Muzan walked into your room. You haven't made a noise since he put you down for a nap.

He found you staring at the flower themed mobile. He cooed at you as he picked you up.

He had you in his hip while he took a walk around the castle letting you see each demons domains.

You babbled as you played with the buttons on his best.

"My Lord I didn't know you had a kid." Douma commented, seeing him walk by.

"I Don't."

"Please stop pulling my hair." Kokushibo said while grabbing your hands that were tangled in his long locs. You were standing on one of his legs while he was sitting.

Once he got a hold of both of your hands you started to dance

"Da Da Da" You babbled.

"Yeah, that's right dada. Can you say it?"

"Da da... Dadaa."

"Yeah, I'm dada." His blew raspberries into your cheeks.

You giggled and squirmed.

You were presented to Douma as a present from one of his followers, you're unique like him. Visually different (I was thinking something like an albino or vitiligo) but still adorable to look at.

"Aww you look so cute Y/n!" He exclaimed as he took you from his follower's arms. You had on an outfit identical to his with a matching hat.

You giggled as he tickled your stomach before sitting you on a soft pillow next to his own.

You always sat next to him and his followers came and visited.

"Do you want your binkie?" Akaza tried to calm you down but nothing was working.

He tried feeding you, cradling you, swaddling you, putting you down for a nap and more.

You would not stop crying.

There was one thing they he hadn't tried yet but he was too embarrassed to do it. Your screams were enough to drive him to do it.

He sung to calm you down.

It worked.

You giggled, not so quietly, as you watched her run around while you were hiding behind Gyotaro.

"Gyotaro where did they go?" Daki whispered as if she didn't know you were behind him. He shrugged cause you to giggle harder.

"GOTCHA" She exclaimed and tried to reach around her brother. You screeched and tried to run but she caught you and threw you in the air.

"HAHA I WIN."

so i was thinking if the reader could accidentally cut off a large portion of their hair and is unable to fix it by themselves and is now crying. how would muzan react and what would he do?

..... It took everything in Muzan's power to not laugh at his child's tears. Honestly what they expect would happen when they were playing hairdresser, that they would come out looking hot? Please, they can barely cut a straight line on paper.

Still he was rather pleased with how Reader sought out his comfort, turns out that they can pretend to be his obedient child. "I didn't mean to cut so much off." Reader whined as they cried, honestly they didn't. They just wanted to cut off some split ends that have been annoying them since they turned into a demon. "I just wanted to get rid off my split ends!"

"Baby," muzan interrupted readers rambling with a condensing tone. "You can barely cut a straight line, so you should have expected this." He was purring as Reader's breath hitched and he continued to rub their back. "When you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes."

Okay reader was about to smack his ass, their eyes twitched in annoyance as they pulled away from him. Now Muzan couldn't have that. "But I'll recut it for you," muzan purred once more, but reader was suspicious. Rightfully so. "If you stay on your best behaviour for a month."

".... I would rather cut it myself." Reader couldn't help but hiss, their tears drying up quickly as they finally realized he was still their kidnapper, and they should not have want to be cuddled by him. But then again they're touchstarved and Muzan had gotten into their mind (especially after turning). But they had to remember, he still harmed them in ways he could not seem to understand or realize was wrong.

"awh do you not trust your papa?" Muzan cooed, amused by their quick mood change. It seems like Daki has been rubbing off on her. "Papa did dabble in hairdressing a few 100 years back when he was bored."

🌘 Hearing the constant croaks of the birds was only pressuring you to the point of using your blood demon art - which was to create boulders of different sizes and masses - smashing at someone, to the max

❄️ Akaza was starting to get worried, he had been searching for you for hours. The last he had seen of you, you had argued with Douma, resulting in him cutting your eye, making you scream and run off in anger and terror

❄️ As he flung himself through the trees of the nearby forest and landing on the ground, Akaza began to hear a melody being sung

🩸 The sounds of grunts and screams were echoing throughout the Infinity Castle, alarming every inhabitant besides Muzan Kibutsuji, who knew what was going on, he always kept tabs on his subjects

🩸 Gyutaro looked up in shock as he heard a door open and a loud crash, and as he looked up, he noticed that Daki was staring in shock as you stood there, your eyebrows furrowed as your yellow and red hair flared up in flames

🩸 Looking to his right he saw Akaza, the man a rank below you in uppermoon 4, and he could tell just from a glance how bloodied he was, after all, there were cuts and holes gushing blood throughout his frame

🩸 This was even to much for Gyutaro to look at

" You killed him, you sick fucker! " " Who in the world are you talking about, Y/N?! " " You killed Kyojuro! He was my descendant, you shithead! He was supposed to fight me, not your pink-haired ass! "

🩸 The rest of the moons who were summoned there watched as you grabbed Akaza and burned him with your Blood Demon Art, and they could all tell you were beyond speaking to

🩸 Only Muzan was capable of calming you in this situation - well, him and Gyutaro, but he was getting more nervous with every passing second

🩸 You eventually let Akaza go and allow your flame-coded hair to fall back down as your anger began to subside, allowing the uppermoon to stand up and start healing himself as you just stared at him blankly

" If you ever dare lay your hands on any Rengoku member again, I will not stop burning you until you become a pile of ash and blood, like the hand you left in Kyojuro's stomach. Understood, Akaza? " " Understood, Rengoku-sama. " " Good. "

🩸 You then walked away and wrapped your arms around Gyutaro's extremely malnutritioned form, a small amount of warmth radiating off of your body from the previous rage

🩸 Gyutaro sighed and hugged you back, knowing his comfort was beyond yours right now. Your rage was far scarier than Muzan's - well, it was close to it, but still!

