Bunny’s eyes dropped to the ground. His lop ears lowered farther. A tiny whimper escaped him, and he wouldn’t look at Twilight.

Bunny turned away, confirming Twilight’s suspicions: Bunny knew the fate of one of his owners.

“’m sorry we couldn’t take ye back to yer other owner—Ravio, was it?” Another whimper from Bunny. “Ye must miss him.”

Slowly, Bunny nodded. He stayed silent.

Twilight regretted bringing it up at all. “Sorry, are ye okay?”

A low keen from Bunny. A definite ‘no,’ even if not a word had left Bunny’s mouth. In his eagerness to finally speak with Bunny, Twilight had gone and upset the poor creature. First, they had taken him away from his home and family, and now Twilight was reminding him of his recent loss.

“’m sorry,” Twilight repeated. “I shouldn’t ‘ave brought it up. If ye ever want to talk, I’ll listen.”

Bunny still wouldn’t look at him. Twilight had never known an animal to fall so despondent, and that protectiveness within his chest flared, bright and golden.

“Aw, c’mere.” Twilight paced around Bunny three times before carefully lowering himself to the ground, wrapping his tail over his forelegs to complete the little circle around Bunny. Bunny made a curious sound as he was surrounded, but he didn’t try to run nor escape, only gazed at Twilight with intensity in his eyes. “Get some rest, li’l one. I’ll protect ye tonight.”

Bunny’s violet eyes glistened. He dipped his little head, lop ears swaying. He paced in the small circle of space he had, three times just like Twilight, before settling down in Twilight’s fur, resting his fluffy head against Twilight’s. They fell asleep together, Twilight curled around his tiny pink bunny, protecting him from nightmares, monsters and the bite of the cold alike.

Come morning, Wild would have a dozen new photos on his slate, but the teasing fell on deaf ears when Twilight could only fawn over how small Bunny was, encircled by his wolf form. Guardian Ep 35 Part 1: WeiLan moments by run time

There be spoilers!  For Part 2 or previous episodes, just go to my archives starting from April 2019 to search.

There’s just too much WeiLan-ness so I had to split episode 35 into two posts again due to all the content. Not a bad thing, I think: there’s only five eps left  before it’s all over [::sob::] so I would much rather there be so much WeiLan love that I can’t capture everything in one post. 

As much as I enjoyed every moment between Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan in the past, I have a major, major bone to pick with the Guardian writers. JUST when I was starting to think I’ve been unfairly harsh on them, they went and did something so unbelievably dumb, that I am I still reeling from the utter stupidity of their decision. Anyway, I’ll save my ranting for the end of the post for Part 2, so that it can be easily skipped over, in case you want to be spared from my negativity.

Just love the way ZYL looks at little SW, like he’s a real pretty wonder to behold.

Anytime anyone says “We Will Meet Again” on this show, my heart will just ache in response.

So I accidentally got spoiled about the significance of the candy wrapper, but I didn’t know we would actually get to see how SW got it. I was thrilled and just melting throughout this scene: it’s SO ADORABLE how SW’s like off to the side, busy with picking up the wrapper and putting it away for safe-keeping while ZYL and Da Qing are busy discussing important matters. I love that it’s totally set up like something a smitten person would do upon discovering that the person he/she loves has accidentally dropped a personal item on the ground. Beautiful and perfectly done.

I love how SW’s fiddling with the wrapper one second, but as soon as ZYL’s like, let’s go, he immediately gets into serious mode and is like, Yes sir! CUTENESSSSS.

I actually looooved the way the following scene was set up: at first I was kinda annoyed that kitty boy interrupted SW and ZYL’s moment, until I soon realized that Da Qing was essentially saying what SW wanted to tell ZYL after hearing that he had to leave soon. And then when ZYL started telling kitty about choosing the person he wanted to protect and follow, then talking about love from the heart and finally giving him the bell necklace as his master, it was clear this really was all for SW who was listening to all of this, that Da Qing was kind of his stand-in.  This was no doubt the moment when SW decided how important ZYL, or “Kunlun”, was in his heart, which probably led to what he eventually did with the candy wrapper. It’s pretty brilliant actually since I’m guessing the writers did it this way to get by the Chinese censors...it would have been too blatant if ZYL was saying that stuff to SW and then topped it off by putting a necklace on him as a symbol of his “ownership”. No way to get around the gay that way, so they chose the owner and pet way. Clever.

