despite my general neutrality towards soudam they do share some similar traits (they both have these "personas" that they present themselves with, both dress funny, both wear eyeliner and have daddy issues lol they're both cringe) so you would think i would be more open to shipping just the two of them 😔 too bad they freaking hate each other too much SIGHHH

speaking of dressing funny, i love the visual of seeing a sharp-toothed mechanic who dresses bright and loud, a breeder goth dude who dresses dark and will wear a scarf in 90-degree weather, and then a regular guy in a tie and button up shirt :) like what are THOSE guys up to lmao

whether they're standing, sitting, lying down, it's preferred that hajime remains in between the two of them. it's a bit more civil that way making gundham and kazuichi interact NICELY is like trying to make the same poles of a magnet touch, there's that repel between them. BUT it's similar to having kaz hang out with sonia + gundham. they CAN come together but you still have to force it lol

whenever gundham goes OFF on one of his incomprehensible spiels, hajime is used to it and understands a majority of what he's trying to say but kazuichi's brain still melts a little bit each time he attempts to decipher gundham's ramblings. he doesn't bother half of the time, he'd rather just have haji decipher it for him

Dude I love hinasoudam and the only reason I haven’t written it yet is cus I’m trying not to have too many wips going at once haha

But god do I have so many thoughts about these boys.

First off, I think Hajime and Gundham are the ones most prone to traditional romance. These two have candlelight dinners and bouquets on lock, and you know Gundham writes long sappy poems for his boyfriends that he recites to them while they’re all cuddled up on the couch. Soda tries to do some of the same stuff but usually it turns out just a little off. Like he wants to have a romantic dinner but gets too focused on making sure the table is set just right and ends up burning dinner, so they have candlelight McDonalds instead while Hajime forces Soda to cover his lap with a napkin before he gets ketchup on his nice suit pants and Gundham chuckles at his boyfriends and steals their fries while they’re distracted

Soda dates are usually more things like going to an amusement park or bowling, but Hajime had to put an end to bowling dates because Soda and Gundham got too competitive about it and ended up causing a scene at the bowling alley oops. (The replacement is mini-golf, and they are on thin fucking ice with that too. Hajime is constantly reminding them of that lmao)

Sleeping with the three of them is a mess at first. Soda is a sprawler who moves a lot in his sleep, Gundham likes to hold or be held, and Hajime is a light sleeper who’s constantly being woken up by either Gundham wrapping around him or Soda slapping him in the face 😬 Eventually they figure it out though haha. Turns out once Gundham has a hold on someone in his sleep he will not let them go, so as long as Gundham has Soda restrained Hajime is free to snuggle up with either of them without worrying about being woken up 12 times a night. The most common configuration is Gundham in the middle holding Soda while Hajime spoons him. (Sometimes Hajime wants to be in the middle though, so he suffers through his boyfriends’ habits, and eventually he adjusts enough that he’s only getting woken up 2 or 3 times night, which he can deal with)

When it comes to PDA Gundham is the most hesitant. At first Hajime and Soda decide they won’t do it either because they don’t want Gundham to feel left out, but it just makes Gundham feel guilty. They talk it out and Gundham encourages them to be as affectionate with each other as they want in public because he really doesn’t mind, and after a while they realize Gundham is a big sap and actually really enjoys seeing his boys hold hands and be affectionate with each other, so it pretty much stops being an issue. (Though Gundham still gets embarrassed when he holds their hands in public haha)

Ugh I just really like the way all three of them balance each other out, like Hajime mediating Soda and Gundham’s dumb rivalry, Gundham reigning in Hajime and Soda’s pure dumb-assery, and Soda bringing in some levity when Gundham and Hajime get too in their heads or too serious. Just… I love them 🥺
