Hey I know this is not really ninjago but I need that for an OC. She is a Muslim girl, I don't even know how she became one one day my brain was like "she looks like a Muslim" and I was like "yeah", anyway I'm redesigning her and I want to now are there any rules on the colors or pattern hijads have to be aware of ?
hii, absolutely no problem lol thank you for asking!!! <3
well if you're asking for colours/patterns, wearing extremely bright colours that can make you stand out is heavily frowned upon, like for example a really bright red. it's usually swapped out for a slightly darker scheme like these two:

it's still a bright red, but not bright enough to stand out yk?
also, even with that, bright stuff can still be worn, but they're paired with alot of darker colours! (a small example: I have a bright green jacket that I pair with black pants، shoes، and a dark hijab)
the exception for this is weddings obviously, since the bride wears a bright white. the rule of "not-too-bright" colours still applies to guests however, like these outfits for example:

and honestly that's it! if you want more tips feel free to ask me 🙏 also: incase you need it, here's a little post about tips you should know when making muslim characters, not just hijabis in general!
#levi's asks#ty for the ask!#hananonymous#not ninjago#obviously bright coloured hijabs are okay lol as I have ones myself#but the rest of the outfit is usually paler

“I know it's for religious reasons but Princess Anisha is not a hijabi so i'm sure it wasn't easy to forgo her locks in favor of a covered head but she looked like a doll, the loveliest royal bride of Brunei.” - Submitted by Anonymous

New summer dress designs for 2024
There are many types of Pakistani wedding dresses. Here are four:
Long Dresses: These are the most popular. They are long and often have shiny decorations like sequins and beads. They are great for traditional weddings.
Short Dresses: These are shorter than long dresses. They usually reach the knee or above.
Pakistani wedding dresses for brides are some of the most stunning and unique dresses in the world. They can be made from many different fabrics, like silk, cotton, or linen. They can be colorful and have lots of designs, or they can be simple and classic. No matter what, Pakistani wedding dresses will make you look great.
Red Pakistani wedding dresses for bridesmaids are also popular. They are often long and have a sweetheart neckline. They can be made for any bridesmaid, no matter her size.
There are many different styles of Pakistani wedding dresses. Traditional dresses are long gowns with veils. Modern dresses are more stylish, like strapless or A-line dresses.
Some popular types of Pakistani wedding dresses are hijabi dresses, kameez dresses, and Punjabi Jutt dresses. It's important to choose a dress that fits well and feels good. You can try on different styles in a store, check the size chart online, or talk to a seamstress.

I think this also speaks to the need for private spaces for the other purposes that washrooms sometimes serve.
This weekend I was at a wedding, and the only washroom on the main floor was normally a ladies room with 3 stalls. They hung a sign on it that said ‘Universal Washroom’ for the event and called it good. But! I had been planning to pump in the washroom, and I a) didn’t want to tie up a stall for 15 minutes and b) didn’t want to pump on the little bench by the sinks when this was no longer a gendered space.
I ended up in a corner of the bride’s room during cocktail hour, and it was fine. But the ‘there are reasons people want private or at least gendered spaces’ people do have valid concerns that should be addressed (it’s just that this take as been 90% co-opted by TERFS, which sucks). It’s just that we can also get creative about that. For instance I’ve been to both malls and zoos that have specific breastfeeding/pumping spaces, separate from the washrooms. That’s a fine solution! I just don’t want us to go the route of ‘all washrooms are universal and have stalls’ and suddenly take away the space for hijabis to fix their scarves, or people nursing to take care of that. (And yes, before anyone tries it, I’m 100% down with transwomen using the bathroom if I’m pumping on the bunch, I do not care in the slightest).

Sharing space is nothing new. Sharing bathrooms is nothing new. The reactionary outrage is so manufactured.