Your heart was pounding in your ears as you watch your best friend grab at his hair in frustration. You both were currently standing on the side of the road, Taehyung was driving you back home. We had went out to eat at your favorite place for your birthday. You had got up to use the bathroom, and when you came back Taehyung was standing up with that certain look on his face, and you knew he was pissed about something. His brows in a somewhat permanent frown, and his eyes dead and mouth in a straight line. You asked him what was wrong but he just grabbed your wrist and pulled out of of the restaurant, you didn't miss the waiter just bringing out your meals that you both have ordered.

In the car you kept trying to get him to tell you what made his mood change so quickly. You didn't even care that it was your birthday anymore, you just wanted him to be your happy best friend again. He eventually lets out, “The horrid waiter wanted your number. He had the audacity to ask me for your number after he found out i was only your best friend.” He huffs. You were surprised. Someone wanted your number? Shouldn't he be happy for you? You asked him if it was the waiter that took your order and he nodded not saying anything. “Taehyung! You should’ve gave it to him, he was fine as wine!” You laugh only have joking. But you assumed he didn't take it as a joke because he suddenly stopped on the side of the street causing the car behind us to honk.

That was when your heart started beating fast. You watched as he got out of the car and slammed it shut, startling you, only because you didn't expect him to slam it. You looked out of the mirror to see him on your side of the car leaning against it. You couldn't come up with good enough reason to why he was acting this way.

And now you were standing not even three feet from him watching him.

Taehyung wasn't good at hiding his feelings. He was a skinship king. He wanted to hold you and cuddle you, which he does sometimes. But he wants to do it all of the time. He wanted to kiss you all over and make you feel like his queen. So when you asked him why he didn't give that guy your number, it was like his heart exploded in his chest. The more he thinks about it the more he panics. He knows how clueless you are, and he knows that he can't just tell you without you freaking out, also the fact that you guys are on the side of a road. He just needed to breath before he himself exploded.

“Tae, please talk to me.” You say for the third time, you felt like he was ignoring you on purpose. You noticed that his eyes were squeezed shut and he was taking deep breaths. It reminded you his reaction when you got in that car crash years ago just not with tears.

“Tae Ta-”

“SHUT UP! God, you aren't making anything better! If anything you are making it worse.” He turns and practically screams at you. You choke on your breath, you eyes go as wide as they go. You could instantly feel your eyes start to water, not only because you were sad. But because he had no right to yell at you when you were only trying to help. And because it was your birthday.

When Taehyung heard you sniff his head snapped up to yours, and it was like all of his anger just disappeared from his face. It turned more into a pained expression.

“YN…”

“Fuck you Taehyung, I want to go home.” You cry going back to the car, but instead of sitting in the front where you were first located, you go to the back right behind where you were sitting. You quickly get in and lock the door because like you assumed Taehyung came up and tried to open the door. You quickly look the other way when you seen him cuff his hand around his face trying to look into the tinted windows. You wipe your eyes as well, not liking the feeling of being weak. You notice that he goes to his side of the car, and he opens the drivers side door and gets in and shuts the door. He looks back at you looking out of the window, clearly not wanting to look at him.

“Yn...I'm sorry.” He says softly finally calming down after what felt like a long time. You don't say anything, you only cross your arms over your chest. You didn't care who he was to you, he wasn't going to yell at you for trying to help him calm down. You hear him sigh and start the car up and heading your way home.

Once you make it up the driveway, you don't wait until he had turned the car out. You just got right out and briskly walked to your front door.

Taehyung quickly turns off his car and runs after you. He grabs your wrist before you make it to the stairs and he pulls you back. He turns you around and pulls you into his hold, and hugs you like his life depended on it. He didn't know what else to do, he needed you to understand that none of this was your fault, all his.

“I just wanted to help you, and you just exploded. I don't understand Tae.” You mumble into his chest. He hugs you closer for a couple of seconds. He then pulls away only a little bit. You both make eye contact and you don't break it until he looks down.  He leans closer to you. He leans his forehead on your with his eyes closed. He takes a deep breath.

“I'm just so sorry.” He whispers. “I ruined your birthday, what kind of best friend am I?” He asks. What kind of best friend am I to fall in love with you. Complete and utterly in love, he thinks to himself.

