I know I talk mostly about Azul and Idia on here, but y’all should know that if I’m going to pull for someone, it’s almost always gonna be Floyd, Ortho, or Riddle. Sometimes Jamil, but. Mostly Them. The only Azul card I Had to have was his Beanfest. While I like all of his and Idia’s in general, I’m not Mad about them. Floyd, Ortho, and Riddle, on the other hand…

Floyd was my first twst fav. The Tweels are the whole reason I joined the game. I love his cards. He’s always in a silly goofy mood and on the verge of committing manslaughter. I love that for him. I pulled 260 times for his Beanfest SSR. He did not come home. No SSR Floyd has ever come home when I’ve pulled for him. I only have Dorm Floyd because he randomly popped up when I was pulling for someone else.

Obviously, I also love Ortho. He is best boi. Love murderous slightly eldritch Bildungsroman arcs and sibling love. I cried during those last arcs in Chapter 6. And Ortho during Ghost Marriage? Iconic. Blackmail and fire away. The other thing about Ortho? He. Never. Misses. Dorm card? Gorgeous. The bday cards? Adorable. The Fairy Gala? A revelation. His hound card? Life changing. The new circus card? A classic. Vil step aside, Ortho is here to steal your thunder and your Prada.

I knew nothing about Riddle when I joined the game. I hated him initially. But he grew on me and stuck. A) This bad boy can fit so much projection in him. B) He tries so hard. Not only in academics etc., but to become a better person. To look after those he cares for. C) He’s adorable, in looks and personality. And his cards? Either adorable or badass or both. He’s either leading the cards into battle or standing before a wall of fire or riding away on horseback, or he’s smiling shyly with his friends and being awkward. His birthday boy/suit and tsum cards? The cutest ever. He slays and he protects. 10/10

So yes, those two are my favs, for all that I have no Floyds and possibly too many Orthos. I pulled for his Fairy Gala while in critical condition in the hospital and by G-d I got it. The only one of his I don’t have is his Halloween gear, as unfortunately I was dead from a different surgery or AFK for those events because I didn’t expect them to happen so early.

Also, stan Silk Jamil. One day you will come home.

Anyway. That’s it. I’m done. Just wanted to rant about my fav cards. Feel free to reblog with your own faves and rants.

Kit’s bday

Both Kalim and Fellow/Gidel who would want the full day with Kit. Fun. For the positives, two groups fighting over her made her feel extremely special. More like one group fighting a single person who is completely unaware.

Though Kit did feel a bit bad having to choose between everything, luckily they made her aware of everything before hand, so she could help plan with both parties.

The day before was a party ram by Kalim. Everything was top notch and decked out in gold and jewels. If anything it made her feel like she was hoarding treasure. But she had a lot of fun, especially with how adorable she found Kalim the whole day.

Kalim: Kit! *puts an armband on Kit* Don’t you think this looks amazing on you?!

Kit: Kalim, this is gold…

Kalim: Yeah, but the gold matches you!

Kit: I feel I’m starting to understand Jamil more and more.

Kalim: What?

But on her actual birthday, she spent it in the town with Fellow and Gidel. They mainly just sight saw, even if they had already been multiple places before, but they also indulged in a few extra things. It was a nice way to relax after the full day yesterday. Fellow also put on a bit of his showmanship just to give the day an extra bit of fun.

Gidel: *pulling Kit towards their favorite ice cream place*

Kit: Gidel! Hold on! Don’t you think that place is expensive? It has the best ice cream, sure, but that’s because quality, and quality is costly.

Fellow: *showman mode* Fear not, we have specifically planned around this day. Today shall be free and fun!

Kit: You could have just said it was okay. Your show act is weird. *gives a fake smile* Though, keep saying that and I’ll take you up on that offer until your wallet is empty.

And gurl, I feel ya. Let’s be real, who doesn’t want ✨SSS✨? It’s a well-deserved #flex once accomplished, totes post-worthy on all your SNS!