🩸 You merely hummed and asked Nakime to send you both back to your selected room in the Castle, and the other moons noticed how shaky she was when striking the cord on her biwa to send you away

🩸 Thank goodness he was in the Entertainment District at the time of this Kyojuro guy's death, he didn't wanna be on the other end of his lover's anger. That wouldn't be the best for the poor guy

i really liked how they were to each other. i cried like a baby during their episode. i love that daki has full confidence that her brother will always protect her no matter what and that gyutaro knows daki will always try to do the same for him even if she'll most likely end up losing or get in more trouble because of it and loves her anyway.

modern au!ume (daki) went through all of elementary school just going “oh yeah? well MY brother…” followed by something crazy. “my brother once beat up 15 guys at once just because he could.” “my brother stole 50 thousand dollars from the bank one time and they never caught him.” “my brother owns a hundred guns and he lets me play with them whenever i want.”

she took the whole “my brother could beat up your brother” thing very very seriously and was constantly building him up to everyone around her.

eventually it leads to small groups of kiddos from her class following her to gyutaros beat up toyota corolla just to get a glimpse of the living legend. they're all young enough that his face doesn't scare them away, if anything it works to add onto this persona they've created of him in the heads. And when they all bombard him with questions? tell him stories about himself he didn't know a thing about? what’s he supposed to do, not back his little sis up?

yeah of course he could beat your dad in an arm wrestle who tf do u think he is? did he really teach ume kung-fu? he's a black belt, waddya think? does he really have a closet full of knives and guns and bombs? uh, obvi, he'll even show you sometime. and it’s all fun and games, until it somehow further solidifies him as a bad kid.

the kiddo's go home to parents and share, and then rumors begin to stack on top of rumors, and as the kids grow up, the rumors grow with them.

suddenly, ume can’t come to a birthday party because the parents think her brother is a bad influence—therefore, so is she.

suddenly her old group of girlfriends are too scared of her brother to get anywhere near her, and they shut her out completely.

suddenly, her old classmates pull away from her because the young awe-stricken sparkle in their eyes has faded, and been replaced by tween-age scrutiny and judgement, and when they look at her big bro when he comes to pick her up from school, they don’t see an elusive badass sitting in the drivers seat. they see the scars and bad teeth and raggedy clothes and decide it would be best to stay away. from both of them.

7th grade rolls around, and before she knows it, they don’t think she’s cool for having a brother that looks the way he does, who acts the way he does, whose known for the things that he is, so she stops talking about him, asks him not to pull up to the school and to wait for her a block or two away. but not having him around doesn't stop the weird looks they throw her, or the concerned comments from her teachers, and not having him around doesn't make the tears dry up any quicker.

she begs and begs and begs to switch schools, and luckily for them there's a middle school in the next city over, and their open-enrollment plan is easy to navigate for 19-year-old gyutaro, though, eventually, the two schools would pool into one high school, but she's already figured out what to do.

she does everything she can to wipe her past self from the world, fueled by spite and anger and hurt. she makes use of her pretty face, takes advantage of how little these new people know about her. she gets bitter, and she gets nasty, and she's not ume anymore don't call her that it's daki. but it doesn't matter because everything is perfect again. she has friends who like her, boy's constantly ask for her number, and nobody, not a single person knows about her scary big brother. her delinquent, thug, punk-ass, good for nothing brother.

she's a single child, as far as they know.

nothing really changes for gyutaro and he adapts quick to his little sisters bad attitude, coddles and pampers her like always, because everything he does, every muscle he strains, every cent he makes, bloody battered and bruised, it's all for her.

because as long as she's happy, he's happy.

I love modern au!gyutaro. I love him because he wears baggy ass clothes that swallow him whole, and he is so hunched over he just looms over you like a presence. He looks likes he's faded 24/7 because his eye's are sensitive to the light, and exhaustion is stained into his face which is made so clear by the dark circles under his eyes. I love him because he's all fucked up and he looks fucked up and he knows he's fucked up, and when you treat him gently, touch him soft and sweet, he goes a little insane. I love him because everything you do makes him feel like he's gonna choke and die and he just splutters and stumbles and stutters like a weirdo.

Genya's Role in the Family

So, today, because I never shut up and I love Genya, I wanted to talk a little more about Genya, specifically his role in his family from the little we see of them and the conclusions I've personally drawn from that.

First of all, from what I can gather, it looks like Genya filled in more a homemaker role than a "man of the family" or traditional gender normative older brother role. In fact, it seems like he's taken up the burden of what you'd normally expect to be placed on the eldest sister.

I find it so interesting that in our first shot of the whole family together where they're all sleeping, we can already glean a lot of their situation. But what I want to focus on is how everyone gets their own futon, even Sanemi! Everyone except Genya, who's sleeping with baby Koto.

We know why he's not sleeping with his mama but wouldn't it make the most logical sense for him to go with the eldest? Sanemi is older than Genya by at least five years (21 to Genya's 16 in canon) ergo he would be the most responsible. Or, if you want to be gender normative since this is the very early 1900's, why not with his eldest sister?

Well, first of all, we know Sanemi trusts him above all the other siblings. We know this because Genya is the one he chose to confide in when making the promise to protect everyone. We also know that when Sanemi goes to go looking for their mother, he trusts in Genya to watch over the kids while he's gone. Which brings me to another point.

Just look at how all of them turn to him!

How he cradles baby Koto back to sleep, Genya warning them away from the door just before disaster strikes.

Even in official art, Genya is the one carrying the baby while Sanemi does the hard labor. Which brings me to Sanemi's role. Legally in this time period, he is the head of the house, which means he and Shizu are likely their main bread-winners. In the flashback, Sanemi is the one pulling the cart with the heaviest load while Genya carries a small knapsack.

During Genya's monologue he says this: "My mother was always working, from morning until night. Not once did I ever see her sleeping."

So if Shizu is always working and Sanemi is always working, who's taking care of the babies?

Well, based on how Genya interacts with the younger siblings, I would place my bets on him!

And siblings caring for their younger siblings or just young children in general was so common in rural areas they were called Komori, though they were typically little girls caring for the children of wealthy people. Simply put, by placing the burden of child-rearing on a Komori, you could free up more time for you to work.