“I don't care about my birthday Taehyung, I'll have plenty more. I just care about you.” You poke at his chest. “And when you shut me out, it hurts Tae, so much” You pull him tighter loving his warmth around you. You pull away and look up at him. He has such sad but loving eyes, you give him a small smile wanting to see his to bring some calmness and coziness in your heart. But instead he drags you back and he tucks his head into your neck. He breathes in and out against you creating goosebumps all over your body, you hoped he didn't notice your body tense up. He didn't make anything better when he grazed his nose up your neck and to your jaw softly.

“I'm so fucking sorry, I will tell you what's going on in my crazy mind. I just have to figure everything out.” He says into your neck. More like figure how to confess to you, I can't keep it in anymore, He thinks to himself.

“Okay, Let's go have a movie night.” You smile and peck his cheek, not helping it, and you run inside.

Little did you know, you made his heart burst all over again.

Summary: 5SOS has come to Mexico, Y/N’s country, where she was born and raised. They have been there quite a few times on tour, but when Y/N invites them over for a nice, relaxing vacation on their month off, they see the country in a whole different way. 

Your boyfriend being a musician has its perks and its disadvantages. The perks being Calum is an amazing person, always makes you laugh and makes you feel safe. You’ve had previous relationships in which you didn’t feel like you could be yourself. But with Calum, you just felt like you could be you and he’d still love you for it. Another perk was that he was touring so much you could always just book yourself a flight and go wherever the band was. But all the touring came with disadvantages too. The main one being you didn’t see each other very often. And when you did, it was either for a short amount of time or Calum was asleep because he was so tired of all the shows he had to play.  In July, the boys had a whole month off, and you decided it would be fun to invite them to Mexico City, where you still live most of the time -- if you’re not with Calum in LA or anywhere around the world -- and where you were born and raised. The boys had been in Mexico a few times, but never really got the time to get to know the city and the culture. So, you thought it would be great to take them on a tour of your favorite spots. You took them to museums you used to go to as a kid with your abuelos (Grandparents), to Paseo de la Reforma, to la Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe, to Sian Ka’an, to las ruinas de Chichen Itza and Ik Kil. It’s refreshing to see how mesmerized Calum is by everything he sees. He looks like a child seeing Santa Claus for the very first time. The other boys are just really excited to be here and love everything you show them. 

You’re currently sat on the white sand of la Playa del Carmen. A beach you used to come to with your parents and brother. Y/B/N and you used to play mermaid in the ocean or sometimes even Lilo & Stitch as the both of you were quite adequate surfers and used to surf all the time. It was just right pretending to be the Disney Characters and doing Rollercoaster Ride on a surf board.  “This has been such a fun month so far, Y/N,” says Luke as he lays down on his towel to get a bit of a tan. His white ass does need a bit of colour.  “Yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Mexico this way. It’s amazing!” Ashton chimes in with a smile. Your smile mirrors his, but then fades when you realize how quiet Calum has been for the past hour. He’s just sat next to you on a towel, staring out to the ocean crashing into the shore.  “Are you okay?” you ask softly, nudging him in the ribs slightly. He shakes out of his thoughts and tears his gaze away from the water. His brown eyes now look at you, a sparkle in them you had only seen a couple times in the last year the two of you have been together.  “Yeah, just really admiring the beautiful sight,” he tells you and wraps an arm around you to pull  you closer.  “I hope you mean the ocean and not me, because that’d be cheesy as fuck,” you tell him, laughing. A soft laugh sounds from his body too as he presses his lips to your temple.  “Yeah, I meant the ocean, but you’re quite the sight too,” he tells you with a grin on his face. You roll your eyes, then rest your head on his shoulder, sighing contently. “I just don’t understand how an ocean can be so blue while it’s so dark at other places,” he explains dreamily.  “I don’t know, actually. I guess it is weird,” you mumbles, agreeing to his thought. You loved it when Calum just told you whatever was on his mind. His mind was beautiful and you’ve found yourself wondering what was going on in there more often than not. Moments like these were always special to you.  “Can we do more of these holidays together, please?” he then asks softly, making sure the other boys didn’t hear. He just wanted to go on vacation with you. Explore the world with just you.  “Yes, please! Maybe you should show me around Sydney sometime,” you suggest, and the most beautiful smile appears on his face. He nods.  “Yeah, I would love that,” he agrees and leans in to kiss you on your lips softly.  That night, you took the boys to a Lucha Libre match and they looked like happy, excited children on Christmas morning.
