Hira has such a poetic soul. In some his behavior would be creepy but it's not for him because he has the heart of a romantic and the soul of a poet. While Kiyoi is passion personified. He's learned to make his outside look normal unless he is with Hira, then Hira gets his different levels of flame.

Even when these two are miscommunicating, you always feel the love. You don't worry about if it's going to work out because these two are truly the other half of each other. And poor confused Hira is such a subby sub. That's not something Kiyoi wants to change. You can tell from the way he smiles when Hira says certain things but he doesn't want Hira to treat him as unattainable.

Reunion! I'm so fucking excited!

Right now the gang seems to have matured. Aw, Hira don't break my heart.

Omg! I love them so much. The growth is tremendous. Hira learning to talk and Kiyoi learning when to give support. The way Kiyoi is growing as a Dom. Reading Hira, knowing what he needs to feel fullfilled. Knowing when to degrade and when to encourage. And fuck the growth in communication! I love it.

Then Hira has to go and prove him right. Yelling sorry at the top of his lungs. I swear, I love him so much your honor.

The way Kiyoi gets excited for Hira. This is when his passion shows. It's so beautiful. Then Hira tells Kiyoi his dream and Kiyoi is just melting because this is all and everything. But Hira is still submissive so he asks if it's okay. That just made it that much more special for me.

"I'm so happy, I'll make it a family heirloom." I swear to all that is unholy Hira, you are killing me. "I'm gonna die. i'm so happy, I could die." 🤣🤣🤣 Fuck me! I love them so much. "How to preserve chocolate." I'm gonna say it again. Heart of a romantic and soul of a poet. And then passion!

My Beautiful (Colorful) Man

Over the course of two seasons and a movie, we have witnessed My Beautiful Man/Utsukushii Kare's Hira and Kiyoi be the most dedicated color-coded boys in love.

Hira is a Blue Boy. He is stable and sincere.

But above all else, he is loyal to his idol, Kiyoi. Obsessively so.

Because even though all of the world sees Kiyoi as an arrogant, sophisticated, and secretive Black Brooder

Hira sees him as a Heavenly Human.

To him, Kiyoi is a god who should be worshiped, so Hira always lowers himself as he believes he could never be equal to such an ethereal being.

But what Hira misses is that Kiyoi is not a god in all white, but a man devoid of color and love.

Hira worships Kiyoi, but Kiyoi just wants Hira to love him, not as a god, but as a man.

So when Hira finally shows Kiyoi that he not only worships him, but loves him, he finally gives Kiyoi some of his color.

And Kiyoi quickly picks it up since all he has ever wanted is for Hira to love him.

Because as much as Hira openly admires Kiyoi, Kiyoi loves Hira immensely more.

Kiyoi's entire world is Hira, and without him, Kiyoi's world would be colorless.

Which is why Kiyoi demands that Hira sees them as equals.

He knows Hira would never cross a line with him, so Kiyoi always crosses the line first, but it's to lift Hira up and make him understand that they both love each other and are both worthy of this love.

Because when this all began, Hira wouldn't even look Kiyoi in the eyes.

But slowly, Kiyoi continued lifting Hira up.

Until finally, Hira rose on his own to meet Kiyoi where he was instead of admiring him at a distance from below.

So even though on the outside, Kiyoi comes across as dark and guarded

When it comes to Hira, the Blue Boy who gave his world color,

Kiyoi really is heaven sent.

Hira gives Kiyoi the support and love he needs. Hira gives Kiyoi color.

And as a result, Kiyoi gives Hira confidence and purpose. Kiyoi gives Hira's life meaning.

Although Hira would gladly give up his life for Kiyoi,

Kiyoi would never let that happen because he needs Hira by his side just as much as his Blue Boy needs him.

At the core of their relationship is a Blue Boy whose love for Kiyoi is deeply rooted and firmly planted in his heart.

And a Heavenly Human whose love changed him from a boy devoid of love into a man with a devoted partner.

Even if Kiyoi has to be the one to cross the line first

Hira will always follow him without question.

Because they would be adrift without the other. They are equal in life and in love. They are both beautiful men whose world is made brighter by the love they have for each other.

Their love is eternal and not even the heavens could contain it.

See how Hira talks. That is a very, very deep subby way of talking. It's just how they think. They worship their Doms and do think of them as a higher being. The problem is that Kiyoi previously acted as a Master but once he developed feelings, he just wants to be Dom. And Hira really doesn't know how to flip that switch. This is not an abnormal scenario. It's a pretty common one among younger people who naturally gravitate towards D/s dynamic.

There have been improvements though. Just look at how when Kiyoi says gross, Hira smiles. It's because he now understands what Kiyoi truly means.

Everything said is correct. The portraits of Kiyoi have a different level of love from Hira.

The way Hira talks about Kiyoi so openly and honestly! It has a beauty of its own. Then the way Kiyoi gets shy. He isn't one used to getting attention and complements from the ones he loves, but he desperately craves it.

The autumn break is over.

Aww... Hira's disappointment at no longer driving Kiyoi. You can feel it from here. Hira has so many analogies running through his head. Completely oblivious to how Kiyoi really feels.

Hira's much quieter but assured voice yelling forever. He was all in when he heard the woman say that it was an expression of wanting Kiyoi to be happy forever. Yet he also sees it as a representation of his own feelings.

Can I bitch slap the classmate for doing this in front of everyone? Then, causing Hira to have to do this in front of everyone. I mean hell, he didn't even let people know that he had tried to do it took, so could he have chill on this as well. I hope that classmate feels like an ass.

Aww... Look at the way Kiyoi is complementing more. Boy is trying.

Such an amazing good Dom moment! Kiyoi really has come so far in terms of communicating and giving Hira what he needs. He is strong and commanding, telling Hira that he will do this again. And guys, this is what Hira needs. See how he responds differently to Kiyoi vs his friends. He needs this. Yet, Kiyoi is also being encouraging.

Ohhhh, his cousin is so freaking smart! She gets it so fast!

Oh! Damn Hira... Learn when to shut up. Fuck, they kill me with all their pain and miscommunication. It's heartbreaking, but so fucking beautiful. I can't wait for the next episode!

contrary to popular belief, I am actually alive.

I wish Tumblr allowed me to edit posts and have all initial reblogs be edited, but alas, here we are.

I know all streaming links of my subtitles have been removed, so I finally gathered Season 1 of Utsukushii Kare available for download.

The reason why I never did this in the first place is plain and simple because I don't like it when people re-translate without credits, and also that I wanted my subtitles to be as easily accessible as possible. That last bit failed miserably, huh :D

A wonderful gorgeous soul has been supporting me regardless of my (in)activity, and I will now be using that support to host the files so that they hopefully will keep being accessible.