And, it's shown that Genya does have the gentleness and patience for it. He's fiercely protective of his siblings (punching the landlord's son for making Sumi cry, standing up the caterpillar girls in One Winged butterfly). The corps record book states that Gyomei helps him regain his "gentle nature", something you'd definitely need for child rearing. He also has the patience and attention to detail needed for it as shown by his love for bonsai.

I find it so interesting that Genya has so many parallels to Nezuko from him being the only survivor out of all the little siblings while the older sibling was away, to the demonic ties to even their gentleness. And I know this was intentional: just like Gyutaro and Daki are meant to show "what could have been," Sanemi and Genya are also meant to be a "what could have been" scenario as well.

But I find Genya so much more fascinating, not just because of how he defies gender norms just from the little that we see from his past but from littlest details of his character. I could make a whole different post just on his speech patterns and how it reflects his emotional stunt in growth and how he's forcing himself to be more of a man to get closer to Sanemi.

He wears his emotions on his sleeve but he's still a private and reserved person, he's fierce but he's gentle. He's a walking dichotomy and just an excellent character with a very interesting ability that I could go on and on about too.

I would like to give a special shout out to @princeblue and boff and bepp and rose and everyone else on the blue corps server! I never would have been able to put these thoughts into words until they let me ramble at them endlessly and they rambled back!!!!!

a/n: super sweet h/c about gyutaro! ALSO, i tried to make this gender neutral as possible, so I'm sorry if there's a bullet point that doesn't reflect that. I'm also trying to be inclusive in my writing (so i don't always include able-bodied readers) but if something is incorrect, please let me know! love you all!

even before turning into a demon, gyutaro wasn't happy with the way he looks

poor little baby was getting bullied, beaten, and shunned

so coming across someone that cannot see his face might help that insecurity a little bit (not that he wouldn't want someone who could see him, because if you truly loved him, it wouldn't be a problem)

how did you two meet? (in these scenarios, pretend like daki and him are separated/he isn't inside her body)

scenario one: you bump into him at night in some alley in the district trying to find your way back to your house. and he waits for the squeal of terror directed towards his face, or for you to run away. but instead, you bow, apologizing deeply. it's then that he notices your cane. you go to brush off his clothes when he grabs your hand and insists no harm was done. let him walk you home. why is he acting so nice? he doesn't know. but he doesn't like it. he hates humans, disgusting creatures. but this one seems ok.

scenario two: daki grabs you for your beauty, but he stops her from devouring you. why? who knows? maybe it's because he recognizes you from when you were kind to him. either way, you're his now.

just like when he was the primary guardian of his sister, he would love to feel like he was protecting you, even when you don't really need it

he would follow you around to make sure nobody would be mean

he would make sure there were no sharp objects around that you could potentially run into in areas you weren't familiar with

one night, the two of you were sitting on your futon, talking, hugging, doing whatever s/o and demon bf do, when you reached up to touch his face. he tensed up a bit, a little nervous of your soft hands feeling the uneven skin, but when you smiled at him, he saw you were genuinely happy. he might've shed a tear that night, but who knows?

you could feel his body tense up next to yours, but you didn't cease your movements. your hands, cupping his face, trying to map out what you couldn't see.

"mmmm, whatcha doing?"

"just trying to feel what you look like."

"'fraid there isn't much there, love."

"nonsense. you are gorgeous."

(sniff. "are you crying?" "no it's just raining." "..." "we're inside.")

i'm trying to think... how would he respond to you aging? like would he just let you die of old age? would he turn you into a demon? like this man has never felt so loved and accepted by someone (who wasn't his sister), and i don't think he would let you go that easily.

love languages: physical touch. this man was STARVED of loving physical contact as a child. please hug him.

words of affirmation. mans doesn't regret becoming a demon, so don't say anything like that. but maybe, "you're so pretty", or "best bf ever" or "you're too good to me." mans would be one of three things.

one, weeping. crying his eyes out. hugging you, or your waist (depending on where the two of you are)

two, bashful. little embarrassed about his reaction, but he loves and CRAVES the attention. little head kisses as thanks.

three, literally throwing you onto the bed and just going crazy.

You had originally been hanging out with Daki, you playing around with her hair and putting it ip into different styles over and over again. But that was until Sekido suddenly entered the room, grabbing hold of your wrist and dragging you out with Daki seeming shocked.

Saying that you weren’t scared at first was a complete lie. Despite having a crush on Sekido, you’ve seen the way he acted. It was still against demon rules to kill another upper moon, but in reality, Sekido was just a clone.

“Y/n.” The demon stated, having his usual tone of voice while breaking you out of your trance and letting go of your now sore wrist.

“Hm?” You asked while rubbing your wrist gently with your opposite hand.

“I like you.” He said, looking down at your hand rubbing your wrist. “Return my feelings.”

The last statement sounded more demanding than he wanted it too…

♡He’s a pleasure demon. And although it doesn’t seem like it, he knows how to be romantic when he wants to. Which was shocking for you to find out.

♡Unfortunately, when he’s searching for you, he sounds more terrifying than loving. But then again, why go around his part of the infinity castle calling out your name in a sing-song voice?

♡He doesn’t exactly know how to be romantic when in a place like the infinity castle, so instead he sneaks out at night and finds you your favorite flower. If your flower only grows in a certain area, he makes Urogi fly there.

“Y/n~” You heard Karaku’s voice call out for you while you continued hiding from him. You didn’t really know what to expect with his scary sounding voice. Especially since you had secretly eaten the human body he retrieved a few moments later.

“Found ya! Why were you hiding?” He laughs slightly at your terrible hiding spot before picking you up with one arm and bringing you to your feet.

“Oh you didn’t- You know what? Nevermind. What did you need?” You questioned, trying to peek behind his back where he was hiding his hand.

Suddenly, he brought the flowers from behind his hand, handing them to you while watching your face expression change into a slightly more flustered one.

“Just wanted to proclaim my love for you.” He said with a smirk before pulling you in a hug. Only a few seconds into the hug, he moved his lips over near your mouth. “I know you ate the last body.”

Crap.

♡He looked more anxious than usual. Which didn’t take long for you to notice as you had your eyes on him for a while.

