"You know I never thought that Late Edo-Era cosplay would be that popular"

"Come on, you can't be serious. That's like one of the basics" "There are plenty of girls that find late Edo era totally fascinating. Particularly the Shinsengumi."

"And most of the girls who like it are complete maniacs about it!"

"Are they popular because of the noble nature of them sacrificing their own lives for their country or could it be because of their stoic detemination? Their choice to live out their lives by the bushido code? Or could it be that we're intrigued because the worship of this group of renegade young men is somewhat forbidden? The Ikedaya inn may be well-known but it's only because of Hijikata, just imagining him after the battle of Toba-fushimi, his back to the north as he sorrowfully wandered the streets of his homeland attempting to defend the honor of the Shinsengumi all by himself. "Woah that was quite the history lesson renge" which is probably the most positive thing you've said to her in a while, not being from japan you really didn't know much about the late edo era at all.

"Not having us cast ourselves in specific roles was good advice, allowing the guests to just be free to fantasize on their own was truly a brilliant idea, renge. I'm very impressed."

"I told you it would work"

You roll your eyes, your temporary positive light on renge diminishing, returning to your work.

Mori suddenly lunged in fornt of the girls, making them fawn.

"Mori-Senpai!"

"Why the sudden lunge?

"Not getting enough attention?"

"Please calm down Mori-Senpai! I know you're upset you only have one line in each part, we're three-fourths through the season and you haven't had your own part. I know Cherry's been skipping flashback heavy episodes but I'm sure we could find a way to get you one! Is that it? I'm sorry!"

"No" Mori mutters, removing his spear, sliding open the door. "We have a trespasser"

"Takashi Morinozuka!" The boy behind the screen rushes to bow "Senpai! Please take me on as your apprentice!"

"Huh?"

"Ritsu Kasanoda, first year class D, heir to the third-generation head of the Kasanoda syndicate, the most powerful gang in the kanto area. He was admitted this year into Ouran academy's highschool. He had long red hair and a mean-looking appearance, is reserved and has few friends. It is said if your eyes meet his, you'll have bad dreams for three months. If you bump into him, you'll end up in the hospital, and talking back to him sends you to an early grave. He is so feared by his classmates that they call him the walking blizzard"

"Seriously?But why would a human weapon like yourself need to be mori senpai's apprentice?"

"Well because...look, i may be tough but I'm not a human weapon. I was just born with a face that makes me look mean all the time"

"Bossa nova?"

Kasanoda glares at the twins "I said it was Kasanoda! Do you want to die?"

the boys jump behind the couch "Wow, he really is mean looking"

"Sorry about that. This always happens because of the way I look. I've always had this mean look ever since I was born. Even when I was just a tyke, my dad would say 'Just you wait my son's gonna be the greatest gangster of all time' and so, ever since I was a kid, I've been taught how to be the godfather of a gang. My pops was a good teacher , and he made me a true gangster. That's great and all but everyon's afraid to come near me. Even my fella's are scared of me. So, I'm all alone. It's like they forget I'm young, and sometimes I just wanna play. I wanna get out with my fellas and play a game of kick the can"

"A good game of Kankeri is awesome"

"But I've been livin' the life of a gangster, and I don't know how to interact with regular people. Morinozuka-senpai that's why I need you to show me. How do you manage to have so many friends. When you're just as mean looking as me. You're expressionless, distant, and you hardly ever talk. Plus you've got a mug that looks like a watchdog from hell. So, how come you've got so many friends? What're you doing that I'm not? Please, teach me your secrets! I'm begging you!"

Mori sighs, you grimace as you realise that Kasanoda's issues may also lay in his lack of social skills.

"Hey, Takashi, are you okay?"

"I'm just a little lightheaded"

"What now boss?" "Don't you think that we should do something about this?"

"Just leave him alone. Don't get involved. Like he said, he wants to be Mori-senpai's apprentice, so that means Mori-senpai decides what to do. This isn't something that any of us should be interfering with."

"Tamaki" Mori shoots him a look begging for help.

Tamaki's eyes widen. "Well, in that case, since you insist, Mori-senpai. I, Tamaki Suoh, promise you I will do whatever I can to assist you."

