February 2020 Monthly News Round-Up

It’s round-up time! Below the read more is a compilation of some notable news stories that we haven’t previously posted about.

This month features many graduations, a European tour and so much more.

AKB48

Member Minami Minegishi hit a new record of 1000 performances held with with performance at AKB48’s theater on the 21st. She will also be graduating from the group on April 2nd [x*] Also, a number of new sub-units were announced, including a unit named TinTlip that features a few Produce48 favorites. [x, x, x, x, x]

ANGERME

Member Haruka Oota has been indefinitely suspended from group activities due to unspecified rule violations. She’s taking the time off to reflect on her actions. [x*]

Burst Girl

Anku left the group on February 28th, to pursue individual activities. [x*]

CROSSNOESIS

The group has announced two new members, Risa and May! [x*]

GANG PARADE

Member Haruna ba Chiin has left the group effective immediately. According to the official statement, she stated that “it would be difficult to work together in the future”. The full statement can be read HERE

HAMIDASYSTEM

The group has announced that the group will disband in March 2020. The producer for the group has retired from production, and the current members will be recruited and re-debut into new groups. [x*]

The group has announced an appearance at Kawaii Kon this year! More details can be found HERE !

Juice=Juice

Member Miyamoto Karin has announced her graduation from the group after completing the group’s tour in June. She’ll focus on solo activities after graduation. [x]

Kamen Joshi

Member Tomoka Igari graduated from the group on February 17th. She has set up a YouTube channel explaining her graduation, and to document her future activities in para-sports! Her video explaining her graduation is linked HERE

LAST IDOL

Yamada Mahiro, from the subunit Someday Somewhere, and Kato Himari, from the 2nd generation, have announced their graduations. Both will be leaving the group at the end of March. [x]

Melon Batake A Go Go

Rukatama, left the group on February 26th. [x*]

MOBIUS

As of February 22nd, the group has officially called it quits. [x*]

One Apo

Producer Mari, has joined the group while the unit after a former member was dismissed in January. Mari is not expected to be permanent as the group is searching for a new member as well. [x*]

Satanic Punch

Member Eirene has left the group this month. [x*]

SKE48

Member Jurina Matsui, has announced her graduation from the group, for October 5th 2020. She’s intending to become a producer in the future. [x*]

Tokimeki Sendenbu

The group will be adding new members after Bambi Fujimoto’s graduation. Additionally the group will be adding “Chou” to the beginning of their name, the new name in full being “Chou Tokimeki Sendenbu”. [x*]

THE BANANA MONKEYS

Member Jaguchi is withdrawing from the group. Her last performance will be March 1st. [x*]

Wonderweed

After their live on the 24th, the group split into two units. [x*]

Tsubasa berusaha menjadi pemain inti terumpet di band sekolah agar bisa mendukung Daisuke, walaupun awalnya Tsubasa belum pede meniup terumpet. Sampai2 saat konser band, Tsubasa tidak meniup terumpetnya