♡For a while, you pestered him about it, asking him repeatedly if he was okay or if something happened. After repeated answers of “im fine”, you eventually gave up.

♡Aizetsu took up an entire hour preparing himself, mainly for rejection. If anything he would much so prefer a hug or kiss rather than a verbal response from you.

“Y/n?” You heard a hesitant voice call out to you from behind, making you turn around and come face to face with Aizetsu, who seemed to have more of a sad expression than usual. The same expression you’ve been worried of.

“Are you finally going to tell me what’s wrong?” You question with a hint of worry plastered on your own face. His sadness was slowly getting more and more contagious. But it never meant you didn’t lime being around him.

“I…I really like you.” He replied, handing over a single small sunflower that had been slouching in an almost sad way. Immediately, your expression changed as you pulled Aizetsu into a loving hug, him hugging back as he realized.

♡Another charmer out of the clones, just like Karaku. He wanted it to be perfect, and his joy only made the moment better. At least to him.

♡It was surprisingly easy for him to push all the negative thoughts of what may happen to the very back of his head, only thinking of your mesmerizing face and happy expression. 

♡He’s almost always by your side, so when he wanted to take his plan into initiative, he didn’t really have to go looking for you. He just told you he needed to show you something urgent so he rushed you outside in the moonlight with him.

“Urogi!” You exclaimed, holding onto him tightly as he began flying off with an arm around you waist, to make sure you wouldn’t fall. Sure, you were used to jumping high during battle, but flying was different.

You kept your eyes shut for the first few minutes as all you felt was the wind brushing through your hair and against your body.

“Open your eyes or this will all be for nothing.” Urogi groaned while ever so gently and repeatedly slapping your cheek in an attempt to get you to open your eyes.

Eventually you opened your eyes, the white shining light of the moon taking over as you continuously fluttered your eyes until you adjusted to the bright light.

Finally, you looked up at the full moon, you and Urogi still moving at a fast pace through the sky.

“The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?”

EDIT: I said I'd add more, and so I shall. I swear, the more I rewatch it, the more abserdity crosses my mind. I forgot some, so I'll add those when I remember them.

Rewatching the Mugen Train Arc, and there are a few things I noticed that I shall now share with you. I will add more as I think of them.

▪︎Rengoku's mom is hot

▪︎You will never be able to convince me we didn't see Akaza's O Face during that final attack.

▪︎Why didn't Akaza just drag Rengoku along with him to escape? All that oomf he has, and you're telling me one dude is too heavy? Nezuko can carry someone easily while in baby mode and was strong enough to curbstomp Daki, and you're telling me Akaza, Upper Three, the fourth most powerful demon in existence can't drag one guy along for the ride while bailing? I'm calling that shit hard.

▪︎Tanjirou's VA knocked this shit out of the park.

▪︎I call bullshit that Rengoku didn't activate his Demon Slayer Mark during all that.

¤ Edit: I now know why that didn't happen, so nevermind this one.

▪︎While we're on the topic of Rengoku, can I just briefly express my confusion as to his dream of choice when Enmu put him to sleep? Out of everything he could have dreamed, all the scenarios his mind could have conjured up, he chose "that one time I did something extraordinary and my dad didn't give a shit" followed by any given day of the week. Tanjirou got his family back, Zenitsu got to spend time with the girl he loved, Inosuke got to do whatever the fuck that was...and Rengoku's got an alcoholic father who doesn't give a hair on a witch's tit if his kids live or die, a mom that's still dead from illness, and last Tuesday, the Tuesday before that, and the Tuesday before that, also known as his everyday life. Why? He could have had a father that was a presentable human being again, a mother that wasn't dead or ill, a happy life...and he bypassed all of that. Just. Fucking. Why.

¤Edit: upon further thought and some amateur analysis of his psyche, the dream probably revolved more around time with his brother, or his boundless optimism making him think every day is a gift or worth celebrating or special somehow. Or maybe he just has a really bad imagination.

▪︎Look up the lyrics to Homura by LiSA, and I believe you will join me in saying fuck whoever chose the music. Why they gotta do that? Why?

▪︎Get you a man that's an absolute goober, a total badass, a complete and utter derp, a major sweetheart, and a super serious hot mess all at once. Get you a Flame Hashira. Get you Rengoku Kyoujurou.

▪︎"I'm a box lunch vendor" wasn't suspicious until he said it wasn't suspicious. Then it became suspicious.

▪︎Rengoku moving his ass like "Total Consentrstion Fuck You I'm A Hashira" speed mode activated. "Ecceleration Mode", for anyone that's up on older anine.

▪︎Pigtails runnin' her way through Rengokus dream world like the edge isn't invisible and she was at zero risk of slamming face first into it.

▪︎Tanjirou: smells blood in a snow storm, Muzan in the middle of Tokyo, identifies people by their scents after only meeting them once, can smell character traits

Zenitsu: hears thing down to a celluar level and can figure out what something's species and intent are based solely of of their sounds of existsnce

Rengoku: two cars down from them, practically yelling "tasty" repeatedly, unnoticed

Inosuke: has super insane instincts and the ability to lock onto things miles away

Renkgoku: STILL just two cars down from them, living his best life with a crapton of bento, unnoticed

Tanjirou/Zenitsu/Inosuke: "Wonder where the Flame Hashira is."

▪︎My thought process through my original watchthrough eons ago: "Rengoku is a silly mans. Rengoku is kinda cool. Rengoku is utterly endearing. Rengoku is awesome. Rengoku is one BAMF. RENGOKU IS DEAD."

▪︎My almost simultaneous thought process through my original watchthrough eons ago: "I can't believe he dies, he's so amazing and wonderful and i love him. Ok, he dies in this fight, and now that i know the man, i instantly hate whoever did it. Oh no, he's HOT! My emotions are very mixed right now. My emotions are completely decided in their stance, and I am getting teary-eyed over yet another ficticious character."