"Yeah right, he wanted to get involved so badly, he couldn't bear it" you laugh at Haruhi's comment.

"Now lift your head, Bossa nova-" "-Listen it's Kasanoda"

"From now on, you may address me as King. Okay, bossa nova?"

Your head falls to the side as you watch the interaction "Do you ever think that Tamaki may have a savior complex?" Kyoya chuckles "I thought that was obvious"

"That's not my name!"

"Are you listening to me Bossa nova? there are many differences between you and our beloved Mori-senpai, but there is also one very definitive thing that you are lacking, and that is a lovely item!"

You sigh, face palming "That is definitely not it"

"Bossa nova, I'd like to introduce you to a lovely item named Mitskuni. Sure Mori-senpai looks kinda mean-looking and he may seem distant when you first meet him. but what if we put Mitskuni on his shoulders? Suddenly, it's like he's a forest teddy bear that all animals ador. In addition, this lovely item also plays up Mori-Senpai's strong and silent character. Even without saying anything just by placing Honey-Senpai next to him, people begin to have a new-found admiration for Mori-Senpai. Suddenly he's seen in a positive light as a nice, quiet, young gentleman. That's the plan. I'm not exaggerating when I say most of Mori-senpai's charm is directly related to his friend honey-senpai"

"Yeah you're right"

"Now that you mention it Mori-senpai doesn't really do anything" "Yeah his position's totally bust."

"Takeshi have you really been using me this entire time?" Honey's eyes start to well up with tears. Mori shoots out of his chair in horror.

"I'm sorry, but Honey-senpai is on a long-term lease to Mori-senpai right now, so I can't let you borrow him"

"Is Tama-chan telling the truth? Are you renting me?"

"Don't worry, i'll come up with something to take his place. So the next thing we need to discuss is your disturbing yankee fashion sense. Now Hitachiin brothers-" "Sir!" "-It's your job to make this man more fashionable!"

The twins tackle him to the ground to begin their 'makeover'

"Poor guy, they're gonna eat him alive"

"Huh? Somebody's out to get Mori-Senpai?"

"No doubt about it. I was there. I saw everything, he's obviously gotten on somebody's bad side"

"Nah, that's impossible. There's no way that Mori-Senpai would ever be on somebody's bad side"

"How can you be so sure? You don't know that"

"Don't worry your pretty little head about that, Operation: Bossa nova's total image makeover is in full effect as of right now"

"Hold on! What the hell are you talking about!" Kasanoda shoot's out of his seat, running over to where Tamaki, the twins, and Honey are stood plotting.

"This is going to end in tears" kyoya hums to agree with you, flipping through his book. You lean over to speak in a hushed tone. "Where are we at with our little stalker issue"

"They aren't very discrete I must admit, it's a miracle that Kasanoda hasn't put it together yet"

"Yeah well...something tells me that social awareness isn't his strong suit"

As you look over you find that the rest of the host club are tackling Kasanoda once again who was already wearing cat ears and now wrestling him into a maid costume

The door creaks open suddenly "Sorry to bother you, but is the young lord Kasanoda here?"

You all look to Kasanoda where he's stood dressed as a catgirl maid "So here you are" Kasanoda get's in his face "Sir it's no big deal, you can do whatever you want in your spare time"

"What you think this is a hobby of mine? Damn it! I can't take this anymore!" Kasanoda runs out the room with the guy following.

"Well that ended as to be expected"

"Maybe an image change isn't what casanova needs"

"I think you're right" Honey notes.

"I could have told you that days ago"

"Ah! Haruhi what happened? That's not blood is it?" Tamaki screaches as you all approach her and Kasanoda in the school gardens after following the two men after Kasanoda.

"Would you calm down? It's just a little paint"

"Are you sure you're alright?" Kasanoda stands up.

"Hey let go of me you bastard!"

"Damn it! You big behemoth!" You all look over to the two guys who are now aprehended by Mori, single handedly. "You play dirty Kasanoda, first you go kidnap our gang boss' kid, and then you make us deal with your damn musclebound lackeys? We know that you kidnapped the kid, just give him back, now!"

"We've heard enough out of you! We'll shut you up!" The twins tie them up.

"What the hell's going on here?"