Before we dive in, just making sure you are aware of the two different types, basic and defense tests, right? If not, here’s a link that explains it! Let’s get to the main stage-☆

Fire Basic: Your current team of 5 is honestly pretty solid having 4 duos with decent atks. Just MAX out your ATK buddies and your skills if you haven’t done so already, especially all the DUO magics and Kalim’s M1 so he boosts FG Leona’s Duo, which should be your finisher! If you are invested in FG Leona and want to increase his level with perfumes or by friendship level, I would also recommend adding Rook into your team build as he increases Leona’s atk. (FG Leona at lv110 does 3x10k+ on his duo with Rook in the team, which is HUGE for a defense card)

Otherwise, you could try replacing Robe Lilia and SM Vil with Dorm Riddle and GM Ace. His atk/DUO is a lot stronger than FG Leona for sure, so forming a team around Ace-kun as the finisher is also a good idea. If you have the resources, do consider raising him! He’s my #1 go-to for fire basics (although Dorm Ortho is very close to dethroning his seat if I can get his level closer to Ace’s)

Fire Defense:  Since this isn’t part of the current JP tests, I’ll just quickly go over team building. Basically, you want a team with high HP, and with heals? Even better. Ideally, you want a team that can defeat the enemy in your first move of T5, so if you find that your team is too weak to defeat at the end, consider changing out one of your boys to a strong atk card with water elements!

Some good cards you have on your list are: SSR Dorm Trey, Dorm Deuce, SR Robe Ortho, Lab Idia, Lab Ace, Lab Lilia. But be mindful not to have a team with more than 1-2 flora elements in your team.

Water Basic: Since you’ve recently got Dorm Vil and Leona, those two are a match made in heaven for water basic. So you’d be cray-cray not to add them to your team! Also, consider adding Dorm Jack to your team! I know his M1 is Fire but his base atk is strong and he also has an atk buddy boost with Leona! So very good synergy between those 3 cards together 😎 He’s way better than the Robe Jack you have in your team currently. Once all 3 of their levels and skills are raised, try to mix and match your current team with them. But honestly, the key to a great score in water basic is having Dorm LeonaVil’s magics maxed out

Water Defense: Dorm Trey + Halloween Cater!! Also, I hope you collected enough event drop items to level DW(Dancing and Wishes) Idia’s magic cause he’s very useful in water defense, especially when paired up with Robe Ortho. Idia increases both Dorm Trey and Robe Ortho’s HP, and Ortho also increases DW Idia’s HP. Aaaand Blooms Jack in the final spot as he’s Halloween Cater’s HP buddy as well as his DUO.

Flora Basic: My only input here is to replace NY Sebek with Robe Cater, and no, it’s not 'cause of bias I swear! Dorm Riddle would be your finisher so it’s good to have Riddle’s atk up buddy in your team to increase the finishing blow 🔥 (Also he goes pretty well with your Dorm JamilKalim duo, as Jamil is Robe Cater’s atk up buddy)

Flora Defense: Dorm Trey is still a great card to have in your Flora Defence team, even if his M1 is water. His massive heal and tanky HP are just way too good! A possible team you could use with him is by adding NY Sebek, Beans Jade, Dorm Jamil, and Lab Kalim. Not the greatest synergy-wise (only 2 buddy bonuses), but still has a decent amount of fire spells and 2 heals. Trey's heal should be used in the last turn, but if your team isn't strong enough to KO the opponent, adjust your team since you really don't want Trey to take damage after using his heal.

Aside from that team, you can also use Tamashina Leona + Halloween Lilia since they're both healers, and use Dorm Jamil, Lab Kalim, and NY Sebek.

Omni/Void Basic: Both tests could use the same teams, cause you want BIG damage overall. Just make sure you have a good range of elements in your Omni test as it’s all based on ✨luck✨, so pray that the RNG gods are nice to you.

I hope you do end up giving Dorm LeonaVil some TLC cause they will also be very useful in these tests and will do better dmg than the Scarabia duo, which you could switch over later and replace FG Leona with any Cater or Azul cards, to either activate Riddles Duo or boost his atk. I do like how you make teams with DUOs in mind though! And your current teams are fine ^^

PSA though, void is super hard to score well!! SS is the best we can get so far, and even that is very hard atm unless you are a whale (or extremely lucky with your pulls). But who knows, with M3 and the boosted stats of limit broken cards, it could change later!

Omni/Void Defense: For void, try out Bloom Jack, HW Cater, Dorm Trey, and Dorm Scarabia duo. They have good synergy and high HP! But maybe not for omni tests cause there’s only one fire spell and too much flora…aha

I’m bored. Instead of working on the next chapter of my fic, I want to take a bit of a break and do Jamil and Kalim’s birth charts and say what some interesting aspects of it means for their characters. Just for fun. 

Disclaimer: I’m not an astrologer, so some of the info might be off. This is according to astrology, so not everything will tie neatly back into their characters. (There is one example from what I can see seems OOC for Kalim.) 

Before we begin, these are some things that I took into account. 