▪︎My afterthoughts of my original watchthrough eons ago: "Akaza is the absolute worst, that pretty face, hot body and smooth af voice cannot change that. Wow, Muzan was mean to him after he did his damndest. My opinion can not change now that I have seen Senjurou, he is a wonderful little cinnamonroll, and Akaza must remain the worst. He can be terrible and still look good. I mean, are he and his utterly whorish waist and very lovely, somewhat delicately featured face really to blame or is Muzan or psychosis of some kind? Wow, that's a nice hourglass physique and horribly tragic backstory."

▪︎End conclusion from my original watchthrough eons ago: "My opinion of Rengoku has done a 180. I would die for Senjurou. I will probably never truly like Rengoku Shinjurou despite understanding that grief and disillusionment do strange things to people. Thoughts abt the what I'm gonna dub as the 'baby factory au' for kny that I have

So I just wanna collect some thoughts for it so why not do it here I can yap for long blocks of text

I mainly wanna yap abt the potential of how many babies and who goes with who. I'll also include like alternate pairings cause why not?

First: MuNezu cause duh its me with the stupid long MuNezu fic and having two fan child in my brain.

MuNezu: As I legit just said its two children. Theres Isamu, my boi, he's THE defacto MuNezu child I have who has the most lore. Then there's the other who is his sister. I forgot her name but she is defo underdeveloped. Both kids avoid any experiments.

Next is KokuAoi cause i have children for em: Twins! A boy and a girl! The boy is Keiichi. There is a reason for the name like symbolism and shit.

Then theres the sister: Murasaki. Now there isn't as much symbolism to the name as with her brother. But there is still a slight meaning. As for koku's reaction to the experiments? He's ok with them he just hopes nothing too bad happens.

Next up we have DouShino. Its a fav ship of mine but I never made fan children for them before. There is an artist I like on twt that has fan children for the pairing. Its three kids. Two sons and a daughter so I might do that. But its still WIP on the pairing (granted beyond the first two its all WIP). Douma is ok with the experiments

Kaigaku x Kanao: A tough one but probably just one. Kaigaku doesnt give af abt kids but wanted to fulfill Muzan's command. He liked Kaano for her body and that's it. he doesn't want the kid aspect. Is a-ok with the experiments

Gyutaro x Tengen's wives: Let's give him the most and seven children. I am debating on distribution. Like how many each wife has but I wanna do this for some giggles cause I can just see Gyu juggling a shit ton of babies and it being hilarious meanwhile Daki is just like 'children, gross.' Hey at least there's plenty of test subjects!

Now we come to the 'these pairings can be shifted around or changed depending on au or what mood I'm in:

AkaMitsu: Debating (defo healthiest pairing of the whole bunch lol) Probably two or three kiddos. Gender is up for debate. But again all of it is still WIP. Akaza would be best dad and do everything in his power to not have the babies be put up for Muzan's experiments.

Clones x Amane: To make things interesting lets give her Quintuplets like in canon (rip the amussy). The twist? Each child is biologically from a different clone. EG one is Sekido's while the other is Aizatus's. In this au The clones that created children would be the main 4 plus Zohakuten.

Muzan x Amane: Would be interesting sorry Kagaya you're being nonconsensually cucked. Anyway I think they would possibly have one or two children. I think Muzan wouldn't't care too much for the babies but at least wants them alive. He doesn't experiment on them too severely.

Clones x Mitsuri: Much like Amane. Five kids but not at once. Again same as Amane's with the fathers. Same reaction to experiments.

An interesting one for Akaza if the Muzan x Amane route is taken. Akaza x a reincarnated Koyuki: Same as AkaMitsu kinda. Except its three or four children in this case. Again similar reaction to the experiments

Hirakugo's opinion on the uppermoons:

Kokushibo:

Of course, he would respect his father and admire him! He's actually really in the "the son has to continue his father's glory" type of mindest and is pretty stuck to it and will believe it to the end. It's almost like his mission for him to keep alive his and his father's glory.

Answer he would give about the question "What do you think of...?": "My father is a man of his word, he always keeps it and would never not protect and care about people he has deep in his heart. He may not seem like he cares, but it can be seen in his eyes and his words."

Douma:

He generally hates, understands, and finds Douma weird and interesting. He thinks the way he charms in his prey by acting friendly and welcoming is good, but also old as shit. He also hates how he takes most things as a playing game or some playground. Although he also understands and likes his bda, finding it powerful and interesting, but still definitely hates his view on women and how he thinks they're just "great food".

Answer he would give if he was asked about his opinion on him: "He's definitely weird and strange, but his bda is impressive and powerful, which makes him somewhat worthy of the upper 2 spot. I loathed the way he thinks of women, Akaza definitely has a better opinion and treatment of them."

Akaza:

He also likes and respects Akaza, especially the way he also protects his baby sister and agrees with his opinion on women as well. He also sees Akaza as a worth opponent for a fight, and they often spar barehanded. He also got so close to the respect that Hirakugo almost sees him as a brother. In conclusion, they are pretty close.

Answer after getting asked of an opinion on him: "Akaza is a good guy. I respect his opinion on women and admire his bda and how he fights barehanded. He's also quite a good partner for sparring when I want to train without my sword, so I always go to him for a spar."

Hantengu:

Hates him. Completely, absolutely and fully. He hates how he always trembles and stutters, especially in front of Muzan, and hates how he can just think he can take advantage of his sister's kindness and comforting.

Answer after getting asked of an opinion on him: "Hate him. He should just stop acting like a scared mouse in front of Muzan and show some real respect. Also, if he had ever come near my sister again, I'll keep decapitating him until he dies from the lack of energy to regenerate."

Gyokko:

It's the middle ground and on the scales if he hates and finds him interesting. He thinks his pots are okay but a waste of time as a demon. He thinks that he should also not be so picky on what human he eats because it's still food to have.

Answer after getting asked of an opinion on him: "I... almost got no words. He's just the middle ground for now. His vases are pretty, but waste of time. He should also stop being picky about so many things about humans and just eat."

