collapsed onto my knees sobbing me and Phoenix held each other. Now I was alone next to Lucinda’s house with a bunch of strangers. My only friend in my arms.
I soon felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Garroth. “Alice right?” He asked in my Garroth’s gentle tone. I couldn’t help but melt into it as I nodded. “We can’t stay here we’re gonna take you two somewhere safe where we can talk.” I couldn’t help but let him guide me to stand up. He felt so safe almost like home.
Before I knew it we were sitting in Aphmau’s house and a young boy was handing me and Phoenix cups of tea. Phoenix was on my right with Garroth on my left. “So you meant she um the other you are from future to us but past in your timeline. And she was protecting the place where ancient relics are made?” Aphmau asked.
“Yes that is the simplest way to summarize it.” I explained to Lord Aphmau. “Thank you Malichi” I said as the young man handed me a cup. He looked at me shocked I just smiled at him and sipped my tea.
“So she chose for you to go back to the past?” Past Kaytlen’s voice trembled with anger and I couldn’t help but flinch. I should have never doubted her fire. I was so emotionally exhausted I just couldn’t help but flinching though. I felt Garroth wrap a arm around my shoulders and pull me away from Kaytlen slightly accidentally pulling me away from Phoenix but she was far to distracted staring at the docks blankly.
“It wasn’t her fault…Or at least I believe it wasn’t.” I sighed out taking a long sip of tea. “It’s a lot to explain in one night unless you guys have knowledge on a time paradox?” I looked up half hopeful but the point didn’t seem to get across. Judging the confused look on all they’re faces. They had no clue.
“Well while I’m sure we’re all intrigued by that topic I must say we should have that conversation another time.” Garroth suggested and everyone agreed. His voice was so firm yet still so calming. The parts I loved the most about my Garroth. But I quickly shook off those thoughts.
“Oh thank Irene.” I sighed out relaxing slightly. I was lean I was leaning into Garroth but I didn’t have the energy to do anything different. “That would have taken all night.” I said doing my best to choke down a yawn..
“Oh your probably exhausted..we all are finish your tea. Than please get some rest.” Aphmau said than excusing herself to retire for the night. Phoenix stood up and I looked at her.
“I’m going to go to the docks. I’ll meet up with you later.” She said leaving her tea on the table and walking out. Everyone’s face wore confusion.
“Zane is at the docks. And him and your guys’ previous Phoenix had somewhat of a romantic endeavor. Well so did our previous Zane.” I explained to them. They all fell silent.
Once I finished my cup I walked outside and stared over the wheat field. I than heard someone approach from behind.
“Lady Alice?” It was Garroth’s voice I felt like I was melting. I turned my head to him and smiled. “May I walk you back to where you are staying to assure you get back safe and sound?” He asked such a gentlemen.
“You may I’m staying in a camp across town.” I said walking towards him. It would be cold tonight being the only one there.
He looked at me shocked. “That’s far to dangerous there’s a spare room in the place where I’m staying. We can get your things and head there.” He said alerting a guard. “Please go tell Lady Phoenix where I am with Alice here and tell her she is welcome to as well.” The guard saluted than ran off. Garroth began to walk off taking my hand and leading me.
“That’s very kind thank you.” I said he appeared to instinctively pulled me into him and his warmth. Wrapping an arm around my shoulders. “Pardon my forwardness but what was your relationship with your Alice?” I asked staring at his hand.
“Well I hate to say it but we were trying to make something out of nothing.” He explained walking forwards. He had one hand on the hilt of his sword. One of his eyebrows than raised. “What about you and your Garroth?” He questioned.
“Well while your description fits it’s a bit off. We had chemistry but something about our personalities just didn’t-“ While I was explaining we slowed down almost completely stopping.
“Fit” We both said at the same time. Witch caused me to jump and cover my mouth. I looked him in the eyes.
“That’s a much better fit for what I was trying to describe.” He said looking down at me smiling. We stood there for a moment looking at each other. I thought about kissing him but no. Not yet anyways.
