#wwe#roh#ring of honor#nxt#wwe nxt#nxt stand and deliver#supercard of honor#wrestlemania 40#I'd probably have liked Stand and Deliver more if it weren't for Booker T on commentary#Punk on commentary was so bitter and redundant as well#and Snoop Dogg was fucking baked#also I'd like to point out that I hate the 'pull the ref out the ring' spot - it doesn't stop them from being able to count!#Trips and Steph opening each Mania was a bit narcissistic if TK did it the internet would've ripped him apart even if it were Wembley#nobody wants to admit how big a mark Trips and Steph are for themselves and it shows - literally just jerking themselves off on tv#love Rey but felt Dom and Santos probably should've won though#like ol' Stingray but he kinda lingered too long for Johnny/Dalton#liked Drew's entrance but the Rock took it easily - also that kinda setup should've been for a world title match#Sami and Owens being there for each other backstage before their entrances was nice though#but still a lot of good wrestling out this weekend#Pretty Deadly skit was funny too on Night 1#not the biggest Corbin fan but his tag match was a close second to the NA triple threat#and credit where it's due also to Logan Paul as much as I hate him actually did some wrestling this time#Athena/Shida was a close second against Eddie/Mark too - same with Lee/Fletcher#Kyle just beats out Sami and Dijak imo but they all wrestled their butts off#should've put money on Drew winning then Punk attacking leading to a Priest cash in though#I'd be down for a R-KO tag run though - also a Mina vs Toni match to put Mariah in the middle#but congrats Cody for winning the world title that didn't exist when Dusty was robbed of winning the world title against Flair by count out#get yourself someone who loves you as much as WWE loves a spear through the barricade

"You look stunning babes!" Tolami practically shrieked as your approached the cluster of WAGs, her eyes sparkling with excitement. The group of stylish women, all dressed to the nines in various shades of red and white to support the team, were huddled together, greeting each other after several months away at their partners' respective clubs. You had gone all out for today's match, your nails painted in the team's colors and your hair styled in perfectly poised waves that highlighted your cheekbones and the delicate gold hoops that danced against your neck.
"Thanks, love," you replied with a warm smile, giving your friend a quick hug. "I couldn't be caught looking anything less than leng next to you."
You glanced around the exclusive VIP area, your eyes scanning the pitch where the players were beginning their warm-ups. The electric atmosphere of the stadium was palpable, the throb of excitement pulsing through the air. The scent of freshly cut grass and the distant murmur of the crowd grew louder as you and Tolami took their seats.
During the match, your eyes never left Jude. His agility and precision on the pitch were mesmerizing, and you couldn't help but feel a swell of pride watching him command the midfield. Each time he looked up at your section, his gaze searching for yours, you felt a flutter in your stomach. When he scored the game's second goal with a powerful strike from just outside the box, the women erupted in cheers, and you were on your feet, your hands covering your mouth in shock and delight.
After the final whistle, the team huddled together, their faces a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration. The crowd's roar was deafening as the players began to make their way towards the tunnel, and your heart raced in anticipation. He raised his hand up, gesturing for you to wait, and you nodded, your cheeks heating up under the ooh's of the other girls.
Once the team had disappeared into the depths of the stadium, you made your way down to the VIP lounge. The thrill of victory still hung in the air, mingling with the faint scent of sweat and the tang of energy drinks. You chatted idly with Tolami and Megan as you waited for the players to emerge from the locker room, your laughter echoing off the walls. When Jude finally appeared, Trent Alexander-Arnold by his side, your shoulder relaxed in relief.
"Y/N," the Liverpool man called out to you, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "How's Jude holding up with that No Nut November bet? You keeping him honest, yeah?"
You rolled your eyes, unable to suppress a sigh at the juvenile banter that was a staple of the footballers' friendship. "Unfortunately, he's been a saint."
"It's only a matter of time before Trent gives up," Jude said, his own grin spreading as he approached the group of you. "Don't jinx it."
You playfully swiped at him, your eyes lighting up. "You know I believe in you."
Jude leaned down to kiss your cheek. "Thanks for the vote of confidence," he murmured, his voice low and teasing.
As the two of you walked out of the stadium, the cool evening air a welcome contrast to the heat of the game, Jude's hand found yours, his grip firm and possessive. The short drive to your flat seemed to take forever, the silence between you charged with unspoken thoughts. The streets of London were alive with fans, their cheers and chants a distant backdrop to your own private world.
Once inside, you slipped out of your shoes with a sigh of relief, and Jude's eyes followed your every move. He couldn't take his gaze off the England crest and his name emblazoned on the back of your shirt.
"You know, it's weird," he began, his voice a little rough. "Seeing you with my name on your back... it's like you're mine. Like, really mine."
You turned to face him, a smirk playing on your lips. "Is that all it takes to make me yours?"
Jude took a step closer, his eyes darkening. "You know it's more than that, babe." He reached out, his fingers tracing the letters of his surname on the fabric of your shirt. "But seeing you wear this, supporting me with my name on your back, it just makes me want to show you off."
You felt a thrill run through you at his words. You stepped closer, looking up at him with a mischievous glint in your eyes. "What's stopping you, Bellingham?"
Jude didn't need any further encouragement. He pulled you into his arms, kissing you with a hunger that surprised you. His hands roamed over your body, his fingers playing with the hem of your shirt. You could feel his heart racing against your chest, the warmth of his skin melting through the cool material of the shirt. You stumbled into the bedroom, your kisses growing more urgent as you went.
You broke away, your breathing heavy, and looked at him with a glint of challenge in your eyes. "You know, if you want to keep that bet with Trent..."
Jude's smoldering gaze stuck to your face as he peeled the shirt over your head, revealing the lacy lingerie you had chosen just in case. "We don't have to tell him," he murmured against your neck, his teeth grazing your skin lightly as his voice rumbled deliciously down your spine.
With a laugh that was half moan, you stepped away from him, slipping out of your jeans. "You're so full of it," you said, your voice breathless with excitement. "You can't just cheat your way out of a bet. What's the point?"
Jude's eyes never left yours as he shed his own clothes, his eyes dark with desire. "Who said anything about cheating?" he murmured, advancing on you with a predatory grace. "I'm just saying, a man's got needs, and you're looking too good. Who am I to resist what's mine?"
You felt a shiver of excitement run down your spine as Jude reached out, his fingertips tracing the edge of your bra. The anticipation was almost too much to bear, the air between the two of you crackling with sexual tension. "You're insatiable," you whispered, your voice a little shaky.
"Just for you," Jude said, his voice a gruff promise. He cupped your face in his hands, his thumbs brushing over your cheekbones as he kissed you again, deep and demanding. His touch was possessive, leaving no doubt in your mind that he meant every word. Your own hands roamed over his muscular chest, nails scraping lightly against his skin.
With a growl, he picked you up, carrying you to the bed as if you weighed nothing at all. You wrapped your legs around his waist, your body fitting against his like they were two pieces of a puzzle. The bedroom was a blur of movement as you tumbled onto the bed, the soft sheets contrasting with the hardness of his body. Jude's kisses grew more insistent, his tongue exploring the depths of your mouth as his hands moved to the clasp of your bra.
The sound of the fabric giving way was lost in your muffled moans. His thumbs grazed your nipples, sending a jolt of pleasure through your body. You arched into his touch, your skin flushing with desire. "Jude," you gasped, your voice a whimper of need. He broke the kiss, his eyes raking over your exposed chest with a look that seemed to blister your skin.
Without wasting a moment, Jude's mouth found your breasts, his teeth grazing the sensitive peaks before his tongue swirled around them. Your breath hitched, your fingernails digging into his back as the sensation washed over you. "Jude, more, please," you begged, your voice a throaty whisper. Jude's mouth continued its movements as he complied, his teeth tugging gently before his mouth closed around your nipple, suckling with a fervor that had your back arching off the bed.
Jude's hands roamed your body, his thumbs dipping into your waistband to tease the sensitive flesh just above your hips. Your hands weren't idle either, exploring the planes of his back, your nails scraping against the firm muscles as you pulled him closer.
With a sudden jolt of energy, you rolled the two of you over so you were on top, straddling him. "My turn," you whispered, your eyes sparkling with arousal. Your fingers traced the line of his jaw before you leaned down to kiss him, your teeth grazing his bottom lip before your tongue darted out to taste him. His hands moved to your hips, his grip tightening as you began to rock against him, feeling his length grow beneath you.
Jude's breath hitched as you kissed along his neck, your teeth scraping the sensitive skin just enough to make him shiver. He could feel the heat building between you two, the need growing more intense with every passing moment. "Serena," he groaned, his voice thick with want.
With a wicked smile, you slid off him, your eyes studying his face as you reached for his boxers. You took your time, enjoying the way his body reacted to your every touch. Finally, you pulled them down, revealing his hard length. You took him in your hand, stroking him gently, watching his reaction with a sense of power that thrilled you to the core.
Jude's eyes rolled back, his hips bucking upward as you touched him. "Fuck," he muttered, his hand coming up to cover yours, guiding your movements. "You're killing me, babe."
Your smile grew wider as you leaned into him, your breath hot against his skin. "Good things come to those who wait," you sang under your breath, your teeth grazing his earlobe. You kissed a trail down his chest, your tongue tracing the lines of his abs before finally reaching his cock. You took him into your mouth, the velvet heat of your lips wrapping around him, your tongue swirling in a way that made him groan.
His hands tangled in your hair as you took him deeper, your movements deliberate and teasing. He could feel the tension in his body winding tighter and tighter, the urge to push you down and fuck you senseless growing stronger with every passing second. "Babe, hold on," he ground out, his voice tight with restraint. "Sit on my face, 69. Wanna taste you."
With a light giggle, you complied, straddling his head. The scent of your arousal filled the room, making his mouth water as his tongue found your clit. You gasped, your movements faltering as you focused on the delicious sensation of his mouth on you. Your hand stroked him in time with his tongue, the sound of your moans mixing with the wetness of your desire.
Your body began to tense, your movements growing more frantic as you felt the orgasm building within you. Jude's hands gripped your thighs, holding you in place as he continued to devour you, his tongue flicking and swirling in a pattern that had you seeing stars. "Oh god," you whispered, your voice a hoarse plea.
Jude felt your thighs tighten around his head, your body shaking with the beginnings of climax. With a triumphant groan, he pushed his tongue deeper, feeling your muscles spasm as you came. Your hips rocked against his face, your tongue still working his cock. The sensation was overwhelming, and with a final, desperate stroke, he too reached the edge, his body tensing as he released into your mouth.
You sat up, swiping your tongue across your lips, a smug smile playing on your face as you turned to face your boyfriend. Jude all but whimpered as your mouth fell open to reveal you had swallowed him completely. With a giggle, you watched as Jude lay there, his chest heaving, his eyes closed in bliss.
"All this over a shirt?" you teased, your voice filled with a mix of satisfaction and amusement.
"It's not just the shirt," he murmured, his eyes finally opening to meet yours. "It's knowing that you're mine, that you're supporting me in every way possible." He reached up, his fingers tracing the outline of your cheek, his thumb brushing over your bottom lip. "That I'm the one who gets to take you home after games like this."
The words sent a thrill through you, and you leaned down to kiss him deeply, tasting yourself on his lips. Jude's arms wrapped around you, pulling you closer, his hands roaming over your body in a silent show of strength and possession.
Your bodies were slick with sweat, your hearts pounding in unison as you broke away, panting for air. Jude rolled you over again, his muscles flexing as he positioned himself above you, his cock still hard and demanding. "Round two?" he asked, his voice a seductive purr.
Your eyes widened, your chest heaving with the aftershocks of pleasure. "You're unbelievable," you whispered, but you didn't protest as he nudged your thighs apart. Jude's gaze was intense, his eyes dark with lust as he settled between your legs, his cock pressing against your entrance. You felt the heat of him, the promise of more pleasure, and you wrapped your legs around his waist, urging him closer.

"Good morning darling," George greeted you just as you opened your eyes. He stood looking down at you, already fully dressed in his kit. "I've got to go to breakfast but I'll see you before we leave," he said before pressing a kiss to your forehead, "love you."
You spent your morning slowly getting ready and he returned to your room just as you finished. You smiled as he walked towards you, arms extended for a hug. "Good luck baby. You'll be fine... don't stress too much," you whispered reassuringly before he hugged you tighter and then pulled back.
He let out a deep breath. "I'm shitting myself." You chuckled quietly. "I'm sure you won't be on long enough to fuck it up anyway," you joked. He playfully squeezed your hip. "Go and enjoy it. I'll see you afterwards. I love you," you spoke softly. He nodded then turned to leave, though he stopped himself, gave you a long kiss and only then did he leave.

"Oh my god. There he is!" You shouted -a little louder than you'd meant to- as you spotted George on the field, warming up with the rest of the sidemen team. Max perked up next to you and began filming him. You looked at the zoomed in screen and laughed loudly when you saw the picture he'd just taken. "That's hilarious, please send it to me."

George wasn't in the starting eleven for the game, but after a little while he was finally subbed in. You, Max, the two Arthur's, Bach and every fan girl in the stadium cheered when his name was called on the intercom.
You watched intently as the game progressed. It was a little bit hard to fully keep up with what was happening, since you were so high up, but your eyes just followed the brown, curly mullet.
When it reached half time everyone that was in one of the friends and family boxes headed inside to get some food. You were sat opposite max when you received a message from George, "everything good? x" You smiled slightly at your phone. "Just enjoying the free food. You're doing so well, everyone's cheering you on babe! xx" you replied swiftly.

After half time, the game continued. Goal after goal was scored and it was unbelievably close. Everyone was on the edge of their seats. Just as it was nearing the end the score was even on eight all.
Tobi took a kick from the corner and then just as you thought it was going in George followed and kicked it into the net. "Ahh!" You all stood and cheered, your hand covering your mouth in shock.
You watched the screen to see the close up video of him celebrating, Chris and Will hugging him as well, even know they were on the opposite team. You were close to tears seeing how happy he looked. He'd been so nervous so you were glad he got his moment.

Unfortunately Theo scored just before the game finished, equalising. It went to penalties and ultimately the sidemen's team lost, though it was all for charity and you weren't really bothered about the final result since you just wanted to see your boyfriend.

You didn't see George after the game since he went back on the team bus with the rest of the players and you got a taxi to the after party with the Arthur's, Bach and Liv so you only got to see him once you were both back at the hotel.
When you finally saw the players walking through the doors your eyes searched the crowd of black and red kits until you saw him. A bright smile spread across the both of your faces when your eyes met.
The minute he reached you he flung his arms around you and sighed into your shoulder. "You were incredible George," you whispered. "That's made my year," he replied gently. You pulled back and kissed him, which is something you don't do often since nether of you are big on pda but it just felt right.

The rest of the night was spent celebrating and getting slightly pissed. As soon as you and George got back to your room and your heads hit the pillows you fell straight asleep, back against his chest; his arm wrapped around your middle while the both of you soundly slept, after one of the best days ever.