"Don't you get it? See, Takashi wasn't on anyone's bad side these guys were after you. Until we caught them we decided not to say anything to you because we didn't want you to have to mess with them."

"I can't believe it, so you helped me? But how come"

"We can tell who the bad guys are by looking at them"

"I should probably go back and change clothes"

"Want us to come help you?"

"Drop dead"

The guy from earlier suddenly approaches the guys tied up "You dumbasses" he kicks them "Sonny!"

"Shut up! You've said enough today. Don't you get it? The reason I left was cause I was sick of hangin' out with the likes of you. Now get lost, you hear me?"

"Tetsuya, what's going on?"

"I'm sorry I've kept this from you sir. I'm Tetsuya Sendo, i am the son of the godfather of the Sendo syndicate, but i've always been opposed to the cutthroat way the syndicate goes about handling it's business. One rainy day about a year ago, my old man and i got into a fight and i ran away from home. I've never felt as anxious as I did that day, it was terrible I had nowhere to go and the people who passed me on the street just ignored me they pretended like I wasn't even there. And that's when I met you, young lord. The second I saw you I knew exactly what kind of person you were after that when I decided to join the Kasanoda syndicate, you kindly accepted me. Young lord, I know that you're more self-concious and awkward than most people but I also know that you're more kind-hearted than most people. And it's not just me, everybody in the whole syndicate knows it, they just don't say anything 'cause it would embarrass you. I, Tetsuya Sendo, realised that i wanted to become more like you. That's why I cut all ties with the Sendo Syndicate and instead joined the Kasanoda syndicate I hope young lord, that you'll allow me to remain by your side"

"Who'd have thought"

"What a great story, it's so touching"

"Oh I should probably apologise to Fujioka, after all it's my fault he got paint on his clothes"

"Haru-chan went back to change clothes!"

"Yeah? Okay" Kasanoda walks off

"We did a good thing guys"

"What are you talking about? You didn't do anything boss,

"Don't any of you care that Kasanoda went to see Haruhi, who is changing clothes?" The twins and Tamaki's faces fall as they dart off to chase after him.

"This can't be good"

You and Kyoya go to follow but before you do your phone buzzes "Wait" You place a hand on his chest to stop him while you read the message "Shit."

"What is it?"

"Sam finally decrypted those files I got from my contact, he's found proof that our theory is true, the ootori group has been knowingly keeping defunct equipment in circulation to cut costs and inflating perscription costs"

Next time on patience 'Tamaki's unwitting depression!'

"To become better than I was yesterday"

-Study Group

Wanting to study, you join a high school that you heard can help you get into university. Little unbeknownst to you it's a school where your first matter more than your brain. Little unbeknownst to them, your fists are top rank compared to your bottom rank grades.

*a long rant about this show bellow and at the end some recommendations with specific reasons as to why :))

Being based off a webtoon it carried it over to visuals very well. It mixed the essence of the webtoon with visuals and gave a balanced mix of action, heartfelt scenes, and funny moments.

I read the beginning of this webtoon ages ago and I have always been a fan of the sort of underdog storyline, and idk if it goes exactly with this story but in a way. It's definitely an underdog meets overpowered sort of trope. I feel as though the drama did the webtoon justice (as much as i remember of the webtoon). I remember it having the graphic(ish) fight scenes, the sad scenes, but also the goofy silly characters and mixed with this sort of wacky elements. (yk like the superhuman strength). It really meets a good middle of these while still pacing it well and giving us time to understand and start to appreciate the characters for who they are. I also liked the overall message of you always have the chance to start being good. That it's not the finish line if you do a bad thing and you still can be good. Also loved the casting for this. Though if I am being fair before watching it I was skeptical about Min Hyun being cast for the lead. I just wondered if this is a role he suits and can pull off, but he really did a good job and capturing the essence of the character in a way that suited him. (also side note I lowkey got mad excited when I realized Ji Sub from the eights sense was in this show). And I can't talk about the characters being great without mentioning literally all the other characters as well. Han Ji Eun, who played the teacher, also really portrayed the character from the webtoon well. I remember also finding the character in the webtoon sort of hard to like at first because she couldn't fight well, she was naive, and she couldn't really stand up for herself. However, as i'm thinking it over while writing this I think that's exactly the sort of person I am as well. I want good and I really believe there is good in everyone. So, I think her character was realistic and a good reminder of that you can do good even if you're not strong and don't have influence. (under the same category goes Sang Jungs, Do Yus, and Jong Hyuns characters). Being the only character I haven't mentioned so far Shin Su Hyun also did an immaculate job with Ji Woos character. I don't think I've seen her before but she did an amazing job and she was such a nice strong badass woman character. Anyhow, one long ass passionate rant later, I loved the show way more than I expected and I think it was comedic as hell and still had a nice message to send out into the world. You can choose to be better today than you were yesterday. Damm I be sounding inspirational. XOXO.

