Mobile game “Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei” received an update to its designated website, including information on cast, characters, and story!

Voice actors Mai Nakahara (Rena Ryuugu), Yukino Satsuki (Mion Sonozaki),  Mika Kanai (Satoko Houjou), and Yukari Tamura (Rika Furude) will reprise their roles. 

Plot spoilers below:

It’s confirmed that Tamurahime no Mikoto, a character who appears during “Kamikashimashi-hen” (a chapter written for the 2014 PC game “Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Hou”), will act in the story, which is set in the year 1993, ten years after the events of the mainline sound novel.

Another major character is Ichiho (?) Kimiyoshi; descendant to the Kimiyoshi Family, who she lost to the Great Hinamizawa Disaster. She travels to the remains of the village, where she’s attacked by never-before-seen monsters--”tsukuyami”--when the goddess Tamurahime safely sends her back in time to the peaceful days of Hinamizawa prior.