Daki and Gyutaro:

He almost sees him and Toyotama-hime in the two of them, the only difference being that Daki is just a little bit louder than Hime would be. He likes the sibling bond they have and how they protect each other in battle most of the time.

Answer after getting asked of an opinion on them: "They are like me and Hime and are pretty impressive with their fighting style. It comes to find for me that Gyutaro is just a bit too coddling and doting on Daki, but an older brother has to take care of his sister after all."

First off, I absolutely love the Hashira surplus AU. I see lots of somebody lived/everyone survived AUs since I have an Ao3 addiction, but none really go in the direction you’ve chosen. I think the idea of twin pillars is nice to think about, but unless they work best together and are messes without their other half it wouldn’t really make sense to just count them as one if they’re perfectly fine independently. Kind of like how Daki and Gyuutaro work in canon, I suppose. So if Sabito lived, he would undoubtedly become the Water Hashira first and end up leaving Giyuu at Kinoe despite him eventually catching up in strength and qualifications. Same with Shinobu, if Kanae survived then she wouldn’t have room to become a Hashira with the 9 max rule. All in all, I really like what you’ve done with it and how you’ve built off canon. I don’t have any direct questions, but definitely wouldn’t mind to read about anything you haven’t got a chance to share or small details you havent been able to fit anywhere! I'm glad that you think this take on everyone lives makes sense! I tried to change 1 thing at the start and have the ripple effect come across naturally.

In terms of things to share, thank you so much for asking! This au is my baby so I'm thrilled to yap haha. I have a lot of projects I'm passionate about, so the actual drawings will come out very slowly, though I will answer asks and plot questions as they come. I'm currently working on the comic where Kanae meets Nezuko, so have a sneaky WIP page :P

The recent arc has also got me thinking about how the infinity castle arc changes.

MANGA SPOILERS FROM HERE!

I've decided to commit to saving everyone, as the core principle of this au, so the upper moon fights are going to go down differently. At the moment, I haven't fully decided, but my initial idea is this:

Instead of Giyuu, Sabito joins Tanjiro in fighting UM3. In canon, Giyuu acts as a parallel to Rengoku, with themes about weakness/strength and duty (who 'should' live). In this AU, Giyuu doesn't have the same survivor's guilt, and Rengoku doesn't die. As a result, it isn't thematically important for Giyuu to go up against Akaza. However, Sabito was present in the mugen train arc, and he narrowly survived the encounter. I think it makes sense for him to go up against Akaza with Tanjiro (who was stuck as a witness last time) and get to see how they've both grown - Tanjiro getting stronger and Sabito getting smarter. Maybe he learns Giyuu's defensive form?

Since Giyuu is free, I think he'd join in the UM1 fight. Having a defensive fighter could influence the battle. I have to be honest, I haven't reread this arc in a minute (so it is fresh when I watch the movie) so I can't quite remember how the fight goes down, but I think Giyuu would be there from the start. They just manage to keep themselves together as more allies join and overwhelm UM1.

I haven't used Rengoku here - I haven't decided his status after the mugen train arc. He lives, but I don't know if he is fit for battle. He may join Uzui and his father in protecting Nezuko. Perhaps he rallies the kakushi and the medical team with his large presence and still well above average physical abilities.

UM2 is a bit more complicated. Shinobu's drive for revenge is a key part of her character, but in this AU, Kanae survives. This is another thing not set in stone and may change. At the moment, I think in this AU, Douma has a habit of eating his victims alive. He taunted Kanae, managing to bite off her ear, so while Kanae manages to survive, she is truly affected by this fight. Shinobu despises him like in canon. In terms of the UM2 infinity castle fight, I'm not sure how to administer Shinobu's poison. It could be that Douma eats an arm or leg, but Kanae arrives in time to help. I'm also currently thinking that Aoi* might join Kanao.

*I haven't committed to her role yet (in addition to knowing basic medicine). She could be a poisons using demon slayer (like Shinobu) or someone who blended the role of demon slayer and kakushi - this is worth its own post though.

All of the speculation around the inifnity castle is just a draft, though! I would absolutely love to hear any suggestions/ ideas, so please feel free to reply/ reblog/ send an ask :D

~Turns out Daki was just so upset and just in a state of mourning she didn’t even want to get out of bed. Their caregiver finds Gyutaro sitting on her bed just trying to calm down his baby sister who’s just wailing over everything and nothing

~Presents get delayed until after breakfast and even by then Douma can’t get a straight answer out of why Daki was so upset

~She refuses to leave from Douma’s lap when they do open presents

~Also she just keeps sticking pieces of wrapping paper onto Akaza and different bows from off of the packages to his arms. Gyu absolutely snaps at her of she tries to do the same to him

I just wanted some wholesome stuff for my sweet girl!! This is only PLATONICALLY // short story with some headcanons

Summary: You’re an Upper Moon and Daki is your best friend!! You guys gossip about the other Upper Moons!!

Trigger warnings: Daki and you gossip about the other Upper Moons, rude comments about them,

Currently you were at the infinity castle as Muzan called all the Upper Moon's for a meeting, but as the time being everyone was all hanging out in the main area, waiting for the Demon King, as you were sitting alone waiting for your best friend Daki. As you waited you look around and stare at the other Upper Moons, as you look around Douma smiled and waved at you, you gave him a fake smile and wave back.

You sighed at yourself, but your ears perked up when you heard your best friend's voice. You quickly stood up and gave her a big hug. "Hey Daki! I've missed you so much!" You say, as she giggled and returned the hug. Soon after you pulled away and look over at her brother and smile at him. He was the only one you really liked from the other males. "Hey Gyataro, how have you've been?"

He smiled at you and nodded. "I've been doing well, Daki hasn't been quite this whole time about you." He said giving you a shy smile. Patting her head. "I’ll leave you guys alone, I assume you want to girl talk about girly things." And with that he walked off leaving you and you're best friend alone. You smile and grab her hand and walk off and somewhere a little far from the other Upper Moons. But you guys could still see them, you guys sat on the ground.

