Till then, we celebrate Hindi Diwas every year. Hindi is the most spoken language not only in India but in the whole after English and Chines.

Something I found extremely funny was Bakshi's name.

In Hindi, it means something like "grantor" and is a very common surname too. I don't know if the writers just thought that Bakshi sounded cool as a name or some kind of research was done.

Then I remembered that Ittar ALSO has a meaning in Hindi: perfume. (I'm not sure if it is Hindi or Urdu)

So. Grantor x Perfume, everyone

hindi is sooo cool, my dad (and basically every male member (+ grandma) of my family) speaks it but i can’t </3

me but with my mom’s side!! there’s not many resources for learning non-western languages, so i don’t even know where to start with learnibg how to speak it 😭

i swear the only reason i understand it is because of bollywood, and that too i’m pretty sure it’s only because i can keep track of general context

hi!! er tbh i did not think about this but i’m going to say most likely english just because we can guess from leonardo luna and rin both being fluent in english that sae is as well plus reader’s parents were lowkey written to be stereotypical american tourists (😭) so it would make the most sense for them all to be talking in english!! but i suppose she could also be latina and they might be talking in spanish too idk whatever you prefer LDJDJS it’s rlly up to you!! i’m glad you liked the story though 💖