The game came out in Japan on March 2020 and uses the English school year calendar. (Starts in the autumn and ends before summer in a general sense.) This means that the school year in universe would’ve started the year before in 2019, and the “new year” would be 2020. With this in mind, I made their birth years 2002 instead due to pushing back the clock a few years. (Since someone who is 19/20 now would’ve been 17 back in 2019/2020 depending on their bday.) 

Since birth charts depend on where you are born and their hometown doesn’t exist, I’ll be using Dubai as a stand in. 

Taking that into account, these are Kalim and Jamil’s birth charts...

Jamil Viper

Sun Sign: Libra  

Rising Sign: Virgo 

Moon Sign: Scorpio 

Some interesting tidbits we can glean from this... 

His Saturn and North node are on the Midheaven. People who usually have this placement in their birth charts mean that they are super insecure about achieving success and being criticized in work settings. 

Pluto on the nadir. This can make the individual intensely focused and extremely grounded in their inner power and hyper focused on goals. 

Uranus in Aquarius is in the sign of its rulership. Intellectual, progressive, and detached. 

The ruler of the 10th House (Mercury) in the 1st House. These people are ambitious and actively try to improve their social status.

This also means, at least according to astrology, that Danger Noodle is inquisitive and smart, trying to learn new skills and find connections in things.

They would be artistic and luxurious. They would be psychically attractive. They’ll be diplomatic, social, balanced and fair-minded. They’ll also like to indulge him. On the other end, they can be judgemental and materialistic. Since his Venus is in the 3rd House, he will likely get a mixture of both, but leaning towards the positive.

Adding onto the previous point, he’s destined to marry rich. So, yes. He’s gonna live out Aladdin one day. (Which is funny in regards to my own “Yuu”, since she comes from a rich background back in her world. I think @thosebrookfieldgirls​​  would also get a kick outta that due to their own OC who they ship with Jamil being rich. Do with that information what you will Jamikali shippers, I guess.)

Interesting tidbits we can glean from this... 

His birth chart is see saw shaped. Indecisive and interested in finding balance in life and relationships with others.

The Cardinal mode is dominant among the inner planets. Opportunistic, driven and ambitious. (Are we sure we didn’t get these mixed up with Jamil? xD) 

Being a Leo Rising, his ruler of the ascendant is the sun. This means that he can be indecisive, energetic and is often influenced by those around him. 

Uranus in the 7th House. This means that he might find a partner in a different person than he expected. On a possible downside, he might be prone to turbulent marriages. But he can manage this if he puts the effort in.

Kalim

He searches for months on end trying to figure out when your birthday is even the slightest hint when it might be. Eventually after trying to figure it out so much he asks Jamil what he should do and he just walks up to you and ask you when your birthday is.

Kalim is completely foreign to the idea of not throwing a party on people’s birthdays, so once he finds out your not a fan of your birthday he’s completely dumbfounded.

To change their mind and throw a party so they love it or none at all

In the end he consult some of your friends, and ultimately decides that he’s not going to do either one

He enjoys parties because of how much joy it brings people but he doesn’t want to go overboard when it comes to you because he doesn’t want you to be upset on your birthday so he decides to hold a date on the day of your birthday that way it’s only you and him

It’s held at your dorm in your room because if it was at his it would feel like a party

It first starts out with you guys just talking and hanging out

then eventually he turns on the music and you guys dance and he thinks that’s the best part of the day is when you guys start dancing because you both just forget about everything and just be happy with the other

And he loves it when you’re happy, when you’re happy, he’s happy

He doesn’t have cake, balloons, banners, he doesn’t take you anywhere special, he just wants you to feel comfortable on your special day

He’s not one to really celebrate birthdays

So he’s totally OK with just spending the day casually hanging out (that is if you tell him when your birthday is)

You mostly do the same thing that you two always do when you hang out so not much changes although at one point he does say happy birthday, I hope this is better than your last.

He’s honestly really relieved that you’re not a fan of birthdays because that means he doesn’t have to plan one or do anything special he just has to hang out with you and that’s it and he’s happy with that.

He doesn’t ask why you’re not a fan of birthdays either, he totally understands, if you want to tell him that’s also okay with him. He doesn’t want to push anything, he just wants you to open up if you feel like it and if you don’t, you don’t.

However just because he’s not planning a birthday or anything like that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. He is going to hang out with you and stay by your side most of the day just because he wants to.

Like Kalim he is absolutely dumbfounded, about why you don’t like your birthday.

He’s got his Contacts that’s how he found out your birthday, also he asked for your consent to celebrate your birthday before planning everything because if you didn’t want to celebrate he was totally okay with that.