number one fan | george clarke
summary; yn is the biggest supporter at wembley stadium for george during his appearance at the sidemen charity match.
word count; 2.9k
** warnings; slight mention of sex but just pure, sickening fluff. **
just a little something quick, short and sweet to celebrate the charity match - the atmosphere was unreal and i'm so glad to say i was there to witness george scoring his goal at wembley. the best day of my life and i would do it all over again. <33 (i am going to include the day of the charity match in my current WIP fic - bestfriend!george/boyfriend!arthur - so i will go into more detail about this day in that!). let me know what you think. enjoy! x
The atmosphere of Wembley Stadium felt suffocating to YN.
But it was a good kind of suffocating if the word ‘suffocating’ had a positive connotation to it.
It was electric, filled with so much anticipation, filled with bubbling excitement as people gathered from all over the country, with some travelling from all over the world, to support their favourite content creators in something that would be classed as historic for those in the career path of social media.
The loudness and the intensity of an almost full stadium, as the minutes on the screens ticked by till kick-off, was slightly overwhelming for her and she could feel the familiar feeling of nerves bubbling low in her belly and it felt a little strange for her to have been there for a football match as opposed to a concert. Because the last time she had been there was for a Harry Styles concert during a London heatwave yet, this time, it was a whole different experience. This was Wembley Stadium, the home of English football, and she was eager to experience the unique vibe it offered for the next three hours, ready to soak in every moment.
It felt even stranger for her to have been there for someone she knew personally. The same someone she got to go home with afterwards and the same someone who (almost) everyone in the stadium had come to see and it gave her a feeling of superiority because she was the lucky one who got to kiss him once she saw him after, who got to take him home, who got to give him a massage as he laid in bed, who got to support him and be known as his number one supporter… she was one step ahead of everyone who had come to see him that day and, deep down, she relished in that feeling.
She’d travelled in with the two Arthur’s, since they were coming from the same part of London together and she didn’t want to travel on her own whilst George travelled in on a coach-load of Youtubers prepped in their kits for the day, feeling at ease knowing she could follow them and have her nerves calmed because they’d make sure to keep her mind free of any panic and anxiety she had about the day. Hearing their nonsense on the tube as they nattered about upcoming Youtube video ideas they were looking forward to filming, chiming in on how she really wanted to participate in a ‘Platform Roulette’ whenever they were next planning one and insisting she’d be able to keep up with the rate they drank at, taking pictures and videos of their day so she could document it all on TikTok and so George could use it in a video because, no doubt, he was going to put out a little something to show his gratitude to the opportunity he was given.
As each seat gained an occupant around her, her eyes dragged slowly from row to row as seats were filling up and she still couldn’t comprehend how she was stood in a box, amongst everyone else’s friends and family as they gathered for the huge event, ready to watch her boyfriend run the length of the pitch for under ninety minutes. Behind her, she was graced with Emily and her partner as well as George’s mum and dad, and she felt a lot more relaxed knowing they felt the same way she did; they were all in this together.
“Say hello to TikTok, lovely,” Emily insisted, holding out her phone in YN’s direction so she could wave and give the camera a shy smile and she graciously obliged, saying the sweetest ‘hello’ before Emily saved the video and put her phone back into her pocket, “I’m taking a page out of George’s book today and filming a little ‘day in the life of watching my baby brother play at Wembley’ and we all know the girlies want to see you.”
“I’m sure they only want to see George,” YN laughed, pushing her sunglasses up the bridge of her nose and situating herself a little more comfortably in her chair so she could still have a face-to-face conversation with George’s family but still have an eye on the pitch as they watched the players warm-up on the grass, and Emily shook her head, “I tend not to look at comments from people, really.”
“Well, you should have a little nosey look every now and then. They love you and George together,” she claimed and YN’s cheeks felt like they were hotting up, “besides, I’d have a few choice words for them if they ever choose to upset you. George can handle himself but I’ve got your back,” she gave YN’s cheeks a little pinch with her fingers and grinned at her playfully, “we love you, George loves you, that’s all that matters right?”
YN nodded shyly.
The way his family had welcomed her in, it felt so wholesome in her eyes. How they made her feel part of the family from the moment he took her back to Bristol for a weekend, how they showed interest in her life and asked her questions about her and her own family, how they gave her so much love for someone they’d only just met. Being sat with them, during a milestone that was huge for George and his career, made her feel so warm on the inside.
“Speaking of George,” YN took a glance across to where he was performing the warm-up in front of the crowd before she looked back to his sister,, “I can’t believe we’re here for him.”
“I remember the day he phoned us up and asked us if we wanted to come and watch,” George’s mum chimed in, looking up from her phone, momentarily taking a break from scrolling through some of the pictures she’d already taken that day, “I think his dad nearly had a heart attack when he mentioned he was playing on this pitch.”
“It’s not every day that your son says he’s playing football at a sold-out Wembley stadium,” his dad exclaimed, completely decked out in merchandise that made YN want to cry over because he looked so supportive, “there wasn’t a chance we were missing this.”
YN understood the significance of how much the opportunity meant to George.
The night before, as they bid farewell to each other, she could sense his anxiety and apprehension. The loving embrace they shared in the entryway of her flat, with his bag packed at their feet, was a poignant moment for both of them. George was visibly nervous and nauseous, knowing he would soon be standing on a stage in front of ninety-thousand people, all gathered for a noble cause. Despite his usual outward display of confidence, the jokes he’d make to bring lightheartedness to any room he was in, George confided in YN about his inner turmoil.
He admitted to shedding tears, overwhelmed by the pressure to perform well and the fear of not measuring up to the expectations of his audience and he likened his feelings to that of 'imposter syndrome', as he prepared to share the stage with the very YouTubers he had idolized in his youth.
At that moment, all George longed for was YN's presence and her growing support. He found solace in her comforting embrace, knowing that her unwavering belief in him would help him overcome his fears and insecurities. As they parted ways that night, YN remained a source of strength and reassurance for George, providing him with the courage he needed to face the challenges that lay ahead.
---
“I just wish you could come with me tonight,” he pouted, eyes glossed over with tears and YN’s heart broke as he stood before her. He looked like a child who was scared to partake in the school play. “I know it’s silly to get so emotional but, I just want to live this moment with you. You’ve been by my side since the beginning of all of this that’s happening in my life. You’ve never let me do things alone, you’ve always held my hand, you’ve always made sure you were there for me.”
“It’s only one night,” she cooed softly, running a hand through his hair and letting her fingers curl in the curls at the back of his head, “I’ll see you in less than 12 hours, you silly boy.”
“I know but I want to live in the moment with you,” he sighed heavily and rolled his head back, his Adam’s apple bobbing in his throat as he took an aching swallow, “and I feel so out of place there. Training today, I was amongst the likes of MrBeast and Logan Paul. Speed, as well. It just doesn’t feel right. It feels like I’m checking off a box and that’s the worst way to look at it because they’re my friends.”
“You deserve all of the successes that happen to you, George,” she reminded him and he brought his head back to look at her, her hands cupping his face and he felt comfort in how soft her thumbs felt as they dragged across his cheeks and collected the moisture of his emotions from his skin, “I’m so proud of you, I love you, and I can’t wait to be there tomorrow. Cheering you on with your family, with your friends, with all those fans of yours who have come to watch as you live out your dream.”
“Don’t forget to wear the shirt, will you?”
“Of course not,” she shook her head softly. Her Sidemen FC match shirt, with ‘Clarkey’ written across the back of her shoulders and the number ‘8’ embellished underneath it, was folded up neatly with the rest of her outfit - ripped and baggy jeans and one of George’s zip-up hoodies that she thought would act as some good luck - and she truly felt like she was a WAG and she wondered if this was how Talia, Freya and Faith felt before the first Sidemen match they ever attended. “I’m going to wear it with pride. I don’t think I’ll take it off for a while.”
“What if I take it off for you?”
“Only if you score,” she grinned at him with a glint of cheekiness in her eyes and it was enough to bring a wide, face-splitting grin to his mouth, “seriously. If you score, you can do whatever you want with me when we get back home.”
---
Eighty-eight minutes.
There were two minutes left in the game, two minutes left before chaos ensued as they rushed to get the winner’s podium set up, two minutes left for one of them to gain the winning coal to keep it from a tied eight-all score at the end. To her right was ArthurTV, visibly nervous whilst he chewed on his nails as his knee bounced up and down and occasionally bumped against hers, and to her left was Max, who was oblivious to the heightened atmosphere but had his eyes glued to the players on the pitch and she was certain he was looking for George but, then again, so was she and about half of the fans in Wembley Stadium.
As the clock ticked down, the anticipation grew palpable, each second feeling like an eternity. The stakes were high, and the pressure was mounting for the players on the field. The outcome of the game would soon be decided, and the tension in the stadium was almost tangible.
A corner kick from Tobi, a poor touch from AngryGinge, and suddenly the stadium erupted into cheers and it took YN a brief moment to realise just who was on the other end of Tobi’s cross into the box.
“Oh, my god!”
Arthur turned to YN as everyone around them stood to their feet with their arms punching the air in excitement as they celebrated the ball going into the back of the net, grabbing her shoulders and giving her an enthusiastic shake whilst her own hands came up to cover her mouth in pure shock, her eyes darting from Arthur’s face to the pitch so she could find George to the screen that showed the moment her boyfriend got the final toe-poke touch of the ball as it crossed the line. A desperate lunge to make sure it didn’t skim the post, to make sure they got the winning goal, to make sure it was nestled deeply into the net as confirmation he’d won the game for Sidemen FC with their nine goals to the AllStars’ eight goals.
“As if!”
She couldn’t contain the smile that burst from her lips, her vision landing on George as players in all black had surrounded him as they celebrated together, watching as Chris and Will went over to give him a celebratory hug before they joined the rest of their team before they restarted the game. The way he sauntered around the grass with confidence in every step he took, his eyes scanning the crowd to see if he could find where YN was sitting, giving her a wave and blowing a kiss in her direction once he saw her in the far distance.
“If he’s just won that for the Sidemen, my god,” Arthur sat back down in his seat, adjusting the sunglasses on the bridge of his nose, “he will not shut up about this now, you realise that?”
“I know,” YN grinned proudly, clapping her hands together and letting them fall to her lap, “but I’m okay with that. I’m so okay with that.”
But it wasn’t meant to be.
Theo brought the ball down in the box at the opposite end and slotted it into the back of the net for his Wembley hattrick, which YN couldn’t fault his incredible attempt and considered him the player most worthy to get the only hattrick of the day, but she felt the knot in her stomach tighten at how George didn’t quite become the hero of the game but still managed to make his mark.
---
“Well, well, well.”
She turned on her heels, a bottle of beer held tightly in her hands, and she took in George’s appearance - freshly washed hair that had become fluffy and soft now it had naturally dried, the smell of his shower gel and an even stronger smell of his aftershave that he’d spritzed over himself wafted up her nose and she just wanted to devour him in kisses and take him home so she could have him all to herself. He dropped his sports bag down by the table that his family were situated at, using his foot to slide it underneath so it was out of sight for everyone and not so much of a tripping hazard to those in the room, and she placed her drink down on the tabletop so she could wrap her arms around him in a tight hug. His arms sliding around her waist and he held her tightly to his front, hiding his face in the crook of her neck and goosebumps rose upon her skin at the way his moustache and the prickles of his beard tickled at her bare skin.
“I guess I’m taking this off tonight,” he whispered softly into her ear whilst his fingers toyed with the material of the shirt tucked into her jeans yet swallowing her upper body, “did we shake on that? You’re not going back on your word, are you?”
“I was going to let you anyway,” she responded, hands combing through the mullet he had almost perfected and he lifted his head from her neck to take in his surroundings, “you did so good today. I’m so incredibly proud of you.”
The smile on his face seemed permanent.
He could see his dad, pushing through the crowd, with bottles of beer in his hands as he made his way back to their table. He could hear his mum behind him as she ushered his sister and her partner to get ready to bombard him with hugs and kisses as they professed their pride and their love for him. He could see his friends all huddled together in different corners of the room, how all their families were gathered in this space and talking amongst themselves, photos being snapped and vlogs being filmed from all over the place that he’d definitely be showing his face in.
Yet all his mind would focus on, at that moment, was YN.
“You can go and wander around, you know? We’ll still be here if you want to go and talk to people,” YN insisted, looking up at him as he scanned the room, his arm tightening around her waist as he pulled her closer to his side, “we don’t mind if you do.”
“No,” he shook his head, looking down at her and pressing a kiss to her forehead, “I spent all day with these guys. I want to savour this moment with you.”
“You’re such a softie,” she laughed, sliding her arm around his middle and giving his hip a squeeze, “I still can’t believe you scored a goal out there today.”
“I knew what was on the line tonight,” he said coolly with a smirk twitching at his lips, and he took a swig of the beer from the bottle his dad had handed him to hide the cocky look that pieced his features together in a lustful way, his eyes turning a devilishly darker shade than normal, “what do say about us leaving early?”
“You don’t want to go out and celebrate with everyone else?”
“Not when we’ve got some celebrating of our own to do.”

Veiled Emotions | Lando Norris

Part 1 | (Part 2)
Pairings: Lando Norris x BFF!Female Reader
Word Count: 2.8K
Warnings: Sexual tension | Slow Burn
A/N: Hello my lovelies. Apologies for the delay, I had a busy week and it was my birthday, so consider this a gift from me to you guys. I got a bit carried away, so I hope you loves enjoy .xx
(Y/F/N) - Your Friend’s Name
It was the next morning, and thankfully (Y/F/N) let me sleep in, and didn’t bother me to wake up early. I woke up in a pretty good mood until I turned to the side table and looked at my lockscreen to see I was flooded with message notifications from Lando, as well as a number of DMs reacting to my story last night.
I opened Lando’s messages first - it was just good morning texts and a spam of him saying my name to wake me up. However his last message said ‘(Y/N/N) I’m coming home later today. Are you busy today ? Call me when you see this ❤️’. Hmm I wonder what it’s about…
Before replying back I went through a few of my Instagram DMs. Some asking if it’s Lando, others asking for a better soft launch, though one DM caught my eye from João, the last person I would ever expect a DM from.
João
Hey beautiful… I know this seems crazy but would love to get to know you better. How about tonight after my match ?
Y/N
Hii ! We just started following each other… eager to see me already ? lol just playing. Sure ☺️
João
Was not expecting that to work 😂 but I’m glad it did. Are you free to come to my match at 6 ? Its at Wembley 👀
I yelled for (Y/F/N) and luckily she was in the kitchen which isn’t far from my room, “Girl something major just happened!” I said as I sat up against the headboard. “Omg is it Lando ?” She asked as she jumped in the bed beside me. “Yes and no, well not right now. So you wouldn’t believe this but João just DMed me asking if-“
“Babe slow it down and reverse. Did you just say João DMed you ? AND YOU ARE THROWING THAT OUT SO CASUALLY ?” She screamed in shock. “Erm okay sorry I guess for not making it a big deal ? Anywho, he wants to go out to tonight after-“ “YES !” She cut me off. “I didn’t finish my sentence” I huffed. “I don’t care, you’re going to whatever he invited you for” she smiled. “Well he first said to meet after his match, and now he’s inviting me to his match as well” I held my head in my hands. “I wish I had your kind of problems. A footballer and a f1 driver fighting for you ? The potential chance you have of being a football or f1 wag is crazy !” she squealed as she clapped her hands.
“I take it that I say yes to both ?” I raised a brow. “Absolutely !” She said in an obvious tone.“But I don’t know how I feel about going. I mean this is all literally happening bc his ex is dating my Lando” I sighed. “My ?” She teased with a smirk. “Oh my god what am I even saying” I said in shock as I shook my head. “This boy is making me lose my mind” I groaned in frustration.
“Okay jokes aside..I understand where you’re coming from. We don’t know what his intentions are and I get that you may feel uncomfortable. Why don’t you ask him if a friend can come with for the match so you have company” she suggested. “I can’t tell if you’re being helpful or if this is an excuse to come with me to a football match” I furrowed my brows. “Well mainly the first one but I won’t deny the second one” she pursed her lips. “I see how it is, oh well either way I’m not planning to go to this match alone. I’m just going to ask him if you can come with” I said as I opened the DM once again.
Y/N
I’ve never been, so it sounds like fun, do you mind if I bring a friend with ? 😊
João
Don’t mind at all. Whatever you say 😉 Will send you a pass and details in a few for the 2 of you. Look forward to seeing you.
Y/N
Perfect ! Thank you so much. See you later 🥰
“Okay done !” I smiled as I closed the app. “Great, now what about Lando ?” She asked curiously. “Oh yeah..about him-“ I started to laugh nervously. “Oh no. What now ?” She crossed her arms over. “So uhm, he’s coming back home today and well, he asked me to call him when I saw his message” I shrugged casually. “Did you call him ?” She raised a brow. “No ?” I furrowed my brows. “Well what the heck are you waiting for ! Call him right now because I wanna hear this” she yelled. “Okay fine jeez” I scrolled for his name and ringed him.
I cleared my throat whilst it was ringing, “Hey you’re finally up” he greeted. “Yeah I just saw your message. What’s up ?” my gaze lingered to (Y/F/N). “Well I’m flying back in a few hours..thought we should meet up, that’s if you’re free” he said hopeful. “Why does he sound shy ?” (Y/F/N) whispered. “Shh- Uhm yeah unfortunately I’m busy today Lan, maybe tomorrow ?” I pressed my lips together. “Oh I see..what are your plans ?” He asked. “Well João wanted me at his match today, and we’re going out after, so I have no idea what time I’ll be back.”
“Hmm wow…I take it that you’re going for the Euros then ?” He asked. “Yepp that’s right” I replied. “Great, then I’ll see you later. Bye !” His tone changed. “Byeee” I said lastly as I ended the call. “Did you hear correctly ?” (Y/F/N) asked confused. “What ?” I asked even more baffled than she is. “He said he’ll see you later” she said. “Ohh, well maybe he means before we leave for the match” I suggested. “Oh yeah you got a point” she dropped the subject as our focus was on having brunch.
After brunch and trying to kill some time, I had a shower and started to hunt for an outfit. Thank god for (Y/F/N) as she helped me narrow down my options. The look we’re going for is I’m an up-and-coming wag, but I’m mainly just a friend.
As we were about to leave, I failed to mention that João sent a driver to escort us to the stadium. Nice touch. (Y/F/N) squealed and pinched me when she saw the car. “Girlll you can have Lando, I’ll take him” I stifled a laugh and tried to hush her before the driver heard us.
Upon our arrival at the stadium, we were then escorted by a team member named, Anna. She was really sweet, as she took her time to give us a tour. I was not expecting her to actually take us to the dressing rooms where I was tapped on the shoulder by João. “Hello” he said softly. “Hi omg we finally meet” I smiled as we then exchanged a hug. “About time” he nervously chuckled. “Yeah thank you again for inviting us” (Y/F/N) butted in as she started taking to him.
“Well thank you for accepting my invite. I hope you guys enjoy the match, and you’ll be cheering me on” he winked. “Of course !” (Y/F/N) smiled at him. “Sorry to leave so suddenly, I have a team meeting. See you later yeah ?” He said as he started walking backwards. “Yepp” “Goodluck for today’s match” (Y/F/N) added. He waved us off before he finally left. I gave her a side eye before Anna guided us to our seats and bid goodbye.
The stadium was full to capacity at this point, however, the match was only about to start in 15 minutes. I thought the view from the box would be a great time to post, but yet again, the fans beat me to it.
f1gossipgirl just added to their story

“I swear this girl doesn’t rest” I giggled as I liked the stories. “You look insane, bestie” (Y/F/N) said as she looked over my shoulder. As I continued to go through the stories, my jaw dropped at the caption.
f1gossipgirl just added to their story

