Sometimes dramas have an annoying tendency of having characters forgive their terrible parents just because it's their parents. I don't think that's going to happen here.

Wow these episodes are really short compared to regular kdramas. I can watch two in the time it would take me to watch one regular cdrama episode. Not going to rush it though.

He's so lovestruck he's forgotten how seatbelts work so Seon Yul is helping him, which is really not helping him. This is so tropey but it's delightful I am loving it

Hils Watches Love Tractor - Ep 1

So, okay, I have a system when it comes to watching dramas. I've got a very long To Watch list so I like to rotate the countries the dramas are from just to mix it up and get through a more even spread of things. I've been doing it this way for a good couple of years now. It goes like this:

China Thailand Taiwan (if there's any out I want to watch) Japan (usually I watch jdramas with a friend but occasionally I'll watch one by myself) South Korea Back to the top of the list

So, I just finished a Thai drama so Taiwan should be next. There is one out that I want to watch.

But.

The discord fam (actually fam from multiple discords) have been urging me to watch Love Tractor since basically from when it started airing.

So I'm caving to peer pressure and putting the list slightly out of order.

All I know about this drama is that there is apparently a himbo in it that everyone thinks I will like.

Well, I've watched dramas for lesser reasons than that so let's get to it, I guess.

I'm enjoying them trying to frame this as a horror show but, come on, it's called Love Tractor and the opening credits are all sunshine and smiles

I don't speak Korean but I am 90% sure he did not just say 'darn it' after his car broke down in the rain and left him stuck in the middle of nowhere

I know it's dark and lawyer dude probably isn't used to looking at poor people but come on that is clearly a young man

DOGGO!

I hope pretty lawyer dude and himbo farmer dude (I will learn their names eventually) have a Romeo + Juliet moment through the fish tank

I know sleeping with the bedroom lights on is a common drama thing but I could not sleep like that. I can't have any sort of light in my room when I'm sleeping.

I know it's not that sort of drama but nothing had better happen to this dog!

Is the lawyer city boy going to have to learn how to do farming? If so yes that is definitely my jam

Aww is he going to learn to love playing the piano again?

Is he going to spend a lot of this drama bathed in whimsical light looking wistful? This is not a complaint.

This sad boy definitely needs a himbo farmer boyfriend

He looks so happy just watching Ye Chan eat. I love them.

I've just noticed he's still wearing the bracelet Ye Chan gave him. I am totally fine and definitely not crying.

I love that all the way through this he always calls Seon Yul 'Chief Baek's grandson'. I'm not even sure he knows Seon Yul's name

I love that he was very firm on 'if the boy you like is seeing someone you back the fuck off and leave him alone' but as soon as he found out Seon Yul broke up with his boyfriend he goes straight into wingman mode

I mean that is definitely true

There's still two episodes left this is definitely a dream

Aww see move into a country village and people feed you and look after you. You just need to let them. It's funny because my parents live in a tiny Scottish village and it is exactly like this. Everyone looks out for everyone else. I mean there's also a lot of bitching and drama like a soap opera but nice things too.

Obviously I am all in favour of them living together until Seon Yul's cast gets removed, but doesn't Ye Chan have a farm to run?

This went from zero to chasing each other around the garden while one of them is shirtless very fast (I love it)

Things rarely go well for mentor/father figures in kdramas so I'm already worried about this dude

I thought he was going to be all angsty and quiet but he's getting in on the grifting as well. Love it.

I love her passive aggressively texting them from the back of the van rather than just talking to them. Goals.

Oh, hey, that's Chan's mother from Love Tractor. She's way less nice in this.

I'm confused. I thought she was a corrupt social worker but apparently she's a corrupt insurance broker?

Yesssss! I assumed if they'd made a point of showing the 'you can drive through a wall with this' car mod that it would get used at some point. I'm excited.

Even better he's going to use it on the corrupt cop

The car scenes in this are so fun! It's like a Fast & Furious movie