He’s not entirely sure what he should do either… he wants to have a chill party similar to how their Unbirthday‘s work. But he also kind of wants to do something adventurous, because that’s just who he is.

He doesn’t want it to seem like a birthday party so he ends up going right in the middle where it’s a tea party it’s just you and him until later that day when he decides that you guys are going to go out and do something fun and adventurous.

Obviously throughout the day he’s taking photos to post on magicam, I mean how could he not

Ultimately in the end though because you’re not a huge fan of your birthday he decides he’s not going to post them but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to keep them he’s going to love and cherish every photo he takes even the ones where you don’t look as pretty with sheer terror on your face when you guys go do something adventurous.

He’ll always get a crack out of it including when he took the photos

He’s kind of really glad that despite it being your birthday you really enjoyed yourself it makes him really happy knowing that even if he doesn’t do the most extravagant things you still enjoy being with him

He wants you to start enjoying your birthday that is the whole point of what he’s trying to do. If you choose to tell him why you don’t like it he’ll say that’s the stupidest thing he’s ever heard. Because no matter what everyone deserves to have their birthdays celebrated with or without family.

hm for kalim's bday, maybe he wants to hang out with his s/o but they dismiss him everytime and he gets sad and pouty but after class they come to his room with a (coconut) bd cake that they've spent the last days making nd apologize for being distant, they just wanted to keep it a surprise!! they can give him lots of kisses as further apology....

Kalim Al-Asim: 

Kalim wondered if he did something wrong.

You were being unusually tight-lipped that day, hardly talking to him in class (brushing it off as being tired) and not even allowing him to walk you back to your dorm room, insisting he’d just be late to his next class if he did so. He was starting to feel dejected, it was his birthday after all! Shouldn’t you want to spend the day with him? Did he do something to upset you? Were you just having a bad day? He didn’t think you were obligated to spend the entirety of his birthday with him but still… Kalim knew he wouldn’t feel right until he solved the mystery of what happened between the two of you.

Unfortunately, you were very difficult to find.

None of the dorm leaders had seen you around since classes had ended, most of them brushing him off with a shrug or not even bothering to answer his questions before they turned over to fall back asleep. He’d even tried to pester Jamil about finding you, finding that he acted even more tight-lipped than usual when asked about what you should be up to. If Jamil hadn’t noticed anything than Kalim truly felt like he had no hope, letting out a deep sigh and returning to his room; he knew there was supposed to be a feast later on that was being carefully prepared but Kalim wasn’t in the mood to participate. He looked down at his phone with hope in his heart that you would’ve messaged him back but he’s disappointed once more, simply telling Jamil he was going to his room before leaving the area in a clearly dour mood.

Fortunately, he only had to wait another hour before his mood would be cleansed.

“Kalim!”

His ears perked up at your voice and he practically flew off his bed as he heard your hurried footsteps approaching his door, tears gathering in the corner of his eyes as all his emotions bubbled to the surface. He was both happy and angry at you so suddenly popping up, knowing you’d been avoiding and ignoring him all day. Would you have an explanation for what he had done? Would you help him improve and be a better boyfriend to you? He didn’t want to have to go through something like this again as the last thing he ever wanted to do was upset you.

“I-I missed you all day!” Kalim is surprised as he flung open his bedroom door, nearly running directly into you and the cake you held in your arms; you seemed prepared for the sudden movement as you stepped out of the way quickly before he could ruin your hard work, balancing the cake on your one arm while the other reached out to prevent Kalim from falling face first into the floor.

“I’m sorry! This… This took way longer than I thought it would! But happy birthday my dearest, please accept this as an apology!”

So you’d spent the day making a cake for him? As frustrating as it was to think he’d done something wrong to ruin your relationship he couldn’t stay mad for long, especially not when he knew you’d worked extra hard to hide it from someone as pushy as him. You had struggled the entire day with not telling him your plans, asking Jamil to hold onto your phone as you couldn’t take the sad messages Kalim had been sending you. You hoped he would forgive you and from the bright smile on his face you were correct, even if there were a few stray tears that streaked down his face.

“Wanna go enjoy it with everyone else? Birthday boy gets the first slice, of course.”

“I’m so glad nothing is wrong…” Kalim laughed out, rubbing at his eyes; you give him another apologetic look, leaning over to press a kiss to his cheek and giggling as his cheeks darken at the show of affection. “Can’t I have you to myself for a few more minutes?”

“…Of course you can. Let me put the cake down somewhere safe and I’ll show you how sorry I am.”