“Ain’t no frikken way” I said in shock. “Bitch what the hell. Where is he ?” (Y/F/N) started to frantically look around us. As if on queue, the camera pans to Lando, and his face appears on the big screen. “Oh. My. God” we said simultaneously. “Call him right now” I huffed. “Is that a good idea though ?” Before she could reply, she grabbed my phone and dialled his number. “Are you insane ?” I said as she then shoved my phone to my ear. “Hey love” he answered.
“Hey you…so like when did you plan on telling me you’re here as well ?” I know him so well that I could tell he’s smiling on the other side, he’s enjoying this a little too much. “Well, I did tell you that I’ll see you later” he half laughed. “Are you stalking me ?” I asked playfully. “No” he scoffed. “Defensive… so you are stalking me” I giggled. “No no I mean I was actually invited, in fact I was going to bring you with me but someone beat me to it” he huffed. “Hmm okay keep telling yourself that” I smiled.
“Where are you anyway ? Why don’t you come here and give me company ?” He suggested. “I’m with (Y/F/N), I can’t leave her alone” she then shoved my shoulder. “I’m not a child, you can leave me alone !” she said lowly. “That’s fine, she can take the seat and you can sit on my lap.” Is he flirting with me ? I guess so considering how (Y/F/N) started giggling. “Haha very funny. I don’t think your girlfriend would like that”
“Girlfriend ? Where did you hear this ?” He asked. “Okay just forget about it, I’ll see you later. Byeeee” I said as I ended the call.
The match ended at 93 minutes with the score being 2-0 - Portugal had won, which is great but disappointing to see England lose.
(Y/F/N) and I stayed in place as everyone was leaving. “Can I escort you ladies to a private room so you can get comfortable until João is back ?” Anna suggested. “Yeah sure” (Y/F/N) replied. I followed behind their lead whilst I scrolled through my phone. “Avoiding me, love.” I looked up and I was met by Lando. “Oh hey you” I smiled. “Where are you off to ?” He eagerly asked. “Well, I’m following (Y/F/N) and Anna, she’s escorting us to a private room until João is done, but I’ll see you around” I quickly gave him a smile as I tried to walk past him. He grabbed my hand and pulled me back.
“Wait. I feel like I don’t see you anymore these days” he pouted. “I could say the same for you. You’re in a relationship and now well so am I” I lied as I attempted again to walk past him. He yet again successfully pulls me back. “Can we just talk…alone and clear some things… please” he asked sincerely. I glanced over to (Y/F/N) and she nodded towards Lando, hinting I should go with him. “Okay fine.” I walked over to hug (Y/F/N), “Don’t worry I’ll cover for you” she whispered. “Thanks, I owe you” I said back softly. “Anna, thank you for helping this evening. If you’ll excuse me, I unfortunately have to go, but (Y/F/N) is here to accompany João” I smiled at her. She nodded with a smile.
I walked back over to Lando, “After you” he smirked as he stood aside for me to walk ahead. Once we were at the parking, he walked ahead of me to his McLaren as he opened the passenger door for me. “Have I told you how beautiful you look today ?” He asked as he leaned against the door. “No, but thank you” I gave him a small smile as he sat in the driver's seat.
“So I think let’s clear the air on the topic that seems to bother you” he said as he tried to hide his smile. “I’m sorry but it doesn’t bother me” I scoffed. “By saying it doesn’t bother you, means it bothers you” he smirked. “I think what bothers you is that I was invited to this match by João and I was supposed to be on a date with him after, so you followed me here to ruin my plans” I crossed my arms over my chest. “Yet here you are, in my car. With me” he continued to smirk. “I only came here to ‘clear the air’ like you asked” I raised my voice.
“I love to see you get angry” he said as he leaned more into his seat to face me. The sexual tension in the car really got me flustered. “Lando, this is not funny ! Get to the point already, or I’m leaving” I huffed. “Okay okay sorry… so…are you actually dating him ?” he asked. “Are you serious right now ? You called me for this ? Are you trying to get information again for your girlfriend ?”
“Again with the girlfriend story” he laughed. “What is so damn funny ? Share the joke so I too can laugh” I rolled my eyes. “She’s not my girlfriend” he held in his laugh. “Wait what” I could feel the heat rush to my cheeks. “But I swear everyone and their mothers said that you’re dating her ? I felt like such an idiot being your so-called best friend because everyone knew this except for me” I argued. “Well sorry to break it you like this but you fell for the rumours like everyone else”
“But she went on this trip with you guys and-“ he cut me off. “Yeah because she’s friends with Pietra and besides that, I asked you to come with but you said no” he pouted. “Because like I told you, I didn’t want to be a third wheel” I sighed. “You wouldn’t have been a third wheel because you have me. If anything, she was going to feel like a third wheel because I’m closer to you… I was really hoping you were coming because I was so lonely, that’s why I video called you last night, but then you thought something else and cut the call on me” he called me out.
“I mean can you blame me with everything I’ve been hearing ?” I scoffed. “Now that that’s out of the way. Are you dating him ?” He asked as he leaned on the console between us. “What’s it to you ?” I grinned. “Oh come on, I answered your question, the least you can do is answer mine” he pouted again with the puppy dog eyes. “I guess you can say it’s a yes and no answer” I said playfully. He tilted his head to the side, “It’s either a yes or no” he said as he leaned closer towards me.
It started to feel really hot with all this sexual tension. I could feel the moisture and tiny beads of sweat start to form along my collarbones and my cleavage. It’s as if (Y/F/N) confident spirit took over me when I answered his question. “Well, yes I’m dating him if it means it bothers you and no, I’m not dating him..unless, you’re interested” I smirked as I tilted my head. He sniggered as he broke eye contact for a second before meeting my eyes again. He grabbed my cap and put it on himself backwards. “What are you doing ?” I furrowed my brows. “Something I should’ve done a very long time ago” he said as he entangled his fingers into my hair and closed the gap between us.
Our lips met in a rush of warmth, a collision of uncertainty and desire. The kiss was both sweet and fierce, a moment that felt like it could unravel everything we’d been avoiding. My hands wrapped around his neck and trailed into his hair, lightly pulling on it. When we finally pulled away, breathless, I found myself searching his eyes.
He bit his lip as he pressed his forehead against mine. “Wow” I said, my voice shaky. He chuckled softly, a smile spreading across his face. “Yeah, wow…always wanted to do that.”
I wasn’t done messing with him. “Then why didn’t you ? Oh right, you were so busy hitting on your ‘girlfriend’ that-“ he cut me off by capturing my lips in another kiss. He broke away to look at me, “You know you drive me insane sometimes, but it shows how much I love you when I can’t stop thinking about you or when I randomly smile at something you said” he blushed. “You already love me ?” I teased him. “Yes. Yes I do” he said as he gave me a quick peck. “Okay” I smiled. “Don’t you love me too ?” He pouted. “I’m still thinking about it” I pursed my lips.
“What is there to think about ?” He asked in shock. “I think I’m gonna need a little bit more of your lips on mine to decide-“ I tried to hide my laugh as he then cupped my face with his hands. “Is. This. Good. Enough. For. You” he pecked my lips after each word. I giggled at him being silly, “Okay okay, I love you too.” “Damn right you do” murmured as his hand moved to my neck and placed his lips on mine once again.

“I’m just an arrogant son of a bitch- H.S”
summary: Harry and you argue after his show at Wembley and he gets jealous and pissy. Angst ensues
warnings: arguments, swearing, angst with a happy ending
pairing: harry styles x fem!reader
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
The door slammed shut behind him, his footsteps heavy, even on the carpeted floor. You sighed, tired and weary. It had been a long night and by the looks of it, it was about to get even longer.
Harry huffed, taking off his shoes with more force than necessary, throwing them in the general direction of his open suitcase. He wasn’t wearing the colourful outfit anymore, looking much more like yours in the black nike shorts and worn-out t-shirt you’ve seen far too many times on him. You stood in the doorway between the ensuite bathroom and the bedroom, watching him quietly as he ran his fingers through his brown hair repeatedly-noting it had get even longer since the last time you saw him.
He looked up at you finally, his eyes stormy and half-lidded. He was mad, furious even and you weren’t totally sure why. You hadn’t seen him for three weeks, the tour taking a toll on your relationship and you had hoped this night would’ve at least be a change to your boring office life, a moment with the man you loved so dearly.
“What is your problem?”, you said demanding, sounding harsher than intended. Your arms were crossed in front of your chest, you yourself still dressed in the outfit you had chosen for tonight’s show. A pink, puffy dress, matching cowboy boots and hat. Hell, you had even put on a boa, going all out.
“My-“, he breathed out, before getting louder, “My problem? What the hell is your problem? We haven’t seen each other in almost a month and you already go around flirting with other guys? At my own damn show nonetheless?” He stood up from where he was sat on the king sized bed, taking a step closer to you.
“What?”, you sputtered unbelievingly. “What the fuck are you even talking about? All I did was talk to your mum and your sister, I haven’t seen either of them since Christmas and you just accuse me of things that didn’t even happen? Fuck you.” Tears gathered in your eyes and he noticed, faltering slightly.
“I saw you”, he started, pointing his finger at you,” Talking to him. I don’t know who he was, I don’t even care. I just know you were laughing pretty hard at his jokes or whatever he was telling you. A little too much to just be friendly.”
“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me. Ryan-“
He interrupted you before you could even finish. “Oh, Ryan”, he mocked, “Is that his name? Gotta be careful you don’t start moaning his name the next time we fuck.”
He was getting really worked up now, the vain on his forehead popping and you were getting angrier by the minute too. He had always been jealous, even a little possessive, and it was getting on your nerves.
“Ryan is an old friend from school, you asshole. You know him, I invited him to my birthday party two years ago. He’s gay, Harry, so he’s not interested in me and I’m not interested in him. It’s just a coincidence, he told me you were really nice to him when he met you and that he wanted to support you. Although, I don’t expect him to think so highly of you if he knew what you’re throwing at me right now.” You took a deep breath in, the tears finally breaching free. You couldn’t keep them in any longer.
You were exhausted, travelling from home to see him at Wembley, his concert of two hours and then this argument on top of it. The weak and selfish part of you just wanted him to hold you, while the bigger part just wanted to yell at him some more. You missed him and he was treating you so unfairly.
“I missed you”, you whispered, “I just wanted to spend the night with you peacefully, you’re my home, Harry. Why don’t you ever make me feel like I’m yours too?” You let out a sob, slapping your hand over your mouth defeated.
“Oh. Oh, Y/N.” His eyes were soft now, staring at you unnervingly. “Here, sit down, my love. You look like you’ll fall over any minute.” He guided you to a chair nearby, pushing you down gently.
“I’m so sorry”, he whispered, kneeling before you. His face was illuminated by the lights of London outside the big hotel window. “This tour has taken a toll on me, I missed you so much more, Y/N, you have to believe me. I don’t know what’s gotten into me, I just got so upset over the thought of you with someone else. I’m so selfish, I wish I could have you by my side everyday, you know? I love you and I never want to hurt you, not like this. Not over something I have so obviously perceived wrongly.”
You laughed wetly, your make-up probably smudged, making you look like a hot mess. “You know, I’m starting to think that you were right when you sang that you were just an arrogant son of a bitch who can’t admit that he’s sorry.” He chuckled quietly, wiping a tear from your cheek.
“I forgive you”, you said, kissing his palm, which was still holding your face gently, “But never say something like this to me again. I’d never cheat on you, not in a million chances. You’re my everything.”
“And you’re mine. We’ve got to figure out a way to see each other more, even when I’m touring and you’re working. I can’t go a day without you, without missing your beautiful face.”
You smiled softly, leaning down and he took the invitation to press a gentle, closed- mouthed kiss to your lips, a promise you understood, you accepted.

times you were at wembley with harry - blurb
i really really hope your like this 🥺 tell me your thoughts.
MASTERLIST | MY PATREON
2011 - take that concert

The last year was a roller coaster of emotions for Harry, in the span of a few months, he became a worldwide musical sensation alongside with the four boys that he now gets to call his best friends.
Of course, he was over the moon about his new life and how his dream was coming true, but the most special thing about the last year was that that he now gets to call his high school crush his girlfriend, and he couldn't be happy about it .
"I can't believe we get free tickets to concerts because we're in a band! This is amazing!" A cheerful Niall spoke, the band was currently at Wembley Stadium where the British legendary band 'Take That' was performing for the night.
"I know dude, and we can bring anyone we want too, this is the dream," Harry joined in, turning to look at his girlfriend who was seated next to him "Are you good? Do you want anything to drink?" he asked her, with small smile on his face.
"I'm okay, these seats are great," YN replied, the boys too indulged in their own conversation no longer paying attention to them, "Thank yo for inviting me."
"No need to thank me, love. I love spending time with you," Harry said making his girlfriend's cheeks instantly blush, "This place is madness, I hope we get to play here sometime."
"You will, Harry. And I'll make sure to be by your side when that happens, even if you don't want me anymore."
"Don't say that, you know I'll always want you around." Harry said with a serious face, and YN was about to reply before she interrupted by Louis' voice.
"Lovebirds! The show is about to start!"
"Okay, okay. Let me take a picture of you guys before the lights go out." YN said standing up and grabbing her phone to capture the moment.
The five boys smiled for her, excited grins on their faces and the same thought in their minds: how amazing it would be to play a show in Wembley Stadium
2014 - one direction's where we are tour
"I can't believe we're playing here tonight," Harry said as he took a look at the massive stadium, standing beside his girlfriend as they roamed around the area that soon would be filled with fans, "I just, can't wrap my head around the fact that we actually did it, three sold out shows here, I'm blown away."
YN smiled tenderly before speaking, taking in her boyfriend's excitement, "I'm so proud of you, baby. You and the boys deserve this so much."
"That's the best part of it all, that I'm doing it with the lads," Harry matched his girlfriend's smile, "You know, if I ever get to do my own thing I know for a fact that I won't be able to match everything we're achieving, but I'm okay with it. My dreams are coming true right now and that's all that matters."
YN knew that this was a constant thought on his mind and doubt whispered in his ear telling him that if he ever got to launch his solo career, he would never measure up and never reach the same heights as his band is doing.
"Hey, love," YN called for him, making him lock his eyes with her, "Everything's going to be fine, you will deliver an amazing show tonight and the following nights. And when the time is right, you'll be back here with your own music, I have no doubt in my mind that you were born to perform in stages like this one."
Harry smiled fondly taking in his girlfriend's words, "I love you, you know?" he grabbed her face before continuing, "Your constant support is what pushes me to do all of this, it means nothing without you."
YN leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. "I'll always be here, supporting you through it all," she whispered, "Doesn't matter if you perform for 60,000 people or 6, I'm going to be proud of you no matter what."
And as Harry stood in the middle of the stadium with his girlfriend wrapped around his arms, eager to perform alongside with his best friends; he thought his life couldn't get any better , and no matter what happened in the future, he was going to cherish that moment for the rest of his life.
2022 - love on tour: harry's first solo show

"How do you feel, mate?" Jeff asked Harry as they stood together on the wings of the stage, Mitski was just done with her set and Harry was already on his outfit for the show, minutes away from hitting the stage.
"It's a weird feeling somehow," Harry turned his gaze to his manager and best friend, "I never thought I was going to ever be able to fill this place on my own, you know?"
"And here we are, two sold out shows!" Jeff threw his fist in the air as a sign of celebration and both of them laughed, side hugging as they kept admiring the crowd.
"Are you guys having a sappy sentimental moment without me?" they tuned their heads towards the voice called for them, that belonged to Harry's wife.
"I was just about to leave, actually, I have to check everything's running smoothly before this one hits the stage," Jeff ruffled Harry's hair for a moment, "You lovebirds enjoy your pre-concert shag, see you out there!"
YN and Harry both rolled their eyes and shook their heads, all the times they got caught doing their shenanigans before the shows resulting in a constant teasing from their friends.
"So, how do you feel, rockstar?" YN asked, getting closer to him and wrapping his arms around his waist.
"You know, Jeff just asked the same thing."
"Okay, no talking, straight to the pre-concert shag I guess!"
Harry laughed, wrapping his arms around her shoulders, looking out at the crowd together.
"I feel great," Harry said, turning his face to the side to locke his eyes with hers, "Being here again and having you by my side as my wife now is something that I thought would only happen in my dreams, so I feel great my dreams came true again."
"This is a time where I actually feel good saying that I told you so," YN smiled softly, "I always knew that you were going to be selling out this places on your own, baby. And I'm so proud of you."
"I know," Harry pecked her lips for a moment, "And that's the reason why I'm here, because you had never allowed me to doubt myself."
"You're here because you've earned it by working hard and pouring your heart out in everything that you do, there's no one who deserves this as much as you do."
Harry's eyes got watery at her words, and he grabbed her face to connect their lips, expressing everything he felt at the moment with a kiss.
"10 minutes till show time!" One of the crew members announced, making them break apart.
"Go sing about fruit and joke about dads, rockstar. I love you."
"Love you more, wifey."
And with a final kiss to his wife's lips he was off to perform, ready to charm a crowd of 80,000 people on his own, something that he never though he would achieve.
2023 - four sold out shows