"Man, it's been awhile since we've gossiped but these guys." You say, slightly pointing at the other Upper Moons. Making Daki roll her eyes playfully as she nodded. "I know! But be careful with pointing that finger Kokushibo could see you, I mean he does have six eyes so I'm guessing he can see every little detail." She giggled out.

Making you snort out softly, as you giggle. "I know! Just imagine if he were to tell someone to look him in the eyes." She began saying making you both laugh out.

"Yeah which ones though." You say. "Girl! Don't get me started about the other Upper Moons!"

"Oh my! Please I'm all ears!" She said, smirking. As you look at her, and you look over at the others and it seemed like they were talking about something. Maybe talking about why Muzan called everyone here.

"Let's go by number! So let's see...Ah! Douma, that dude is creepy no wonder why no one likes him!" You say. As you looked at Douma and giggle. "I mean he has the looks but something is off of him."

"Maybe it's that god awful fake happy attitude he has." She said, as she turned over and looked at the Upper Moon 2, and he smiled and waved at you guys. She didn't wave back, and she turned around to face you. "The only good thing he's done is turn my brother and I into Demons, so he has that going for him."

Making you giggle, Daki giggled more. You guys were acting like the mean girls from a movie. "And what about Akaza? Don't get me started with him!" You say, letting out a fake sigh.

"Ah that pink hair boy whose always whining like a baby, yeah he's odd." She began saying, a smirk appear on her face. "It's quite funny how him and Douma are always fighting and Kokusibo always has to be the mom and break them up. Truly how sad." Daki began saying. "But not as sad how he lost so miserably against Kokusibo."

You gasped out and slightly punched her arm. "Daki! That's rude!" You let out a fake gasp! But laugh loudly, earning a few looks from the other Upper Moons. They were confused on why you and Daki were laughing like there's no tomorrow.

"Oh my! What about the crying one? Hantengu!" You say, clapping your hands softly. "He's definitely the most annoying one!" You say, and Daki nodded.

"I know! Just being around him makes me wanna rip my head off." She said, rubbing the sides of her head. "And what's the deal with that bump on his head? What was he dropped in the head as a baby and the bump never went away." She snorted softly.

"Maybe it's a big ugly zit!" You say, rolling yours playfully. "The only good thing he has going are those clones of his." You say. "Especially the Blue one, I love me a man who can cry and who I can order around" You say, laughing and wiping a single tear that slipped out.

"Oh and the other clones too! First the red one probably has something up his ass and that's why he's always in a bad mood, and then there's the green one who's a disgusting prev and the one with wings smells like wet trash." She said giggling, making you both throw your head back laughing loudly.

As the other Upper Moons looked at your direction, why were you guys laughing so hard? What's so funny!

"And that leaves Gyokko.." You say, gagging slightly. "God I've never met someone who's gets turn on from their art work." You say, scrunching your nose in disgust. "Don't get me started on the way he looks!"

"I know! That green lipstick isn't doing him the favor either...and those ugly infant hands!" She said, as she was also disgusted by him. Shaking her head. "Not even a full face of makeup would help him out." She said. "But Muzan does like him."

"Yeah that's only because his vases sell well and well Muzan loves Money. So basically he's a sugar daddy."

"An ugly sugar daddy!" Daki said, and with that you both started to laugh louder than ever. You guys even laughed so hard your stomach was hurting.

"WHAT'S SO FUNNY GIRLS!"

A loud voice was heard, and you guys stopped and saw Lord Muzan. Everyone was around him, bowing their heads to him and you guys quickly got up and ran over to him and got on your knees with everyone else and bowed down.

"We are sorry Sir." You both say. Muzan hummed quickly and soon after he began talking but you and Daki didn't pay attention since you guys were too busy trying to hold back your laughter.

You would lean in to Daki and whisper. "HeHe."

And both of you were holding back your laughter, puffing up your face and turning red. And Muzan looked at you guys, as he was done talking. "You guys are lucky I'm in a good mood or I would have ripped your limbs off." He said harshly and with that he was gone.And once we was gone you and Daki broke down laughing.

"What's gotten with you two?" Douma asked. Making you and her stop for a few seconds. "Shut up Douma, no one likes you." Daki said. And you just nodded, and you guys just stood up. "Let's go Daki we have a whole lot of gossip to do!" You say and with that both of left, leaving the other Upper Moons alone.

"Hey wait! Gossip? Are you guys talking about us! That's not very nice of you." Douma yelled out, faking pouting. And earning a smack from Kokushibo.

Bouns!!

You guys love to gossip about the guys, and it feels good to be the mean girls, and of course the only you guys don't talk bad about are Nakime, Muzan and her brother.

Sometimes you guys invite Nakime to hang out with you guys, so it's a girls night out! YOU GUYS GOSSIP ABOUT THE GUYS! But she’s mostly quite but oh she’s has a lot of things to say about the Upper Moons especially Douma.

No one likes poor Douma.

You and Daki would sometimes mock and Impersonate the other Upper Moons. "Like wow look at me, I have a big head and tiny arms."

You guys honestly love hanging out, so you guys enjoy hunting for food during the night. And you guys definitely mock your prey!

GIRLS SLEEP OVER!! You guys would be munching on some arms or legs and you guys also do each other's hair and makeup!

You guys love playing dress up!

Both of you are close, and honestly Gyataro is very happy that his sister found a best friend! He really does appreciate you.

Quick note– they are ordered by ranking

🫀Uppermoons ᭪꒷꒦

(Aka, the hashira in this au)

Kokushibo — Basically just swapped with Yoriichi

Douma — Basically, he just swapped with Shinobu and lost his wife Kotoha to Shinobu, and that's why he wants revenge. Not as strong as og Douma since he spent months not training to take care of kotoha and baby inosuke. He's the Ice hashira, which is quite similar to mist breathing and a bit performative. Uses fans to spread the cold/freeze demons.

Akaza — In this au, he was saved by Urokodaki instead of Keizo. He trained and worked as a slayer until he met Koyuki, and once they got married, he retired early and took over the dojo, taking care of Koyuki and training. He does occasionally train demon slayers, but he still participated in the final battle.