recommendations:

-Weak Hero: I can't really go without recommending this but I expect most ppl who have watched this to already have seen this so I will keep it simple. Also webtoon. Small friend group. Action. Highschool setting. Main character good study. Creative Fight.

-High school Return of a Gangster: Based off a webtoon, bullys getting whats coming to them, gang relation, high school, bad people turn good, cute friendship.

-Officer Black Belt (movie): not high school, someone unlikely/seemingly incapable accomplishes smth cool ( hard to explain without spoiling), same mix of underdog but strong, more crime/police

-Uncanny Counter: I will recommend this any chance I get so bare with me, high school student, weak -> strong, supernatural, comedic and action.

-and I was gonna recommend this other webtoon but apperantely it did some heinous racist shit and got pulled so will no longer be reading or recommending that. ANYHOW.

-Extracurricular: someone unexpected gets tied up in some stuff (can i literally be anymore cryptic). MC is more morally grey and it has a way darker vibe. Not really comedic but if you're looking for a good dark action messed up vibe this hits.

-Flying Colors (movie): if you're looking for smth motivational, as in the MC is more of a delinquent and doesn't care about studying to trying to get into university.

It is a really fun bromance kdrama with a lot of emotional whump, abusive parents, school bullying, etc.

I haven’t but given how close it seems to Weak Hero Class, I’ll take it!

kdramas i watched this month and what i think about them :

• hometown cha cha cha : this drama deserves a 5/5 rating for acting, plot, cinematography, script. this is a wonderful, comfort watch. you just cannot have enough of it in one watch. you NEED to rewatch it. (other dramas like this : i'll go to you when the weather is fine, soundtrack #1, welcome to samdalri, midnight romance in hagwon)

• taxi driver 1 : my friend suggested this to me. i love this. first of all let me talk about the female leads. OHMYGOD. this is basically about a taxi organisation who are also a secret organisation to fight crimes. i love the concept. (other dramas to watch if you liked this : a shop for killers, extraordinary attorney woo, wonderful world)

• see you in my 19th life : bro this drama had so much potential but idrk i'd give it a 3/5 maybe for the plot. i loved the acting. but the plot literally had so much potential to be better but it just felt off. (other dramas to watch if you liked this : a time called you, twinkling watermelon, 18 again, seasons of blossom, good day to be a dog, born again, goblin, midnight photo studio, destined with you, while you were sleeping)

• escape of the 7 + resurrection : kim soon-ok (writer) and joo dong-min (dir) slayed as always. like bro i literally felt so empty after watching penthouse. i HAD to watch this. the best thing i love about penthouse and this series is how the portray the characters. they're neither good nor bad. and i love how in the end they choose the ‘good’ side of them. plus, the plot twists had me dying. (other dramas like this : penthouse : war in life, pandora : beneath the paradise, lies hidden in your garden, mouse, born evil, cafe minamdang)

• born again : this drama is an absolute masterpiece. but. yes, BUT. the direction and cinematography was so weak like some of the scenes didn't even make sense. 5/5 for acting, plot. but the script could have been better. i mean honestly the plot is amazing. JUST AMAZING. there hasn't ever been anything like this drama. the actors absolutely devored but the direction bro. it was so ehe :(

• the atypical family : i started watching this because like it was being really popular in social media but i ended up binging it. it was amazing. like so good. this literally tells us why we DON'T need superpowers. like the concept of psychological disorders linked with their superpowers were really an amazing idea.