“And here we go again.” You whispered to yourself as you watched Harry hit the first note of Daydreaming.
You were on the VIP box of Wembley Stadium, accompanied by family and friends that came together to see Harry perform. The room filled with love, pride and joy.
“Honey, I’m home!” Harry said into the mic, making the entire crowd of 80k people scream, and you couldn’t help but turn your head to Anne standing beside you.
“He’s always so happy when he’s here,” she said, her eyes not leaving her boy who was performing on stage, “I’ve watched him perform countless of times and I still get overwhelmed with so much pride.”
You both smiled tenderly, sharing the same feeling. As the concert went by, you danced along to the music, traded friendship bracelets with Harry’s fans that approached you and took a few snaps with your film camera to capture the moment forever.
But now, you absolute favorite of every Harry concert approached, the time to listen to him sing the song that started it all: Sign of the Times.
“It’s not lost on me how insane it is to be playing 4 nights here this week, thank you so much. It’s very, very special to me,” Harry begun with his speech before the song, making everyone in the audience grow emotional, “My family is here tonight, my friends are here, my gorgeous wife is here, and a countless list of people who have supported me right from the very beginning.”
You put your hand on your chest, feeling tears gather up in your eyes and feeling how Anne side-hugged you, caressing your arm.
“These shows get a little bit scary for me because, they get so built up, and it’s a slow build, that feels like. I know what it means to be here tonight and it’s a bit scary because it makes it feel it’s a show all unto itself”
“He’s still feels like he’s not going to live up to it,” Anne whispered, making you look at her, “But remember how he thought he was never going to play here on his own? And now we’re here for four nights.”
“And now we’re here for four nights.” you repeated her words, smiling to yourself and admiring your husband on stage.
The song finally started and the tears naturally rolled down your cheeks, your body filled with pride and adoration for the man you’ve loved for over 13 years. As you watched the fireworks go off as he hit the final notes, you thanked life for allowing you to stick with him through it all.

summary - you and harry enjoy each others company after the wembley tour
word count: 1.5k
pairing: long-term-boyfriend!harry x reader
Wembley was empty now.
There was only the crew cleaning up the masses of boas and rubbish that was all over the floor.
You were on stage, trying to salvage the flowers that fans had thrown on stage for Harry during Grapejuice. You hoped to collect them and press them into a frame so Harry could hang it up in your house. Possibly in his recording studio.
You were kneeling on the floor, collecting the flowers into your Love On Tour tote bag.
“Babe!” Harry called from the side, entering the stadium from the tunnel.
“Hi, baby.” You smiled and waved at him, before returning to your collecting.
“Hi, baby.” You smiled and waved at him, before returning to your collecting.
“What are y’doing? Been looking for you for ages.”
He had changed into shorts, vans and a hoodie now. He looked very cosy and loveable. You loved him in his comfortable clothes, especially because it makes hugging him cosier.
Harry stopped to take out his phone and take a photo of you on the stage, without you knowing. He looked at the photo afterwards, zoomed into you and smiled at how pretty you looked.
He pocketed his phone as he made the rest of the way to you.
“Are you okay?” You asked, worried that he needed you for something.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Was just missing you.” He admitted.
You stopped adding flowers to your bag and watched him walk all the way over to where the archway was in the stage to get through to Johnny’s Place.
You knelt over to him and dangled your face and hands over the edge. Harry reached his hands up and held onto your hands, very careful not to pull you in case you fell.
He smiled when his hands met yours, having missed your touch for the past half an hour.
“Missed you too. Y’look good.” You told him.
“I’m in m’gym clothes, babe!” Harry laughed.
“I know.” You laughed back, squeezing onto his hands.
“Put m’best clothes on for you.”
He let go of your hands then, terrified he might accidentally pull you if he wasn’t concentrating.
“Are you sure you’re okay, though?”
“Yes babe. I’m sure.” Harry smiled at how thorough your concern was. “Gimme a minute.”
Harry shuffled along the floor and ran up some secret stairs to get to you.
You went back to picking through the flowers, to find the best ones for him. There were so many different types of flowers with lots of different colours.
You felt him come up behind you before you heard him. His presence was like a warm, comforting, blanket over you.
“What’re you doing, love?” Harry asked over your shoulder, crouching down.
You turned your head to see him, his face only inches away from yours. You smiled at him, giving him a quick peck before replying.
“Collecting these flowers.”
“Why?” Harry went in for another kiss, because he can’t keep his distance from you. Then he kissed you again because he can’t keep his lips away from yours after just one taste.
“Because I want to make you a gift and you’ll ruin it if you keep asking questions.” You turned your head away from him and secured all the flowers in the bag.
Harry moved behind you as you did so.
“Y/N?” He said softly.
“Yeah?” You turned around, to find Harry with a flower in his hands.
A pretty pink flower that matched your dress. He had snapped the flower from the stalk. He reached the flower up to being your ear, tucking it there so it would stay.
You blushed as he did so, smiling so widely as he loved on you in his own way.
“I love you.” He said.
“Do you?” You pretended like you didn’t already know.
“Yeah. Very much so. Sing all m’songs about you, don’t I?”
“What? Even Love of My Life?” You questioned, turning to sit cross legged on the floor so you could face him. Harry still crouched, probably comfortable from all the pilates. “Where you’re singing about how I was the love of your life?”
“Shut up. You know why I wrote that song.” Harry replied quietly.
You did know.
It was when you and Harry had gone on a break because the distance between you was too much. He wrote the song, sent it to you to ask whether it was okay if he put it on his new album he was creating, only for you to come knocking on his door the next day, teary eyed, demanding an explanation.
You’d talked for hours and hours that night until you decided you had something worth fighting for.
“I do. Sorry, H baby.” You cupped his cheek with your hand and rubbed over his soft skin.
“It’s okay. Only because we’re okay.” He smiled at you.
You lay down then, still a few flowers surrounding you underneath.
Harry then came and lay down beside you, close enough to interlock his hand closest to you with yours. You turned to smile at him, only to realise he was busy admiring the moon high up above Wembley.
The stars were out and shining for him. The moon beaming down on the both of you.
“She’s so pretty.” Harry said, talking about the moon.
“Prettier than me?” You teased.
“Nobody’s prettier than you, love.”
You were silent for a few moments, both of you just admiring the still and silence. It’s hard to believe this place was filled with over ninety thousand people a couple hours ago.
You’d come to realise that Lloyd snapped a photo of the two of you like this and it quickly became your favourite photo with each other. Holding hands, laying amongst the flowers, gazing at the beautiful moon.
“Harry?”
“Hmm?”
“Can I tell you something?”
“Anything.” He squeezed your hand.
“Sometimes, when we’re apart, like you’re in LA and I’m in London, I look up at the moon and remember that it’s looking back down at you too. Like she’s watching over both of us simultaneously. It’s comforting, knowing we’re small enough in this expensive universe to be closer than we realise. Don’t you think?”
Harry didn’t reply and you wondered maybe he just didn’t get it?
You turned to look at him and he was already looking at you, stars now reflecting in his eyes.
“It’s cool if you don’t think that. I mean, like…”
“Y/N?”
“Yeah?”
“Marry me.” He smiled so widely.
“Wha–”
“Marry me. Please.” He repeated himself, sitting up to pull something out of his pocket. He pulled out a small, dainty, engagement ring - one that you recognised from Anne’s collection. “Marry me and just be with me. Always. I know marriage doesn’t change who we are or how we love each other, but I just want to make you a little bit more mine. I’m always going to pick you. You are the love of my life. Choose me? Because I choose you.”
You didn’t realise you were crying until Harry was going slightly blurry in your vision
“Yes,” You whispered, “Yes! Yes, yes, yes!” You shouted more and more loudly.
You sat and reached up up to grab his cheeks for a kiss. He wasn’t ready for it, but quickly found his rhythm against you. He kissed you so lovingly and you gave him all of you in return.
He pulled away, red lipped and slightly breathless.
“Let me put this on you.”
He held you hand shakily and your own hand was shaking. He slipped the perfect ring on and you smiled with so much happiness.
“Harry, it’s gorgeous.”
“Mum gave it to me. She gave it to me the moment we went on a break and I knew that I’d screwed up. She gave it to me, making me promise that I’d work hard to earn you back and marry the one person who I’d ever fully loved.”
“You’ve been carrying it around all this time?” You asked in disbelief.
“Always knew I was going to ask you. It was just a matter of when.”
“Well this was perfect. Thank you.”
“Thank you for saying yes.”

Chris and the PR girl
Oh look another ChrisMD Charity match fic no one asked for

Chris Dixon also known has ChrisMD had already done the whole relationship in public thing before. His audience knew him as the football-obsessed YouTuber who thrived in challenges, took on outrageous football dares, and managed to score goals against some of the best players he'd ever faced. In later years he was also known as the guy who had split up with his ex and everything possible to stop being single anymore, it became as much of his personality as anything else. But for the past five months, there had been someone behind the scenes, someone who had become an integral part of his life—Y/N, the PR mastermind for the Sidemen.
While his friends, fellow YouTubers, and the Sidemen themselves were all aware of their relationship, the public was still in the dark. Chris and Y/N had made the decision to keep their romance under wraps, not out of shame, but simply because they wanted to enjoy their time together without the pressures of social media dissecting every moment. Chris had walked that road before and while it was fine it wasn’t something that he was interested in pursuing again, Y/N working in PR needed absolutely no persuation at all, she had seen other partners be dragged through the mud countless times, seen a lot of speculation about things, shutting down rumours about other people and she didn’t want to have to PR manage her own life, doing it for seven famous people was more than enough. They’d agreed to wait for the right time to go public.
It turned out, the right time was the Sidemen Charity Match.
The atmosphere at the sold-out Wembley Stadium was electric. The crowd of 90,000 fans screamed in anticipation as the YouTube Allstars prepared to take on the Sidemen FC. The match was one of the biggest events in the YouTube calendar, bringing together creators from across the platform, all competing for a good cause, over two million pounds was raised at the last match and this year it needed to be better, eveyr year the event got bigger and this year was no exception.
Chris had been on fire since the first whistle. He had already bagged two goals, as well as assisting two others, one for Speed and one for Will but the hat trick moment came in the 78th minute. With a perfect assist from Angry Ginge, Chris took a touch, steadied himself, and sent a shot curling into the top corner. The crowd erupted, his teammates swarmed him, and the announcers lost their minds at his display of skill. All of that hype came crashing down in an instant when Chris decided to celebrate by doing his little jump from the Valentines Day episode advert, showing everyone while yes he was a great footballer he was also just a massive nerd. Y/N loved him for it, she was watching from the VIP area making sure the social media posters were busy doing their job, camera angles were where they needed to be and the hype was truly captured.
Chris ran toward the corner flag, sliding onto his knees before standing up and making a heart with his hands. The camera zoomed in on him as he held the gesture for a second longer than usual, a soft smile playing on his lips.
Y/N, watching from the VIP section, felt her heart swell. She knew that was for her.
Talia, sitting next to her, smirked. “You realize he just did that for you, right?”
Y/N rolled her eyes playfully, trying to suppress a grin. “Shut up.”
Freya chuckled, nudging her shoulder. “Oh, you’re blushing.”
She was. But the fans didn’t know. To them, it was just another celebration—one of many in the heat of the moment. But for Y/N, it was everything.
The game ended up 6-7 to the All stars, the first time in a long while they had won, in no small part to Chris who was having the game of his life. He called Y/N his good luck charm before the match and it seemed like it was very true.
After the match, the energy carried into the after-party. Held at an exclusive London hotel, it was a night for celebration. The Sidemen had raised millions for charity, and the YouTube Allstars had put on an incredible performance. Drinks flowed freely, laughter echoed through the venue, and the music kept spirits high.
Chris had been on cloud nine the entire night, the thrill of his performance still coursing through his veins. He found Y/N at the bar, talking to Talia and Faith. As soon as he saw her, his grin widened, and without hesitation, he strode over, wrapped his arms around her, and pulled her into a deep hug.
“Three goals,” he murmured into her ear, his voice filled with excitement. “I did it.”
She pulled back slightly, her hands resting on his shoulders. “You were amazing, Chris.”
“Now that is a kodak moment,” Talia gushed, she snapped a pic knowing it was for private Instagram’s and group chats only.
“Can I borrow you for five minutes or are you working?” Chris asked biting his bottom lip slightly.
“I’ve got some time,” Y/N responded slipping her hand into Chris’s as they walked over to another quieter part of the room to steal a few private moments away from the camera.
As the star of the All Stars the drinks were flowing very freely for Chris, his whole team made sure his hand was never empty, while Y/N was still half on duty she had loosened up too on the instruction of Simon and Josh that she has been on all day and the professional stuff was all wrapped up apart from one photographer who was under strict instructions by Y/N to not post anything scandalous.
“There you are,” Chris slurred slightly sneaking an arm around her waist, sloppy grin on his face.
“Hello hero, I feel like I’ve barely seen you, you’ve been so popular tonight,” Y/N responded with a small giggle.
“Well I’m here now.” Chris cupped her face, his thumb brushing against her cheek. The alcohol, the adrenaline, the sheer joy of the moment—all of it clouded his usual restraint. He leaned in and kissed her.
It was nothing scandalous, just a sweet, lingering kiss between two people completely lost in the moment. But what they didn’t realize was that, in the midst of the celebrations, cameras were everywhere.
Flash. Click.
And just like that, their secret was out.
The internet exploded the next morning.
The first pictures surfaced on Twitter, showing Chris and Y/N in a tight embrace at the after-party, their foreheads touching. Then came another—Chris pressing a kiss to her lips, his hands still cupping her face as if she were the most important thing in the world.
“WAIT A MINUTE—IS CHRISMD IN A RELATIONSHIP???” one tweet read, already racking up thousands of likes.
“Who is the girl? We need answers.”
“Does this mean the heart celebration was for HER???”
“SHE WORKS FOR THE SIDEMEN I’M SURE”
The speculation was rampant, theories spreading like wildfire. Some fans were shocked, others delighted, and a few (as always) were heartbroken. Chris and Y/N’s phones buzzed relentlessly with messages from friends, all with the same variation of ‘Well, the secret’s out.’
Even the Sidemen and others got in on it.
Will tweeted “Dating apps all over the UK have had their traffic dropped eighty percent these past few months”
Simon responded, “Spend two years sorting out our messes and the last few months trying to straight up the biggest mess.”
George Clarkey simply tweeted, “Virgin no more.”
Chris and Y/N spent the morning scrolling through the chaos, still in bed, trying to process the reaction.
“So,” Y/N said, resting her head on his chest, “do we say something?”
Chris let out a soft chuckle, his fingers lazily tracing circles on her back. “I mean… at this point, do we even need to?”
She laughed. “Probably not.”
A few minutes later, Chris opened Twitter and, without overthinking it, posted a simple tweet:
“Yeah, the heart celebration was for her.”
The tweet blew up instantly, but Chris didn’t care. Because for the first time in months, he didn’t have to hide what made him happiest.
And that was Y/N.

A Moment In Time
Synopsis: One where Harry's Swiftie daughter finally gets to meet her favourite and see her perform live.
Here's Pt2 to this after 1.5years | More of my work

