I like to think that it was really hard for Telemachus to consider Odysseus as his father despite all of the years he's been titling him as one. It's easier to trust that someone gone will come back, than to actually believe and envelope the fact that they're here.
I saw your tags for your Apollo design and now I can't stop imagining him cracking his back and he ends up glowing like a light stick for a while skfhdjfk
HAVEJWHAJWNS I mean, there must be a reason that sunrises are often called the crack of dawn//dragged off stage
The sirens were fish-women. The bird-women were harpies.
I think that the sirens, like whales, had to come up to the surface to breathe. Once a siren's tail was cut off she was no longer able to swim. When the crew threw the siren back in the water she would sink and drown because she couldn't get back up to the surface to breathe.
Ody: “I know underwater, there are packs of you hiding”
Also Ody: “Cut off their tails! // … // Throw their bodies back in the water // Let them drown”
I’m confused.
Are EPIC!Sirens the modern fish-women or the ancient bird-women? If they are fish-women, are they like whales and have lungs, or like great white sharks that have to constantly swim to be able to breathe?
Or am I just ignorant about the fish-sirens and they have never been able to breathe underwater?