• hierarchy : wt actual fvck was this??? because i had SO MUCH hopes and excitement for this drama and it ended up being what — a 2/5? maybe. i liked the acting, but it wasn't a mystery drama at all. it was TOO westernised and it was just bland. just straight up bland. like bro a mystery/thriller set in highschool has so much potential to be good. eg : the pyramid game. IT WAS JUST A GOD DAMN MASTERPIECE.

• heartbeat : my blood boils everytime i remember this drama is literally THE MOST underrated drama of all time. if you need a good cry please watch it. it was just — WOW. like wow. i am literally at loss of words. idk. from the starting to the ending it was just WOW.

• midnight romance in hagwon : it is currently an ongoing drama. anyway, this is like one of those comfort dramas one goes to rewatch everytime they're down. it is just so cozy, and cute and amazing. i love it <3

• mouse : this. THIS. this altered my brain chemistry. dude wth was this????? this was just on another level. like after penthouse and escape of the 7, this is something one should definitely watch to fill the void in their heart. i cried so much bro this was so sad, and engaging and sometimes funny at the same time. i went through all the five stages of grief while watching it.

• highschool return of a gangster : this drama was STRAIGHTWASHED. ofc. why would they even show representation???? anyway i watched it because i loved the first episode but i hated the ending man. i hated it.

• hansel and gretel (movie) : literally deserves all the awards. you know what i mean. 5/5 for everything.

• destined with you : started watching it yesterday and im already halfway through. i love this bro. it is so funny ohmygod. and i absolutely love past lives and reincarnation tropes so this is a win-win!!

+ some jmovies i watched :

• monster : ion think i need to say something about this.

• re/member : loved this. 5/5 for everything. i loved the plot, especially how ‘loneliness brings people together to fight against the evil - which is literally their own loneliness’. i wish there was a part 2 of this movie tbh.

• the forbidden play : this shit messed with my head so bad, i literally had nightmares and couldn't sleep. no because this was horrendous. literally wtf???

I would like to start out with saying, they are both incredibly shy! There doesn’t seem to be much anxious energy though, so rather than assuming they have anxiety I will confidently say they are both introverts for sure. The sort of person who is quite, shy and not so talk active around new people but once they get comfortable it’s like a whole different person in front of you. Talk active, loud without noticing. Especially when they laugh! They like to joke around, or honestly just laugh really easily. Although, for your future spouse I do think it’s the first one! He likes to make jokes and see people’s reactions to it, while Chanyoung is someone who laughs and giggles easily. Especially if it’s not a humour he is used to being around or hearing! So, your future spouse is a rather playful person.

I would also like to mention they are both incredibly sweet people, and considerate. The catch is, it doesn’t feel intentional at all. It’s something that comes naturally. Making sure you don’t feel excluded, asking if you need something when they go to the store, respecting your privacy without you needing to ask, checking up on you if you ate or not, texting good night and good morning messages (probably goodnight more often though).. So, things that seem small or insignificant to some but actually matter a lot because it truly makes you feel appreciated, heard and seen by them! It’s like common sense.. “ Why wouldn’t I do it? “ sort of energy. Incredibly kind people, really.

Now, for this last part I would like to say.. I am sorry if this makes you uncomfortable, and I don’t mean to cross any boundaries.. It’s just what your guides pushed through as a message. Though, in order to be respectful both towards Chanyoung and you, as well as your future spouse I won’t expand much on this but still tell you the gist of the message. Especially since this is public. Either way.. I am so sorry to word it like this, but your spouse? A pervert. Both of them, really. Not in a way where they sexualise just about anything, they are too respectful of a people to do that. It doesn’t even come to their mind to do it. Though, they do have a dirty sense of humour.. if someone makes a dirty joke they will find it funny. Although, Chanyoung is more likely to hide it due to his shyness and hold back his laugh. As for your future spouse, they don’t. At max if their family is around.

That is all I will say about that! Aside from that, another thing they have in common is that they are both incredibly hardworking individuals.

now, for physical attributes… they have darker eyes! black, or brown that seems black. likes to dye their hair, probably black currently. this is kind of specific, but they have an unique eyebrow, possibly thick? it’s something you will notice. they could possibly have a sort of baby face, but still be very manly if they want to be. their body type is most likely similar to Soobin’s of TXT! to you, they are a foreigner.