It was a random Wednesday day and Harry and Moon at Harry Lambert's studio.
They were going to The Eras Tour!!!
Moon was ecstatic would be an understatement to say. She wanted a green folklore dress like Taylor's to wear at the Wembley Night three. So her dad found the very next person to reach out to for a custom dress for his little princess.
"It twickles!" She chuckled as Lambert took her measurements, making sure to leave quite a margin as she is a growing kid and the show was a month and a half ahead.
"Yeah? Does it tickle here?" Lambert tickled her tummy a bit making her burst into laughter.
Then later Moon went out with her dad on a little lunch date. She wanted Fish and chips and that's what she got.
......................................................................
It was finally the concert day. Moon was already hyped up for everything. They even went merch shopping. They couldn't find anything in her size except for nail charms there.
Moon carried along her VIP pass on a lanyard too long for her and her noise cancelling headphones which matched her dress. Yes, her Papa bought her VIP tickets.
The show kicked off and they all danced, sang and had a great time all together.
Moon was particularly ecstatic when she saw she was matching with Taylor with the very similar Folklore dress. Taylor of course noticed it during her 22 set.
"Mummy look!" Moon showed her mum how Taylor danced during August, using her cape sleeves like wings just like her favourite.
Harry's fans there were particularly in awe of the little girl. Surprisingly, they did not take pictures of her or any sneaky videos. They were all very respectful as YN and Harry have kept their daughter away from the lime light.
Moon was over the moon one can say when she saw Taylor wearing the same dress as hers during August. "Mummy she's wearing the same dress as me!" The little girl screamed in excitement asking her mother to pick her up so she could have a look at her favourite performing on the stage well.
"Yeah!" YN cooed as picked up her girl and propped her up on her hip.
.........................................................................
It was the end of the show and Harry was guiding his girl back out when Andrea, Taylor's mum stopped them.
"Hi, Harry." She greeted him, "Taylor said she would like to meet your daughter at the back stage now."
Moon was all tired and a bit grumpy already as she clung on her mother, still with her noise cancelling headphones on and her bunny close to her chest. She had no idea what was going on as her mother and dad took her back stage. Taylor was there, still in her Midnights body suit.
"Moonie look who's here." YN cooed to her daughter softly, making the little girl pick her head up to look at her favourite.
"Hi little one!" Taylor said softly.
"Taylor!" It was like Moon had two shots of espresso all of a sudden when she saw Taylor, she was quick to jump in her arms with a bear hug.
"Oh you're so sweet!" Taylor hugged her back. "I like your dress. It's so pretty."
"Yeah, it's like yours!" Moon said she looked down at her dress.
"It suits you better I can say." Blondie said. "Your dad told me how much you like my music, that means so much to me."
"Yes, I like Love Story, Me, and Lover!" Moon listed out a few songs she likes. "Papa wikes to sing it to Mummy and me sometimes."
"Awe that's so sweet, isn't it!" Taylor chuckle softly. "Thank you for listening to my songs." She hugged the little girl again.
Taylor gave Moon so many gifts. Harry made sure to inform Taylor that his daughter is a big fan of hers. Taylor made the meet much so special with custom merch for Moon.
A little 22 hat, and a small Junior Jules shirt, with a pair of black jean shorts, a few tour hoodies made in her size and few sizes larger so she can grow into them. A few friendship bracelets for her, which Taylor made herself. And a few candies and chocolates, which Taylor made sure with her parents first before giving it to her.
"I made these myself for you." She helped Moon wear the bracelets.
And little did Taylor know, Moon had a few gifts for Taylor too.
"Mummy the gift, pwease!" She looked up at her mother. It was just a little cat with a picture Moon drew herself and a friendship bracelet too.
"Oh my gosh! You made these?" Taylor was in utter surprise. The little bracelets said, 'Moons BFF" and "Bestie" respectively. "You drew this?"
"Yes!" Moon exclaimed, "dunno if you would wanna wear it but I made it." She added shyly.
"Of course I want to wear it." Taylor instantly put on the bracelets, "oh and I love this picture so much!"
"Yeah? This is Moon and this is you!" She pointed at two stick figures with yellow hair, one with blue eyes and one with green eyes. Stick figure Taylor had a black mic in her hand. "And it says, I wuv your swongs and I admire you so much!" And it said the same thing indeed in messy and colourful writing.
"You are amazing." Taylor hugged Moon again, she was a bit emotional to say the least. "I am gonna cherish this forever, thank you so much. You are such an amazing artist."
"Thank you so much." Moon blushed shyly making everyone chuckle.
"You wanna take pictures together on my Polaroid?" Taylor asked. Moon of course said yes.
Taylor kept one with her and gave one to Moon with a little message on the back.
It was the best night for Moon.
YN only hoped she could remember it when she grows up, but her parents would forever remember the same for her. Moon spent three hours with Taylor that evening, they had dinner together later that night.
Moon definitely thought Taylor was going to be her best friend forever and ever that she asked her to call her whenever she is free, surprisingly Taylor agreed to that. That made Moon ever more happier.
....................................................................................
Moon was fast asleep in the car when they all got home, she was exhausted.
It was the next morning when her dad surprised her with her favourite breakfast, which was pancakes with her favourite fruits.
"Mummy." She walked up to her mum in her office with sleepy eyes for cuddles.
"Good morning my baby." YN was quick to pull her up in her lap.
"Mornin." She mumbled. "What are you doing Mummy?"
"I am just taking care of a few things baby." She explained to her.
"Oh." Was her only reaction.
"Are you still tired?"
"Mhmm." She nodded and nuzzled closer to YN's chest and tried to sleep again but she could smell the delicious pancakes her dad was making in the kitchen. "Pancakes?"
"Yes, Papa is making Pancakes for you." YN shared, "do you want to go brush your teeth and your hair and eat pancakes?"
"Mhmm." She seemed a bit upset and YN didn't know why.
She let her daughter be for a while as she helped the little girl brush her teeth and hair before they headed out for breakfast.
"Hi my loves. Good morning." Harry chirped as he went and kissed his wife first on the mouth and then his princess. YN set her on her high chair as she went to help him.
"I don't know why she seems a bit upset." She whispered to her husband.
"No, why?" He seemed puzzled about it.
"I don't know..."
Harry went to his daughter with a plate of pancakes, he had made a little smile face the blue berry jam and cut up little strawberry hearts for the eyes, syrup and extra fruits on the side.
"Hey princess what got you so upset?" He cooed to her, "did you see a nightmare?"
"No." She mumbled, "I saw we went to see Taylor and there were a lot of her friends there, she gave me so many gifts."
"Oh baby you thought that was a dream?" Harry tried so hard to hold back his chuckle.
"Mhmm." She looked down at her plate with sad and teary eyes.
"Oh no, can I share something with you?" Harry asked making her look up at him, "it was all real my darling. Here." He walked up to the coffee table in their living room to get the basket of goodies and the Polaroid.
The instant smile on her face put her parents heart into ease.
"It all happened, really." YN assured her. "We took off the bracelets because we didn't want you to scratch yourself in sleep." She gave the little girl the bracelets.
And she was happy again.
They spent the rest of their day watching movies and preparing and making an elaborate dinner to invite Grandma Anne and Aunty Gemma.

AH I've been waiting for requests to be open! i love love loveeee your writing!! I've been in dire need (if you feel like writing it lol) of reader comforting jamie after the locker room scene w his dad at wembley.. like maybe instead of roy hugging him the reader swoops in? you do you! thanks!! <3
Listened to 17 Pushing 24 by Sabrina Sterling while writing this. Highly recommend ✌️🥲
i know what i’m doing
Sometimes Jamie wonders if you two are attracted to each other due to your compelling need to take care of everything.
It certainly was difficult at first, both of you with residual issues due to your upbringing. His as the only son of a single mother, yours as the oldest daughter of a large family.
Those types of child-caretakers aren’t always compatible. Jamie’s much more lighthearted about the way he tries to control everything, and you’re more serious.
You’d think it would be easier, both of you taking care of each other, except for the small fact that neither of you were capable of accepting help from the other.
It came to a head one evening when Jamie came home to you crying in the laundry room, overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the tasks you had yet to complete before going to bed.
“Love, I can help you,” Jamie had said.
“No! It’s my laundry and my responsibility and you already have enough to do without me burdening you even more,” you replied before dissolving into more tears.
So yeah, it was a whole thing. It involved therapy and everything.
But you’re moving past it. You’re both getting to a point where each of you can receive the same love that you’re giving, however strange it may feel. Jamie even let you stay home from work to take care of him when he was sick a couple weeks ago, something that was pretty much unheard of up to this point.
You’re channeling the need to control things in healthy ways, like having all of AFC Richmond over to Jamie’s giant house for potluck-style family dinners. Or hosting non-video game nights, where FIFA is strictly banned as a form of entertainment. Or themed outings where everyone had to dress as something that shared the first letter of their name and then go see a movie at the local theater.
Stuff like that.
You’re the brains, Jamie is the execution. You can see Isaac side-eyeing him a couple times, making mental notes about temporary captains in the event that he can’t play a match.
Jamie’s gone from Richmond’s resident prick to Richmond’s resident morale-booster.
He comes home one evening with brighter eyes than normal.
“Babe,” he calls before he’s even in the door, “Coach said I can go back to being a prick again.”
“Ted said that?” you ask from your spot on the couch. You’re laying down length-wise with your legs dangling off the end.
“Fuck no,” Jamie replies, “Roy.”
“Oh,” you say as Jamie plops his bags down. You sit up a little so he can have a spot on the couch. He pats his lap so you lay back down, head on his thigh.
“Roy said that Ted fucked me up, so ‘when it’s appropriate’” (he uses air quotes) “I can be a prick to the other team.”
“That’s nice, babe,” you say, “but how do you know when to do that?”
Jamie shrugs. “Coach said he’d give me a signal. Don’t know what it is, though.”
You say, “hm,” then lapse into comfortable silence, Jamie’s hand running through your hair.
—
The prick signal worked so much better than you could have thought. It’s the best. You see Jamie go from playing defensively to being completely offensive, screwing with the other team’s heads. You scream and clap as he scores, while Keeley practically throttles you with joy.
Now it’s late after the game, and the lads are all over at Jamie’s. They’re absolutely exhausted, but buzzing with energy. It isn’t until about 1am that they disperse to the various guest bedrooms and pass out on top of each other. You catch a glimpse of Dani cuddling Jan Maas who’s asleep in a starfish position as Colin sneaks in to draw on their faces with sharpie.
“Don’t tell anyone it was me,” he whispers. You zip your lips and head to the master bedroom and pretty much fall onto the right side of the bed.
Jamie comes in shortly after, saying something about Isaac telling a bedtime story. He burrows under the covers and you quietly shriek because he’s placed his ice-cold hands on your ribcage.
“How are you so cold?” you whisper.
Jamie shrugs sleepily. “Dunno,” he whispers back. “Got ice in my veins, I guess.”
You smile. “You’re tired, aren’t you babe?”
Jamie shakes his head and stifles a yawn. “Nah, ain’t tired. Thinkin’ about our match against Man City.”
He says it casually. Too casually.
You see, both you and Jamie have this thing where the more nonchalantly you say something, the more important it is.
You prop yourself up a bit so you can face him and scratch his head. He sighs and leans in.
“You nervous?” you ask.
Jamie shakes his head. “Not to see the team. Lookin’ forward to seeing Pep. It’s just…” he trails off.
You whisper, “Yeah. I know. Whatever happens, I’m here. Don’t forget that. I’m here no matter what.”
Jamie says, “hm,” and then he’s asleep.
—
You’re running.
You’re running faster than any of the boys on the pitch had run the entire match, and you’re pushing past people in a way that Keeley would later describe as “absolutely fucking feral.”
It happened like this:
The game was over. Richmond lost to Man City.
You were on your way to see Jamie and the rest of the team.
You were, maybe, three floors away? when Rebecca got a text from Ted, showed it to you, and before you knew it you were flying down to the guest locker room to find Jamie.
Of course his dick father would show up to make this day worse. Of course he would.
You’re ducking under security and pushing your way to the locker room in a flurry of motion, then immediately stop.
It’s silent, absolutely silent.
And so still.
No one moves a muscle as your eyes land on Jamie, clinging to Roy like he’s a lifeline. Roy. Roy Kent, self-proclaimed Jamie-hater and staunch advocate against physical touch.
Jamie’s eyes are squeezed shut, but they flutter open at the sound of your tentative footsteps. He lets go of Roy for a moment, but only so that you can grab him in the next.
“Right,” says Roy, “Everybody get the fuck out!”
There are no complaints as the lads hurriedly grab their bags and exit the locker room.
Roy nods in your direction before leaving, and Beard mouths, “take your time.” You’re not sure where Ted’s gone off to.
Jamie feels like he’s going to collapse if he stands any longer, crushing you in the strongest grip you’ve ever felt.
“Oi,” you say gently, “let’s sit down, yeah? You don’t have to let go.”
So now you’re on the bench in Jamie’s lap, scratching his head in the way he likes, waiting for him to break the silence.
“Fucking stupid,” he says, voice muffled.
You ask, “What?” because surely that can’t be what he just said.
“I said it’s fucking stupid,” Jamie says, refusing to meet your eyes. “I’m a fucking adult. Don’t need to be crying about stupid shit, especially not in front of the lads.”
“Oh, right,” you say before you can stop yourself, “because crying after your dick father tried to swing at you when you set boundaries for the first time ever is a completely unreasonable response.”
Jamie is still in your arms and you cringe. Curse your stupid, logical tongue.
Jamie finally says, “Didn’t think about it like that.” He sighs. “It’s just fuckin’ embarrassing, innit? Him showing up here like that. Didn’t need the lads seeing that.”
You kiss his forehead.
“The only person it’s embarrassing for is him. Not you. You’re absolutely fine, Jaim. If anything, the boys are going to look at you better for finally understanding the shit you had to grow up with.”
Jamie nods, but you’re not sure if he believes you.
“Jamie,” you say firmly, “It’s not your fault. You handled it the best way it could have been handled. You did a great job.”
Those words seem to do something to Jamie, and his face takes on an expression you’ve never seen before
He asks, “You think so?” in such a forlorn manner than you have the sudden urge to find James Tartt and kick him in the balls with steel-toed shoes. You briefly wonder if Roy and Beard would like to join you.
“Yes,” you reply forcefully, “Yes Jamie. You did a wonderful job in a shitty situation and I’m very, very proud of you.”
Jamie doesn’t reply, just holds you tighter if that’s even possible. He takes a deep shuddering breath, but it’s the first real one he’s taken this entire time.
“I told you I’m here no matter what,” you say. “Just like all the times you’ve been here for me. Now I’m here for you.”

Iga just lost 🥲 😭can you write something about that with harry? Xx
pairing: Harry Styles x tennis player!reader (she, her)
summary: YN lost at Wimbledon but Harry is still proud of her.
word count: 0,9k
a/n: had a few heart attacks while watching the match, not gonna lie. here is something that i wished i got after losing a match. i hope you like it, and thank you for requesting!
masterlist (with more of the tennis player!reader) ask, request
“So how does it feel to defeat the No. 1 player at the moment?”
Even though YN was already on her way to the changing room, she could still hear the interviewer. Defeat. Losing. Bad match. Problems. Mental blockade. Those were the sentences she heard during the past two minutes. Her face was stoic, as always. No one could know what was happening under the mask she had put on during the match. No emotions showing (which of course bothered some of the tennis enthusiasts). But just a few more steps and she would be able to let it all out, alone.
After closing the door and settling down her equipment, YN sat down on one of the benches and cried. It had been a long time since she felt this beaten and powerless. Nothing worked. And the more she tried to repair it, just like she had practiced, the more mistakes appeared.
“Get it together,” she sobbed under her breath, wiping off the tears. But they didn’t stop coming. Her face was once again covered in salty rivers.
In all her sobbing and sniffing, she didn’t hear the knocks and then opening of the doors. Only when someone sat down next to her and began embracing her, she was like back to reality. It didn’t take much to recognise the person disrupting her. His smell and the way he wanted to hold her was self explanatory.
“Hi, gorgeous,” he welcomed her, squeezing her tightly to his chest.
YN didn’t trust her voice, in the answer she hugged Harry’s waist and put her head over his heart. The beating of it, usually able to calm her down.
“Shhh.” He tried. “It’s all right. You’re not alone.”
“I’m sorry.” Her usually delicate voice, now even more quiet and fragile.
“What are you sorry for, my love, hmm?”
She took a deep, shaky breath in. “Losing. I know it’s one of the few times you see my play live. And- and we’re also in London, which you love. And-”
“Hey, hey, hey. Stop it. Stop.” Harry interrupted her immediately with a very serious tone. “None of it. Can you please look at me?”
“I don’t think I want to. I’m ashamed.”
Harry’s heart was breaking. Watching the whole match he saw how she was struggling with even her best moves. He watched her come back from losing in the second set and prolonging her time on the Wembley court. He couldn’t have been more proud. She overcame so much during this match. Yet, the outcome, he knew, wasn’t what she wanted to achieve.
“Please, YN.”
Reluctantly, YN looked up. Her puffy, shiny eyes staring right back at his loving ones.
“I am so proud of you.” Harry’s hand was stroking her cheek, drying it from tears. “Everything you’ve accomplished this year is extraordinary. The person and player you’ve become is worth hours of anybody's free time to listen to and appreciate. The path you are on, all the obstacles you’ve left behind, conquered. What happened today is a part of that path. Losing is a human thing, It's part of your career. The greatest tennis players lost some tournaments. Yeah?”
YN nodded her head, now seemingly less shaken up.
“I am proud of you. What you did today was extraordinary. No, don’t look at me like that. I’m telling the truth,” he scolded her, making her look at him by putting two fingers under her chin and directing her face towards his. “You’ve reached the quarterfinals at one of the most respected tournaments in the World. It’s huge. You're a three time Roland Garros champion, an US Open champion as well. You are the No. 1 tennis player in the world. But you know who you also are?”
YN, now looking at Harry with a hopeful and much less disappointed look, shook her head. His pep-talks would always help her. It was different from the one’s she had with her psychologist. But both were effective in their own way. Harry’s let her believe in herself, knowing no matter what there was that one person proud of her, cheering her up. Psychologist’s, on the other hand, helped her work on the emotions she had before, during and after matches, and acknowledged them at the end.
“A human. You’re the most gentle and loving human I’ve ever met. You feel your ups and downs ten times stronger than anyone else. And you care for others, sometimes more than you care for yourself. I am proud of you and nothing will change that. No match, no trophy, no point. No matter what, I am proud and I love you.”
The way those tears were falling down her cheeks and onto Harry’s lap, was not ideal but preferred to the ones from half an hour ago.
“I love you, Harry. I don’t know what I would do without your support. I really don’t.”
“Oh, you would’ve a queue of guys waiting for your attention,” he joked, finally earning a laugh from YN. Sound, he could never get tired of.
“Stop it!”
“Just telling the truth.”
Harry pecked her lips, and once more hugged her body to his. Her heartbeat finally steadied just like the breath. The warmth of her skin, even though not ideal, brought her comfort. Oh, how she wished they were just laying down in their bed.
“I really am proud of you, YN.”
“I love you.”
She wasn’t cured of the disappointment she had felt since getting off court. But she was assured that there really was someone for her, against the world, against her own judgmental mind.
Harry was there.