Hantengu — a former hashira too frail to train.

Zohakuten — The “Dragon Hashira” (a mix between serpent and wind but the snake is a Dragon) and takes care of Hantengu when he can.

(The next clones aren't hashira, they're regular slayers)

Sekido — a demon slayer that uses lightning breathing whose too blinded by any anger to rank up.

Karaku — A wind demon slayer that's too hyper yet lazy and doesn't train A much as he should

Urogi — Also uses wind breathing and hides in trees, yet he also doesn't train like he should.

Aizetsu — uses mist breathing but is too full of sorrow to actually train or work.

(The “dont train enough” part is too show how they dont work together very well rather then their “lazyness”)

Nakime — 1. The “music hashira” (a slight mix between sound and wind) and is just as destructive as it is beautiful. She is blind but relies on her heightened hearing (like canon zenitsu's) yet still plays Biwa for fun.

2. She could also be one of swap Muzan's adopted children in this au

Gyokko — Basically just Haganezuka but has a mask that matches his og's face since he likes being weird/abstract art. Does pottery for fun.

Gyutaro & Daki — 1. Muzan's adopted kids. Self explanatory really. Gyutaro has the curse (aka hes Kiriya)

2. Douma's children/helpers. Basically they could replace the “caterpillar girls” (sumi, Kiyo, Naho) alongside rui

3. They could also be the tokito twins, basically Ume dies from being burnt but they are rescued by Lady Rei. After Ume is pronounced dead, he becomes the “Plauge Hashira” (plauge breathing is a mix of wisteria poision/insect breathing in general and mist) if Ume were the one to live she would either use flower or water (maybe insect or love..)

Kaigaku — 1. Swapped with Zenitsu

2. Could also replace kotestsu

3. Him and Zenitsu could also be the Tokito twins

Kyogai — uses Stone Breathing (you can decide if he's hashira or not) and does poetry for fun. A bit of a downer.

Rui — 1. Basically the rengoku family but with insect or spider breathing.

2. Could also be one of Muzan's adopted kids

Enmu — 1. Would likely use “Dream breathing” or help around the “Ice mansion.”

2. Could be the Love Hashira

(Aka the uppermoons & lowermoons)

Yoriichi — swapped with Kokushibo/michikatsu basically.

Demon name: Kuraitaiyō (暗い太陽)

Uppermoon 1

Gyomei — could basically do what nakime does. Only eats kids and pretends to be a home for the lost or claim hes a monk/Buddha. Was turned into a demon after the orphans died.

Demon name: Shinoi (死の家)

Uppermoon four

Sanemi — basically uses what karaku uses but also uses swords or claws. Was turned into a demon after he lost his family (he didnt save genya).

Demon name: Kazaha (風刃)

Uppermoon 2

Giyu — basically gave up after Sabito dies and offered himself to Kagaya. He has multiple arms out his abdomen in his final form and uses water fists that are actually like concrete. Uses attacks similar to Gyokko's.

Demon name: Kōsui (硬水)

Uppermoon 3

Muichiro & Yuichiro — basically just Gyutaro and daki. They can merge and pretend to be lost children to lure their victims. Yuichiro is stronger and uses more strength based attacks while Muichiro relies on speed. They can turn their fists and feet into wood and use their hair to fight (like Daki's obi belt).

Demon names: mui: Hayaki (速い霧) yui: Tsuyoiri (強い霧)

Uppermoon 5 (replaced by mitsuri)

Obanai — serpent demon. His hair has some snakes too and they let out a poison which causes their victim to have strong, overbearing hallucinations. Still runs the cult.

Demon name: Dokumu (毒霧)

Lowermoon 2

Mitsuri — switches between her disguise as a mother and oiran to keep hidden. One of her eyes hypnotizes men when open and she often uses that so they kill themselves her hair also extends as a weapon. Often around Obanai but isn't known to like him.

Demon name: Yūdokuna (有毒な愛)

Uppermoon 5

Kyojuro — uses flame attacks and flame breathing since he often disguises as a demon slayer to not get caught at night. He also has fingertips that catch on fire and stuff.

Demon name: Niseono (偽の炎)

Uppermoon 6

Tengen — Very much a crystal demon. Weapons extends out of his hands. Him and his wives move like Hantengu and his clones. His wives often act as oiran/geishas or just flirt with men and women to get victims. Still not very strong.

Demon names: Kurisutarupurāku (nicknamed Kurisu) (クリスタルプラーク)

Suma: Rapisu (ラピス)

Makio: Kiirono (黄色の結晶)

Hinatsuru: Murasakiiro (紫色の水晶)

Lowermoon 1

Shinobu — Pretends to be a doctor and either poisions them or just eats them. Can release butterflies if she wants which carry poision. In legitimate battles she often relies on speed and uses a stinger like spear.

Demon name: Dokuchō (毒蝶)

Lowermoon 3

(Btw their names are just shortened/slightly edited versions of tye kanjis' next to them. So if you wanna know the meaning, translate the kanjis)

🍙Kamaboko squad

Tanjiro — Hes a demon 🤷‍♀️

Nezuko — shes a slayer 🤷‍♀️ was saved by Koyuki and was trained by Hakuji. She wears a BROWN haori not a pink one.

Inosuke — Douma's son (not biological) still has a big ego but less wild. Uses ice breathing instead of beast breathing.

Zenitsu — 1. lightning demon. Aka swapped with Kaigaku. Still named zenitsu.

2. Douma's adopted son.

Kanao — was apart of Shinobu's cult alongside Kanae and Aoi until Kanae died. She was then taken in by Koyuki and then moved to the Ice mansion to help around. She was only supposed to stay until kotoha gave birth but stuck around.

Aoi — was also taken in by Koyuki and was taught water breathing by Hakuji and stuck around, training with them and helping around.

Genya — 1. Hes a Lowermoon with similar attacks to Sanemi's.

2. A helper in the ice mansion.

Caterpillar girls — still a part of Shinobu's cult and are all demons.
