Who’s barging into his office uninvited, on his time of leisure?  Why, it is no other than boy wonder oncologist, James Wilson, demanding that he return something of importance to him.

After years of having things “borrowed”, he’ll have to be more specific.

Reclining in his office chair with his feet propped up on the desk, House barely looks up from the news magazine he’s pretending to read.

"Have what? I don’t know what you’re talking about."

"Oh, your cell phone! You could've just said that."

House puts his magazine on his desk, sitting up straight in his chair.

"Well, Jimmy, I have no idea what you're talking about--"

The sound of a ringtone coming from his front jean pocket cuts him off, a very distinct one: your average stock iPhone ringtone, just like the one Wilson's never changed, and much different from the assortment of hard rock songs House handpicks on the regular.

"Haven't seen it."

his hands find their way to his hips at house's insistence on feigning ignorance, and he has to stop himself from gripping the bone tight. giving himself a bruised hipbone would only add to the list of his grievances, and the list is getting pretty long already.

it's not even noon, yet.

‘ my cell phone, house. ’ his tone of voice implies that he's talking to a particularly obstinate child which, in wilson's mind, probably isn't far off the truth right now. ‘ it was on my desk, and then you waltzed into my office, distracted me with whatever you were saying, and when i looked for it just now, it was gone. ’