Wembley -Zerkaa

words: 0.9k+
warnings: pregnancy, implied anxiety.
summary: after you tell your husband that you’re going to be parents you decide to announce it at the sidemen charity match, that is of course, if he scores…
notes: okayyy… last charity match fic I promise! Though I got this request and just had to write it🥹. I hope you all enjoy!!🧸✨🫶🏼
"Josh... I'm pregnant," you quietly told your husband as you walked out of your ensuite bathroom holding a test. "What?" He rushed to sit up, his phone discarded to the other side of the bed. A smile spread across your face. "I'm pregnant!"
He jumped off of the bed to hug you. He squeezed you and spun you around. "Oh my god y/n!" He cheered happily. You hadn't exactly been trying but you'd spoken about it and decided that it'd just happen when it was meant to and here you were.
You'd both decided to keep it from the fans for as long as possible. You weren't on social media -other than a private account for friends and family- so it wasn't that hard to do. The sidemen boys were ecstatic when you told them, as were the girls. "Finally put the dick in, my broski!" Is what JJ had said.
When you reached five months you were having the conversation about possible ways to announce the pregnancy. "I mean... we could just do an insta post, a little boring though," you said as your head lay in Joshes lap, while he watched tv on the sofa.
He perked up suddenly. You could practically envision the light bulb turning on in his brain. "Okay, what about we do it at the charity match...? I'd do the ball under the shirt celebration if I was to score," He proposed.
You liked the idea, all the attention on Josh while you just got to watch, plus he had a pretty great chance of actually scoring since he was going to be the striker. "That's perfect."
When the day of the match came around you could tell Josh was nervous. He had so much pressure on him, being the only sideman not to score and all. But you were able to reassure him and told him to try to enjoy the day.
You didn't take your eyes off of your husband for the entire game. During the whole first half the boys were doing everything possible to get Josh his goal, but all the attempts were futile.
You got a message from Tobi ten minutes into halftime saying that Josh wasn't in a great way and asking if you could give him a pep-talk. You ended up going all the way down to the changing rooms.
"Hi," you greeted Josh gently. "What're you doing down here?" He asked, standing up straight after he'd been leaning against the hallway wall, just outside the entrance to the sidemen's team changing rooms.
"Tobi said you needed a pep-talk," you replied while intertwining your fingers with his. "Right... yeah, I'm slightly shitting myself," He sighed. You wrapped your arms around him in a comforting hug.
"Remember I told you to enjoy it? It doesn't matter if you don't score but you definitely won't if you psych yourself out too much," you attempted to reassure him. He nodded, instantly looking more confident. "Okay, enjoy. I love you and I'll see you after." You kissed his cheek before quickly getting back up to your seat.
You managed to catch JJ performing 'the thick of it' and you mouthed the words through the entire thing, though the songs a little cringe you can't deny the catchiness of it and it seemed like the entire stadium was also singing along.
When the match started up again you were knocked right back into focus. The moment the sidemen team got given a penalty and you saw your husband, Josh, walking up to take it you could barely contain yourself.
You watched on the screen as he took two deep breath. Your hand subconsciously circled your rounded stomach as you watched, Talia -your pregnancy buddy- sat next to you, also on the edge of her seat.
When he took the shot and scored you jumped up and cheered louder than you ever had before, your hands clapping together like an excited seal as relief flooded your body. The crowd was electric as everyone had been waiting for him to have his moment.
He stepped forward, grabbed the ball, shoved it under his shirt and ran to the corner flag, then he pulled a little white baby grow out of his pocket that read 'baby Zerkaa 2025!'.
Somehow the crowd managed to cheer even louder than when the ball hit the back of the net. All of his, and the other team celebrated with him. Some of the players that were unaware of the baby looked even more shocked than the crowd.
Within minutes your phone began blowing up with messages from anyone and everyone, congratulating you and Josh. "That was so fucking sweet y/n!" Talia hugged you as tears lined her lash line.
After the match it only took Josh around fifteen minutes from leaving the pitch to go and find you. He had a cheesy smile on his face when you saw him. "God I love you," he whispered into your hair when he finally hugged you, all the nerves from earlier nowhere to be found.
He took you down to the changing rooms so you could tell the boys something that you'd been keeping a secret for the past few weeks. Some of the players were already gone but the six sidemen were still there since Josh had asked them to wait.
"So, we wanted to tell you that we're having..." the boys gasped, eyes widening in anticipation. "A boy!" Josh practically yelled. "No fucking way!" "The first sideman junior!" "Ayyy! I'm so happy for you both!" They cheered excitedly.
You looked to Josh, as they flailed about, and smiled, you'd never felt happier. And the way he was looking back at you, you knew he thought the same and you were one hundred percent right.

DISTRACTIONS X | LET ME BACK IN
pairing: jamie tartt x f!reader (ted lasso)
rating: T
word count: 8,787
summary: jamie’s upset that you’re keeping secrets from him and keeping him a secret. you need to find a way to fix everything.
A/N: Thank you all for your reactions on the last chapter. Even if you’re mad at the reader, I love that you guys care so much about her and Jamie. I hope despite the angst this chapter makes it a bit better...here we goooooo! xo
distractions masterlist | previous chapter
Something was wrong with Jamie. And you had a feeling it was your fault.
After you returned from your interview with the publishing house in New York, Jamie started acting differently. He was quiet and distant. When you tried to ask him about it, he brushed you off. At first you thought something had happened, and that he’d eventually tell you what was wrong in his own time. But that was a week ago and he still hadn’t given you any explanation as to what was making him act like this.
You think maybe he’s caught on to your own secrets, such as the job opportunity you still weren’t telling him about. The interview had gone well, so much so, that you were about to have your second. You had talked yourself up to telling him about it before then, but since he was already not talking to you, you didn’t want to make matters worse. Or you were using Jamie’s feelings as a perfect excuse to delay the inevitable. Either way, you weren’t any closer to explaining your behavior than he was explaining his.
It was eating you up inside. You wanted to ask what was wrong, but you couldn’t bear the answer. You figured he was mad at you for all the secrets surrounding your relationship, and in a perfect world you’d give in and tell him everything. But you seized up every time you thought about doing so. It only made you feel even worse that he was pushing you away, and you were helpless to do anything about it. His behavior hurt you, but you couldn’t help but feel like you deserved it, so you took it.
It was clear communication was something you both needed to work on.
You also didn’t want to pry too much because you figured AFC Richmond’s upcoming match against Man City was also getting to him.
In the bits and pieces he’s told you about his dad, you knew he hadn’t seen him since they had it out when they played at Wembley. They were also going to Jamie’s hometown, and the die-hard Man City fans weren’t particularly thrilled when Jamie left the team for his brief reality tv stint. You can’t imagine how all of this is weighing on his chest. You imagine it's pretty hard, and again you just wish he’d come talk to you about it.
Today you decided to try giving Jamie complete space by not reaching out, with the hopes that maybe he would do so himself. In an effort to not sit around and wait by your phone, you go out to lunch with Keeley and Rebecca to enjoy your day off.
Turns out it's exactly what you needed. Not only were you dying for a good meal - that Rebecca was paying for - you were in desperate need of girl talk. You were thrilled to catch up with both of them, and were even more excited to hear that Rebecca was investing in Keeley’s PR company so it didn’t have to completely shut down. You were also very intrigued when Rebecca made reference to Roy spending the night with Keeley a few nights ago, and upon questioning from both of you, Keeley played coy as to whether that meant her and the brooding football coach were getting back together.
Unfortunately, that’s when the topic changed to your own romantic endeavors. Both of your friends inquired about how you and Jamie were doing. At first, you plastered on a polite smile, but you knew you wouldn’t be able to convince them everything was okay if you couldn’t even convince yourself. As soon as your faux-smile flips into a wobbling frown, both women sit up and are at the ready to comfort you.
“We’re actually not great right now,” you choke out, feeling yourself becoming emotional about everything for the first time. Determined not to cry, you bite your tongue, “Jamie’s been distant lately and I’m pretty sure it's my fault.”
“Oh, babe,” Keeley sighs, brushing a piece of hair behind your ear, “What makes you say that?”
You take a deep breath, “First, that I’ve still been hesitant to tell everyone about us.”
Rebecca frowns from her seat on the other side of you, grasping your hand, “I’m sure he understands why you want to wait.”
“But I don’t even fully understand why,” you sigh, squeezing her hand, “And it's not just that. I’ve been lying to him about something else, too.”
Rebecca and Keeley remain quiet, giving you the space to admit it yourself. After collecting yourself, you begin to explain how you were interviewing for a literary job in New York, thanks to a friend back home. You told them it was going well, and that you had another interview set up in a couple days, and while you were excited to have a job in your dream career field, there was also something holding you back. And you didn’t want Jamie to worry about you moving away, especially if you didn’t know whether or not that was going to happen yet. But you fear he’s caught on to the sneaking around and is upset with you.
You take a deep breath, after you word vomit every worry you were feeling. You were staring at the table throughout your whole explanation, and when you finally look up at them, they’re exchanging looks with each other.
“What?” you whisper, “Do you think I’m a horrible person?”
They rush to assure you they do not in fact think you’re horrible at all. They completely understand why you’ve been keeping this to yourself, but admit that it probably isn’t making Jamie feel good that you’re keeping something from him, even though he doesn’t know what it is.
“I know its scary,” Keeley says softly, now holding on to your other hand, “But I don’t think Jamie will react as badly as you think. Yeah, he’d probably hate the idea of you leaving, but he’s also so supportive of you. You know that.”
You nod, “I do know that. I think it's just the last time I told someone I was with that I wanted to go after a new job, he made me feel like shit.”
Keeley scoffs, “Well that guy was an asshole and he’s not Jamie.”
“I know.” You repeat, firmly this time. Hesitantly, you turn your focus to Rebecca, “What about you? Are you upset that I've been considering another job?”
“Please, I’ve been waiting for this day to come since you started,” Rebecca chuckles, “You and I both knew this was just temporary, until you were in a better place to go after what you really wanted. I’m proud that you’re making those steps now.”
You close your eyes, absorbing her kind words. While it was reassuring to hear, it didn’t make any of this easier.
“Even if it was supposed to be temporary, that didn’t stop me from finding the best people I’ve ever met,” you squeeze both of their hands, “I don’t want to leave any of you just as much as I don’t want to leave Jamie, even if it's what I’ve always wanted.”
Rebecca and Keeley exchange another look, this time with small smiles forming on their faces.
“What if we told you, you could do both?” Keeley asks mysteriously.
You narrow your eyes, “What? Did you suddenly invent teleportation or something?”
“No, better,” she smiles proudly, “I recently took on a new client who’s an up-and-coming author from Wales, who is signed under this major agency here is London. So, because I’m the best person ever, I reached out to his agent and told her all about you and the book you’re working on, and she’s interested in meeting with you.”
“A literary agent, in the U.K., is interested in meeting with me?” you ask, dumbfounded.
Keeley nods aggressively and Rebecca gives you a huge grin.
“So, if they like my work, they could potentially sign me, and I could stay in Richmond?”
“Yup,” Keeley confirms, “And then when you eventually finish your incredible book, I can be your publicist!”
You laugh in disbelief, “I don’t know what to say.”
“Say you’ll think about it,” Rebecca says, “We know New York was where you wanted to be and maybe that’s still your dream, and we’d 100% support you. But if staying in Richmond is where you want to be now, you can do that too and still pursue writing.”
“Yeah, we love you, and we just want you to be happy,” Keeley assures, “Although, selfishly, I’d want you to stay here but that's just me.”
“No, I second that.” Rebecca quips.
“But totally no pressure,” Keeley tacks on, and after a beat, the three of you burst into a fit of giggles.
“Thank you, both,” you smile genuinely, “For everything but mostly being so supportive. I appreciate you looking out for me, and I will definitely consider meeting with that agent.”
“Good,” Rebecca cheers, pulling her hand from yours to clap hers together, “Everything will work out, career wise and with Jamie, too. I know it.”
Keeley squeezes your hand again, before returning to finishing her brunch, and your conversation swings back to what Rebecca has had going on. While you still needed to fix things with Jamie, as well as figure out what the hell you wanted to do with your writing, you had a feeling no matter what happened, everything would be okay.
Contrary to feeling more confident in your situation, it had only gotten worse. Over the last few days, Jamie had gone from distancing himself from you to completely ghosting you. Your attempts at reaching out weren’t completely ignored, but his responses were minimal and you could tell were excuses. At work he’d avoid you, and when you invited him over, he’d say he was either tired from training or doing extra training. Again, you couldn’t pretend it didn’t sting, but you tried to push it all away, hoping after the Manchester game, he’d start feeling differently.
Meanwhile, you were also grappling with not one, but two job opportunities. The one Kara presented was in your dream city, but the one Keeley offered would keep you here with your new found-family. Both were appealing, but both scared the shit of you. Moving to yet another city was a big deal, but staying in one just for someone else was a mistake you’ve made before. Not that Jamie was at all like Mason. You knew that above all else. But it was still something to consider. Plus, it was anxiety inducing having two of your friends get you these chances that felt a little unearned, especially with how you’ve been handling everything. It was a lot to process, and the one person who usually helps you relax was avoiding you. By no fault but your own.
Jesus, you were getting no work done today, with all of these other problems taking up space in your brain. Plus you were hiding from Ted’s mom in an effort to keep your secret, because she in fact did not know about everything.
“Oi!” you jump at the sound of your office door being busted open, a booming voice accompanying it, “You need to fix your boyfriend.”
With your hand over your chest, trying to settle your racing heart, you give Roy Kent an apprehensive look, your eyes flitting to the hallway behind him.
Roy rolls his eyes, “Most of the team has cleared out for the night. No one’s going to hear us.”
Still, he invites himself into the room and pushes the door shut rather aggressively, before plopping himself down in the seat across from yours with his arms crossed.
You calm down a bit, but you still feel nervous with the glare he was giving you. Did his eyebrows get thicker?
“What do you mean?” you ask eventually, wondering if you come off like you don’t know exactly what he’s talking about.
“Tartt,” Roy spits out, “He just spent the last fifteen minutes crying into my arms.”
Your face falls, “He did?”
“Yeah. Said he’s lost his wings.”
“Jesus,” you mutter with a frown. “Did he tell you why he feels like that?”
Roy shakes his head, “He says he doesn’t even know.” You bite your lip, breaking eye contact with him. He tilts his head, “Something tells me you might have an idea.”
You sigh, crossing your own arms before looking at him again, “He’s been acting off the last week or so.” Roy nods. “I think it has something to do with the Man City match coming up.”
Roy grunts, “That doesn’t surprise me.”
You hesitate before adding on, “And I probably have something to do with it, too.”
Roy furrows his brows again, “What did you do?”
You grit your teeth, “I think it's more about what I’m not doing. I’ve had some personal stuff I’ve been sorting through recently that I’ve been keeping to myself. And I can tell he’s been wanting to tell everyone about us even though he says it's fine that we’re not.”
“So?” Roy shrugs, “Just fucking tell everyone.”
“It's not that simple.”
“Why not?” he questions, “Are you embarrassed of him or something?”
“No! Of course not. I do want people to know.”
“Then why not tell people?”
“Because every time I think about telling anyone - the team, my family - I get this horrible feeling in my chest and I feel like I can’t breathe. I don’t know why, but it freaks me out.”
Roy’s silent for a second before letting out a “Huh.” Another moment goes by, “You should talk to Ted about that.”
Inwardly you laugh. Oh, how that was only another part of the problem. A problem you still didn’t understand the root of.
“Either way,” Roy continues, “I think you should at least tell Jamie this. He needs you.”
“Don’t you think I’ve tried?” you say, “He’s barely talked to me the last few days, and when he does it's nothing of substance. I want to help him but I don’t know how to get him to let me.”
Once again Roy doesn’t say anything right away. You instead decide to break the silence this time.
“Maybe Keeley would be able to get through to him,” you suggest softly, “She already kind of knows something’s up and she’s known him longer. Maybe he’ll listen to her.”
Roy looks as apprehensive about the idea as you sound, but you both know it's not a bad one. Eventually he nods and stands up.
“I’ll ask her,” he states. You take that as the end of your conversation before Roy turns back in your direction in the doorway, “You’re going to have to talk to him eventually. Jamie may be stubborn and weird and a fucking idiot sometimes, but you’re important to him. He’ll come around.”
You give him a slight smile, though it's a bit forced, and thank him. He nods once, his lip quirking up a bit in what must be his version of a smile, before he disappears down the hall.
Maybe if you couldn’t fix Jamie someone else could.
Apparently no one knew how to fix Jamie.
While you hadn’t heard from him into the next day, Roy and Keeley had informed you she’d try to talk to him when everyone arrived in Man City. You waited in the suite you were sharing with her and Rebecca, anxiously hoping she’d come back and announce he was magically doing better. But, when she quietly entered the hotel room, the look on her face told you everything.
“He’s still upset?” You question already knowing the answer.
Keeley regretfully nods, “And I think I made it worse.”
“How could you have possibly made it worse?” you exclaim.
“I didn’t mean to!” Keeley cries, her hands shaking, “But there’s team movie night, tonight, right? Maybe some time with the team and a good, old-fashioned rom-com will cheer him up.”
“I don’t know, Keeley,” you sigh. You hesitate for a few seconds, before asking, “Did he say anything about me?”
Keeley looks at the carpeted floor, “Not really. I brought you up - said you were worried about him - and he just looked sad and didn’t say anything.”
“Fuck,” you breath out, collapsing backwards on your bed, “Did I break him?”
“No,” Keeley urges, jumping on to the bed beside you, “Trust me it can’t be just your shit. The boy is unhinged right now.”
You snort despite the situation.
“Come on,” Keeley nudges you, “Let's get a drink, relax a little, go to the movie night and see if we can’t talk to him after, yeah?”
You sigh again, before reluctantly nodding and letting her pull you up and out of the room.
Jamie needed to clear his head. Contrary to what he had hoped, a team viewing of You’ve Got Mail was not enough to lift his spirits. In fact, he could hardly get through five minutes of the movie without thinking of you. And thinking of you came with a reminder of how you’d been hiding things from him, and then how he’d cowardly been avoiding you instead of facing the problem head on. Of course those anxieties also doubled when he remembered the game he was playing this weekend.
He felt guilty for shutting you out. Of course he did. He honestly hadn’t meant for it to get this far, he was just trying to figure out how to bring it all up. But then he started spiraling about returning to his home town and seeing his dad that it all became too much. He wanted nothing more than to talk to you about his worries, but you were apart of the reason he was so anxious. He could sense your own guilt - especially during the movie when he could feel your eyes staring at the back of his head. But he was still afraid of where the conversation would lead, so he once again pushed those feelings away.
Jamie knew there was one place he could go that would instantly make him feel better. And that was his mother’s house.
As soon as the credits rolled, Ted was calling for a 10PM curfew, but Jamie was on his way out. He expertly navigated the streets of Manchester, hoodie pulled over his head to avoid unwanted attention. About halfway through his commute, he caught onto the fact that you, Roy, and Keeley were trailing him. Despite his avoidance of all three of them, he couldn’t help but feel amused that they were trying to sneakily follow him.
After leading them through a tunnel, in which the trio lost track of him, he doubled back and snuck up on them. Once again, he was satisfied that he’d managed to startle the three, but then he noticed the worry on your face, and he was reminded of the situation you were all in. He briefly considered ordering them away, until Keeley asked if he was buying drugs, so he figured ridding them of any weird suspicions they may have about him would get them off of his back.
As he led them unknowingly to his mum’s house, he felt a pain in his stomach knowing you were purposely leaving space between the two of you as you followed behind. He wanted nothing more than to take your hand, but just because you felt bad about hiding things from him, didn’t absolve you of everything.
When they arrived on his street, a few of the neighborhood kids started yelling obscenities at him. Jamie just shook his head, knowing as well that Roy was definitely amused, before walking them over to his house.
Simon, his step-dad, greets them warmly and Jamie introduces them to his three confused companions. Then before he knows it, his mum is bounding down the stairs and all of his anxiety begins to melt away as she engulfs him into her arms.
Pulling away briefly, he turns back to see the curious looks on your faces, “Mummy, I’d like to introduce you to my friends, Y/N, Keeley and this hairy prick’s Roy.”
You smile sweetly in recognition as you all greet Jamie’s mom, but Jamie can tell you’re still caught off guard.
“It’s lovely to meet you all. I’d give you a hug but I’m not letting go of this one,” Jamie’s mom, Georgie, says cheerfully before Jamie picks her up and spins her around.
The lot of you end up in the living room after that, Jamie collapsing in his mother’s arms on the couch as Simon serves the rest of you with some of his homemade sweet treats. After Jamie tells her about the jerks online making fun of his hair, Georgie suggests that Simon give the rest of you a tour of the house. As they all file out, Jamie looks up at you. You give him a tiny smile; one that somehow conveyed guilt, sorrow, and support. Jamie was both happy you were here and scared as hell about where this night was going to go.
Now left alone with his mum, she finally presses Jamie to confess to what has been bothering him. He begins to explain how ever since he stopped playing football to spite his dad, he’s begun to feel like he’s lost his passion; that his heart wasn’t in it.
Georgie frowns and holds her son closer. She lets him know that whether or not Jamie was the way he was in spite of his father, he was an amazing human. She also admits to how emotional she was when she saw him play for England. She assured him that even if his dad was in the stands tomorrow, drunk and screaming at him, it didn’t matter. He had nothing to prove to him. Even if he was feeling lost, she was positive he’d find his way eventually.
Jamie instantly felt comforted by his mum’s words, hugging her tighter. He knew that no matter what happened with his dad, he’d always have her and she’d always be his biggest fan.
After her speech, they sit in silence for a few moments, with his mum brushing her fingers through his hair.
“Jamie, is something else bothering you other than your dad?” she asks softly.
Jamie plays with the strings of his sweatshirt, not even sure where to begin when it comes to you. He hadn’t told his mum about you officially, but he certainly hadn’t shied away from mentioning you over phone calls the duration that you’d been here.
“There’s also a girl,” he says slowly, “That I’ve been seeing the last couple months.”
He can feel his mum smirk into his hairline, “One of the girls that came here with you tonight?” Jamie already knows his mum knows about Keeley, but he still clarifies that it's you. “And you like her?”
Jamie sighs. Like doesn’t even begin to cover it. “I’m mad for her.”
“So what’s the problem?”
“I think she’s hiding some things from me,” he admits quietly, “And she’s also been keen on keeping our relationship a secret from most of our friends and I dunno why. I’m afraid she’s ashamed of me.”
“But she treats you well? Makes you happy?”
“Yeah.”
“Then she’s probably just scared, babe,” she tries to soothe his worries, “I doubt she’s keeping things a secret for any reason to hurt you.”
“But why would she be scared?” he questions, “I’m not going anywhere. I’m not going to hurt her. I’ve done and said everything to make sure she knows that. Well, up until I started avoiding her the last few days.”
Georgie shakes her head at that last bit, but ignores it, “It doesn’t matter what you say. If voices in her head are telling her otherwise, they’re still going to be louder than any other voice even if it's unreasonable. This is the girl you told me about right? The one with the asshole boyfriend from America?”
“Ex-boyfriend,” Jamie mutters making his mother chuckle.
“She’s probably still reeling from the way he treated her. Even if you prove that you’re not anything like him, it's still gonna take some time for her to fully trust you. Or anyone. You need to be patient with her, love.”
Jamie sighs. He knows she’s right. He has his own voices in his head working against him half the time, he should be more understanding of whatever is going on in your own head. He gets that you’ve been fucked over before, and you’re definitely putting up walls because of it. He just wishes there was something he could do or say that would erase all of the emotional scars you had. But again, maybe that was something you could work on together. He just needed to actually step up and talk to you.
Even though you and Jamie have been in a rocky place, you are enjoying the tour of his childhood home. There are so many little things throughout the house that give you a glimpse into Jamie’s life, you try to memorize it all. You’re loving everything you learn, that is, until you make it to Jamie’s room and see the poster of Keeley with two footballs covering her breasts. You feel a little weird seeing a picture of your friend and boyfriend's ex in his childhood bedroom, but part of you is equally amused, especially with Keeley’s reaction. And then there’s an old photo of Roy pinned right beside it that completes it all.
Simon leaves the three of you alone to check on his baked goods in the oven. You eventually excuse yourself to the bathroom in order to gather your thoughts, but also to give Roy and Keeley the chance to talk. You’ve been sensing the tension between them all night, despite their insistence on just being friends.
As soon as you shut yourself in the hall bathroom, you stare at your face in the mirror. You look downright exhausted. And you were. All of the worrying you were doing about Jamie, on top of the shit you were keeping from him, was weighing heavily on you. Seeing him turn into a little kid in the presence of his mom both melted and broke your heart. He was clearly hurting for a million reasons, and it killed you to even be one. It also hurt you when he introduced you to his mom as a friend, but it was your own doing.
Splashing water on your face, you begin to question everything. Why did you really want to keep your relationship with Jamie a secret? You have half a mind to send an email blast to the entire club right now saying you’re together, but even the half-baked idea makes your stomach hurt. But why? Why couldn’t you just be a normal person and tell the world you had a boyfriend. It wasn’t a big deal.
Except it was. Because it was Jamie. And with all his quirks and occasionally prick-like qualities, you adored him. More than you’ve ever adored anyone. It was the biggest deal in the world and you didn’t want to risk messing it up.
But you already have.
That’s it, you decide, staring your reflection down as you dry your face with a hand towel. You were going to tell Jamie everything. About Ted. About your job conundrum. And then once the air was cleared and Jamie - hopefully - still wanted to be with you, you’d hopefully feel better and be able to tell the world. You don't give yourself the chance to change your mind. As soon as you were back in Richmond you would talk. But hopefully you get the chance to at least apologize to him tonight. If he lets you.
You don’t have to wonder about that long. As you exit the bathroom, you nearly run full force into Jamie, but he gently grabs your arms to steady you.
Your heart doesn’t settle though, as you find yourself alone with Jamie for the first time in what feels like ages.
“Hi,” you breathe out shakily, studying his eyes for any sign of what he might say to you.
“Hi,” he repeats just as quietly, slowly and reluctantly, removing his arms from around you.
After a few seconds of silence, both of you open your mouths to apologize, but as soon as the words ‘i’m sorry’ leave his lips, you’re frowning.
“Jamie, you have nothing to be sorry for,” you insist, “You’re the one who’s been hurting these last couple weeks, and I have been the one to make it worse.”
Jamie shakes his head, “But I do have a reason. I fucked up. I should have just told you what was bothering me instead of pushing you away. You don’t deserve that.”
“I-”
“You don’t.” he states, leaving no room for argument.
You swallow thickly, “Why did you? Push me away, I mean?”
Jamie shrugs his shoulders, “I think I was afraid if I confronted the issue, that’d you tell me you didn’t want to be with me or something. So I just shoved it all down. But that clearly didn’t help.”
You sigh, “I get that. I still want to be with you, though, just so you know.”
The corner of Jamie’s lips lift, but it's still wobbly, “What has been going on with you then? I know you’re keeping something from me, and I know it has something to do with why you don’t want to tell anyone about us. I want to respect your decision, but it honestly has been killing me not telling anyone.” Jamie’s voice gets small, “Is it me? Are you embarrassed of me? Am I not good enough?”
“No, Jamie,” you step forward and gently place your hands on his face, relieved he doesn’t push you away, “You know that’s not it. I like you so much and I’m proud to be with you.”
“Then why don’t you want anyone to know?”
“You want the honest answer?” He nods. “I don’t know,” you whisper, “It scares me, Jamie. I don’t know why, but the idea of more people knowing makes me even more afraid of losing you somehow. I know that doesn’t make sense, but for whatever reason, keeping to our bubble makes me feel like I can protect us from anything bad happening.”
“Babe?” he quips quietly, “Something did happen. That’s why we’re having this conversation.”
You sigh, defeated, “I know. I told you I’m bad at this.”
Jamie frowns and wraps you in his arms, “You’re not any worse than me. We just need to talk to each other.”
“Yeah,” you nod into his shoulder, “I promise I have more I want to tell you - and I will actually tell you - but it’d probably be better to do once we’re back home.”
Jamie’s heart swells. He knows you don’t mean anything by the word home, but he can’t help but feel comforted by the phrasing. “That sounds good,” he says softly, pulling back slightly so he can see your face, “Promise me, it's nothing bad. Like, you’re not seeing someone else, and you’re not wanted for murder, right?”
You laugh, despite the weight of the situation, “No, it's none of those things.”
“Good,” Jamie smiles softly, “And I promise not to ignore you the next time I’m upset.”
“Thank you,” you give him your own watery smile, “Are you going to be okay, tomorrow? At the game, potentially seeing your dad?”
“I don’t know. I hope so,” he answers honestly, “Seeing mum always helps.”
Your smile widens, “Yeah. Your mom is wonderful. I’m really glad you have her.” You brush a few strands of hair out of his face, “I also promise next time we visit it will be under better circumstances, and you won’t have to introduce me as your friend.”
Jamie grins, “Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m still okay with waiting as long as you need,” Jamie adds, “I’m scared, too. Also eager to brag about my insanely hot girlfriend everywhere I go. But I can wait. As long as you need.”
You giggle, “Thank you.”
“Alright, let’s get Keeley and Roy, and get out of here.” Jamie states, making a move in the direction of his bedroom. However, you tug him back.
“One more thing,” you whisper, before planting your lips on his for a long awaited kiss. When you eventually part, you both smile, “I missed that.”
“Me too,” Jamie nods before pressing his forehead against yours, “Never going that long without doing that ever again.”
You chuckle and agree, before you both part to collect Roy and Keeley. When you reenter Jamie’s room, you find the pair with their hands interlocked. They react as if they were in the middle of something - which they clearly were - but Keeley stands up and drags you out of the room, leaving the boys behind. You make a mental note to ask her about that later.
Outside o the house, the four of you say goodbye to Jamie’s mom and step-dad. His mom surprises you and gives you an extra tight hug. You have a feeling she probably already knows a thing or two about your relationship with Jamie. You find yourself unbothered by this though, and hope you find yourself feeling this way about telling your own family soon.
You watch on and admire Jamie and his mother as they say goodbye. You’re once again so thankful he has a parent like her in his life, and that he’s clearly gotten the best parts of himself from her. He also definitely gained much of his confident arrogance from the way she talks about him, but he wouldn’t be Jamie without it so you can’t complain.
After one last wave, and a promise to return, the four of you head down the road, making plans to get a drink upon arrival back to the hotel.
The rest of the night you feel a sense of relief flood you. You and Jamie were okay. More than okay, in fact, you come to realize, when he’s propositioning you to come back to his room with him. A room he wasn’t sharing with a teammate, he’s sure to emphasize. You of course eagerly accept, and spend the night wrapped in Jamie’s arms before falling into a blissful sleep.
You find yourself thinking about your late night hook-up when you lie awake early the next morning. Things were different between you. They were more intimate, even by your standards. It was like you used your bodies to convey every ounce of how sorry you were, and how much you cared about one another. It was slow. Tender. Loving.
Before you can linger too much on that thought, Jamie’s eyes are fluttering open as he lays on the pillow next to you. As soon as he blinks the sleepiness out of his eyes, he gives you a warm smile, which you return.
“Good morning,” he whispers, running his fingers through your messy hair.
“Good morning to you, too.”
“I wish I could stay here with you all day, but…”
“You’ve got to get ready for the game.” you finish for him.
He nods regretfully before pushing himself out of bed. Before he can get too far, you reach for his arm.
“Will you be okay out there today?” you ask, once again.
And again, Jamie seems unsure, but he plasters another small smile on his face before leaning down to give you a kiss, “As long as you’re there watching, I’ll be fine.”
You can’t help but smile back, pecking him one last time before shooing him off to get ready.
With another moment alone, you once again feel relieved that you and Jamie are back in a better place. However, you feel that familiar ache in your chest that something is missing; that you still have things to make up for. You know you still have a lot to explain to him, but that could wait until tomorrow. You needed to see Jamie win this game first.
Richmond’s match against Man City on this day will go down as one of the most stressful football games you’ve ever witnessed.
Everything started out smoothly. You watched enthusiastically from a box, seated in between Keeley and Rebecca, with Higgins on her other side. Van Damme was blocking every attempt made by the opposing team, and Jamie assisted Colin in making the first goal of the match. As you and your friends cheered, Leslie was hesitant to celebrate in fear of jinxing the team, so he stayed frozen in place.
Unfortunately, things took a turn after that. It was like the whole stadium was against Jamie. From the moment he walked onto the pitch, angry Man City fans were booing and cursing his name. Not only that, it seemed like every player on Manchester’s side was out to get the footballer, knocking him down or stealing the ball every chance they got.
You watched on nervously, trying not to let it get to you. It was the name of the game. But it didn’t mean you had to like it.
Half way through the game, the worst of your fears happened. In an effort to prevent Man City from scoring, Jamie leapt to block the ball and hurt his ankle in the process. You watched with bated breath when he wouldn’t get up from his spot hunched behind the goal line. He brushed off Isaac’s attempts to help him, and eventually got up himself. You let out a sigh of relief, until after walking a few feet, Jamie is falling back onto the pitch and the medical team is rushing onto the field.
“Holy shit,” you mutter under your breath.
Keeley takes your hand in hers and gives it a squeeze. “Hey, it's okay. Jamie’s going to be okay.” But you can tell she sounds just as nervous as you feel.
You don’t know how long you’re waiting to see if Jamie will make it back up, but its torture. Ted is clearly banking on Jamie being able to play again, refusing to substitute anyone for him and having the team play with ten players instead of eleven. For their part, they’re holding down the fort, and Van Damme continues to block every shot. But you don’t care about the game, you just care about Jamie.
At this point, both Rebecca and Keeley have a hold on each of your hands as you watch the medics look after Jamie. You know the coaches must be getting restless, because Ted goes to talk to Jamie again. You wish nothing more than to be able to rush down onto the pitch and comfort him yourself, but you trust that Ted is giving him the pep talk he needs to hear.
And it seems as though you were right, because minutes after talking to Ted, Jamie is up and walking back onto the field, to the excitement of the crowd and his teammates.
You feel a weight lifted off of your shoulders, letting go of your friends’ hands to clap for him yourself.
“Yeah, let's go Jamie!”
It was as if the next few moments happen in slow motion. After defending another goal against Man City, Van Damme is sending the ball down the field to an open Jamie, who expertly navigates around several opponents to get towards Richmond’s goal. You watch in awe as Jamie scores the team’s second point, bad ankle and all, all on his own.
You practically fly out of your seat to cheer for him, screaming and jumping around with Keeley and Rebecca. In the midst of the stadium’s celebration, a whistle blows to finally send in Jamie’s substitution. Looking a bit shell-shocked and relieved, Jamie slowly makes his way off the field, but it's not without a proud send off from the entire crowd - including the Man City fans who were previously cheering against him.
Jamie’s touched face fills the jumbo-screen, and your heart swells with adoration. You know how much this has to mean to him. You also feel overcome with love for your uncle, who let Jamie have his moment before taking him out of the game.
You had never felt more proud of Jamie, and you were once again overcome with the urge to run to him.
You sit anxiously through the final moments of the game and rejoice in yet another celebration when the clock finally runs down and Richmond is declared the winner. Even as you embrace both of your friends in all the excitement, your thoughts are still consumed by Jamie.
You needed to see him.
You can hear your heart pounding in your ears, as you walk with Keeley, Rebecca, and Higgins down to the guest locker room. You try not to appear over-eager, wanting to remain in step with your friends, but you find it hard to resist the temptation to run ahead of them. After what feels like a trillion years, you make it to the locker room, finding the team’s celebration in full force. You break away from your group, as they go to congratulate the coaches. Part of you also desperately wants to talk to Ted, about a lot of things, but particularly how much you appreciate him for being there for Jamie tonight, but you had to see Jamie first. Your eyes scan the room as you walk through, congratulating Colin and Dani as you pass each of them, before you finally notice Jamie, towards the middle of the room. Sam had his arm around him, most likely supporting his teammate with his injury and all.
Not even really processing that your feet take you there, you find yourself in front of the footballers. Sam sees you first, giving you a blinding smile. You don’t hesitate to return it, but your attention is hard pressed on Jamie, and Sam seems to get the memo.
“You’re here!” Jamie exclaims, breathless from the excitement, and a bit confused about what you’re doing.
You nod, “Yeah,” you shout over the noise, a bit breathless yourself. “You were…incredible out there.”
Jamie squints at you, though he’s thankful for the compliment, “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” you bob your head up and down, still running on adrenaline.
Jamie’s confusion is palpable, but when he goes to say something else, you don’t give him the fucking chance.
Like a force, you wrap your arms around Jamie’s neck and pull him in for an earth-shattering kiss. You feel Jamie’s surprise, but it's short-lived as he wraps his own arms around your waist. You balance Jamie’s weight as Sam lets him go, only to start cheering for the two of you. This, of course, grabs the attention of the rest of the team, who immediately join in when they see what the two of you are doing.
You hear shouts of surprise and excitement, and a few people shaking your shoulders, but you couldn’t care less. Your focus was entirely on Jamie, who was giving you the best kiss of your life right now. Unfortunately, breathing was still a thing so you had to pull away. When you do, you can’t look away from Jamie’s eyes, that are once again overcome with emotion. You imagine you look the same.
“Is this really happening?” Jamie eventually gets out, shakily.
All you can do is nod again, with a breathless laugh, “I think so.”
Jamie eagerly kisses you again before engulfing you in the tightest hug. Into his shoulder, you whisper how proud you are of him, and he only squeezes you closer to him, if at all possible.
Over his shoulder, you notice the rest of the club. Roy and Keeley look on at you two happily - or as happy as Roy Kent can look. Higgins for his part looks delighted as well, and Rebecca looks proud as hell. Beard looks like he’s frozen in place from the shock. And Ted…
You hadn’t really thought about how you were doing this in front of Ted.
When you study him, he is exchanging a look with Rebecca, who shrugs her shoulders innocently. Ted looks back at you, a little bit stunned, and a little bit amused. When he makes eye contact, you find yourself opening your mouth as if you could explain from where you were through all the commotion. He just raises his hand, signaling there was no need to say or do anything, and then he gives you a supportive smile.
You are once again flooded with relief. You knew you would eventually have to talk to him about everything, and explain more to Jamie as well. But at this moment, everything felt right in the world for the first time in a long time.
The team’s victory celebration carries on throughout their bus trip back to Nelson Road and into the locker room as most of them get changed for a night out. Jamie elects to stay behind, wanting to rest his ankle, and also get a bit of alone time with you.
You help Jamie walk to the treatment room, before telling him you were going to grab something from your car. He, of course, doesn’t let you leave without pulling you in for another kiss. He’d been kissing you any chance he got all night, basking in the freedom he now had to do so as he pleased. You had to admit, you could definitely get used to all the affection.
For your part, though, you didn’t need anything in your car. You just wanted the chance to task Roy and Keeley to find some champagne, so Jamie could still have his own little celebration. But you also wanted to talk to Ted.
On your way to the coaches office, you pass Beard who is headed to the after party. When he clocks you, he gives you a wide eyed look.
“You, missy, are my shit list,” he states, crossing his arms.
“What for?” you cross your own arms, “You want Jamie all to yourself or something?”
“No, Jamie’s not my type,” he teases, “I’m hurt that you didn’t tell me.”
You chuckle, “To be fair, I didn’t tell a lot of people.”
“Still, I thought we were closer than that.”
You give him a smile, uncrossing your arms to touch his shoulder. “I promise the next time I secretly date a footballer on the team you coach, you’ll be the first to know.”
“Thank you,” he places his own hand over yours, before pointing a finger at you, “But this better be the first and only time that happens.”
You giggle again. He kisses your head, letting you know that he is very happy for you, before disappearing into the night, as Beard does.
That leaves you to find Ted alone in his office, packing up his bag. You knock on the doorframe, getting his attention, and immediately receiving a playful grin from him.
“There she is,” he sing-songs, “Mrs. Jamie Tartt.”
You scoff, “Woah. Woah. Woah. We aren’t betrothed.”
Ted snorts, “I know. I just like teasing you, Kiddo.”
You laugh lightly, before you decide that it's now or never to address the elephant in the room.
“I’m sorry for not telling you,” you say softly.
Ted shakes his head, “There’s nothing to apologize for.”
You nod, but you don’t feel any less sorry.
“Does Jamie know about our little family-affair?” Ted eventually asks.
You shake your head, “No. Was thinking I’d wait to tell him tomorrow, but…”
Ted nods, seemingly knowing exactly what you’re thinking, “You’re scared?”
“Yes,” you breathe out deeply, “But I don’t get it. I can’t tell him about you. I haven’t been able to tell you or Michelle or Dad and Pop about him. I really, really like him and I should be able to tell everyone that. But it terrifies me and I don’t understand why.
“I do,” Ted sticks his hands in his pockets and raises his shoulders, “Because as soon as you say something like that out loud, especially to the people who know and love you most, it makes it real. And that’s what's scary.”
You suck in a huge gulp of air, “Yes. That’s exactly how I’ve been feeling. I just didn’t know how to put it into words.”
Ted nods, continuing, “And telling family is twice as hard, because they’re the people who know you better than anyone else. They can call you on your bullshit, but they also know when something is the real deal. Which is probably why you never told us about what was really going on with Mason.”
You narrow your eyes at him, “How do you…”
“Rebecca may have mentioned a couple things in passing,” he admits, “She is not a fan of him to say the least. Rightfully so, it seems.”
“Yeah,” you agree shakily, “Even though Jamie is a lot different than Mason, I think I didn’t want to hear truths I wasn’t ready to accept yet.”
You did everything you could to keep your family and Mason out of the same room - and Mason made it easy - because you weren’t ready to have them all tell you how bad he was for you, even though you knew it deep down. But with Jamie, you just weren't ready to accept how important he was to you.
“It’s all understandable, Kiddo,” Ted states, “And I’m sorry that you went through that alone for a bit.”
You shrug it off, “I was okay. I wasn’t completely alone.”
Ted’s eyebrows raise, “Apparently so.”
You feel your cheeks get hot, “That’s not exactly what I mean, but yeah, Jamie was certainly nice to have around the last few months.”
Your uncle chuckles, “Well, I’m happy that you found each other. I know you don’t need my approval or anyone else's, but I think you two are really great for each other.”
Your stomach swirls, comforted by this notion. “Thank you. I think Jamie would be happy to hear that, too.”
“Well, I’ll be sure to let him know once you finally get your act together and introduce him to the family,” you roll your eyes, “Now, get outta here, Kiddo, and give that boy some company.”
You nod, taking a half step out the door before immediately spinning around to capture him in a big hug, “Love you, Uncle Ted.”
Ted sighs quietly, “Love you, too, Kiddo.”
Ted once again shoos you out of his office, and you bid him a goodnight, telling him to give Dottie a hug for you.
When you rejoin Jamie in the treatment room, you find him typing away on his phone. He pockets it when he notices you come in, and gives you a sweet smile.
As you join him on the infirmary bed he’s perched on, you press another chaste kiss to his lips. Jamie struggles to think of a time where’s been happier. He had you, and the rest of his people knew. He couldn’t ask for anything else. As you lean against his shoulder, and once again recount how proud you are of the game he played today, he can’t help but stare at you and take in just how special you are to him. He wants to find the words to express this to you, and a certain L word nearly leaves his lips, when he hears the door open to reveal Roy and Keeley.
Jamie looks up at them curiously, brushing off how flustered he is from his previous thoughts, “What are you two doing here?”
“I invited them,” you speak up, drawing his attention back to you as you give him a smile.
“Yeah, wanted to keep you company,” Keeley adds with a bright smile of her own.
Roy reveals a bottle of champagne from behind his back, “And fucking celebrate.”
Keeley squeals and claps as you squeeze him into a hug. While Jamie would have loved a night just the two of you, he can’t complain when he’s surrounded by a group of people who care about him. He never thought he’d be so lucky.
As Roy pops open the bottle and starts passing it around, you also can’t help but feel warmed by this moment. As the four of you share the champagne and joke around, you’re in disbelief that you’ve made it here; to be surrounded by genuine friends and a boy who was crazy about you. Not to mention becoming closer to your family again with Beard and Ted around. You still had a lot to sort out regarding your career, but one thought echoed through your brain the rest of that night:
Why would you ever want to leave this place?
A/N: THERE IT IS!! oof i poured my heart into this one and can’t wait to hear what you all think! the secret is out!!! mostly. ted has something to say next as well all know. anyway. TWO CHAPTERS LEFT!💗

The Wembley Aftermath
Synopsis: he won the ftw championship back and just like when he lost it, all he wants is you.
A/N: if you read comfort zone, you know what happened when he lost the title. This isn’t that. I had to channel my inner softie lovergirl so expect a lot of sweet shit in this one. Keep your eyes out for part 2. Enjoy babes happy ftw day 🖤🧡
“wish me luck lil mama”
The last message he sent floated on your screen for the better half of twenty minutes while your eyes were focused intently on the tv.
You were on the edge of your seat, gripping your phone with your slippery hand as you watched the match from thousands of miles away, just wishing you could be in that massive crowd cheering your man on with the rest of the eighty thousand plus fans.
As soon as the redrum was locked in you couldn’t contain your excitement. Tears were nearly brought to your eyes when Jack frantically tapped out, knowing how much this meant to Tyler and how long he waited to have his title back.
You felt your heart racing, unable to compose itself. He grabbed the belt and held it up for the world to see, and even though he appeared just as calm and collected on the outside as always, you knew that internally he was struggling to hold it all together.
As soon as he exited through the tunnel you opened his message, your thumbs struggling to type something comprehensively thanks to the jitters.
As you were deleting an unreadable attempt at congratulating him, his call was floating on the top of the screen.
You were quick to answer the facetime, grinning ear to ear when he appeared. Your smile instantly brought one of his own, and those dimples on full display for you to admire.
“Hey little mama” he beamed, attempting to steady his labored breathing as he headed to his dressing room.
“Hey champ” you brought on another one of his boyish grins that he attempted to hide from everyone backstage until he got to his room and shut the door.
He took a seat on the sofa and let an elongated, shaky sigh out.
“The ftw looks good on your shoulder again” you tell him, knowing and clearly seeing that he was still riled up and trying his hardest to steadily ride out that adrenaline.
He glanced to the side to admire it, his dimple indented deeply in his cheek as a prideful smirk slipped upon his lips.
“Feels good” he says, looking back down at you and your giddy smile. “Know what else looks good though?”
“What else?” You asked, cheeks flushing at the recognizable look in his eye.
“My girl and her cute ass smile. Would look even better if you were sitting here next to me right now.”
You dropped your head down, trying to hide the crimson blush on your cheeks.
“You know I wish I could be there.” You say as you lean back against the couch cushions, wishing this conversation wasn’t being had over your phone. “But you probably would’ve been annoyed by me screaming at the top of my lungs during your match.”
“You know that’s not true. I love it when you scream for me.” He smirks, his eyes flashing with that familiar gleam you’ve seen so many times. You felt your cheeks physically hurting from the wide, goofy grin you couldn’t contain and it only brought on yet another one to his face.
“Tyler-“
“Actually, scratch that. I love it when I make you scream for me.”
“Tyler!” You gaped, shaking your head.
“I’m just being honest.” He shrugs as he grabs the belt and places it down next to him, where he wishes you were sitting instead.
“Yeah, I know.” You deadpan. “But right now you’re about four thousand miles away from me and the last thing I need is for you to get me all worked up when you’re not even here to take care of it.”
“So you’re getting all worked up right now?” He raises his brows, holding that infamous, cocky grin on his face.
You hesitated before you spoke, pretty sure that he was thinking of accepting a little challenge you never initiated.
“A little. I just miss you.” You admitted.
“I miss you.” He quickly says back. “I’ll be there in a couple days though. Think you can wait that long?”
You shook your head, internally groaning at the fact that you still had two more days before he’d be making a quick stop to see you. There was just so much to make up for and so little time to do it.
“No? You can’t wait?” He tilts his head to the side. Before you get the chance to say anything back, hes getting off the sofa and walking to some other part of the dressing room.
You can hear things rummaging around but only had a view of the ceiling.
“What are you doing?” You asked.
“Packing up my stuff.” He says before he sets the phone down on a table. You watched as his clothes passed over the screen, getting stuffed messily in his suitcase.
After a few minutes he appears in the camera view again, now with a shirt on and his backpack straps over his shoulders.
He grabs his sunglasses and slides them over his eyes before he looks back down at you.
“Where are you going?” You asked. “The show isn’t even over yet.”
“They won’t notice I’m gone. Keep your door unlocked. I’ll be there pretty late.”
“Are you serious?” You could hardly contain your excitement, feeling butterflies immediately swirling around your stomach. “But I thought you had a couple more days left in London? Don’t you have appearances or-“
“I have priorities.” He cuts you off, “Specifically, you.”
You heard something else in the background the second he said that. Three knocks on the door before he called whoever in, and it ended up being Taz.
Evidently he took one look at his son’s attire and said, “Where you runnin’ off to? Going out to celebrate already? I told you I’d buy you some drinks tonight after we leave.”
He placed the phone down and you listened quietly.
“I’m leaving a little early.” He tells his dad. “But when we get back home I’ll be up for those drinks.”
Taz eyed his son skeptically before those suspicious glances averted over to his phone, where you were still on the screen.
“Oh, I see.” He nods. “Yn, nice to see you honey. Wish you could’ve been here in person. Tyler’s been talking non stop about you since-“
“Alright she gets it.” Tyler cuts him off, grabbing his phone and showing his dad in your camera view.
“I wish I could’ve been there too, but next time I will be for sure!” You tell him.
“God I hope so. I don’t think my son can take it if you’re not. Been walking around all day like a lost puppy-“
“Alright thanks dad” he turns the camera back on him, shaking his head.
“Anyway baby, I’ll be seeing you soon. Get some sleep before I get there so you’ll be ready when I-“ he cuts himself off when he realizes he was about to say something he never should in front of his dad.
“I’ll call you back when I board the plane.” He improvises. Your wide, grin brought one last smile to his face when you nod, saying your goodbyes before he hangs up the phone.
“This might come back to bite you in the ass son. But I’m not stopping you.” Taz tells him, holding both hands up.
“If I get in a little trouble, it’s worth it.”
“That’s what your mother and I said too, then you came along.” Taz lets out a hearty laugh, and Tyler shoots him a perplexed look.
“I’m teasing you son. Go have a good time with your girl. I’ll tell everyone you got sick or something. Got bit by the love bug.”
“Alright dad let’s stop with the lame jokes.” Tyler teased as he reached out and opened the door.
“Wasn’t even making a joke that time though”

Yuta has been a key part of Bryan’s road to Wembley from the beginning. He was the catalyst for Bryan to enter the Owen Hart tournament, after Bryan saw how fired up his was to come back after being injured
Prior to Bryan’s first Owen match with Shingo at FD, Yuta gets targeted in an in-ring segment that very much mirrored last year’s pre-FD segment with Bryan, Yuta, and Okada.

Bryan cuts a promo afterward feeling angry and protective because he knows someone who just came back from injury was in harms way for him.
In the middle of all of this, Nigel is continuing to say on Collision that Wheeler should break away from the BCC and go out on his own. In the middle of all this, he drops the Pure belt but not before he does the Cattle Mutilation, Bryan’s signature submission hold, during the match with Lee.

Then on Rampage, Bryan accompanies Yuta for his match against the Butcher and then goes on comm where he talks about how they’ve been training so much together, and working on a lot of things. One of those is revealed to be Wheeler using the Cattle Mutilation again, and this time he’s able to get it for the win.
Bryan is ridiculously proud.
The next night on Collision a promo drops of Bryan and Wheeler training together to get Bryan ready for Swerve and Wembley, not unlike when Bryan was getting Mox ready for Windy City.
Again, throughout this Nigel is still instigating that Yuta should break away, despite the two of them seeming stronger than ever.
On Dynamite, Bryan has his Anything Goes match with Jarrett, and Yuta runs out after to check on him. Swerve comes out, decides maybe he needs his own ‘get ready’ match and chooses Yuta. And tells Bryan he has to watch as he dismantles him.

Yuta is more than ready, Bryan calms him down telling him to wait until next week.

The next day it’s announced Bryan will be on commentary for Rampage again

So now we have a situation where Yuta, coming off an injury, could potentially get hurt again for Bryan while Bryan watches on.
See rampage commentary:
Possibility the way they play this is Yuta gets “injured”, Bryan feels guilty but more than that he feels fucking pissed and now there’s real heat behind their match.
Also: Claudio will be in the building next week, perhaps Mox returns? maybe there’s hangman interference? I believe a lot could go down at the end of this match to drive things into a fever pitch.
ETA: how it went down with swerve - the dragon was unleashed:
